Maggie knew she needed to get her head on straight. With her job, she couldn't afford for her mind to wander from cases, and today was proof of that. She knew she wouldn't still be standing here if OA hadn't walked into the room when he did, and for the… well, she couldn't count how many times she'd thanked God that Omar Zidan was her partner.
Maggie was currently overlooking the water, while the rest of the team finished with the Frasier's vacation house. From this point on, she needed to put the worries about her sister aside… but that was going to be difficult. All she could think about was Erin relapsing after moving to New York. She was able to get clean before, but Maggie was scared of her going to the point of no return.
Maybe Maggie was jumping to conclusions, maybe her fear was overpowering her logic, but she trusted her instinct. That was something she learned to do a long time ago, her instinct was always spot on… and right now, it was telling her that something bad was going on with Erin.
Suddenly, OA was standing in front of her, and she was thanking him for saving her life. She couldn't help the warm feeling that spread through her chest when OA gave her that reassuring smile of his that he uses to say 'I've got you.'
"I'm sorry. I was distracted, and it won't happen again."
"Maggie, what's going on?"
"Erin… I'm just really worried about her now that she's moved to New York."
"It's not really my place, but you need to give your sister some space. She's young, and this is all new to her."
"Erin is naïve, and I'm concerned that she'll do something stupid." Maggie knew that OA would be right in any other circumstance, but he didn't know the whole situation here. She came so close to telling him about Erin right then. She knew he would understand, after all, he went through the same thing with one of his Army buddies several years ago. She trusted him, and maybe he could give advice, but telling him about it would stir up more feelings, and she really needed those out of her head until the end of the case. Vowing to talk to OA after Richard was found, she took a deep breath and headed back to the house.

Maggie was both surprised and worried when Erin texted saying she was at FBI headquarters. Judging by her previous texts, she was pissed at Maggie for so called 'blowing up her phone.'
Excusing herself from OA and the JOC, Maggie went to meet with Erin, who was being escorted up by another agent. The first thing she noticed were her glassy eyes, and it caused a pit to form in her stomach. "I'm surprised you came here. I just asked you to call me back."
"Maggie, you need to chill out! You're all over my phone."
"I'm just concerned, Erin. Why have you been skipping classes?"
Erin looked like she'd been slapped in the face. "Wait, how di.. Are you tracking me?!"
"It's not a wire-tap, relax. It's just a family-to-family app."
"You're the one who told me I needed to make friends, so that's what I did. Me and a couple of them met for breakfast." She pulled out her phone and showed a picture of a breakfast dish.
Maggie fought the urge to roll her eyes at her sister's snarky tone. "Look, I'm sure you can see why I would be concerned. The last time you started skipping classes, you…"
"I know, I was using. You can't go crazy all the time and think I'm getting wasted just because I'm skipping class, Maggie. I'm clean."
"You're eyes look glassy to me."
Erin hesitated. "Because I was up super late, studying."
It was a lame-ass excuse, and Maggie gave Erin an incredulous look. "I'm just trying to care for you."
"I know, and I love you for it, but you seriously need to give it a break."
Before anything else could be said, Scola was knocking on the door, saying something was going on. Erin grabbed her bag and, after a quick and tense goodbye, left the room.
Maggie sighed, knowing the rest of the conversation would have to wait until the end of this case.

Making her way to her sister's dorm, Maggie's anticipation began to grow with the thought of what she might find… and it wasn't the good kind of anticipation. It was almost like the feeling she got before a raid. Not knowing what she was stepping into, but preparing herself for the worst… only she knew how to deal with that. She was a pro at making arrests and walking into dangerous situations, but this was personal… and when personal feelings came into play, none of her training could possibly serve as any good.
Maggie had gotten to talk to OA about this on the car ride back from Richard Frasier's arrest. Obviously, he was concerned after hearing what Maggie said in the interrogation room, so he had asked about it. She was glad it was him bringing the topic up first, because she had no idea where to begin.
"Mags, I'm sorry about Erin. I had no idea."
Maggie nodded her thanks, but kept her eyes on the road.
"Do you really think she relapsed?"
"I do… and I'm terrified of it." Her voice briefly faltered.
"What are you going to do?" He spoke softly, and Maggie knew it was because he didn't want it to seem like he was pushing.
"I've got to get her some help. I'll call a rehab center, then confront her this evening. I know she's going to be pissed. I mean, she already is, but this is for her own good. I just want her to be okay."
Maggie's right arm was resting on the center console, and OA reached over to quickly squeeze her hand. "She will be, with you looking after her."
Maggie looked over and softly smiled, appreciating his support. She knew what she had to do after filing her report, and she was nervous as hell as to how it would go down.
Maggie finally reached Erin's dorm, and took a deep breath before knocking on the door. It only took a few seconds for it to open, and Maggie offered a thin smile when Erin greeted her and ushered her in.
"You can't gripe about the mess, since you surprised me."
"Right."
"I've got to finish a paper for class, or I would take you for coffee."
"Erin… I'm not here for that." She was sure her expression gave something away because her sister's face fell. "Where is it, Erin?"
"Where is what?"
Maggie could tell from her body language that Erin knw exactly what she was talking about. "Whatever your using."
"How many times do I have to tell you I'm clean?"
Maggie gave a pointed look. "You don't think I've been lied to by drug addicts before?" She went over to her sister's bag and began to search it.
"Maggie, stop! What are you doing?!"
Not finding anything in the bag, Maggie started searching through the desk and different drawers. "Look, I'm not going anywhere, so either you're going to tell me where it is, or you're going to watch me find it!"
"Why are you being such a bitch?!"
The agent looked around the room before seeing a pile of clothes. Picking up the first pair of pants, she knew she had found the right spot when Erin tried taking them away from her. "Let go, Erin." Reaching in one of the pockets, Maggie felt tears spring to her eyes when she found a small packet of pills.
"It's Aspirin. Someone from down the hall gave them to me when I had a headache."
Maggie knew what Aspirin looked like, and it wasn't this. She simply looked at Erin, not trusting herself to speak.
Erin turned away for a second, and she sounded so broken when she finally answered. "I really messed up."
Trying not to let the tears fall, Maggie sat down beside of Erin on the bed.
"I didn't think it was going to be this hard."
Maggie wrapped her arms around her. "It's okay. We're going to get you some help." Her fears had come to life, but she was determined to get her sister back on track. They had dealt with before, hopefully now they could deal with it permanently. "Listen, I made a call to a really good clinic in Stamford. I can get you in as soon as tonight. I'll take you, if you're ready."
Erin nodded, and Maggie wrapped her in another embrace. "I'm right here, okay? I'll be here through all of it." Both of them crying, they simply held each other tighter. Maggie knew this would be a very difficult road, but she would do whatever it took for Erin to get clean again.
