Oscar didn't know how he got here…the only thing he knows is that he died.
He died fighting on the sands of Vacuo, Salem had come and all of Shade Academy fought her and her army of Grimm but since she possess the Staff of Creation the battle was not an easy one. But by some miracle Ruby, the rest of her team, Jaune, and even Neapolitan came back and what they brought with them was the answer to beating Salem once and for all.
But while they brought the answer it wasn't an easy one, the answer they brought with them was a relic unlike any other, a relic capable of destroying Salem immortality. But the cost of using this power was his soul.
Why his soul you may ask, well because it was immortal.
The only way for the relic to work was that it needed to be powered by an immortal soul to beat another immortal soul.
Ren and Nora's protested to the idea of sacrificing himself, Ruby and the others didn't like it either but the fact that they propose the idea meant that they thought about this for a long time and it wasn't easy for them to come to this decision.
So when the time came to confront Salem, the team fought tooth and nail against her Grimm and the rest of her minions.
Ruby's uncle Qrow manage to kill the faunas Tyrian Callows with help the remaining members of the Ace-Ops along with Robyn Hill.
Mercury was taken down by Yang, she wanted pay back for what he did to her during the Vytal Festival.
And as for Cinder…well Weiss's sister Winter fought her and despite both of them seemingly being on equal grounds Winter prevailed, she was going to kill Cinder but was stop by Neapolitan, everyone thought she was going to rescue her but instead she dealt the finishing blow as revenge for betraying her, the criminal illusionist ended the power-hungry maiden once and for all.
And when the time came for Oscar to lay down his life he went down fighting. He fought Salem buying everyone time to prepare and when they were ready Salem used her power to try and end them but failed as he jumped in front of them and took the full brunt of the blow.
The attack was too much for him, he couldn't move a muscle and he could feel his body beginning to shut down.
While he slowly dying he could feel his soul being sucked into the relic, before his mind faded he could hear Salem scream as she met her demise.
They did it, they manage to end they it, they finally manage to beat Salem ending the thousands year war.
While he may never live his dream of exploring Remnant like he wanted at least he'll know that his friend would now have the chance to live theirs even if it meant that he won't be there to be part of it.
With the immortality of his soul gone Oscar thought that he would end up in the afterlife, but instead he found himself reborn as baby on a farm thus the start of his new life in a world that he would soon find out was not Remnant.
In all honesty this new life of his was…colorful.
Like pretty much everyone had color to them like their own skin, there are people with different shades of color as their skin color like alongside the natural skin there are people with blue skin, purple skin, grey, yellow etc.
Not only was the skin the strange thing about this world but also the names, back on Remnant everyone's names were color base but here…they seem to have their own version of that rule.
While some names sounded normal others weren't but Oscar learn to accept it.
Nothing major ever really happen in this new world except for the occasional natural disasters, crime, etc.
He spent a majority of it working on his family's farm like he did in his old life with the usual routine of doing chores of plowing the fields, cleaning the barn, planting seeds, and more and more of the usual farm work.
But despite the peace he was living in he felt like something was missing and that was his dream to see the-
"RING! RING! RING!"
Groaning Oscar slammed his hand on his alarm clock. Getting up he got ready for the first big day of his new life…High School.
(Canterlot High)
Canterlot High named after the city of Canterlot strange name for a city, is one of the most highly reputable high schools in the city.
And the first High School he's ever been too in his life.
How he ended up here was fairly simple, while Oscar was contempt with his life he wanted to see the world so as a first step to that his parents manage to get him a place in the city and enrolled him into one of the High Schools.
So that's how he ended up here in Canterlot City and at Canterlot High.
Right now he was walking through the halls on his way to his first class which was woodshop, working on the farm both here and on Remnant Oscar knew woodwork pretty well so woodshop would be a breeze for him.
(Wood Shop)
"Class today we have a new student." The Teacher Burnt Oak said to the class. "Now he's pretty new to Canterlot so try to make him feel welcome."
Burnt Oak gestured Oscar to come in and introduce himself.
Walking in Oscar was about to introduce himself to the class but something else caught his attention.
Sitting a few tables down was a girl his age, with a tied blonde hair that drops below her waist, green eyes, freckles like himself but shaped like apple seeds, brown boots with apples on it, a t-shirt with short green sleeves and an apple at the center, blue jean skirt. And the one thing that set her apart from everyone else was that she was the only one wearing a cowboy hat.
This was no ordinary girl, this was Applejack his childhood friend that would always play with him every time her family came to his town.
Seeing her after all this time froze Oscar in place and for the girl herself she was feeling the same way.
