April 27th, Site 19

Cold darkness roamed the halls of this place. It sucked the life out of everything and everyone it saw. But this cold darkness had a name. It's name was Dr. Buck. Dr. Buck was deceiving in appearance, a young, attractive, blonde woman, who would attract the glances of many young men. Yet, once you got to know her, or TRIED to get to know her, you would see that she is a hard, cold-hearted woman, and any person should do their best to stay away. This was the case for the Site 19 staff of course, and Dr. Buck became almost as scary as the SCPs housed in that facility. She had found a soft spot though. For a man named Special Agent Green. Green was a very likeable man, despite having his own air of tiredness around him, and possessed a sharp sense of sarcasm, making light, annoying remarks at his coworkers. Somehow, his personality had managed to chip away at the ice queen herself. But Dr. Buck had no time for these thoughts now. There was work to be done.

As she walked down the halls, she passed many containment cells, and was able to name every one of them. "SCP-096, SCP-173,..." she counted, it was her way of passing time in the halls. Mostly because she had no one else to talk to. Soon, she reached the containment cell of SCP-1678, also known as "UnLondon". Today was a pivotal day for her career. Several D-Class personnel, along with some armed foundation guards, were to be sent into the heart of SCP-1678. The foundation had secured a small zone in UnLondon, in which they had built a teleportation device connected to a similar model in the room with her. UnLondon was located one kilometer below the regular city of London. Accessing it but burrowing down proved to be quite a chore, so the teleportation method was established. Today was the big day. She walked in and saw the Director along with several scientists watching from chairs behind a glass balcony. As she began to greet them, the Director (ever the eccentric British type), said to her, "Ah Amelia! It has been too long! I love the outfit! It's the same outfit you wear everyday, yet it just seems so stylish today!". Dr. Buck responded, "Good day to you too, Director Jones." Director Jones quickly remarked (in a teasing tone), "Ah, ah, ah. What have I told you before Doctor? Director makes me feel so old. Do I seem old to you Amelia?". Dr. Buck, embarrassed, quickly tried to say "I… no… I just…". "Don't lose your composure, Dr. Buck." said the Director, "I was just teasing." With that, Dr. Buck walked out of the observation balcony to her command & control panel, on the ground floor in front of the device, and began the setup process. Dr. Collingwood, Dr. Buck's enthusiastic work partner, rushed in late, and helped set up the device, lest she face the wrath of Dr. Buck. Once the final input was set in place, the facility automatic voice chimed "All systems nominal. TR-4075 is online." Dr. Buck then called on her radio, "Alright Lawrence. Bring them in." Lawrence, a security guard for the foundation, had survived several encounters with deadly SCPs in the past. These encounters left him disfigured, rendering him colorblind, pale, and extremely gaunt. It only made sense that someone with his luck would lead this expedition.

He, along with several other guards and D-Class personnel (mostly former convicts and the like) walked out into the room. Dr. Buck said to them, "Your mission is to assist our existing teams in SCP-1678 to take the natural history museum. You have authorization to terminate any instances of SCP-1678-A, B, C, or D. Is that clear?". "Yes ma'am!". The test subjects chimed. Dr. Buck then turned to Agent Green (who was behind the command & control panel) and said to the test subjects, "This is Agent Green. He will update you on any changes of plan, and he is who you can contact if you need help. With that, let us begin." The team stepped onto the pad, with Dr. Buck counting down until their entry. Upon the "Go" command the entered. The rift they accessed began to contort and warp, which was normal. However, Dr. Buck noticed that the console said "ERROR".
