Reunion in purgatory

Holtz had wanted to die for over 200 years, now he'd finally gotten his wish. He fully accepted that he'd probably burn in hell, but it would be worth it. Angel would finally suffer like he deserved, and in hell Holtz would at least be reunited with his daughter Sarah, whom Angelus and Darla had damned by turning her. He was somewhat suprised that the first person he saw was Darla, he'd hoped to avoid her here.

Holtz: I'm not suprised you're in hell, although there is less fire here than I would've thought.

Darla: Is that where we are, good a word as any. There's no fire and brimstone. We just get to watch as the ones we love suffer because of our actions. I saw how Conner sufferred, and now, you get to watch that too.

Holtz: That wasn't my goal. I taught him to survive.

Darla: And pass on your legacy of hate. It will get to you, believe me I know.

Holtz: Where is my daughter, Sarah?

Darla: I've not seen her in this place. Maybe she got to heaven.

Holtz: Impossible. She was amongst the damned, because of you.

Darla: According to whom? You're religious fanatic friends? Actually, you're the first person I've seen since I got here. I doubt this is heaven, maybe hell or purgatory. More likely hell because we're stuck together. And all we get to do is talk and watch as Conner suffers because of our actions. We'd better hope this is just purgatory, that way at least one of us can leave eventually. Otherwise we're stuck together like this forever.
