It was a nice sunny Thursday afternoon; Lincoln had just finished school and was waiting by the road for Vanzilla to come by.
"Hey Lincoln!" His best friend Clyde greeted him.
Lincoln turned and looked at his companion with a huge smile!
"Hey Clyde, what's up?" Lincoln asked him.
"So, me and my dads are planning on going to the opera tonight, Placido Domingo is preforming and apparently, it's a big deal to them, so I'm wondering if you would like to come since my dads accidently bought a spare ticket, its tonight at 8pm, you interested?" Clyde asked him with a pleading tone.
Lincolns happy expression turned into sadness the moment Clyde's sentence finished.
"Aw man Clyde I'd like to go but my sister Luna is planning on taking me to a Rock concert tonight, some band called AC/DC is playing and that is also a big deal according to her!" Lincoln sighed.
"Oh okay, no problem! I was just hoping that my best friend would come to support me through a long and boring night!" Clyde said sounding unimpressed.
"I'm really sorry Clyde, if it was another night, I'd be happy to attend, how about I make it up to you at the weekend, we can go to Gus games & grub?" Lincoln smiled.
Clyde's annoyed face suddenly turned to an excited one.
"Okay, I forgive you, sure well go to Gus games & Grub on Saturday!" Clyde smiled.
As soon as Clyde said that Vanzilla drove up to the sidewalk, with Lori driving.
"Come on twerp, get in were going to the mall first before we go home!" Lori quickly shouted.
"Okay just a sec!" Lincoln replied to her.
"I better get going to Lincoln, see you tomorrow!" Clyde said before quickly leaving encase he gets another nosebleed for the trillionth time!
Just before Lincoln made his way to the van, his other siblings Lola, Lana, Lucy and Lisa came rushing past knocking Lincoln to the ground.
"Hey watch it!" Lincoln shouted to them as he quickly pulled himself back up.
"What? You were like literally going at a turtle's pace!" Lola with her bratty attitude said.
"Sorry Linc!" Lana quickly replied to him.
"My dearest brother, I am so sorry I knocked you over!" Lucy replied in her usual monotone voice.
"My apologies, my only male brother of the family I hope you gain a speedy recovery!" Lisa said in her usual over the top smart voice.
Lincoln looked at them with a hurt face knowing that they really never cared that they pushed him down to the ground and never bothered to help him up.
"Get in twerp, gawd how many times do I need to tell you Lincoln?" Lori shouted.
Lincoln after hearing Lori shout quickly got into the car with out hesitation.
Once they arrived at the "Royal Woods Mall", they all quickly got out of the van and headed towards the entrance. The place wasn't to crowded as usual, it was quiet for a Thursday afternoon.
When they were all inside Lori was about to give orders to the five of them.
"Alright Lincoln, you're in charge of looking after your sisters, I'm only going to be gone for about forty-five minutes, got that?" Lori demanded.
"Wait what exactly are you doing to be doing during that time period?" Lincoln questioned looking angry that he had been put in charge of his younger siblings.
"Well, the ladies clothing department has a 45% off skirts, and I am going on a romantic picknick with Bobby on Friday!" Lori squealed.
"Ugh, no thanks!" Lincoln said whilst gagging.
"Shut it twerp!" Lori threatened.
After that exchange Lori quickly ran to the ladies clothing department of the mall, leaving Lincoln with his younger sisters.
"Lincoln, can I please go to the beauty salon, I want to check out their new nail polish that they just brought out!" Lola pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
"Lincoln, please can I go to the book department, I hear they've brought out a new copy of Twilight!" Lucy said in her monotone voice.
"Elder brother, I require a quick trip to the lavatory to release, well as the common people say, to take a leak?" Lisa required.
"Guys calm down, right here is the plan, we will each take ten minuets per sibling visiting your favourite store, and for your favourite store Lisa, the lavatory!" Lincoln suggested.
"Fine by us!" The sisters said in union.
After their discussion, Lincoln went with them to the bathroom and stood outside the girl's bathroom, whilst they were all in there, next they visited the book department where Lucy was trying to find an apparently new copy of Twilight, but instead they found a rip off version instead.
Next, they went to the beauty salon, where Lola was admiring their new nail polish, some famous actress had made them into her own brand or something, after that they visited the pet store where Lana was checking out their new brought in pets, especially the rats.
"Alright guys, that's it times up!" Lincoln told Lana and the others.
"Aw man, please Linc just five more minutes" they all pleaded!
"No buts, now come on Loris probably waiting for us at the entrance!" Lincoln told them firmly.
When they all walked outside the pet store, Lincoln saw a group of teenagers who looked about fifteen with long hair and tight black jeans with what also looked to be some sort of leather jacket with patches on it and they all had arm bracelets with spikes coming out of them.
"Ew, guys with long hair make me sick!" Lola said whilst trying not to gag.
"These guys look awesome, especially that one with the spikey bracelet on his arm!" Lana said with a smile.
"Yeah Lana, they do look awesome, wonder why their dressed like that though?" Lincoln asked himself.
"Say Lincoln, you never got to visit any stores!" Lucy told him.
"Oh yeah I never!" Lincoln said whilst looking down at his watch!
"Okay, we've got fifteen more minutes before Lori finishes her shopping trip!" Lincoln said to them.
