Tobio sighed in relief when he saw Harukaze-san entered her home. He quirked a small smile when he saw her figure waving at him with a smile. And when she disappeared behind closed doors, Tobio turned on his heels to go home.
Best birthday…
He thought with a grin. Remembering and replaying everything that transpired today in his mind, he was unable to contain his giddiness any longer. He was feeling light and warm. And the fact that it just sank to him that he has feelings for her – that he likes her.
Ah.
He blushed. Because of that, he ran on his way home.
"Tobio?"
He heard his mother's voice from the kitchen when he closed the door. About to answer, he looked up and was surprised to see his older sister's head on the counter with an eyebrow raised. He couldn't stop himself from raising a brow as well at Nee-san's narrowed eyes.
"What?"
She grinned. "Had fun?"
He nodded.
"Watchu got?"
"Keychain." He answered, picking up the koala keychain and showed it to her.
Miwa-nee-san laughed. "You two are weird."
He blinked.
His father came draped in an apron. There was stubble on his chin and side of his face, a sign that his father was out of duty for the day and the days that will follow. The man whistled. "Got your first kiss?"
"O-Of course not…!" He blushed.
There was a clang and a groan of disappointment. "What a let-down." His mother whined.
