Reborn first stumbled upon him, the brunet with a captivating smile, when he was training at the hospital. For the lack of better word, Reborn fell in love. KHR April Angst Month 2021 DAY 6: Letters, Hospital AU/Illness, "I wish I was able to say goodbye." KHR April Angst Month DAY 2: Betrayal | Cheating | "Just where did we/I go wrong?"

Where did I go wrong?

A familiar back with familiar black hair, black fedora thrown somewhere, a slender hand cupping, grabbing, clutching, black spiky locks of his beloved lover, and the sound of lips against lips echoed loudly.

Tsuna watched raptly and heartbreakingly, his attention at the detestable fingers on the scalp of his dear Reborn, and of the scene uncovering before him.

He watched as his lover snog a woman unknown to him, kissing back a person that wasn't him. And Tsuna could barely hear the sound of his footsteps as his heart halted to a stop, and before he knew it he was running towards them and that he had violently grabbed the filthy woman by the arm to pull her away from Reborn.

"Get away from my boyfriend!"

Soon he was rounding towards Reborn and shouting.

"...Where... Where did I go wrong, Reborn?! Why... Why are you kissing someone else when you have me?

...Am I... Am I not enough?!"

Words spilled from his throat, tears ran through his cheeks, but above all else he was clutching on Reborn's shirt; afraid and desperate to be answered and loved.

Tsuna didn't want to be discarded. He could still do this, he could fix this. He would change. Anything just so Reborn would stay by his side and never look at anyone except him.

"I'm sorry... that I'm lacking... What do you want me to do? Please tell me how I can be enough and I'll do it... Please… Reborn…!"

A warm embrace enveloped him and he found himself on his knees. That Reborn had his hand on his hair and kissed his forehead; murmuring soft apologies on his skin.

"Tsuna… I'm sorry... I will not make the same mistake. Will you forgive me just this once, Tsuna?"

And because Tsuna loved Reborn with all his heart that hearing the man apologize for something that was Tsuna's fault, there was just no way Reborn would cheat on him if Tsuna had been enough, he couldn't help but nod even as he responded shakily, bonelessly tired that he was putting all of his weight on Reborn.

"I forgive you, Reborn, always. Just… Please… don't leave me please..."

Reborn cupped his cheek tenderly and said with a smile. "I'll stay, thank you, Tsuna." Then Reborn was kissing him fully on the lips.

…

...It was the first of the many affairs that Reborn would get into and that Tsuna would forgive.
