So, just like with all my other stories, got to give fair warning before this one. This was a random idea that I'm hoping keeps my interest longer than the failed Arc of the Ultimates did. Honestly, that idea just wasn't what I wanted from the very first paragraph.
This one on the other hand, I'm hoping to be nothing but stupid fun. The premise won't make much sense and a lot of things probably won't be explained very well, especially for the beginning of the story, but I hope it's just dumb enough to be good.
This is of course an OP!Jaune story, featuring what may as well be a Naruto cross-over. As well, I ONLY write polyamorous type relationships, and that includes M/F, F/F, M/M. As such, you can call this a harem, consisting of:
Team RWBY
Team JNPR, including MALE Ren.
Penny
Neo
Sun
Velvet
And more TBA as the story goes. If you don't want to read yuri, yaoi, and everything in between, this story may not be for you.
Lastly, just like my All Mighty Maelstrom story, I'm not taking this one too seriously. Speaking of which, the relationships of the Naruto characters in this story are mostly derived from AMM, which means there may be some loose spoilers for who ends up with who in that story as well.
Other than that, if you're still here, try to enjoy the ride!
Chapter 1: Uzumaki Arc, Part 1
"He's just not cut out for it Joan."
A short pause followed the claim as two people sat upon their veranda on the third floor of their home. Looking out over the expanse of land that bled into a dense forest around their fairly large property, Hector and Joan Arc, the current patriarch and matriarch of the Arc house, discussed their one and only son.
"Jaune...may just be a late bloomer…" Joan argued weakly, her voice betraying the fact that even she didn't believe her own words.
Hector sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "His younger sisters are showing more progress than he has in years, Joan. If he hasn't progressed by now, I'm afraid he never will. He's excellent at domestic work. Hell, he's a prodigy in the forge for sure…"
"But he doesn't want to work the forge, dear. He wants to be a huntsman." Joan placed a hand on her husbands hand, the sadness of her words not lost on him.
Hector patted his wife's hand and looked her in the eyes. Though she was the head of the household, him having married into the Arc family, she still looked to him every now and then for answers that she just couldn't find. However, Jaune was a volatile subject for them both. They didn't want to crush his dreams of being a huntsman, as thankless of a job it was, but they also didn't want to give him false hope.
Jaune was in a sorry state. He had began his training at 8 years old, a little earlier than Hector or Joan would have liked, but the boy was so eager and spirited that they couldn't say no to him. He had shown great footwork whenever he danced with his sisters, and decent strength and stamina when he would play with them and lift them about. His yard work was second to none and he had taken to the forge with his father like a fish to water.
However, that's where Jaune's positives ended.
When it came to combat, Jaune couldn't even hold his sword properly, let alone swing it. His footwork from dancing seemed to vanish all together as he became a clutz that would sooner behead himself than the enemy. Hector had never seen another person as bad as Jaune when it came to training. At first, he thought it was simply too early for him.
He and Joan agreed to wait a little longer for Jaune to grow before training him seriously. When he turned 10 years old, they began again in earnest, promising Jaune that if he showed progress they would unlock his aura.
Unfortunately, Jaune showed almost no progress from when he was 8 years old. If anything, he seemed to get worse. By then, his 9 year old sister, Jean had started to show more talent than him. It proved to kill Jaune's spirit as well. Though none of his sisters looked down on Jaune, it was clear that they all knew he wasn't cut out to be a huntsman either.
Almost 3 years later, the truth had settled in to everyone except Jaune and his parents.
Joan herself had been a huntress of favorable repute. Nowhere near as famous as the likes of Qrow Branwen or the infamous Team STRQ, but well enough that bandits knew to cower at her name. The Arc Legacy produced warriors, and that's what she had taught her children. However, the thought that Jaune would kill himself attempting to live up to the Arc name terrified her more than anything. For the first time in her life, she regretted being an Arc.
"He turns 13 years old tomorrow. He'll be old enough to enter a huntsman training academy. He thinks that's the present we're going to give him…" The Arc Matriarch sighed sadly. "It'll break his heart."
"I know." Hector conceded. Both of them sounded defeated. There wasn't anything they could think of to help their situation. They had strung Jaune along for too long, hoping that something would click for the boy in his training. "We should've told him already. That we can't in good conscience send him off to an academy as he is. Maybe it'll lessen the blow if tell him he can have full access to the forge…"
Joan scoffed, shaking her head. She knew as well as Hector that it would do nothing but patronize the boy. But they were out of options. Jaune would probably hate them for a while, but they would rather their son hate them than be in danger.
