"Ain't that what you s'posed to do?
Cake's on the menu
Ain't I s'posed to eat it too?
Cake's on the menu"
-T. Songz
A brisk breeze blew over the bustling streets of Möbius. It was currently 5:06 in the evening, most shops were packed for the rush hour of the weekday. Excluding the shop at the corner of Sunset Hill Street.
Vanilla's Cafe, as it name was owned by a cheerful mother respectively of the name Vanilla and her sweet daughter Cream.
It was home of the best breakfast, sweetest of sweets, and fabulous teas and cafe. The usual busy hours are mainly early morning to late afternoons, quiet down for evenings to closing. There's a few stragglers here and there but what's a restaurant without one.
The place was ideal job, mainly to wolf. Even though she's not fond of working close to people or putting herself out there she's surrounded by her friends she made at her former college, which makes the job ten times better. Creams a true sweetheart, there be no way she could of taken more or less one of people she don't know.
She's highly leery of people she doesn't know at all. Doesn't like to get to know anyone mainly stays to herself.
But that never stopped people like Cream, Amy, and Jewel from befriended her. She smiled as they gathered around the table on their breaks talking.
She hasn't really paid attention, mainly been staring out the window at the view. Quiet gorgeous and lovely, the season to be fall has finally knocked on the door.
The vibrant leaves swayed along the wind, knocking two off the tree. The orangish tarnish leaf intertwined with yellowish green leaf. Swirling, twirling, and weaving as though they were dancing to the song of the wind, before gently landing on the puddle, causing a light whirlpool affect in the shimmering yellow lights.
The sun began to set, signaling off a bright reddish orange shine in the horizon of the sky. The clouds covered the sun a tad bit, but still allowing the sun to peak through. The fresh dew of the grass swayed with the wind, the droplets from the lamppost hit the street, catching an teal eye of the wolf gaze.
The bell rung, signifying a customer had came into a shop. It was a grey hedgehog, with messy quills with a board stature. He gave off a goofy smile, before speaking.
"Hey gals, how are y'all doing today." He excitedly said.
The young women giggled at the grey hedgehog, before Cream spoke. "We're doing fine, just chatting before the shop closes up in a few." She beamed.
"Oh! Is it too late to get some tea and a sandwich?" Silver asked.
"Never too late for that, plus your our honorary customer how can we not say no!" The pink hedgehog smiled.
The girls head over to the counter to prepare the meal as well as prepare to close up the shop.
Silver happily sat down in the booth gleaming at the sight Whisper admired.
While making the meal, the bell rung again. Another customer came to the shop.
"Just a second!" Jewel shouted, as she cut the sandwiches.
"A second? Times precious sweetly! a female voice joked.
Jewel looked up and immediately jumped over the counter. "You came! You came!" She exclaimed while hugging the stranger.
The female chuckled, by this time Whisper peaked her head to see who it was.
A cheerful lemur was the source.
She was tall, slender, but has a feminine build to her. Her violet eyes met her teal ones. She could of sworn she saw a flicker of some sort.
"Of course I came, why wouldn't I! " she gleamed
The pair shared a laugh, then Jewel said, "I'm glad your here, I've been trying to get you to come for weeks."
"I know I know, my bad, you know how busy I've been." Chuckling nervously while putting a hand at the back of her head.
"I won't hold it against you this time." Beamingat the lemur, until a weird sound came from her belly.
She peered towards Tangle . "Do you wanna something to eat?"
"Yea that'll be nice y'know!" Inwardly smirking before catching a glimpse of the girl behind her.
"My friend Whisper will be able to take your order." Jewel said while rolling her eyes, gesturing towards the wolf.
Tangle nodded stepping forward, as Jewel left briefly.
The wolf was on guard!
Not only because she's never eyes on her, but it's the personae the lemur gave off.
She smirked, eyed the female down, before placing her elbows on the counter.
"What will you like to order?" She professionally spoke.
"I'd like to have dessert for starters." She winked.
"What will that be ma'am?"
"You!" She flashes a smile.
The wolf widen her expression, not used to this sort of attention. She quickly shook it off and glared back.
Approaching the counter, the lemur tilts her head in the palm of hands.
The wolf was quite attractive herself. Her hazel fur with her patchy tan muzzle. Her skink eyes with a hint of her teal jewels. The adorable bang accompanying the look of the wolf. She simply sighed at the sight of the beautiful wolf. Her violet eyes lending down to her feminine features. She wasn't skinny nor slim, but a nice mixture of both, alongside a good build. She peered to her left breast which had a name tag.
Whisper
It fits her quite well going off her demeanor.
