It seemed to be just an average day in the palace, however Paul Atreides knew that something exciting was going to occur on this very day. He just didn't know what it was yet. All the Emperor knew was that it would involve a little girl and a spirit in the form of an animal. Together, they would change the whole multiverse. Before Paul could continue to dwell on the matter, he heard his true wife Chani call out to him "Paul? Muad' Dib? What's the matter?"

Paul turned to his true wife and said "I sense someone coming from another world, it's almost like a cut through the universe. In my dreams I saw a little girl with dark brown hair and eyes. She had a shape shifting animal spirit by her side."

Chani looked at her one true love with disbelief as she asked "Muad' Dib? Are you feeling alright? Do you have a fever?"

Paul gave Chani an annoyed look as he replied "I'm not sick. I saw it in my dreams."

"What are you going to do about it?" Chani questioned.

"I'm going to find her. That little girl is lost in our world and needs our help. Besides, if I'm right then, she has a huge destiny before her and one that will affect all worlds, including this one." Paul explained as he summoned his guards.

Chani looked at her husband in name as she said "Good luck and I'm coming with you."

Paul was caught off guard for a moment and that wasn't an easy thing to do. Then, he suddenly burst out laughing as he said "I should've known that you would never wait at home while I was in danger."

"Irunin can watch the palace while we go out and investigate with some guards." Paul decided.

Sometime later, Paul, Chani and several guards were looking for the mysterious child.

"Do you think something happened to her family, Muad' Dib?" Chani inquired.

"I don't know, but I can assume that something did happen to them because why would a young girl travel by herself?" Paul mused thoughtfully, as his mind began to wander back towards the memories of his childhood.

Father, I miss you. Paul thought to himself, before a feeling of surprise overtook him. Why am I being nostalgic all of a sudden? He added.

However before he could continue to be puzzled, he heard one of his soldiers say "Your majesty, we found a small child wandering around without her parents."

She kept fighting him as she yelled over and over again "Let me go!"

Paul and Chani turned to see one of his guards approaching them as he carried a girl who appeared to be around twelve with dark brown hair and eyes.

At once, Paul knew that this was the child that he saw in his dreams.

He and his wife knelt down to her level as he said "Don't be afraid, my wife and I only want to help you, I'm Paul, but I also go by Maud' Dib. What's your name?"

The girl looked at him and his wife with uneasiness and distrust, before she replied "I'm Lyra Silvertonge, where are your daemons?"

"Daemons?" Paul questioned in confusion before he added "There no daemons here, we have yet to encounter any since I became Emperor of this galaxy."

"Galaxy?" Lyra muttered in shock before she added "I'm not on Earth anymore?"

"In our world, Earth has been abandoned for thousands of years." Paul explained.

A look of horror and shock appeared on Lyra's face as she asked "What happened to Earth?"

"Come with us, and we'll tell you all about it." Paul replied.

"And you can tell us all about your world." Chani added as she offered Lyra her hand.

With that, Lyra slipped her hand into hers and went off with the royal couple, wondering if she could trust them and finding herself curious about the world that she landed in.

I only read the first Dune book, so if I get anything wrong or anyone acts OoC, please let me know.
