So this is something new and different. Hope you enjoy it!

"Dang, so you had one heck of a night." Sam admitted wide eyed.

"I'm not sure whether I should say sorry we missed it or not dude." Tucker added, somewhat abashed.

"Well it all worked out in the end I think." Danny lounged back in the chair.

"I'm not sure what surprises me more, the fact Valerie actually caught you, or that she let you go, twice technically."

"I mean, Val's pretty tough, so I'd say letting me go is more surprising."

The trio was lounging at Tucker's house, his parents were out so they had some privacy to talk about some things they didn't want reaching certain prying ears. Danny had suggested it, after all, he did need to fill them in on everything from last night after he'd literally crashed into Danielle.

Sam sighed at the talk of Valerie, "It's a good thing you managed to stabilize Dani, from what you said it sounds like she was in pretty rough shape when you found her." She paused. "Or I guess she technically found you."

"Oh right! Speaking of who, you can come out now!"

When nothing happened and Sam and Tucker just stared at the poor half ghost like he'd gone crazy he just sighed. "Danielle! That was your cue!"

Still nothing.

Then the long suffering teen's eye twitched and he stood up. "Give me a second." With that he walked towards the wall of the house and shoved his head through it to look outside.

Sam and Tucker just shared a look as their friend made some motions with his arms, typically seen in conversations when someone is becoming a bit annoyed and really wants the other person to know about it. Unfortunately due to the fact only his head was outside, thanks to intangibility, whoever he was talking to (although it was probably his clone) couldn't see the motions.

Danny pulled his head back in after a moment. "Alright, Tucker, in case you didn't know your walls are apparently soundproof."

"Huh, neat."

"Yeah anyway guys, uh formal introduction, Dani Phantom!" He held his arms out to the side, hands spread as though welcoming someone on stage past the curtains. This however was not a stage or a curtain so Dani just phased through the wall in ghost form and took a bow.

"Thank you, thank you!"

"Hi Dani." Tucker and Sam chorused, mildly amused by the fancy introduction.

Sam looked to Danny, "You do remember we've met Dani before right? She overshadowed your mom and Mr. Lancer so we wouldn't get in grounded or whatever was going to happen."

"Well there was a lot going on and I only kind of met you guys briefly." The ghost girl said, touching down.

"True." Tucker admitted then gave her a second glance now that she was standing next to Danny. "Did you get taller?"

"Uhh." The two shared a glance and sure enough they were roughly eye height now, although Danny-with-a-Y might have still had an inch on Dani-with-an-I.

"Yeah actually that happened last night, well at least before she woke up." the boy explained.

"Annoying is what it is," the girl added on, "I was already borrowing an old pair of his pajamas, the only difference was instead of being a size too big they were a size too small when I woke up. But now my normal clothes don't fit." She paused. "Actually, my hat still fits and I can kind of squeeze the sweatshirt on but it's tight. Right now I'm stuck borrowing some of his stuff."

Sam raised an eyebrow, "But your ghost outfit still fits?"

The two halfa's shrugged at the question. "I have no idea, how come mine repairs itself every time it gets damaged and I change back? Maybe it because it's part of her ghost form? Probably better if we don't question it though." Danny concluded.

Tucker groaned. "That sounds exactly like the kind of thing we should question. Self repairing clothes that grow with you? We could make a killing off that." he rubbed his fingers as though imagining the bills in his hands.

"I'll give you a glove later to look at." Danny promised him.

"How exactly did this happen?" Sam asked. "I mean, I'm no expert but you shouldn't grow that much in a single night. If I woke up with an extra foot or two I would freak out."

Danny snorted and the ghost girl looked sheepish. "Well you aren't the only one." the boy told her. "As for the how, well I'm far from an expert and I can't exactly ask my parents, but we're prettier sure stabilizing her had something to do with it. She was originally supposed to be my age so maybe the Ecto-dejecto helped her catch up?"

The other two teens shrugged, not having a better answer or explanation for it. Anyone they could ask about it probably would not give them an answer anyway.

"Well that's the how, what about the why, no offense Danielle, but weren't you going to be travelling the world or something."

"I prefer Dani, but yeah that was what I was doing before but…" She trailed off.

Danny picked up the slack, "We talked a bit last night after Val left, ghost powers or not, being homeless kind of sucks."

