Title: An Apology Ends With A Kiss
Author: MaeManuel1
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Jaden x Syrus
A/N: I'm posting another Anikishipping fanfic because my favorite GX ship needs more of not just fan art, but more fanfics. Like one person in this fanfiction website said, Anikishipping may not be a popular ship like Spiritshipping and possibly Rivalshipping (The GX kind), but it's too cute to ignore. Plus, I'm trying to help Anikishipping become as popular as my former favorite GX ships. ANYWAYS, this story takes place before or after the 124th episode of Season 3 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Triple Play (Part 1). So, I hope you guys enjoy it.
Jaden Yuki ran in the dark hallways of Duel Academy (which has been transported into the internal dimension after Jaden had defeated Professor Viper in a duel), but then stopped to see that this hall was creeping with Duel Ghouls, who were hunting for duelists to duel. Luckily, Jaden was not alone as his duel spirit partner, Winged Kuriboh, was by his side so he had him distract the Duel Ghouls just so Jaden could sneak behind them.
After the Duel Ghouls were gone and following Winged Kuriboh, Jaden let out a sigh of relief and kept going but carefully made sure that he didn't trigger any sound to attract them.
That's right Winged Kuriboh. Lead them away. Just don't get caught and turned into a duel ghoul spirit like Chazz's Ojama pals did. Jaden thought with worry as he remembered when Chazz and Ojamas Yellow, Black, and Green were also turned into Duel Ghouls like almost the rest of the students.
But what he worried most was that someone would notice that he was gone and out of the gym because he had to sneak out to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, when he quietly went to the doors and slipped through, Jaden had a feeling that his partner, Winged Kuriboh wanted to come along. So with a heavy but quiet sigh, Jaden let him follow.
However that wasn't the only reason, as to why Jaden was out of the gym was also because he was in search of his best friend who was turned into a Duel Ghoul: Syrus Truesdale!
Not to mention that he and Jesse had an argument about Syrus while Blair was recovering from the scratch (that was created by the strange creature with a monstrous hand) on her arm, thanks to the medicine they and the other three transfer student duelists: Axel, Jim, and Adriane, got from the submarine.
(Flashback Starts)
"What?! But, Jess! That wasn't my fault!" Jaden said defensively but in a retorting way. "I didn't know that Syrus would become a Duel Ghoul like almost the rest of the students! I only hoped that he'd be safe and you said that he would be! Until we found him in the locker room, where he already became one!" Jaden shot a glare at Jesse, who was shooting a glare back at him. "And I suppose you're gonna start blaming me for getting him turned into one of those Duel Ghouls that are still out there?!" Jesse snapped, bringing his hand to the doors that were closed and being held by Hassleberry and three other students who were keeping the Duel Ghouls out.
"What?! No! That's not it, I-!" Jaden protested, but Jesse interrupted him by grabbing him by the shirt, almost threateningly, and bringing him to his face. "Listen Jaden! Syrus had a good reason to quit being an Obelisk and go back to being a Ra Yellow: to keep staying by your side and always protect you! Weren't you paying attention to him before you went back to sleep and started chowing down on Blair's cooking in the nurse's office before we got here?!" he asked in annoyance.
Jaden replied back "Yeah I was, but-" then got cut off by Jesse.
"But nothing! You just had to leave his side and ignore him! It's like you don't care that he wants to be by your side and protect you!"Jaden gritted his teeth in irritation by what Jesse said. "That's not true! At least he did protect me!" He tried to rip his shirt free from Jesse' grip, but Jesse was holding Jaden really tight. And not in a friendly way.
"By what?! By becoming a Duel Ghoul himself?!" Jesse shouted angrily, gripping onto Jaden's shirt more. "That's NOT the way he was trying to protect you! He cares about your safety, but you don't care about HIS safety!"
"But Jesse-" Jaden tried to say, but again, Jesse cut him off with another tug at his shirt.
"DON'T 'But Jesse' me, Jaden!" Jesse barked. "Why did you have to leave Syrus behind? Is it because of me?!" He pointed his thumb at his chest while he kept his grip on Jaden's shirt more. "Because I'm taller and that you listen to me more than you listen to Syrus?! Uhh! I can't believe you, Jay, and I thought you were a nice guy! I just transferred at Duel Academy, along with the other guys who came from different schools, and you and I were just getting along so well! Only YOU had to kick Syrus right out of the picture and replace him with me!" He grunted in frustration.
