The Rearing Stag

Hello all I'm back with a new story. Last time you saw me was with my crossover story 'The Rise of Peverell' which I immediately banned and left for dead. A lot has happened since then and my muse has come back and kicked my butt into gear. So here is a whole new story for you all. I'm only going to be focusing on this for the time being and staying away from crossovers for a bit because I believe that was one of the reasons, I stopped wanting to write in the first place. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this story and any feedback on what I need to work on is always appreciated.
The Sun rose over the sea casting red and golden hues across the waves. In the distances a massive castle made from red stone could be seen reaching up into the sky. Boats could be seen leaving the safety of the harbors and docks to go out and catch the fish for the day. Approaching this massive castle and the equally massive city that surrounded it was a small trading ship bearing black and gold colors with a silver stag rearing up on its sails. Standing at the helm where two men. The man at the wheel was of average height and build with dark skin. He wore light and breathable pants and had a wide brim hat to help keep the raising sun out of his face. The man beside him was tall easily being six and a half feet tall wearing leather armor with dark hair and eyes he towered over everyone else on the ship.
"How much longer till we dock captain?" the tall man asked staring at the growing city.
"Shouldn't be more than an hour or two, Lord Jasper." The captain looking at the now identified Jasper replied. "how long has it been since you last saw King's Landing?" the captain asked while moving the wheel slightly.
"I haven't been in this city since my brother was crowned king." Jasper replied leaning against the railing. "I can see it hasn't changed much, still a stinking pile of garbage. Just like how I remember." He laughed and turned towards the captain. "Call for me before we dock, I'm going to make sure all of my gear and gifts are together and ready to move." Jasper called as he made his down into the hull heading for his cabin. 'It's been 17 years since I saw my brothers. I wonder if they have changed much?' He thought as he moved into his cabin. It was not big or extravagant, but it suited him fine for the voyage home. Leaning against the wall was a massive two-handed axe with a squared axe head and a hook at the top. The handle was a dark brown wood almost looking black with golden inlays running up and down it. The axe head itself was a dark and smokey metal that seem to half ripple on it. At the end of handle there was a darkened steel pommel in the shape of a stag's head. As Jasper moved throughout his cabin checking his chests and bags making everything he needed was packed and ready to move. He noticed a presence behind him. Turning round he came face to face with a beautiful woman. She had dark black flowing hair that reached the middle of her back and deep dark green eyes that seem to notice every little movement he made. Jasper smirked and wrapped his arms around her. "Bast what have I said about sneaking up on me?" He asked as he moved to kiss her neck.
"Not to my Lord. Unless I wanted to be punished for it." Bast purred back as she tilted her neck and pushed herself flush against him. "how much time do we have before we dock my love?" she asked as she began to grind against him and tried to push him towards the cot in the cabin.
Jasper growled and bit her neck "we should be docking within the hour." He replied. As he pulled his head away and looked at the women. She smiled up at him and again tried to push him towards the cot. Jasper smiled and lifted her up and threw onto it. "Sadly, love we don't have time for your punishment, but I have heard the brothels in King's Landing have vastly improved since I was here." He said as he turned around to look trough one of the chests.
Pouting and standing up Bast walked over and draped herself across his back. "Hmm, Well I guess I can wait for my fun. But you will be taking me to the finest whorehouse as compensation." She said and lightly bit his ear. "I still don't understand why we had to come here Jasper. We left all of our men behind and had to refuse several contracts form Pentos." She said getting up and moving to sit on the cot. "Why couldn't you have sent a letter and the gifts?" she asked leaning back and watching me move around.
"Because Jon Arryn died my dear." Jasper replied looking up and focusing on her. "Not only has he been the Hand to the King since my brother was crowned, he also was a second father to him. I wanted to return and make sure he and my younger brothers are doing fine. I also wanted to see my niece and nephews for the first time." He explained walking over and sitting next to her. "You have nothing to worry about with the company, Adrag is leading them, and I trust him to make sure the company stays strong and in fighting shape."
"I just don't like being hundreds of miles from our men." Bast replied leaning against him. "I know Adrag will keep them in line and keep the money flowing but still. I would feel a lot safer if we brought some of them with us."
Jasper nodded and wrapped his arm around her. "I know but we can't just ask the men to come with us across the Narrow Sea just because it would make us feel better. They're fighters and warriors and they don't want to sit around with their thumbs up their asses while I'm here dealing with family."
"I know…" Bast began but was cut off from a shout from above.
"My lord we are about to dock." The Captain called out. Jasper hearing the call smiled and kissed Bast on the cheek before rushing up stairs to see the crew rushing around getting ready to dock.
Moving towards the Captain Jasper smiled and clapped the man on the back. "When you said you could get me to King's Landing in two days, I didn't believe you. But you kept your word and got me here fast and safe."
The Captain smiled and laughed. "I told you 'The Swallow' was the fastest ship when we eft Pentos my Lord." The Captain smiled and slapped the railing. "She is the finest ship to ever come out of Summer Isle."
"Indeed, she is Captain. I due believe I owe you some gold, don't I?" Jasper said reaching down and pulling a coin purse off his belt. "300 Dragons just as I said." He tossed it the Captain and watched as he caught it. Opening it up and making sure the money was real. As the Captain was counting the coin Bast came up from the hold and stood next to Jasper watching as the crew threw lines and pulled, the ship into dock. "Welcome to King's Landing Love. What do you think?" He asked moving his arm to sweep across the dock.
Bast looking around, turned to him and scrunched up her nose. "It stinks worse than a battlefield on a hot day." She said covering her nose with her hand trying and failing to keep the stench out. "Does this city not know what plumbing is?"
Jasper laughed at her question and shook his head. "No, when the Targaryen's built this place they never thought about it growing to this size never mind plumbing." Jasper walked over to the Captain, who was still counting all the coins. "Captain, I shall be leaving now. Thank you for the speedy trip and I'll make sure someone comes and get my effects before the day is done. "The Captain just waved him off and nodded his head. Jasper turned back around and moved back to Bast who was waiting by the ramp of the ship. Taking her arm, he led her down the ramp and onto the docks. As they moved offed the ship Jasper steered them through crowd towards a couple of gold cloaks who stood near the entrance to the city. Walking up to the guards Jasper asked them to retrieve his belongs from 'The Swallow' and to bring them to the Red Keep. When asked why they would do that. Jasper simply said "My name is Jasper Baratheon, and I am the brother of the King.