"Yeah it does." Dani grumbled. "Like don't get me wrong, a part of me still wants to fly off to Europe but I am really tired of sleeping on ratty mattresses in buildings with no insulation and leaky roofs. So after thinking about it, I realized the world isn't going anywhere anytime soon."

"So you'll be sticking around for awhile then?" Sam asked, intrigue evident in her tone.

"For at least a few years, although we're gonna try and find something more permanent than a blow up mattress in Danny's room."

"Yeah, your parents might notice a girl who looks just like you living in the house." Sam agreed. "I might have a spare room at my house you could stay at. My parents don't wander the halls unless we have guests and we have cleaning staff who know how to recognize privacy."

"On the bright side she can help with ghost attacks! With two of you, you both might be able to get full nights' rest!" Tucker realized.

"Oh dang," Danny smiled lightly. "I'd forgotten what it's like to have eight hours sleep, what's it like?"

"Beautiful. Like something out of a fairy tale." Tucker told him, his voice dead serious. It didn't last though as his stony facade cracked and he started chuckling.

"Are the ghosts attacks that bad?" Dani had concern written on her face. "I kind of figured you'd get maybe one or two a week."

"More often than that, but it varies, some weeks are worse than others. I do get full nights sleep sometimes but normally I get to bed late or get up early because my ghost sense goes off and I have to deal with the issue." Danny elaborated to her. "Although it will wake you up in the middle of the night if one is nearby, normally that's just a ghost coming through though. They won't start a fight immediately, most of the time at least."

His clone heaved a sigh of relief. "Oh thank god, I was worried for a second there. But yeah I'll help deal with some of the ghosts at least."

"Welcome to the team Dani." Sam offered a proper welcome then glanced between the two. "Wait so you both prefer Danny, how do we differentiate?"

"Context?" Tucker suggested. "Actually that might be annoying with you two in the same room."

"Dude, just specify if you have to, it'll be fine." Danny told him.

Tucker sighed. "Fair enough, welcome to Team Phantom Dani, now with 100% more Phantom!"

She giggled at that. "Thanks, happy to be here."

"So you're wearing some of Danny's clothes right now? We'll see if we can get you a new set at the store, I know a good place." Sam suggested.

"Is it that goth store?" Danny asked.

Sam looked a bit put out by thatf. "It's not just a goth store."

"I think I'll pass, the goth look works for you Sam, but I think I just want a bigger set of what I had before. Gotta love the sweatshirt." Dani smiled.

"Fair enough, maybe Jazz can help you out." Sam accepted defeat. When both Fenton/Phantom's eyes widened though she gave them a scrutinizing look. "You have introduced Jazz and Dani right?"

"Uhhh, well… ya see-" Danny stuttered out.

"Oh my god how have you not told Jazz about her yet."

It was Danny's turn to look sheepish, "To be honest? I have no idea how to start the conversation with her."

"And I feel like popping into someone's room without warning and introducing myself once is enough." Dani added.

"Well at least you have a better explanation this time, I mean third cousin twice removed? What was Vlad thinking on that one?" Danny snorted but stopped abruptly when Dani lightly punched his arm. "Oh. Wait really?"

"I kinda panicked okay? I couldn't think of anything else." She huffed. "It was enough to convince you though wasn't it?"

"Fair enough." the original admitted. "I'll see if I can get Jazz aside later so we can introduce her, probably away from home or get my parents out of the house. I get the feeling that she might freak out a little bit."

"Jazz is normally pretty level headed." Sam pointed out but thought about it. "Although finding out she essentially has another sibling might freak her out a bit."

Before the conversation could continue though, a blue mist came out of both Dannys' mouths. "Well look like duty calls." The ghost boy switched into ghost form and jumped into the air. "Let's see who it is this time. You want to come?" He asked Dani.

"Sure, it should be fun now that I don't have to worry about melting into ectoplasm." She agreed and took off after him.

Outside the opponent quickly revealed himself. "Ghost child! You know why I'm here! I've got upgrades that need testing and a wall decoration that need hanging!"

"Really Skulker? Only a wall decoration? I at least deserve a mount on the mantle!" Danny quipped at the hunter.

"Wait what?" Dani looked at him alarmed.

"Context, Dani, context." The phantom explained rolling his eyes.

Skulker on the other hand looked very confused, "Whelp, when did you master duplication? And also transformation?"