"Oscar?"
"Applejack?"
(Later)
After the introduction Oscar was place next to Applejack making him her wood shop partner. During class the two took every chance they could to catch up with each other with the teacher telling them to get back to work.
Picking it up Oscar saw that it was a photo of Applejack a few years younger along with some other girls.
One girl had light blue skin with rainbow color hair, from the way she's posing in the photo she seems like the tomboyish type.
Another girl had long pink hair and pale skin, from her expression she seems like the quiet, reserve, and shy type.
Another girl had long purple hair, grey skin and purple eyes. This girl reminded him of Weiss both were very beautiful and both exude that high society feeling.
The last was… something it's as if the color pink was a person that this is how it would look like, pink skin, pink frizzy hair. She seems like the Nora of the group, Oscar could already tell that this girl was the energetic type.
"Hey what's this?" Oscar showed the photo to Applejack.
"Oh…that." Applejack didn't seem all to thrilled by the photo.
"What's wrong?"
"What oh nothing just that's just me and friend from few years ago." She said taking the photo. "This one here is Rainbow Dash, she's the sporty type, this one is Fluttershy she's very shy prefers to be around animals than people, the fancy looking one is Rarity always thinking big when it come to fashion, and that one is Pinkie Pie she uh wild."
"Wild?" Yeah he was definitely getting Nora vibes here.
Applejack nodded before looking at the photo sadly.
Seeing the sad expression Oscar could tell that she didn't speak to them anymore and he wondered why from the photo he saw how happy they all were despite having different personalities.
"What happen?"
"Its nothin just…somethin happen where I thought I could count on them, but they didn't show and when I confronted them about it they said that I told them somethin then I called them liars and we got into a fight then we stop being friends."
Oscar could see that these girls meant a lot to Applejack just like how Ruby's team meant a lot to her. He wish he could help but he didn't know how but then he remember what his distant uncle once told him when he had a fight with his friend.
"Applejack my uncle once told me its okay to fight everyone fights now and then even best friends and he also said that you better make up quick because no fight is more important than friendship."
"Wow your uncle sounds very wise." She said.
"Yeah he kinda is."
"But even if I did want to make up to them I don't know how."
"Well I think the first step is to talk to them again, just no fighting, yelling, pointing fingers just sit down with them and talk." He told her.
"Well I guess it's a start thanks Oscar." That seem to lighten her spirit. "Hey hows about after school I take ya to see mah family's farm?" Applejack ask trying to bring the mood.
"You mean Sweet Apple Acres?" Oscar knew the name of the Apple family farm but never been to it before.
"Yep, you always said that you wanted to visit."
"Yeah I do." Oscar replied.
"Not only that but you get to see mah family again." She said. Now that gave Oscar more of a reason to go.
Meeting the Apples for the first time was one of Oscar's happy memories, the Apples were one of the kindest people he has ever met in life and he was eager to see them again.
"Yeah I would like." Oscar said.
(Sweet Apple Acres)
Like they planned after school Oscar met up with Applejack and the two drove off to the Apple family farm in Applejack's truck.
When they got there it was a sight to behold in the fields was a giant apple orchard that stretch across pretty much the entire farm. There was also the barn, the main house and other fields.
Seeing it reminded Oscar of home.
Getting out of the truck the two saw a boy older than them working the fields.
"Hey Big Mac get over here there someone you gotta meet." Applejack called out to her older brother.
Big Macintosh or Big Mac as everyone calls him was working the fields caring baskets of apples over to the barn.
Oscar remembered Big Mac mainly on how big he was for his age and it seems like he only got bigger over the years, he seems to be almost as big as his dad Bright Mac.
Once Big Mac was finish putting the apples away he finally came over to the two of them.
"Hey Big Mac you remember Oscar right? You know Oscar Pine from Shady Oaks?" AppleJack ask.
"Yep" He replied smiling at an old friend and Oscar smiled too but he couldn't help but hear how deep his voice got.
"Wow it's been a long time hasn't it Big Mac." Oscar said.
"Yep." He replied again.
'That's right Big Mac doesn't talk much.' Oscar remembered as his main response to everything is yep and nope.
"Why is that little Oscar there?" A voice asked.
Turning around Oscar smiled again as he saw AppleJack's grandmother Granny Smith walking towards them. Granny Smith even though it's been years she still looked the same as she did years ago.
"Hi Granny Smith." Oscar greeted with a wave.
"Let me get a look a ya." Granny Smith placed both her hand on Oscar's cheeks and started pinching them.
"Ow Granny Smith that hurts." Oscar complained but Granny Smith ignored him.
