So I follow up on my previous SVTFOE one shot. Before I begin I will inform you that there will be a few canon episodes that will be reworked until I get to the more original content. Also, although this is rated M there will be no abundance of adult content. So if lemons are what you are after, this is NOT the place. I am more of someone who makes fluff/drama adventure fics. I may walk the line but I won't cross it unless the STORY leads to it. And even then it won't be smut.

There is a moment in this chapter that does skim the border (I wonder myself how I got to that but meh) but I have a reason for it

Anyway enough early warning about this fic. Hope you enjoy the first chapter

Chapter 1: Where to begin

"Hello. my name is Marco Diaz…...uh...I mean, I uh well *sigh*…...I don't know anymore but….where do I start?"

"Start from the beginning, sweetie."

Marco was running through the campus in search of Janna since she was in possession of Star's magic spellbook. "Janna….Janna? Where are you…..Ah-ha!"

Janna was showing a group of other girls Star's book since she had borrowed it from the guy to whom Star lost a bet.

Marco ran over to them as the other girls chose to get away from the creepy-looking book. He moved to the front of the book "I need this." he knelt in front of the book and opened it to see if he could find what he was looking for

Jann leaned her back on top of Marco so they were back to back. "Hey, Marco? Whatcha looking for? Some kind of dark magic or maybe something to peek at the girl's locker room?"

Marco ran his hand down his face as he groaned "Janna. You know I'm not like that."

Janna laughed as she turned around so she was now leaning her head on his shoulder "so you say, but you never know what kind of secrets hide in your head." she poked Marco's head, tilting it

Marco shook his head rapidly as he tried to ignore Janna. "Not now, I gotta find something to help Star."

Janna just spun around again as she was leaning back to back with him as she looked into the sky "pfft. I'm sure little miss magic is fine. What could she need help with?"

Marco just groaned as he wondered why Janna was leaning on him so much at the moment. He turned the pages of the large book but was not having any luck finding what he was looking for. "Ugh, doesn't this thing have a glossary or something?"

"Did someone say 'Glossorik?!"

Suddenly the book began to turn the pages on its own until it came to what could be seen as the middle of the book and phasing out of the pages was a small blue-skinned ma with a large gem in his forehead in a meditative pose.

He floated in the air until he was at eye level with Marco. He opened his eyes and looked up to see the boy and his face turned into one of shocked happiness "Ah, Marco...is it that time already?"

Marco and Janna looked at the little man in awe but the male of the two was a little confused at what Glossarik said and asked "how do you know my name?"

Glossaryck spun around Marco's head as he chuckled. "Oh I just know things." he then stopped right in front of the boy.

Marco just tilted his head as he thought it was odd he would know anything about him but he shook his head as he had something more important to talk about. "Well if you know things then do you know how we can fix Star? She says she is suffering from Mewberty."

Glossaryck brought up a finger as he exclaimed "AH…..can't help you."

Marco went wide-eyed at the answer "what? But you said you could help!"

The blue imp rubbed his beard as he smirked "I said I know things." Glossaryck smirked as he spun in place before diving into the book, closing it as he phased into the pages.

Marco panicked as he tried to pry the book open again "hey! Come on! She needs help!"

The began to move as if it was a mouth with Glossaryck's voice. "Sorry, this book is for members of the royal family only."

Marco kept trying to pull it open "come on, I need your help with this, please! WAH!" the book suddenly flew open as Glossaryck popped out and rubbed his beard "well, I shouldn't really do this but I guess I can help out."

Marco got back to his feet as he brushed himself off "great so what can we do to help Star?"

Glossaryck took a thinking pose before he snapped his fingers "To help star in her time of need, wait and watch to proceed."

Marco tilted his head in confusion as this made no sense to him. "Wait what."

Glossaryck sat on the book as he smiled "all you need to do is wait. And by …...3:17….it will happen" he pressed a timer on a watch he had on his wrists as he said this

Marco would have smiled but this still confused him "what will happen?"

Glossaryck smiled knowingly "it."

Marco pulled at his hair as he ran off to go help Star in any way he could, leaving Janna with Glossaryck.

Janna looked at Glossaryck with a look of anticipation "so tell me, what dark secrets do you have to share?"

Glossaryck smiled as she asked this.

Marco ran back to where he left Star and saw that the whole area had now become dreary as if it was part of a horror movie. He walked further into the area next to the lockers. He looked down to the ground to see a bunch of purple hearts. He was about to bend down to check them but he suddenly felt his arm grabbed by something. He looked to what grabbed him to see a guy trapped by what looked like webbing

"Dude, you gotta get us out of here!" came out of his whispered plea

Another boy, a bit of a pudgy boy with glasses shook his head "no don't. You might anger her."

Marco was about to ignore that last one and start to pull the purple webbing until he heard screaming coming closer. He turned around to see Star, now with purple skin, hair twirled upward, eyes shaped like hearts, headband now had insect-like antennas, six arms, and bug-like wings. "Star?"

Star was carrying another boy as she flew towards another locker. She gestured one of her hands at the locker and shot out some web-like substance before using it to rip the locker door off. She threw the boy inside and began to coat the entrance of the locker with webbing to keep the boy inside.

Marco ran over to her and grabbed her arm "STAR! You gotta stop!"