"I hate that it has to be this way. It'll ruin his birthday…"
Hector stood from the deck chair and looked out over the Arc estate. The moonlight bathed the land in an ethereal glow that reminded him of the peace that Huntsman fought for. Knowing that Jaune loved to sit under the moonlight, Hector knew it wouldn't just ruin the young teens birthday. It would shatter his life. But it was a wound that could hopefully heal.
"It's something he'll have to live with. And him living is more important than anything else."
Unbeknownst to the two, sitting on a ledge of the estate that sat just beneath the veranda balcony was the boy in question. The sole male child of the Arc family pulled his knees to his chest as tears streamed down his cheeks. He had heard every single word they said.
Though he knew eavesdropping was wrong, one of his older sisters had egged him into trying to find out what his parents were going to get him for his birthday. Almost certain they would be sending him to a huntsman academy, Jaune had wanted to just hear which one. But the bombshell that was dropped on him that night shattered his heart.
He wiped the tears that refused to stop falling, doing his best to not make a sound. His mind was racing with thoughts of how to convince them. However, another part of him was smart enough to realize they weren't wrong.
He had made no progress in his training. He wasn't even able to hold his own against his younger sister, let alone his father and mother when they trained. Even after all the years, and the training he had tried doing on his own when no one was around. Nothing seemed to help. The teen didn't understand why he was so powerless. He was capable in most other physical things, but when it came to fighting or using a weapon, it was like he was a new born.
After another hour of sitting quietly beneath his parents, Jaune finally heard them retire to their chambers. Without hesitation, he dropped the two stories down to the ground without a sound and made a mad dash in a random direction, deep within the forest.
Jaune kept running, heedless of where he was going. Cuts and scratches began to form from the thick brush he pushed aside, but he didn't slow. He didn't care where he was going or that his legs were already burning from exhaustion. He only stopped when he pushed his way into a clearing and tripped over a log. The young boys body rolled several times before being stopped by a large stone that seemed shattered and covered in moss.
With his energy spent, he curled into a ball and began to weep.
His future was gone. His pride shattered.
He was supposed to be a hero.
He was supposed to be a huntsman.
He was supposed to be something.
Within moments, he found himself drifting into the cold darkness of sleep.
"Uh…is it me, or does he look a lot bigger than 8 years old?" A male voice echoed in the darkness around him.
"Maybe he's an early bloomer?" Another male voice inquired, followed by the sounds of something being devoured expeditiously.
"Don't be stupid. It's clear what happened here…" A female voice spoke up with a hint of annoyance.
A sigh is heard as another female voice pipes in. "You waited too long, baka! Several years too long by the looks of it!"
He began to groan as the voices grew louder.
"Hey, he's waking up!" An excited voice chirped up.
"Get in to positions everyone!" The first voice called.
"Ugh, do we have to? This is so troublesome…" A new male voice groaned.
"Even in death, you're still a lazy bum."
Jaune could almost taste the shrug he knew came from the lazy man. With a grunt, he began to sit up, rubbing his eyes and wondering what type of dream was he having.
"Welcome, Jaune." The first voice called out again.
When Jaune's eyes began to adjust to the light around him, he took in the sight of a bright clearing flooded with many people he had never seen before. For a moment, he almost wondered where he was. However, he felt the stone to his back and remembered running off into the forest. Suddenly thinking it was no longer a dream, Jaune almost started to panic.
Before he could scream out though, he saw that the stone he sat against was no longer shattered or covered in moss. It was in perfect condition, like it had been restored. Or maybe not damaged at all. Observing his surroundings more, he saw the log he had tripped over in perfect condition and standing tall, nestled between two similar logs that were clearly sculpted by men. They seemed like training post.
Finally giving his attention back to the people flooding the clearing, he began to take them each in. The first person whom had spoken was a fairly tall man with blonde hair and blue eyes, just like an Arc. Though his hair was a shade brighter than most and he had whisker marks on his face. Next to him stood a beautiful woman with dark, almost black hair. Her silvery white eyes showed a warmth he thought only his mother could give.
On the other side of the blonde man were equally beautiful women of pink and blonde hair. They both seemed a bit annoyed but, otherwise gave him a warm and welcoming smile as well.
Scattered about in various place, from sitting in the grass to standing within the trees, were an assortment of people of all shapes and sizes. He took note of the portly man stuffing chips into his face, standing next to a dark skinned woman with red hair. Then the person whom he instantly recognized as the 'lazy bum' stood slouched against a tree with a sandy blonde woman next to him looking annoyed at the man.
