AN: Hi there! I decided to just publish this in one-shot and so, I deleted my previous work.

Raven hair sways behind her, standing in front of the shed that houses the passage towards the past, her bangs covering her blue eyes, as tears gather around its corner. Right foot steps forward followed by the other, until, she reaches the bottom, reaching with her arm stretched on the lip of the well, she looks at the bottom which abyss greets her - such a dark place. Her lips quiver, stopping her cries wanting to break from her as her tears flow down on her cheeks, remembering her dream.

She dreams of a man, kissing her lips.

Red flushes evident in her cheeks, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Then, whispering her name in her right ear as she mouthed his name back.

"I.."

The man pushes her gently away as they separate.

That was when she saw his eyes 'bright golden slitted eyes'

"So beautiful, my love"

And he smiled softly to her, mouthing something she couldn't hear

Then he began to fade, as she stand shocked

Tears formed in her eyes making them brighter as it fell down on her cheeks.

Opening her mouth to scream and it went black.

A young man, holding a soccer ball, was playing in front of the Sacred Tree of Ages, his ebony hair - just like his sister, swayed by the wind, practicing, whilst, his thought was preoccupied. He saw her enter the shed, her taking a moment to observe outside before stepping in. He knew what she was doing and so he followed her, holding the ball, he moved towards the place. Upon seeing her, his brown eyes shed tears, empathizing with her, seeing her suffering from pain while kneeling in front of the well, will surely be remembered by him, forever. Pain strikes his chest, leaving her there while he runs towards the Sacred Tree of Ages.

'Ever since she came back, she has always shut herself in her room. She stumbles outside the well house with her clothes torn and scratches littered on her body as dried blood evident that it has been days that she had them.'

Sister what happened to you? I hope I could help you, even Mama and Grandpa are getting worried now. If there is only a way to help, I've been wanting too since the Noh mask incident.

Placing his hands to the trunk of the tree, he poured his desire and prayer to the Gods.

'Please God, I want to see my strong sister once again, help her overcome her pain.'

Exiting the shed, venturing back to her room, she walks with her head held down. Reminiscing the past, she stops before the Sacred Tree of Ages, her expression exhausted from all these suffering, from the feeling of being alone despite being with her family.

Flashback:

'It's been 3 years since I went back to the Sengoku period, I'm excited to see Inuyasha, and everyone else. I hope they are doing okay.'

In that time, the portal to the well was open, as Kagome talked to her mother and decided that she will live on the other side and be with Inuyasha, alas, she jumped once more. Later on, Inuyasha greeted her first, followed by Miroku and Sango with their third child strap on her back. Then, she saw Shippo transformed like a pink balloon, floating in the air.

After that, Kagome was guided towards the village of Edo, and she saw Rin and Granny Kaede inside the hut, who greeted her back.

'Everyone I'm back'

Two months had passed, she settled down in the village and had her own hut built, Kagome was tasked to gather herbs together with Jineji - he decided to settle down in our village after his mother passed away.

"Onii-san!"

She shouted at Sesshomaru as she saw him flying with Jaken, the imp was grabbing his mokomoko to prevent him from falling. Kagome saw the Ice Lord grimacing and she smiled at that before turning to Inuyasha who sports the same expression.

'Tsundere brothers'

Laughing at that, she continued to venture on whilst, Inuyasha followed her towards the Sacred Tree of Ages. She decided to talk to Inuyasha about their relationship.

"Inuyasha"

"Kagome, let me speak first, I... decided to stay friends with you"

"Oh, Inu..."

"You see, after you went away for 3 years, I met someone during the time I was helping Miroku from another village, I... she... That time, I decided to court her and would like for her to be my mate"

Putting up a front, she smiled at him. Despite the tears forming around her eyes, she did not let it fall and face Inuyasha again.

"Inuyasha, thank you for telling me this, I'm happy for you!"

Hugging him, despite the pain in her chest, she was happy for him that he found someone who would accept him.

'I guess there really is no chance for us, please Kikyo guide him'

Praying to the soul of her incarnation, to guide her first love - no, their first love. Telling Inuyasha that she would stay longer in that place. Looking at her remorsefully, he left her at the Sacred Tree of Ages.

Closing the door, she went into her bed, the exhaustion and loneliness welled up in her chest, eyes red from crying earlier, began to shine once more, tears fell down on her lap. Embracing herself, she misses him so much.

'Why would he send me back? I decided to stay with him. How dare he!'

Falling asleep, that night she dreamed of him.

A man was standing in the meadow, her white kimono with cherry blossom engraved on it was being blown by the wind. Long silver silky hair swayed as he observed his surroundings, appreciating the beauty before him. Her eyes looking at him, from the trees, soften, before continuously walking towards him.

Anger welled up in her chest, she confronted him.

"Why? Why did you do it? Why did you send me back?"

Golden slitted eyes meet hers, before averting first. Opening his mouth, he told her.

"I promise you didn't I? Or did you forget it?"

"What do you mean?"

His deep and soothing voice reassured her confusion.

"Soon, Kagome"

Waking up, her face void of expression, feeling empty, before doing her routine.

'Liar, it's been 5 years passed since that day'

Meeting her reflection, as her face contorted in grimaced, went downstairs for breakfast. Her bangs covering her eyes, greeting her mother before going outside. Checking the well, once more - this became a routine for the past few years.

Losing hope, the well suddenly flared with magic, after staying dormant for so long. Doubt forms on her mind, gripping the well lip tightly, evident of her knuckles going white.

A man wearing a business attire went upstairs, his black hair swayed behind him, venturing onwards to the shrine. Knowing his destination, stepping on the last riser, he pivoted on his feet and went to her. Smelling her tears, his chest constricted from pain of making her wait, footsteps approaching her.

She muted her surroundings, only seeing what's in front of her, feeling a familiar energy, she still faced the well, deciding to leap on it. She was suddenly hugged from behind, before a whisper stopped her from struggling from her captor.

"Kagome, I'm sorry, I was late"

Tears of joy, loneliness, and relief fell down on her eyes, holding his forearm, she sobbed harder. Removing his hold, she faces him, trembling hands reach to caress his face, to feel him, that he was real and not another dream.

"Sesshoumaru, I'm glad you remember"

Reaching for him, before hugging him tightly, whilst, the well dim once more, acknowledging her decision.