"Ah quit your yammering." She said as she kept moving his head around. "My look at you, you gotten handsome the last I saw you."
"Uh thanks Granny Smith." Oscar said.
"So tell me what you doing here in Canterlot?" Granny Smith ask.
"Well I'll be going to school here." Oscar answered.
"Is that right?"
"Yeah Oscar transferred to Canterlot High today Granny." AppleJack said.
"Oh that's good well Oscar how are ya parents they doing alright?" Granny Smith ask.
"Yes they're fine thanks for asking." Oscar replied.
"Ah that's good to hear haven't seen em in years, good to know they doing fine." She said "So what you doing here?"
"Well I thought I'll help out around the farm."
"Ah the help is much appreciated, here." Granny Smith handed him a basket. "You can start by helping Big Mac pick apples."
"Okay." Oscar said as he went to work.
"Hi everybody." Another voice greeted.
Everyone turned a saw a girl younger than them coming by.
"Applebloom where you've been?" Applejack ask.
"With mah friends Scootaloo wanted to show me somethin huh whose this?" Applebloom ask looking at Oscar.
"Hi I'm Oscar you probably don't remember me because you were only a baby when we first met."
"Really?"
"Yeah every summer our parents would take us to visit some of the our relatives out at Shady Oaks that's where Oscar lives with his family, Big Mac and I would play with him all the time we were there." Applejack told her.
"What how come you didn't tell me about it?" Applebloom surprise as this was the first time she heard this.
"Sorry bout that Sugarcube Big Mac and I would tell you about it later." Applejack promised.
"Okay."
"Alright that's enough talking yall time for work." Granny Smith said.
Hours passed and the sun was setting as everyone was finishing putting everything away they all heard the sound of a bell ringing.
"Alright youngins supper time!" Granny Smith called out.
"Well I guess that my cue to leave." Oscar said.
"Ahh but you can stay for one meal cant ya?" Applebloom ask.
"Sorry Applebloom I don't want to be a bother."
"It'll be fine Oscar besides we got a lot of catching up to do ain't that right Big Mac?" AppleJack ask.
"Yep." He said.
"Alright fine you guys win I'll stay."
"Yay!" Applebloom cheered as they went into the main house.
Months went by after that as life continued but it wasn't bad as Oscar found it enjoyable.
He manage to make friends at school with people like Derpy as she was pretty easy to make friends with, Flash Sentry and his band Oscar found out that Flash was pretty popular in school but despite his popularity he was a great to hang out with, and when it came to woodshop he and Applejack always came out on top being use to handling tools and wood.
Everyday after school he went to the Apples to help out with whatever chore they had to do, once the chores were done Oscar and Applejack work together to get their homework done and then Oscar would go home after having dinner with them.
Oscar saw that it was nice to spend time with the Apples even though he could be doing anything else after school just being on the farm doing farm work just felt right.
During one night with everyone having dinner Applebloom brought up an interesting question.
"So Oscar you gonna take mah sister to the Fall Formal?" Applebloom ask.
This cause Oscar to look at her in surprise while AppleJack ended spitting out her drink.
Oscar was at a loss of words, he knew about the Fall Formal apparently it was some dance held every year at Canterlot High. From Ozpin's memories the Fall Formal would be like the dance held at Beacon Academy the only difference would be that near end of the dance some girl would be picked to be Fall Formal Queen by popular vote.
And if the pictures in the hallway were anything to go by then the school bully Sunset Shimmer would just bully her way to be queen again.
"I- I don't know." He answered.
"Whadda mean you don't know?" Applebloom ask.
"Well I don't know who to bring really." Oscar really didn't know while he manage to make friends with some of the girls at school even that one girl Trixie of all people he really didn't have an idea on who to bring or if he should go at all.
"Well why don't you take mah sister she might want to go with you." Applebloom said as Applejack began to get embarrass as this was happening in front of her family.
"Can we please not talk bout at the dinner table?!" Applejack said trying prevent any further embarrassment on her part.
"What but why?"
"Just eat your food Applebloom!" Applejack shouted quickly finishing her plate and then running upstairs to her room.
Applejack's outburst surprised everyone so no one said anything and spent the rest of the evening eating dinner.
(Two Days before the Formal)
It was only two days before the Fall Formal and Oscar decided to go but still didn't think of a who to bring, despite all the girls he knew he couldn't bring any of them not because they rejected no instead his mind kept wondering off to Applejack.
He didn't know why but he felt as though he should ask her to the dance but he couldn't bring himself to do it.
Speaking of Applejack Oscar didn't see her for a while, he still sees her in wood shop and all their other classes they have together but during the off periods she's nowhere to be seen.
