Sup, I'm reposting this because it was very broken last time. This is my first story, Thanks for reading :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson or Harry Potter. Those belong to Rick Riordan and J.K. Rowling respectively. I think pretty sure I own the plot but FF rules are really confuzzling.

Hades sighed, "So are we all in agreement? We choose another champion?"

Hecate spoke urgently, "We don't have another choice, the restrictions on us are far too expansive, and we need someone to at very least slow it down."

Melione hummed, "I would hate to drag another one into this. The last one didn't make it very far..."

Hades made a noncommittal noise, "I mean, is it really necessary. I'm sure we can do it on our own."

Angelos gave Hades a pointed look, "You know we can't. Kairos can't even leave the Hall anymore. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean you can doom the rest of us."

"My son could do the job just as well..." Hades trailed off.

Angelos rested his head on his hand, "Hades, I've known you for the last 5 millennium. You would never elect your son for a job like this one. And besides, your son wouldn't accept anyway. He loves that Solace boy of his too much."

Hades slumped in his throne, "Very well," he said defeated, "It is decided then, Percy Jackson is to be declared Champion of the Rift."

Percy sat on the chair at his desk in Cabin 3, staring idly at the college application paperwork. He and Annabeth had been planning on going to it together.

Keyword being had.

They had talked about it for hours aboard the Argo II. They were planning on heading to the same college, and after graduation, they could get married.

Now, none of that matters.

During the final battle with Gaia, she died fighting a Laistrygonian giant, or as she called them, Canadians. He could almost still see her...

"Annabeth!" Percy yelled across the chaos of the battlefield.

"I'll be fine! Go help the others!" She yelled back, impaling a hellhound with her drakon-bone sword.

Percy glanced back but did what he was told. He didn't want to leave her alone, not after Tartarus. Certainly not here, but he knew she was right. He ran towards Jason and Piper, who were now facing off against Gaia.

"What's the plan?" he whispered into Piper's ear.

"We got to get her off the ground so Leo can do his thing," Piper murmured back. They both turned towards Gaia as she began to speak.

"Foolish demigods. Whatever game you're playing, it won't work," Gaia announced, "You can't defeat me."

"Oh, I know," Percy retorted, "But he can." He pointed behind Gaia and like an idiot, she turned around.

"Now Jason!" Percy yelled hoping that Jason understood.

Percy lifted the water from the river and chucked it at Gaia's back, while Jason did the same with the air. Gaia went flying upwards as Jason followed her, carrying Piper along with him.

"Wow, thanks buddy," Percy muttered sarcastically. Watching their battle intently. He glanced to the right to see Fetus on a collision course with Gaia. When he looked to the left, he saw a massive golden fireball also heading towards Gaia.

Time seemed to stop as Jason and Piper dropped while both Festus and the fireball hit Gaia.

"Leo..." Percy whispered, devastated and then that sadness shifted to rage. He turned to the now leaderless monsters and charged, ready to kick some monster ass.

"Annabeth!" Percy desperately shouted. It had been almost an hour since the monsters had been routed, but he still hadn't been able to find her.

"Percy," Will said quietly from behind him. Percy whirled around,

"Did you find her?" he asked urgently. Will shook his head sadly, "We found her but..."

"No," Percy whispered, collapsing to his knees.

"Do you want to see her... you know,"

"Yes," Percy whispered, his voice catching in his throat.

"I want to say goodbye,"

He slumped over his desk and sighed, "What am I going to do without you Wise Girl,"

"That is what I'm here about," an unfamiliar voice said from behind him. Percy jumped out of his seat and pulled Riptide from his pocket.

There was no one there.

"None of that now" A woman stepped out of the shadows.

"Who are you?" Percy asked cautiously.

"Hecate, goddess of magic," she stated simply.

Percy sighed and capped Riptide. "What do you want?" he asked bluntly, collapsing back into his chair.

Hecate raised an eyebrow, "How do you know I want something from you? Maybe I just want to help."

Percy raised an eyebrow right back, "Ok then, tell me why you're here,"

Hecate had the decency to look at least a little ashamed, "I'm here to make you an offer." Before Percy could say anything, she raised a finger.

"However, I am not the only one making you this offer,"

This was news to Percy. Whenever gods are working together, you know something is up.

"Do I have your attention?" she asked, smiling smugly.

"Ugh, fine, what's the offer?" Percy asked, his interest piqued.

"Excellent!" and before Percy could protest, she reached forward and grabbed his arm, teleporting them somewhere else.

"Hey!" Percy said, falling onto his gluteus maximus before quickly popping up. "What was that-"

He looked up to see 6 massive people on thrones inside of what seemed to be an alternate Olympus. He recognized Hades, Persephone, Hecate, and Melinoe, as well as two other dudes. The last two he didn't recognize although, the one who was snoring seemed kind of familiar.

"Uh, Hi," Percy said hesitantly.

"One of the guys Percy didn't recognize snorted, "Yup, I like this guy."

He gave Percy a thumbs up and said, "Sup, I'm Angelos." He then hooked his thumb in the direction of the sleeping one, "That's Hypnos."

That's where Percy knew him from! He looked like the Hypnos cabin kids (which makes sense because he's their dad).

Hades cleared his throat. "We have brought you before the Chthonic Council for a reason," he said. "We want to ask you to be Champion of the Rift,"

Silence.

"Perhaps you could elaborate on that point?" Hecate asked.

More silence.

"Fine, since Hades has declined to elaborate, I shall do it for him," Hecate said, rolling her eyes at Hades' stubbornness.

"I'll start from the beginning. This council was formed by Hades and myself because we were not allowed onto the Olympian council. One of the duties that we took upon ourselves was the maintenance of the Rift, the mystical boundary that separates dimensions. Lately, however, the Rift has begun to crack. If the Rift were to break, it would result in a collision of worlds that would kill more than you are capable of comprehending. The issue is that outside of our own dimension, we gods are disabled to the point where we are in fact weaker than a mortal."

Here Hecate paused, "This is where you come in. Once a millennium, we the council are allowed to elect a Champion to stabilize the worlds and ensure we all don't die agonizing deaths."

Percy cocked his head, "So... basically what your saying is that if I don't agree to be the Champion, we're all going to die."

"We would all be sent to the Void," Hecate corrected, "The various underworlds would be destroyed as well."

At this point, Percy was ready to get on board with the whole Saving the world for the 3rd time gods be damed time train, but something was bothering him.

"If you guys made the Rift, why is there restrictions on the gods?"

Hecate coughed, "We didn't actually make it. As I said, we maintain the Rift. We didn't build it."

"Well, then who did?" Percy asked, kind of perplexed.

"Ah, that would be meeeee," A oddly excited voice came from the entrance of the room.

And cut.

That marks the end of the first chapter of my first story ever! Sorry that this chapter is a lot of set up and I haven't actually gotten into the story.

Edit: My inability to post something that is remotely professional is very irritating. I've had to redo this chapter 3 times now.