Their argument resumed as everyone was watching them without Jaden and Jesse knowing. Even Winged Kuriboh and Ruby Carbuncle didn't like how things were going between their partners.
"You listen here, Jaden! Just because Syrus is the little guy, doesn't mean you should ignore him and treat him like he's nobody's friend! Maybe he was right about being the sidekick of the show and nobody listening to him! What kind of friend like you ignores his friend just because he's the small fry of the gang, anyway? HUH?!" Jesse pointed out.
Jaden repeated with a growl, "I told you, that's NOT true! You're just overreacting!" then added, "I didn't mean to leave Syrus behind so he can become a Duel Ghoul, Jesse! It's just that he's growing into a stronger duelist and that I believe that he can take care of himself! And to top that off, I do care about him and his protection— and his safety!"
Jesse was looking annoyed, Jaden could see that in his narrow angry eyes.
"Well if you care so much about Syrus, Jay, then maybe you should've insisted on letting him come with us to get Blair that medicine!" Then he added bitterly "Or better yet, why don't you go out there and get your best buddy to duel you so your Bio Band can drain you and make you become one of those Duel Ghouls like he did?! Maybe then after that's done, you two will be much happier together!"
Hearing that from the blue haired Crystal Beast duelist made Jaden and everyone gasp. Jaden sulked solemnly. When he heard those gasps, Jesse quickly looked around the gym to see the students' shocked faces and some started to whisper to each other as Jesse looked back at Jaden's face to notice the hurt look as his expression softened slowly and he let go of his shirt. Then he sighed as he placed his hand on Jaden's shoulder.
After his anger simmered down, Jesse gave Jaden an apologetic expression. "Look, I'm sorry for yelling at ya, Jay," Jesse apologized. "I know it's not your fault that Syrus became a Duel Ghoul. And I know that what I said was harsh, and maybe a bit rude. But you're right. I am overreacting, but what I'm saying is that I feel ashamed about Syrus being turned into a Duel Ghoul, and you should be too because after all, he is your best friend and maybe even more than that, because I can tell by your expression." Jesse sent Jaden a teasing smile that made him blush slightly.
Had Jesse known about Jaden being gay with Syrus before this all started, or did someone tell him that?
"But listen Jay. I promise that we'll get him, Chazz, and the rest of the others back. It's like I said, if we find the source of what's making them act weird, we can stop it. Just you wait and see." Jesse finished with a promising smile. Jaden sent Jesse a small smile that was half a frown back. "Thanks Jess. I think we will." Jaden replied back half-heartedly.
(Flashback Ends)
But although Jesse's comforting words made Jaden feel a bit better, their argument still haunted Jaden and left a sickening feeling of guilt in his stomach.
He still couldn't help but blame himself for getting Syrus into this mess and believing that Jesse was right. Jaden should've insisted to Syrus that he would come along and help him, Jesse, Jim, Axel, and Adriane to get that medicine for Blair.
After all, Syrus did quit the Obelisk Blue to protect him at all cost just like Jesse told him.
Jaden soon stopped at his tracks as same words then came back into his mind and he looked back from when he and his friends were surrounded by other Duel Ghouls in the locker room: "Jaden you will pay."
Jaden winced from that memory. He didn't understand why his best friend wanted him to pay, but he did now: by not listening to Syrus and leaving him behind, just like Jesse said. He let out a deep, sorrowful sigh. "Some best friend I am." he muttered to himself, but then pushed a bit of his guilt aside and continued running. Jaden needed to find Syrus… and tell him that he was sorry.
I just hope that Zane doesn't get too upset with me when he hears about his little brother being turned into a dueling zombie after we get back home. Otherwise, he'll kill me. Jaden thought, frowning at the thought of Zane being furious at him for putting Syrus in danger again. Or worse. If the Dark Magician Girl found out… Not wanting to think about it, Jaden shook his head to get the thoughts out and grunted.
He just needed to find Syrus, apologize (without getting himself into a duel with him since Syrus is still a Duel Ghoul), and then get back to the gym before anyone suspected his disappearance.
But first, Jaden needed to find the bathroom like he had in mind, and luckily, he knew where it was as he made his way around the bend.
As Jaden entered the bathroom, he used the toilet and finished, then went to the bathroom sink to wash his hands and waved them to dry them off. But before he could leave, Jaden heard an eerie moan that sounded familiar as he saw one of the bathroom stalls open in the reflection of the mirror and turned to see… Syrus!
