Man-eating spiders and homework problems

Summary: There's a spider in the Gryffindor common room. Trying to eat Ron alive and Hermione is just trying to do her homework, Neville trying to kill it, Harry caught in a sticky situation and Professor McGonagall is not amused. (Drabble.)


Harry was having a lovely nap.

He knows he was meant to do his homework, but the nap was a nice idea. Key word, was because Harry soon found himself waking up to Ron screaming bloody murder.

He yawns a few times and puts his glasses on only to stand to watch as Ron comes running down the stairs into the study room.

Before he could ask what, he running from he sees a spider.

A spider that was big as a trunk. It still wasn't too big, but since Ron didn't like spiders that spider was far too big to deal with. At least that explained the screaming.

"Hermione."

Hermione was busy though she had more things to worry about then Ron making a fuss over a spider.

"Why would someone place a spell on a spider?"

Ron let out a scream because there's web attached to his foot and the spider is slowly dragging the red head towards his large fangs.

"Not now Harry."

"I mean, it's going to take up an awful lot of room."

"Harry, do something," Ron yelled in fear.

Ron nails we're leaving some awful dint in the carpet.

"I don't see the problem, Ron. It's just a spider."

He was used to spiders there was always a few in the cupboard under the stairs.

"Mate, there's a bloody spider trying to eat me."

"Then cast a spell to stop it," Harry suggested.

"That's how it got big in the first place."

Harry blinked seven times before Neville came in with a shoe, wracking the spider on the side. It didn't work like the Longbottom thought it would.

The spider shot web at Neville, but Neville moved out of the way and the spider web took a chair instead.

"Hermione, there really is a spider as big as trunk currently in Gryffindor tower."

Hermione wasn't listening far to focus on her homework.

With a sign he brought out his wand only to find web attached to it and now Harry found himself covered in web. With Neville running away from that said spider who also wanted to trap Neville in web.

"Hermione," Ron said slowly getting closer and closer to the spider.

Neville soon ended up being caught to web sticking on the wall.

Hermione decided that there was far too much nose going on pack up her books and casting a stunning spell. The spider was stun and of Hermione goes in hopes to find a better studying room.

By the time Professor McGonagall enter the room. She finds Neville sticking on the wall. Harry covered in web and Ron desperately trying to break the said web with his hands.

"Why is it Harry that it's always you?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Believe me Professor. It wasn't me for a change. I just got caught up in a sticky situation," Harry said.

Needless to say, Professor McGonagall was not amused with Harry awful pun.
