Marinette Dupain-Cheng had been started to think that she should be giving a break about pursuing Adrien Agreste as it was taking up so much of her time and looked to something else to spend her time on. However fate had implacable timing as her parents revealed to her that they had been chosen to cater at a rock and roll fan convention where Jagged Stone would be one of the guests and they had gotten her a ticket. She had been so excited and gave about a hundred thanks a minute as she embraced her parents.

The convention she decided would be the perfect place to forget about Adrien for the time being, she had fun at the convention while wearing a copy she had made of her favourite jacket of Jagged's. She had found a cute boy taller than her at the convention playing his guitar when she ended up tripping up and had almost crashed head first into him as he was sitting on the seat.

She had given a thousand apologies as he had helped her up and had pretty much stuttered out her name when introducing herself. The boy had introduced himself as Luka and had actually played notes on his guitar that he said that her soul felt like. They had spent most of her their time at the convention together especially then they both had gotten Jagged's autograph. Near the end of it Marinette ended up if he wanted to meet up for ice cream together at another time and he had agreed.

They swapped numbers and Marinette couldn't believe that she barely thought about Adrien ever since he had met Luka and she could actually have a normal conversation with him! She had thought about telling Alya and the other girls about him but was afraid that anything with Luka would be ruined by a scheme that Alya would cook up to help them. She was not ready to let her know just yet.

They had met up a few times after that and Luka had actually asked if she wanted to go to the ice rink together as a date and she was screaming on the inside even though that she was visibly silent. She had ended up saying yes and was squealing on her bed in excitement as she got home and Tikki was teasing her asking if she would give up on pursuing Adrien.

Marinette thought about it and decided that yes she was happy with Luka and her pursuing Adrien was getting very unhealthy for her.

It was a nice time especially as Luka held her hands to help keep her balance and his words made Marinette feel like the most important girl in the world as far as he was concerned. It was amazing. Afterwards Luka asked if next time they could go see a movie and giggled as Marinette squealed that she would be alright with any movie as long as it was not a horror movie as she hated those.

On that Saturday she had awakened up and was excited to go see the movie with Luka but she had gotten a text from Alya:

Girl, Rose wants us to start rehearsals at her house for the new band Kitty Section. I said I would film so you wanna come over and show any designs that you have for costumes?

Marinette's eyes widened as they had been talking about putting together a band and Juleka even said that she was planning on asking her brother if he wants to take part as he played guitar. She shook her head wishing that they had decided on this on more short notice.

Sorry can't today as I want to go see a movie. I can send over photos of my designs and we can meet up later.

Marinette held her breath for Alya's reply:

Fair enough but if you wanted to go to the movies we could have gone together if Rose hadn't come to me about this.

Marinette was kind of glad that she didn't tell Alya beforehand of her planned movie trip as she would have had to explain why she didn't want Alya to come with her and Alya probably would have gotten the reason from her why.

She had said goodbye to her parents as she went to the cinema and met up with Luka as they went in hand in hand. It was an action comedy that they had seen and it was a nice time watching it. They walked out and Marinette wanting to spend more time with him ended up saying "do you want me to walk you home... If you can show me where you live..."

Marinette was kicking herself mentally as Luka giggled as he said "I can show you inside, my sister is out with her friends and my Mum has a get together with some old bandmates of hers." Luka told her and she thought that he must have such a musical family.

She was shocked to see that his home was a small houseboat that was dubbed the Liberty, he unlocked the door and showed her inside and while small it looked nice. "You think this is a comfortable place to kiss the most beautiful girl in all of Paris?" Luka asked taking her hand as she giggled in embarrassment with red in her cheeks.

They found the door opening and in came a surprised looking Juleka and her eyes were as wide as Marinette's was. "Juleka, what are you doing here?" Marinette asked but then noticed family pictures on the wall and there was Luka and Juleka in them together smiling with an older woman who had to be Luka's mum.

"This is my home, what are you doing with my brother..." Juleka replied as she stood stunned and Marinette's eyes widened in comprehension. Luka said her sister was out with friends and Juleka said that her brother could play guitar for the band. Plus she remembered that Juleka's surname was Couffaine the same as Luka's. "Wait... Luka, is Marinette the girl you met at the convention and have been seeing?" Juleka asked as she ran out of the door.

"You know Juleka?" Luka asked curiously as Marinette was beyond embarrassed at this.

"She is one of my friends in my class; I had forgotten her surname..." Marinette said as Luka just looked amused but she had a realisation. What was Juleka doing back at her home and was Kitty Section and Alya outside...