Jaden's eyes widened with surprise. "Sy!" He cried, as Syrus stared at him with that ghoulish, creepy face with that creepy looking smile. "Hey Jaden. Let's duel." Syrus said running up to Jaden, his arms outstretched when he was going to give him his usual loving embraces. "Duel. Duel me, Jaden." He said as he hugged Jaden. Jaden missed those hugs, as they made him feel safe and gave him the strength and confidence he needed before a duel.
Instead of pushing Syrus away, Jaden allowed him to hug him and he hugged back and replied "No Sy. Not now." Syrus opened his droopy eyes and stared up at Jaden with a confused expression. "Huh? Why not Jaden? You're here, and now we can duel." Suddenly, Syrus felt Jaden loosen the hug and as he did, Jaden gripped him by the shoulders, and Syrus had his arms taken away from his waist as he was pushed backwards and pinned onto the wall while Jaden hovered over him. "Wait! Jay! What're you doing? I said let's duel!" he demanded, but Jaden pressed his finger to his lips to give Syrus the silent gesture. "Shh! Sy, don't make any sound!" Jaden responded quietly as Syrus began to wriggle, trying to break free from Jaden's grasp.
He gritted his teeth and glared up at Jaden. "You can't silence me! I'm gonna call the others and tell them that you're in here so we can duel you!" he bellowed. "Now let go of me!" But before Syrus could shout, Jaden quickly slapped his palm over his mouth as the light blue-haired duel ghoul muffled "Hey!".
Yeesh Sy! What part of 'don't make any sound' did you not get? Jaden thought with annoyance.
After Syrus had calmed down, Jaden took his hand off his mouth and let out a deep sigh of relief. "Listen Syrus. I'm not here to duel you." explained Jaden as he cast his eyes down at the floor, hoping that his best friend turned into a Duel Ghoul wouldn't notice the guilt in his face. Syrus soon got impatient when there was silence between him and Jaden. "So then what are you here for, Jay? I wanna know! Start talking!" he scolded, just as Jaden lifted his face up to look at Syrus straight in the eyes, even if they were ghoulish and blank looking, but Jaden held back his fear.
"I went out to find you… to say I'm sorry!" He confessed as Syrus' glare subsided and was replaced with a curious look. "Sorry? For what?" He asked with his eyebrow raised. Jaden took a deep, slow breath as he continued speaking, "For leaving you behind."
"But what for?" Syrus asked again in a smug tone when he felt Jaden wrap his arms around his back and pull him back into another hug that was a little tight and he buried his face into his shoulder. Syrus could feel his shoulder becoming damp while he felt himself blush slightly, despite being a Duel Ghoul, when he heard Jaden's voice drop down in a whisper. "Nothing. I just felt bad for leaving you, because like you said, I'll pay, and I am— by coming out to go looking for you and apologize." Jaden explained as Syrus blinked and replied "Huh?" as his eyebrow rose up again.
Then to Syrus' surprise, he could hear Jaden's voice starting to sound shaky as if he was about to cry. "Look okay? I didn't think that all of this would happen when me, Jesse, Axel, Jim, and Adriane got back with medicine for Blair to see the whole academy filled with students turned into Duel Ghouls. And that Chazz, the Ojamas, Ms. Fountaine, and even you would become one of them."
Syrus could feel Jaden tighten the hug more as Jaden opened his eyes to look down at him again and he could see them about to water.
"Jaden…" Syrus whispered.
Soon, Jaden let go of Syrus as tears flowed down onto his face and he let them fall onto the floor. "Oh Syrus. I know I shouldn't be blaming myself for this but... it's all my fault that you became a Duel Ghoul! You wouldn't be one if I'd stayed and protected you instead of leaving Duel Academy with Jesse, Adriane, Jim, and Axel so we can get more supplies and the medicine for Blair's scratch!" Jaden said tearfully. "I should've insisted that you'd come with me and the guys so you wouldn't be looking like this. I should have at all. I'm so sorry, Sy." He finished with a sniff, then wiped his eyes with his sleeve.
"So please! I know you might be upset with me, Sy! But please, forgive me! I won't leave you alone until I know that you can forgive me!" Jaden let a few more tears slip out of his eyes before they dried up.
"Jaden." Syrus whispered again, this time with solemn in his tone.
