Love Realized

Linka and Gi are on Hope Island after a grueling week of battling the Eco-villains, now, all the two women of the Planeteers wanted to do was rest, which they were both doing by sunbathing on the beach of the island in their bikinis. Linka glances over to her Asian friend and teammate and suddenly found herself blushing.
'Why do I blush whenever l kook at Gi? I do not understand these strange emotions that I am-.'
Gi's angelic voice brought the Russian blonde back to the present,
"Da Gi, what were you saying?'"
"I asked if you wouldn't mind going scuba diving with me?" Gi said , before Linka could answer a bolt of lightning carved a path through the sky overhead and it began pouring rain.
Everyone quickly scrambled inside their huts, glad to be safely removed from the raging storm, Linka and Gi lock eyes again for what feels like an eternity, but in reality it was about four or minutes.
Neither girl wanted to be the one to break awkward silence or moment.
Deciding to seize the moment, Gi steps forward and takes both of Linka's hands into hers before looking up at the taller Russian.
"Linka, We have both been through a wonderful journey of friendship. Through tough times we have kept each other strong and have even shared some wonderful laughs together. Today, I stand in a place where I know that this friendship has evolved into something much beyond. I know that it is your companionship that I crave for through every step of my life. I do not hesitate one bit when I say that I love you.
I have fallen in love with the person that you are. The way you make life so simple and beautiful has made me realize that you are the one that I want to love and take care of forever. I do not know how you feel, but I just had to let you know what has been running through my mind. Whatever be your answer, I promise that I will not make our relationship one bit awkward for you."
Linka stood there in front of Gi speechless for a moment, letting the Asian girl's words sink in.
"Bozhe moy, Gi. You have made me so happy." Linka said before pulling her hands away from Gi before wrapping them around her a moment later and pulling Gi into a passionate kiss, Gi's heart rate sped up a soon as Linka's soft pink lips made contact with hers. The raging storm outside is now far from both Linka and Gi's minds, as the two Planeteers were solely focused on one another and nothing else.
The next morning, Wheeler and Kwame went to see where Linka was, as she wasn't in her hut.
"I do not think that Linka would leave the island and not tell any of us, Wheeler." Kwame says as they walked up to Gi's hut and knocked on the door.
Gi and Linka were sleeping soundly, snuggling together when Gi hears knocking on her door.
"This had better be important." Gi hissed before getting out of bed and grabbing her discarded one-piece bikini and slipping it back on. Gi glanced back at the blonde goddess still sleeping peacefully in her bed, Gi smiled at the sight and couldn't wait to return to Linka's side.
Gi walks to the door and opens it, revealing Kwame and Wheeler.
"Where's Linka?" the American redhead asked angrily.
"She is not in her hut, Gi, has she left the island?" Kwame asks in his usual calm tone.
"No Kwame, Linka didn't leave the island..." Gi said, but was interrupted by a soft hand gently grasping her left shoulder.
"I am right here, Kwame, Wheeler."