Right now he was sitting alone in the cafeteria eating lunch until the cafeteria door open.
Coming through the door was a surprise Oscar didn't expect, the surprise was Applejack coming in wearing some sort of outfit with some fake horse ears.
What surprised him the most wasn't the fact that she was wearing the outfit but who she was wearing with, together with five other girls four he knew from Applejack's picture her old friends that she broke up with and one new girl that he swears he's never seen before in school.
By the looks of it the six of them were about to do some musical number if the outfits and the boom box were any indication.
That was when Oscar remembered another thing about this world, it seems like everyone knew how to sing and if Oscar was being honest they were pretty good when it came to their song type and by the looks of it the six girls were no execption.
The way they moved, the choreography, and music, Applejack told him that she hasn't perform in a while so she's a little out of practice.
Well Oscar couldn't tell if that was lie or not because right now Applejack moved as if she never loss touch.
At the end of the song everyone in the cafeteria were cheering for them with praise and clapping, Oscar joined in.
Oscar watched as Applejack talked with her friends it looked like she was having fun with them.
He couldn't help but smiled feeling happy for her to be with them again.
A sense of nostalgia overcame him as he remembered back on Remnant everyone jumped on him for a hug back in Argus after the Jaune got angry at him for Ozpin lies.
It was times like these he wish his friends were here enjoying this like he was.
(Night of the Formal)
Wearing a nice suit Oscar was standing at the punch table drinking while watching everyone dance. Reason why he's not joining was because he never dance before and he didn't want to embarrass himself by trying.
He continue to watch everyone having fun dancing until the doors open and coming was Applejack and her friends.
Oscar was mesmerized on how beautiful they all looked but something surprised him, while he knew that girls wore makeup to look good at these things he was more surprise that Applejack was wearing makeup.
If Oscar was being honest Applejack looked stunning with the makeup on but at the same he couldn't help but see how ridiculous she look because of how much was on her.
Applejack split off from her friends and went to the punch table more specifically she was coming towards him.
"Howdy Oscar." Applejack greeted.
"Applejack uh wow you… look really pretty." Oscar complimented.
"Oh-uh why thank you." Applejack said pulling her hat down in embarrassment, but it was cut short when she saw Oscar giggling.
"Hey what's so funny now?" Applejack ask feeling offended.
"Oh sorry it's nothing just…that's way too much makeup on you." He said.
'Sign' "I know I told Rarity that I'm all gussied up for the dance already." She said her hands pointing towards her outfit to emphasize that the outfit itself was already enough.
"But she insisted that I get more gussies up, and I let her."
"What? Why? You don't seem like the makeup wearing type Applejack." Oscar said.
"Um no reason just thought that I'll uh you know change things up this once." She replied refusing to meet him in the eye.
Oscar sighed "Here let me."
Taking some napkins from the punch table Oscar began wiping the mascara, eye liner, and the rest of Rarity's work off her but left the lipstick on.
"There the makeup was good… but I like this better." Oscar said blushing a bit.
"Oh uh really now then um uh thank you." Applejack blush too.
Suddenly the music began to slow down as everyone who had a date brought out a dance partner to dance along to the slow tempo.
"Hey Oscar you mind dancing with me?" Applejack ask sheeply.
"What why?"
"Do I need a reason we are at a dance after all." She said.
"Oh okay" Oscar smiled before leading her to the dance floor. Oscar may have thought he couldn't dance but that was for dancing at clubs and stuff, but if it's slow ball room then Oscar can dance to that thanks to Ozpin's past incarnation attending fancy parties in their times.
(Later)
During the dance everyone had a great time and when the time came to crown the Queen, it came as no surprise that the new girl from a few days named Twilight Sparkle was made queen, in just the two days she's been here she's already made a big impact on the school making everyone like her and surprisingly enough Sunset too and now a new queen was crowned and everyone was happy.
After dancing for what felt like hours the Fall Formal finally ended and everyone went home.
Big Mac left earlier to take Applebloom home leaving Applejack to spend a little more time with her friends.
Oscar stayed behind because she asked him to take her home and he agreed.
After everything was done Applejack bid goodbye to her friends and the two went to the farm.
After arriving at the farm the two began walking towards the house, during the walk something caught Applejack's eye.
"Ah dang nab it."
"What's wrong?" Oscar asked.
"Ah nothing looks like I forgot to put up my bass away." She said pointing towards a tree with a bass guitar leaning against it.
"Your bass?" Oscar was curious he never knew Applejack had a bass.