After hearing those words, Syrus could see that Jaden's eyes were filled up with pain and loss- for losing someone he loved. Finally, after some seconds passed, Syrus responded with a small smile "I forgive you, Jaden." But then his voice changed into that same creepy Duel Ghoul tone and his small smile grew into a devious one as he said "However, I still want to duel you. So-" But before Syrus could finish, Jaden brought his finger to his lips and Syrus relaxed as he pressed his back onto the wall.
Jaden shook his head and brought his hand to Syrus' chin to lift his head up gently. His thumb smoothly running on Syrus' lower lip. "No Syrus. Not yet." He said softly as Syrus blushed again.
Jaden had to admit that even though Syrus was still a Duel Ghoul, he still looked cute with that red color on his cheeks. "Not until you and the others get back to your old selves when we get out of here. But for now, I want us to be alone— together."
"And what? Duel?" Syrus asked as Jaden chuckled lightly, and his face moved closer to his until their lips were one inch between them. "No. I can't duel you, but I can do this." he replied, bringing his lips towards Syrus'.
"Wait! Just what is-" Just before Syrus could finish asking what it was, he suddenly felt a pair of Jaden's lips land on his lips. "Mmmm…" Syrus moaned in surprise and his eyes widened, as Jaden placed two of his hands onto his cheeks to slowly pull him so he could deepen the kiss.
Although Syrus wanted to break apart the kiss, he couldn't resist it but decided to give in and feel the warming feeling of Jaden kissing him with those familiar but warm and moist lips that were on his smooth and cold lips that were becoming warmer the moment they were kissed. He closed his eyes, let his shoulders relax, and pulled himself closer by wrapping his arms around Jaden's waist, never being able to break the kiss as Syrus started enjoying the feel of the Slifer Red brunette's lips on top of his own lips.
Again, Jaden pushed Syrus, who pressed his back onto the wall again and he slid down to sit, while Jaden still held onto him and kept kissing him. After a few more seconds, the two teens broke the kiss to catch their breath as Syrus breathed softly and his face was as red as Jaden's.
He looked up and stared straight into Jaden's eyes, then Syrus placed his hand onto his mouth to hide his embarrassment, but with no luck. "Jaden…" he whispered after touching his lips with his fingers and reclaiming a few breaths. "What-what was that? Why did you…" Syrus stopped before he could say "Kiss me?" Instead, he finished by asking "Why did you do that?"
Once again, Jaden chuckled as he replied "Why did I kiss you?" Then explained "It's my way of thanking you, Sy— for forgiving me. But I also wanted to do more than just apologize, because actions speak louder than words. Plus, I wanted to make you remember. Remember how good it feels to be kissed."
"Well. That was… good." Syrus slowly took his hand away and smiled, then Jaden smiled back.
"Thanks. Now do you still wanna duel me?" asked Jaden with a smirk. "You know Jay. Now that I think about it, I don't feel like dueling— for now." Syrus answered with a sly smile. "But I could go for another kiss." He felt Jaden lift his chin up again.
"Really? Do you want me to kiss you again?" asked Jaden as Syrus nodded. "Yes. I don't care if it gets too deep, it just feels nice. So go for it, Jay." He responded, wrapping his arms around Jaden's neck as they pressed their lips together and went for another kiss that was soothing and passionate.
Their lips parted slightly as Jaden slid his tongue onto Syrus' lips and he started lubricating them with his saliva until it entered Syrus's mouth while Syrus did the same with his tongue until they started exploring each other's wet caverns just when Syrus began to grip onto Jaden's red blazer jacket tightly while Jaden pulled him close to deepen the kiss more.
Soon, their chests pressed together and their heartbeats synchronized with each other as they opened their eyes to look into each other for a moment, not taking their lips apart.
He'd forgotten how good this felt when he became a Duel Ghoul; until Jaden appeared and reminded Syrus the sweet, smooth, and soft feeling of a kiss. And for that sensational reason, Syrus didn't want this to end. Neither did Jaden as he was enjoying it like before.
"Mmmm…" moaned Syrus as he felt Jaden move his tongue inside his mouth so he could taste every sweet part of it. "Mmm…" Jaden moaned also when Syrus moved his tongue around in his mouth until their lips tore apart again for air.
Their moans of pleasure soon started filling the bathroom, and Jaden and Syrus started to feel warm from their kiss.
After slowly catching his breath, Syrus places his hands on the sides of Jaden's face and whispers to him "Oh Jaden. I just love the taste of those lips of yours." He breathed on Jaden's lips.
