Hey guys. This is my first fanfiction so I hope the writing isn't too crap. I have debated for a while now about writing and uploading a piece of writing to this site, but always found myself swamped by work to bother. Now I finally have some time and I thought, what the hell? This is an idea I've had in my head for ages but have been too scared to write about. Hopefully people enjoy it haha. If formatting or anything is wrong, tell me as I am fairly new to the writing process and am going off of guides on the interwebs and other fanfiction.Enjoy!

Prologue
Unknown PoV:
Pain.
That was all he felt.
Suffering.
That's all he's known.
Hope.
A feeling never remotely experienced by him.
He ran. Ran for his life, knowing that should that thing catch him, he'd end up like his recently deceased father.
Trees swarmed his vision, attacking him as he ran through them, not caring for the newly rendered cuts on his fragile body.
Suddenly a force took hold of his already bloodied t-shirt, tearing at it. Turning around, he forced himself to look upon what had caught him. A scream escaped from his throat, a look of terror upon his face as he looked at it... a branch.
A wave of relief hit him as he realised it was only a branch upon which his t-shirt was caught, not something else. This relief was short-lived however, as a far-away roar pushed back on the face of terror onto the boy as he unhooked his top from the branch, continuing to run in a direction he hoped was safe. But by now he knew that hope was a non-existent part of his life, as great drums of feet drew near.
A growl was heard by the him but he did not dare stop running for fear of that large, hellish dog to catch him.
Red eyes pierced the night as a large, black hound emerged from a clump of trees, gaining speed on him.
He slowly felt himself losing stamina and energy, but continued to power on, fueled only by the notion of what grisly fate beheld him should that thing catch him.
A clearing loomed up ahead as he ran for it, hearing the snarls coming closer and closer.
He emerged, but was suddenly on the ground with a large thump.
A small pain developed in his lower body from the heavy fall. His eyes were shut from the impact, an instinct that momentarily blinded him before he forced them open.
He looked up, and his eyes widened.
So yeah. Hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter, even if it was short. I'll probably upload a second one sometime soon which should hopefully explain what I'm rambling on about, as well as be slightly longer. Reviews are greatly appreciated, especially ones with constructive feedback on how I can improve.
See you guys in a bit.