The wolf noticed and immediately gets defensive, repeating the question to the looming female.
"I've asked what type of dessert?" Her tone harsher than usual.
The lemur chuckle before standing upright. She quite taller than the wolf thought. Only two inches to be exact.
"I'll like some cake!" She smug.
The wolf blushed at the toned.
"What kind?" Avoiding the gaze.
"What kind are ya?" She smirked, eyeing the wolf.
Whisper whole body radiated in heat. This wasn't what she expected from a customer at all.
Usually they're polite, conversational or blatantly rude depending on the hour.
Never had they been flirtatious.
"I'm sorry what ?" She gulped.
"Well judging by the looks." She licked her lips, "I'll have a carrot cake." She leaned towards the wolf, her arms across the counter. Her violet eyes peering into her barely visible teal ones. So close she can feel her perfume. It had a tangly fresh pine scent to her, which suits her. The wolf backs up flustered, "one carrot cake coming right up!" Ignoring the lingering looks of the girl before
"Oh and don't forget to bring it to me, cutie." She flirtatiously winked.
The wolf blushed.
Cursed the lemur for dropping her guard and features.
She shakily began to cut the cake into pieces confused by the overall interaction.
What is up with her, why she allowing this girl to get her worked up. Who is she anyways to make her feel this way.
Not that she didn't mind at all
Wait what?
Shaking the thought out of mind, the quiet wolf handed the dessert the lemur who sat in booth, grinning widely.
"Here's your cake!" Slipping the bag into the lemurs hand.
Their fingers intertwined together, by accident of course, causing the already flustered wolf to heat up even more.
Tangle taking advantage of the situation clasping her hands in the wolf's palms, yanking her closer.
Their bodies touched one other
Whisper never been this close to anyone in her life, she was so taken aback as why this is happening or why she's allowing this to happen.
It just felt right to her, it felt natural, like she's supposed to be with her
Her body tingled at the thought as well as the close proximity to the lemur.
She gazed into her everlasting violet eyes, so bright, smooth around the edges, not to mention the freckles on her cheek, those soft plush lips...
Lips?!
Before the wolf could even registered, soft lips pressed against hers.
Her tender lips gaze hers cautiously before pulling back.
Lilac eyes meet teal ones.
Soft smile plastered on the freckled face, rocking back on the heels on her feet.
Shorter girl touched her lips unsure with the feeling she just felt
Before unknowingly reason stood on the balls of her feet, pressing her lips against the lemurs when she rocked back into her.
Smack echoing throughout the store lobby.
Tangle caught off guard by the wolf sudden change of action.
"Didn't know she hadn't in her" a chuckle escaping at the thought.
She lent up her fingers lifting the shorter girls chin closer to hers, bringing her closer. Her tongue brushing over her lips. Whisper, shockingly invited, placing her arms on the lemurs shoulder.
The taller girl herself brought her other arm around the wolf's thin waist closing the tiny gap between them, tilting her head to allow the kiss further even more.
Whisper in all honestly enjoyed this despite herself. She didn't know what the deal was, but this lemur has awaken something in her. Something that she never thought she had.
She deepened the kiss between, wrapping her arms around her neck, their tongues danced, causing a short gasp escaping from her mouth from the lemur squeezing her waist, gentle fingers tickled her side and caressing her hips.
The wolf's hand found its way on the side of her head pressing harder, longing more for the kiss.
She felt at peace, content with the other girl's world.
Nothing can ruin this moment
Until now.
"When I meant Whisper could assist you, I didn't mean that!" A familiar voice shouted.
Their little world came to a halt at the blistering beetle
Whisper pushed the lemur away, embarrassed about allowing herself to get so close to a stranger.
Tangle only smug.
"Oh come on, I got what I ordered right!" Winking in the general direction of the wolf.
Fear radiated throughout her body before facing her fellow coworker, she hoped that only the beetle saw their little interaction.
Unfortunately, no.
Behind the beetle presented a wide-eyed rabbit and a smirked hedgehog.
Well shit.
Kissing has consequences?
"Well that's true, but employees aren't on the menu." Amy said while handing confused hedgehog his sandwich.
"Well that's too bad, she's sure worth the meal." Slowly approaching the counter.
She scribbled something on the napkin, walking towards the wolf.
"I'm open after hours, whenever you're ready to work for me!" Her violet eyes flicker, blowing kiss.
The wolf stood still, staring at the lemurs retreating form.
"I'll be back for another, catch y'all later!" Leaving a distressed wolf, a wide eyed rabbit, annoyed beetle, a squiggly hedgehog, and a confused hedgehog.
I hope to see her again.
Clutching the napkin close to her heart.