"Me too Sy," Jaden agreed, staring into his blank but loving silver eyes. "But your lips are a lot sweeter than mine." He sent Syrus a smirk and he smirked back before snickering. "That's no joke, Jay! Your lips were so spicy that they nearly melted mine, but I'm not saying that I didn't like it. I still love that they are."
"Really? Well I'm glad you enjoyed that, but don't stop now. We're only getting to the good part." Syrus didn't dare to ask what that good part was as his and Jaden's lips stuck back together for another passionate kiss.
They stayed like that for a few more minutes when the body heat between them started rising up and their foreheads formed beads of sweat. Jaden could feel it as much as Syrus could too until the temperature between them made their whole bodies feel hot.
With a thought coming, Jaden moved his hand to Syrus' duel disc from his wrist without him knowing it, then he moved his hand to the button of Syrus' blazer jacket to undo it before he crawled his hand underneath his dark red turtleneck shirt so he could touch his soft, delicate light skin.
Syrus cringed from Jaden's touch that he broke apart their kiss, which left a big and thick saliva bridge between them, to breathe in more air heavily. "Jaden, wait. What are you-" whispered Syrus breathlessly, but Jaden ignored his question as he took out his hand from under Syrus' shirt and slowly lowered his Ra Yellow jacket then moved it right next to the discarded duel disc.
"Relax Sy," whispered Jaden, a smile forming on his face as he removed his duel disc, then his red blazer jacket and threw it right next to Syrus' jacket and duel disc before pulling up his black shirt over his shoulders and then grabbed the lower restraints of the duel ghoul's dark red shirt as he slowly pulled it over and off him, then threw it to the pile that had the jackets, the duel discs, and his shirt until the only things that they had left on were their pants, shoes, and Bio Bands. "I'm gonna make this more fun for us, but this is mostly just for you." He then removed Syrus's small glasses and placed them gently down.
Syrus stifled a gasp when Jaden pressed his lips to his ear to whisper into it. "But first, I want you to be extra quiet so the other Duel Ghouls won't hear us. Can you do that?"
Without another word, Syrus slowly nodded while he stared into Jaden's eyes with his blank eyes that were still droopy with the lowered eyelids and the dark shadows underneath them, but Jaden could see a familiar love in them: a love that the real Syrus always had towards him, despite everything they've been through.
"Good. Now stay perfectly still." said Jaden as Syrus did so and he started kissing Syrus by his collar bone that made the small Duel Ghoul squeak. Jaden began breathing onto that spot and he began licking it, then went up to Syrus's neck and landed his lips onto the very sensitive spot to suck on it.
Unfortunately, it was very hard for Syrus to keep quiet when Jaden started to leave a trail of kisses down from his stomach to his chest, where he could feel the Slifer Red teen breathe softly at his nipples until Jaden began to lick them at increasing speed and in the end, suck on them.
Syrus squeaked. "Ah… J-Jaden… Jaden!" He could feel his heart beating like mad crazy when he felt Jaden suck and lick him so hard.
Man. For a duel ghoul, Syrus is still very sensitive. Still, he's very cute when he moans. Jaden thought as he still kept on touching him while Syrus struggled to stay quiet like the brunette commanded.
"Jaden— oh!" Syrus let out another moan, but sucked in his lips and bit down hard on them to prevent any noise.
However, Syrus couldn't take it anymore as he freed his lips to let a cry rip free from his throat and he collapsed onto the floor after Jaden took his mouth off of him while he was breathing heavily.
"Syrus, I told you to be quiet." he whispered as he took a quick glance at the door, fearing that any Duel Ghouls might've heard Syrus.
As Syrus slowed his breathing, he turned with a frown and responded "Sorry Jay. I couldn't help it. You were touching me too hard, but I'll try to be quiet next time." Jaden smiled down at the little Duel Ghoul and pinned himself down on him. "That's okay, Sy. I'm sorry too." He apologized as Syrus laid his back on the floor. "I got carried away, but I'll try to take it slow this time. Now, shall we move on?" Nodding, Syrus allowed Jaden to touch, lick, and suck on him more.
Although, Syrus kept on moaning and groaning from every touch of Jaden's lips or hands. And he shivered from his hot breath breathing down on him. But he managed to stay quiet this time as Jaden slowly licked his way back up to Syrus' neck and Syrus grasped onto his shoulders to keep him on top of him.