"Wait how come you get five more minuets than we do?" Lola argued.
"Yeah, that's not fair!" Lana pouted.
Lincoln looked at them, they all were looking annoyed especially Lola, then he looked back towards the pet store, to which an idea formed in his head.
"Okay guys, how about this? You four all stay at the pet store whilst I go and look at whatever store I want, but you all have to promise not to leave this exact spot, okay?" Lincoln asked them.
"Yes, please Linc, please?!" Lana hugged them joined by the others.
"You got fifteen more minuets in there, but you got to promise that you'll be on your best behaviour and you'll stay in the store until I get back, right?" Lincoln told them.
"We promise!" They all again said in union.
"Good!" Lincoln said whilst smiling.
Once he finished talking to them, they all went back inside the store. Lincoln then walked down the way to where the teenagers he saw earlier were. Once he walked for a couple of more minutes, he saw the group of teenagers from earlier. They were all outside what appeared to be a new record store, the store was called "Hell Flame Records!" The teenagers were looking at what appeared to be a vinyl something that Lincoln had only seen in his dad's personal collection up in the attic.
Lincoln walked to the entrance of the store to where the teenagers were standing outside off. Lincoln then walked up to one of them who was holding the vinyl. The teenagers had long black curly hair that went down to his nipples, he wore a torn jean jacket with patches of what looked to be band logos.
"Um, excuse me? What's that you've got? It looks really awesome!" Lincoln asked him.
The teenager and his friends turned around to face Lincoln. Lincoln felt tense as he saw the vinyl cover. The cover was white with some guy lying down on the floor with his guts being torn apart by demons on it.
"Oh this, it's a vinyl, its being trendy again so we bought one, its by a band called Suicide Silence!" The teenager said to Lincoln.
Lincoln cringed at the name because he never knew what suicide meant.
"What does that mean?" Lincoln asked him.
Once he asked him, he and his friends burst out laughing.
"Man, you kid these days," he said whilst wiping away a tear from laughing so hard.
"It means that you're going to kill yourself!" One guy said.
"Shut it, Luke!" the teenager warned him.
"Oh, uh sorry Ace!" Luke replied.
"Ace cool name!" Lincoln smiled.
"Thanks kid, say you going to go in there?" Ace asked him.
"Yeah, don't have much time though!" Lincoln said back to him.
"Well, be warned kid a lot of awesome things are in there, not stuff for young kids like yourself!" Ace smirked.
"I aint no kid!" Lincoln frowned.
"Whatever, good luck kid!" Ace said.
With that the group of teenagers walked away from the store leaving Lincoln by himself in front of the record store. Lincoln then made his way inside, to which his jaw dropped. He saw something amazing, around the record store were different guitars that were high on the walls of each corner, different drum branded kits were placed at the far back, and in the centre were records upon records, there was also band merch at the register where the cashier was, he looked like someone in his early twenties with a bit of a gut, long brown hair and a beard.
Lincoln walked towards the centre of the shop, there he gazed upon the vinyl section. Lincoln picked up a record that had the band name (MEGADETH) the album was called (Peace sells… But who's buying?), the album was like it was on Mars with a skeleton with a suit at the front also.
"Wow this is awesome!" Lincoln said to himself.
Lincoln then quickly checked his watch which is when he felt his heart stop. He was five minuets late; Lori was going to kill him on the spot! He quickly rushed out of the store and down hall where the pet shop was and he noticed it had closed and looked around for the girl's, that is when he saw Lori and the rest of the gang marching up towards him!
"LINCOLN LOUD!" Lori practically yelled at him.
"Oh. Hey Lori, um find any new dressed?" Lincoln said nervously.
"You bet I did, also why did I find your siblings left alone in a PET SHOP!" She yelled out the last part.
"Um, you see Lori!" Lincoln started saying before Lori interrupted him.
"Hold on. I don't want to hear it, we will talk about it when we get home, understand?" Lori told him.
Lincoln looked down at his feet.
"Yes mam!" He quickly said.
"Good, lets go everyone!" Lori said to them all.
When they were all outside of the mall, Lori looked back to Lincoln and noticed he was holding something in his right hand.
"Hey Lincoln, what's that?" Lori asked puzzled.
Lincoln looked at his right hand, he noticed he was still holding the vinyl, his whole body ran pale knowing he forgot to pay for it and had practically walked out with barley anyone noticing until now.
"Lincoln? Answer me, Lincoln!" Lori said loudly.
Lincoln was still standing still staring down at the vinyl, he then returned into reality knowing he had to come up with an excuse, he could not tell her he forgot to pay for it! Lori would literally turn him into a human pretzel! So, he came up with an excuse.
"Oh, you see they were having a clearance at the Hell Flame Records and I saw this which looked really awesome, so I forgot I had $5 tucked away in my jean pocket!" Lincoln lied.
Lori looked over to the vinyl and made a disgusted face.
"Ew , what's that on the front, and what's a Megadeth?" Lori asked him.
"Oh, it's a band!" Lincoln quickly said back.
"Okay, whatever twerp, now let's head back to vanzilla, and remember Lincoln you're going to the concert tonight with Luna!" Lori quickly reminded him.
Lincoln almost forgot about the concert tonight, he then looked down at the vinyl he took and wondered what they sounded like guess hell find out sooner than expected.
