If you've been on my forum, you'd know about the one word writing prompts I've posted. (If you haven't been on my forum, then you're more than welcome.) Here are my contributions. One for each day of the month. These are like my Tales from Radiator Springs, but a lot shorter. The name of each chapter is the one word prompt.
Fabulous Cars Crazy Fudge Popcorn
Beginning
"Okay, Fudge", Dr. Cartwright began gently. "Just try to raise your foot a little bit."
Tentatively, Fudge tried to raise her foot.
"Ow!" she cried. "Ow, ow, OWWW!" The thirteen-year-old was quick to lower her foot.
"My poor angel!" Luigi exclaimed sympathetically. He kissed his daughter. "Does it really hurt? I will shout at McQueen when we get home."
"Don't do that!" Fudge told him hurriedly. Her father still blamed Lightning for what happened, but she didn't. She understood that it was an accident and he felt bad enough as it was. "It just hurts! I'll never walk again!"
"I'm sure you will", Dr. Cartwright spoke up. "You just need to keep trying."
"But it's hard!" Fudge protested.
"No one said this was going to be easy, angel", Luigi pointed out."Things seem hard right now because you are at the beginning of this. There will be an end."
Fudge thought about that. It was true. She knew that from her racing. Even the longest journey had to start somewhere. Just as she always did, she visualised the finish line. The light at the end of the tunnel. It seemed so far away, but with her family by her side, she knew she could get there.
"Do you want to try again?" Dr. Cartwright asked.
"Okay!" Fudge agreed, keeping a positive attitude. For the next five minutes, anyway.
Yeah, so that's how long they're gonna be and a few of them are set during Ride.