Just then, Jaden went up to Syrus' ear and began to lick at it as well that it made Syrus let out another squeak and then a few more heavy breaths as Jaden kept on touching his chest more until he stopped to hold onto Syrus's soft and delicate hands and look down at him. "Syrus," he began as Syrus slowly opened his eyes to look sideways at Jaden. "Do you love me?" He asked. "Do you still love me, after what happened?"
Syrus gasped silently and stared back. "Y-Yes." He managed to stammer. "I love you, Jaden. I love you so much."
"Then say it, Sy. Say that you love me. I wanna hear it from you." Jaden commanded gently before letting go of the Duel Ghoul's hand to lick his chest.
Once again, Syrus moaned with even more pleasure, but he managed to respond "Mmm! I love you, Jaden." He started to pant as Jaden touched his chest more and whispered back "Say it again. And with meaning this time." Jaden stopped touching Syrus's chest and began to suck on that sensitive spot on his neck again.
"I love you." Syrus said again with more meaning, then he breathed in and out sharply, and tightened his grip around Jaden when he felt his hand on his back that Syrus tensed. Syrus laid his back on the floor with Jaden's hand still touching his sensitive spots while Jaden went back to necking him, only for a second to command "Say you love me again."
Syrus inhaled deeply, and let out a gasp. "I… I… LOVE YOU!" He cried out, then Jaden pulled himself off of Syrus's neck and brought his lips down on him again for an even deeper kiss.
Their tongues wrestled in their mouths more and their sweat made their bodies more wet but sticky that they felt like they were stuck together as if glue had gotten between them.
Soon, the sound of Jaden and Syrus' moans filled the bathroom once again, along with their scent being mixed together: the rich combined smell of rain and spring flowers, and the sweet and spicy smell of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg with a mixture of chocolate and brown sugar.
While they were still holding each other and having their lips pressed against each other, Jaden slowly opened his eyes to see Syrus relaxed and enjoying this moment they were having together.
He just loved the way Syrus wrapped his arms around him when they embraced each other and kissed. Deep down, he was still that little blue-haired angel Jaden loved so much.
Syrus. Jaden began in thought. This is what I want: a night to spend with you where I can hold you and touch you and kiss you. So tonight, I don't want anything to ruin this moment between you and me. I want you to feel good about this, and I won't leave your side again. I promise I'll stay with you until the time comes.
Jaden, I love you so much. Syrus thought with a smile through his and Jaden's kiss.
Later, after the kissing was over, Jaden and Syrus had their shirts, duel discs, and jackets back on them and were now resting on the floor together, holding each other in an embrace. Then Jaden opened his eyes and slowly got up to look down at Syrus, who was sleeping soundly.
"Gee. All kissing and having me touching him must've really tired Syrus out." whispered Jaden, slowly running his hand over the duel ghoul's blue hair. Which was good because now that Syrus was asleep, Jaden can sneak back to the gym. Although, he felt bad that he had to leave his best friend behind again but Jaden needed to get back to the gym.
But before Jaden could get up on his feet, he was stopped by the bluenette, who had woken up and grabbed him by the arm. "Jaden, wait! Don't go yet!" Syrus begged. "I want us to keep hugging and kissing more, and maybe we can duel after that! So please, don't leave me again!" Jaden tried to pull away, but from the look in Syrus' blank eyes, they had sadness and loneliness in them. He really wanted to stay with the small Duel Ghoul like he promised himself he would, but Jaden had no choice but to leave him behind again.
Holding back his tears, Jaden brought his hand over to Syrus' face and caressed it. "I'm sorry, Syrus. I wish I could stay here with you, but I need to get back to the gym." He sent him a smile. "And don't worry, Sy. I promise, I'll come back for you and do some more hugging and kissing with you, but only if you're not a duel ghoul anymore after we get back to our world."
"Promise?" Syrus asked, looking deeply in Jaden's eyes and holding his hand.
"Promise Sy." Jaden responded softly, and squeezed Syrus' hand back before placing a gentle chaste kiss onto his forehead. "Just don't tell the other Duel Ghouls that we've been in here or what we've been doing together, okay?"
"Okay Jay. I won't tell. It'll be our little secret." whispered Syrus, who laid back down to rest, letting Jaden leave the bathroom and meet up with Winged Kuriboh later.
After Jaden was gone, Syrus slowly opened his eyes to look at the opened door again. "Jaden…" he said softly. "I know you'll come back for me." Then before drifting back to sleep, Syrus' lips formed into that same sweet, angelic smile.
THE END