"Yeah I start playin when I was thirteen." She said as the two walk towards it.
"Wow" Oscar said while he wasn't really into instruments but seeing the bass design was interesting.
"Yep she's a real beaut alright." Applejack said brush some leaves that have fallen on it.
"Um do you mind if I play a bit?" Oscar ask.
"You know how to play?" She ask passing the bass.
"I ah play from time to time." Oscar said. Truth was that one of his past incarnations was a musician and thankfully that incarnation played the lute which is basically a guitar so the mechanic should be the same.
Oscar began to strum the string on the bass before he got a rhythm going.

With the song over Oscar put the bass down and saw Applejack staring at him.
'Sign' "For a long I felt as though I had to be someone else for everyone around me, like the only way for me to contribute to everyone was by doing something that was expected when I wanted to contribute by being myself. I wanted everyone to see me as me and accept that like they see me as myself instead of this person they expect me to become. If I ever were to fade again then I want to at least be remember for who I truly was, the real me not someone else." Oscar finish remembering the conversation he had with Ozpin during his time in Atlas.
Oscar felt like he was part of the team, when he first met them and began his training he felt like he was helping them save the world, that he was his own inspiration to others like Ruby was to him. But when the truth about Ozpin came out he felt all of his expectations shatter as he felt that he would just be another innocent man trapped in the duties of someone else and that someone was something everyone expected him to be not himself.
"Oscar." Oscar turned and what came next surprised him.
"Mmh" Oscar's eyes widen as AppleJack suddenly kissed him.
While the action was sudden Oscar couldn't help but feel his arms move around her and pulled her in closer. Oscar didn't know why he did it only that it felt natural.
The kiss lasted for about a minute until the two finally pulled away for air. When they did a trail of saliva formed as massive blushes turned their faces into the shade of ripe apples. Surprised by the sudden event both looked away as they couldn't look each other in the eye.
"Applejack uh I." Applejack cut him off by placing a finger to lips.
"Oscar you don't have to pretend to be someone else just be you. You've always been you from the day we've met to the day you first came to school, to me you've always been Oscar Pine and that's who I'll remember you as no matter what because I love you." Applejack's face started to turn red as she said that last part in a whisper.
"What?" Oscar barely heard that last part.
"I-I I love you!" Applejack finally said as her face became a deeper shade of red. "I love you for who you are, to me you'll always be Oscar Pine, my childhood friend that I played with, my classmate, my woodshop partner, my date tonight, and the boy I love."
Shock by the confession Oscar just stared at her like idiot. Never in his life or past life on Remnant did a girl ever confess to him before, right now he was feeling something inside himself and Oscar knew that it was more than just butterflies in his stomach.
"Applejack…I don't know what to say."
"Don't say nothin just say that you love me."
"I-I do I do love you Applejack." Oscar said causing her to smile.
"Good now come on we have a couch in the living room I don't think mah family would mind having you over tonight." Applejack said as was about to get up but Oscar stopped her.
"Wait before we go just one more thing." Oscar said.
"Oh what is it?" She ask.
Using his left hand Oscar pulled AppleJack in for another kiss. She didn't resist as their lips connected once again.
The savored the kiss this time and while this was happening Oscar thought back to what AppleJack said.
She was right, he was Oscar Pine. Whether he was one of Ozpin's incarnation, a farmhand, warrior, or something he was still him underneath it all.
And he wouldn't have it any other way if people like AppleJack still saw him that way.

Hey everyone this is Nicdragon8 coming out with a one-shot.
So yeah this one-shot is a Oscar/AppleJack pairing I uh watched some MLP Friendship is Magic(don't judge me) and ended up watching Equestria Girls so I thought okay you know what there's not a lot of love for Oscar so let's throw him a bone and this happen.
I know it's not much because I kinda rush it but whatever.
As you saw this is an slight AU from the movie as I did not include the fight scene with Demon Sunset Shimmer, like I said I sorta rush this and didn't want to do much with a fight scene.
If anyone wants to make a story out of this oneshot as a base than knock yourself I don't mind its not like I'm going to explore this any further.
So I chose "Someone to you" by BANNERS because well why not? Oscar's situation as being the new Ozpin in the show means that he's becoming someone else but not the way he wanted it, during that conversation he had with him while escorting people with Jaune, Yang, and Ren to the crater Oscar showed he wants everyone to see him as him not Ozpin he want people to see that he's Oscar Pine farmhand now turned ally of the good guys, not some random kid that's liked by everyone because he's the new Oz.
The song even though it's somewhat romance base seems close to Oscar's situation.
I know it doesn't make much sense but that's the best I got.