"Oh right, I got duplication down a little while ago, I just haven't really needed to use it against you yet." Danny admitted.

The poor hunter actually looked hurt by that. "I'm not good enough that you need it?"

"No, Skulker, look, it's just a complicated ability and I really only need it if whoever I'm fighting is also using it." the halfa tried to placate his most determined enemy.

Skulker was slumped now. "Don't give me your excuses. I'm just not good enough anymore."

"Is this how all your fights go?" Dani was caught somewhere between laughter and pity.

Skulker looked back up and glared. "I'll just have to prove I'm more than enough ghost for you to handle!" Rocket and missiles launchers popped out of his armor. "Hold still whelp! I've got you this time!"

The two half ghosts spiraled around the attacks that were hurled towards them, letting them sail off into the sky as they zoomed in close. Danny slugged the hunter with a punch to the cranium while Dani came from below with an ecto blast that sent him soaring even higher into the sky.

Skulker recovered quickly enough and flew back down, "If you're not using duplication, then who or what are you?" He glared down at Danielle.

"Hi, I'm Dani-with-an-I, not to be confused with Danny-with-a-Y." She introduced herself and fired another blast at the mechanized hunter. He flew over the cityscape, and briefly out of sight of the two teens.

"Nice shot." Danny complemented her.

"Thanks, should we catch up with him or do you think he'll leave us be."

"We should go catch up with him, he never knows when to quit. But you'll get used to that."

"I'm really not sure I want to."

They raced over the town after their opponent but as they caught up with him he maneuvered and blasted Danny into a nearby wall.

"Danny!" his female counterpart gasped and then yelped, barely missing a similar blast meant for her.

"Hah! See! I told you I got some upgrades!" Skulker cheered, holstering the smoking weapon at the end of his arm. "Also, now I get two halfas for a single hunt!." He looked at Danielle. "I'm going to assume you're one too right? Where did you come from anyway?"

"I am, and unfortunately Vlad." Dani deadpanned at him.

"He does have a one track mind doesn't he." Skulker agreed.

"Like you're one to talk!" Danny called as he phased through the pile of rubble.

The flaming ghost glared at him. "Hey, I'm just in it for the thrill of the hunt, if he didn't pay so well I'd be hunting Plasmius too."

"Dude, there's got to be plenty of big and terrifying things in the Ghost Zone that are non-sentient, why don't you go after them?" The ghost girl asked him.

"Well that's just the problem, they're non-sentient, they can't think or plan, it takes the intrigue out of itttttttttttt-" The hunter was cut off as he was sucked up into Danny's thermos.

"Nice job distracting him, normally I just beat him up until I see an opening to do that." he complimented his clone.

"Yes… distracting him." Danny gave her an unamused look. "Hey it worked didn't it?"

"True, and… uh oh." His eyes widened as he looked down at the street.

"What?" She followed his gaze and felt her own eyes widen at the sight of the gathered crowd below. It wasn't a particular large group, maybe twenty to thirty people at the most, but Amity Park knew how to gossip. Especially when it came to their somewhat controversial hero. "Oh…"

"There's two Phantom's now?" Someone asked.

"One's a girl?" Another added.

"Cool! Phantom has a twin!" A kid cheered.

"Oh god they're multiplying! We'll be overrun!" One particularly panicked resident cried.

Danny winced at the last one, "We should probably get going before this gets out of hand. Or before the ghost hunters show up." He turned and flew back towards Tucker's house.

"Right behind you!" Dani agreed and followed after him.

"Welcome to Amity Park, Dani, hope you enjoy your stay!" He laughed as they soared through the air.

"I plan to!"

So this is a bit different than my normal stories.

Most of my stories have some sort of grand overarching plot I'm either working towards or already have going but this story is going to be a bit more slice of life than anything else.

As to the why? Well I felt like there weren't enough Danny and Dani stories where they have more of a sibling relationship. So that's what I'm doing here. Mostly I just want them to be dorks together and mess with everyone else's heads.

On a Danny Phantom related note, as of the posting of this story, I've edited the description of my other Danny Phantom story, Gone Ghost because it was brought to my attention that just asking a question for a description isn't the best, I feel like it got the point across but I can do better.

Now as to why I stopped updating anything for a month and a half… I don't want to talk about it, let's just leave it at that and see if I can keep my updates regular again for a while.

Anyway, that's all for now folks, until next time!