"Weird dream…" He mumbled as he minutely glanced at the rest of the people in the clearing. There were too many to really count. A weird fishman with a bunch of people wearing black cloaks with red clouds on them, a pale looking man that oddly reminded him of snakes.
Two men wearing green spandex sparring with each other, mostly out of boredom. A red haired girl with glasses gazing longingly at the blonde guy, as well as stealing glances at a dark haired man he just noticed standing behind the pink haired woman.
"This is no dream...well, not really." The blonde man spoke up again. "Actually, maybe this could be called a dream, but it's not-" Before he could continue, the pink haired woman and blonde haired woman standing next to the man simultaneously punched his head into the ground.
"You're just confusing him!" They shouted at the same time.
Once more rubbing his eyes, Jaune once again pondered if he were really dreaming. "What's...going on here? Who are you people?"
The pink haired woman took a step forward and smiled at Jaune before kneeling down to get eye level with him. "It'll take too long to introduce everyone here, but you'll get to know us all in due time. As for me, my name is Sakura Haruno-Uchiha, and that's my husband, Sasuke Uchiha." Sakura spoke as she motioned towards the dark haired man that had been standing behind her.
"Hmph…" Sasuke called before glancing away uncaringly. Sakura giggled.
"Don't worry about him. He'll grow on you in time."
"Once an emo…" The blonde haired woman spoke next, approaching the two. "Hey, Jaune! My name is Ino Yamanaka-Uzumaki. One of the beautiful wives to that dumbass over there." She pointed to the downed form of the blonde man whom was being tended to by the dark haired woman with silver eyes from before. "Hinata-hime, come say hello!"
The woman looked up for a moment, instantly giving Jaune heart melting smile. "Hello there Jaune-kun! I'm Hinata Hyuga-Uzumaki. It's a pleasure to finally meet you!"
Before Jaune could respond, besides the fact that his heart skipped a beat at the woman's smile, the blonde man finally pulled his head from the ground.
"Mou, Ino-chan, Sakura-chan, why are you still so violent even in the afterlife?"
At his words, Jaune's eyes widened.
"That afterlife? This is the afterlife? Am I dead? OH MY OUM I'M DEAD!"
The teen stood and began to run in circles, screaming about being eaten by a grimm or hitting his head on a rock. The mass of people sweatdropped at his antics and most looked at the blonde man.
"He's definitely got your idiocy…" Sakura called. The blonde sent a half hearted glare at the girl.
"Ano, maybe we should explain things a bit better…" Hinata suggested.
"Shikamaru." Ino called.
"Shikamaru." Sasuke agreed.
"Shikamaru." The portly one that was eating chips added.
The man in question gazed over with a dumbfounded look. "The hell?"
Everyone else in the clearing looked to the pineapple haired man. "Shikamaru." They all chorused.
"Oh screw you guys!" He called, as even the sandy blonde that was clearly his significant other pushed him towards Jaune...who was now in the fetal position sucking on his thumb.
"Wait." The blonde from before called as he stood up. His tone made all others around him quiet. It was clear he held an authority that the people around him respected. As he stood, most everyone kneeled.
Jaune looked up and could feel the aura of the man before him.
"Since this is my job, I'll be the one to tell him. Everyone else just prepare. This may take a while."
"Hai, Kage-sama!" Everyone in the clearing chorused before most vanished. The only one's left were the blonde man, the Ino woman, and the Hinata woman.
"You two should get ready too." He called to his two partners. Ino shook her head.
"This is as much our job as it is yours. You're not the best at explaining the multiple partners part." She said with a devious smirk. Hinata giggled but nodded her agreement. The man had no choice but to sigh and chuckle.
"Guess you're right."
Turning his attention back to Jaune, he saw the boy sitting with his back to the stone once more. A familiar stone. He only gazed at the first two names on the stone before giving Jaune his full attention once more. 'Mom, Dad. Wish you were here.'
The blonde man offered Jaune a hand and lifted him to his feet. Without letting go, he let an aura of power flare around them both.
"Hello Jaune Arc. My name is Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze. And I'm you from another reality."
With a blink, Jaune responded the only way he knew how…
Fainting on the spot.
Super short chapter just to have something up. If I want to consistently post on this, the chapters will have to remain this short unfortunately. (Seriously, I typed this on my lunch break just now.)
Anyway, let me know what you think, and if you want to discuss things...I'll try to reply to all questions through pm if I get the chance!
Til Next Time Loves!