Star stopped shooting her webbing before she looked at the hand that held her arm before looking at the boy's face. She then turned sharply and shot out webbing on Marcopinning him to the wall

Marco was struggling as he found himself unable to move as he was pinned to the lockers "St-Star! You gotta snap out of it!"

Star stopped shooting at Marco as her nose twitched. She looked around before her eyes landed on Marco again and grew closer to him. She sniffed him a couple of times as something about his scent was interesting to her. She used one of her hands to cup his left cheek and began to sniff his right cheek.

Marco was really weirded out by what Star was doing now. He tried to lean his head away from her but he couldn't move much and he felt her caress his face as she sniffed his neck.

"Boooooy"

Marco yelped as he felt something wet on his neck and blushed like all the blood from his body went to his head. "St-st-sta-star!"

Star pulled back for a sec as she tilted her head before she grew closer to him again and was caressing his face again on both sides as her other hands were examining what was still visible. She looked into his eyes as she said "Maaarcoooooo."

It was then that music from a keyboard was heard, catching their attention

Star looked at the one that was playing the music and saw Oscar on his car playing his keyboard

"Why don't you clean your room, mom~"

Star smiled at the sight "O~scar~." she flew over towards Oscar

Marco used this chance to rip himself free from the webbing before running after Star. he bent down as he ran past a ping pong net. He chose to ignore the reason why it would be there as he had more important matters. He was able to catch up with Star and tossed the net in her path and held the pegs as he tried his best to stop her. What he didn't count on was her taking him for a ride through the air as she flew around to get him to let go. "STAAAAAAAAARRRR~"

Star made loop de loops in the air as she was still inside the net. She then flew low to the ground as she moved faster. That was until she suddenly stopped as Marco dug his feet onto the garden ledge

Marco pulled back hard as he needed to stop her from doing any more damage to the school. Unfortunately, he was losing energy. His lungs burned, his legs hurt and his palms were stinging. He held strong though as he pulled but he heard cracking under him and looked down to see the ledge he was on, breaking. "Uh oh."

The ledge shattered due to the pressure sending Marco flying as he let go of the net. He rolled on the ground before righting himself and looking up to see Star flying towards Oscar, who wasn't even paying attention

Star webbed up his car before lifting it into the sky and into the dark clouds

Marco looked up in sadness as it felt like he had lost his newest friend that was making his life interesting. He sighed as he looked down in defeat "...goodbye Star."

Glossaryck had his mouth open as he was being spoon-fed pudding by Janna who was doing this to learn some sort of dark magic spell that might be fun. After he swallowed some more of the pudding his watch went off causing him to look at it before he bent his leg backward, over his shoulder, and recessed his toe on the button.

Marco continued to sit on his knees until a purple heart fell on his hand. He then looked up to see that thousands of them began to fall from the sky. He got to his feet as he wondered what this could mean. He then looked directly above him before he went wide-eyed at something falling right at him. He jumped to the side in time to avoid Osca's car falling on him with the boy still sitting on the hood of his car like nothing happened.

"Sup."

Marco sighed in relief as he avoided being crushed but he didn't have time to think about it as he heard something crash behind him. He turned to see that something had fallen into a large pile of hearts. He ran over to it and was relieved to see Star groggily getting up while rubbing her head. "Star!" he hugged the girl in relief

Star was a little surprised that Marco had hugged her. She didn't remember much about what had happened but she did know that she caused trouble. She smiled as she hugged him back.

*flutter*

Theo two jolted away from each other as they heard the flutter coming from Star's back

The girl moved her hair to show a tiny pair of wings on her back

Star squealed in excitement as she started bouncing on her feet. "look, Marco! I got my mewberty wings!"

Marco got to his feet as he looked at them in awe "does that mean you can fly?"

Star put her hair into a ponytail so that it would give her wings more room. "Let's find out." she grabbed Marco's hand before jumping forward into the air "AH~" she and Marco then flopped to the ground with Star grunting out "nope."

Marco groaned as he got up from the ground of Star's failed attempt at flying and brushed himself off "well, that's enough excitement for one day. So what say we head home?"

Star got up and nodded "all right. I need some Nachos."

Marco and Star began walking away with Marco making a comment

"oh, let's not forget your book before Janna finds something dangerous in it."

They continued to walk leaving behind the mess Star made

~Later~

Marco was in his bathroom shaking his jacket to get some of the remaining hearts from it. He saw a few of them fall to the ground before he picked them up and threw them in the trash. As he did this he saw a couple were attached to his arm and peeled them off. As he did this he found one that was a different shape. The last one that was on him wasn't a purple heart, instead, it was a burgundy crescent moon. "Huh, this is an odd one." he shrugged as he tossed it into the trash before putting on his jacket. He figured that star could have had more like those on her but he didn't notice them. It was a chaotic event.

"I guess that was when it all started. I just wish I knew what it would have caused later on. It might have made me more ready."

"I'm sorry sweetie. I'm just happy to see you again."

"...thanks…...mom."

End of chapter

Well, that's the first chapter. I am bugged that it is short but it IS the first chapter so what can you do.

Not much I have to say other than "review please" I like reviews but if you are going to put a flame, a complaint on how this doesn't change much from canon, or just call it trash, then please don't waste our time.

Sorry, I've had a bunch of those in my other fics and it does get to you.

There will be a general warning next chapter that I will be putting in my other fics so it isn't directly aimed at any of you readers :)

Anyway I've rambled enough
