LA Airport
Steve was waiting for his and Catherine's next flight in a store when he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He saw a man that looked suspiciously like someone he met months ago but he couldn't be sure what to think about that.
'It can't be Wes Cullen, that guy died in an explosion.' Steve thought to himself.
The guy noticed him watching him and walked up to him, looking annoyed, which Steve couldn't blame him for that.
'Great, now I will probably get into trouble for stalking.' Steve thought, now annoyed.
"Excuse me, did you want to tell me something or what?" The man asked.
"Oh, sorry, it's just… well, you looked a lot like someone I knew once and I wasn't struck by the resemblance." Steve explained.
The man looked surprised by what Steve had said, like he wasn't expecting that kind of answer and just nodded at that.
"What is your name, sir?" The man asked.
"Steve McGarrett," Steve said with a smile, reaching out his hand.
"Don Eppes." The man said, shaking Steve's hand.
"So what brings you to the airport?" Steve asked.
"Picking up my wife, she was in a conference in New York, you?" Don asked
"Not sure, but my girlfriend seems to know as we have a layover in Denver." Steve answered, not wanting to tell him where he was going at the moment.
"Well, wherever you go, I hope you have a good life there." Don said as he waved to a brunette coming off the airplane.
"That's your wife?" Steve asked, smiling at her.
"Yep," Don said smiling as his wife came over to them.
"Don, who is this guy?" The woman asked.
"Steve McGarrett, meet my wife, Robin." Don said, as Steve shook her hand.
"Nice to meet you guys." He said as Catherine came over.
"Steve, there you are, our plane will start boarding in a couple minutes." Catherine said, looking at the people he was talking to.
"Catherine, I was just talking to Don and Robin, as I thought Don was someone else that I had met a couple times." Steve said.
This caused Catherine to laugh as she couldn't imagine anyone looking like the man but she figured she'll ask him about it later.
"Ready, Steve?" She asked.
"Yes, I am, let's go." Steve said, "It was great meeting you Don."
"Likewise, hope to see you again sometime." Don said.
"Me, too." Steve said as he and Catherine went to go board their plane.
'He looks so much like that guy, that is an interesting coincidence that I will find out someday.'
