Ashley J. Williams, demon slayer and savior of humanity, screamed at the top of his lungs as he fell. The fall felt endless, but in actuality, only lasted a few moments. However, Ash was no stranger to long falls if the Medieval Ages taught him anything.
The ground rapidly approached the man and he soon hit it with a thud, but naturally, Ash came out of it unharmed. Ash groaned, attempting to place his right hand on his head to assess the damage. However, something was off. The metal hand that his good friend Pablo had made for him was now gone; his stump being what remained.
Ash gritted his teeth. "God...Dammit!"
Ash stood up, not showing a care for where he was, only for where his metal hand may have landed. The only thing that stood out to him were the many corn stalks that surrounded a big house; not that Ash cared for who lived there.
As the demon slayer continued his search for the missing hand, he felt his heart begin to beat faster. He couldn't understand how.
"Hey!" A voice whisper-yelled next to him.
Ash turned towards the sound of the voice and saw a man peeking from behind a rust-colored locker. He cocked his head in confusion, but also because of how wimpy this man looked. Broken-glasses, a very dweeb look.
"Who the hell are you?" Ash asked.
"I have no time to explain. You need to hide. Before the Legion finds you." The man whispered, before quickly hiding back in the locker again.
Ash still didn't understand. Before he could, he could hear footsteps and loud breathing behind him. He turned around and came face to face with a teenager. It was the Legion. Ash gave a little smile as the teen reminded him of his first Linda; a nice rack and also a very nice body. But Ash quickly had to remind himself that this was obviously a teenager.
"So, uh, can you tell me where I am?"
The teenager simply stood still and stared at Ash. The knife in her hand twitched, almost as if she had some sort of desire. For the first time since Ash arrived, he felt uneasy. The figure began to move towards him; knife tightly clenched in her hand.
"Whoa there, I'm not into that." Ash said, his hands ahead of him.
The Legion, without warning, charged at Ash; her knife held overhead. Ash quickly reacted and dodged out of the way as the figure swung. He instinctively reached for his boomstick in the holster on his back, but he froze. As he reached his hand back, there was no boomstick.
"Oh come on!" Ash yelled.
The Legion turned to Ash, angered that she had missed her first swing. She ran at Ash once more. Ash failed to react in time and was sliced on the arm.
"You bitch!" Ash yelled.
Ash punched the Legion in the face with his good hand, causing the killer to fall back. The Legion simply couldn't believe it. She felt her face; the pain was overwhelming. How the hell are they able to fight back?!
Ash flung his hand in pain. He packed quite a punch, but that didn't mean his phalanges agreed with him. However, despite the obvious attempt to kill him, Ash couldn't believe the fact that he had just punched a teenager. Ash approached the Legion, still in pain.
"Hey, you're not gonna call the cops, are ya? I'm not going to jail for this."
The Legion simply swung at Ash from her position, hitting the front of his ankle. Ash kicked her in response. While the Legion was disoriented, Ash quickly wrenched the knife from her hand, holding it triumphantly. The Legion looked up at Ash, her cheek beet red.
"The chosen one." The Legion muttered under her breath.
Ash smiled. "Mhm, that's right. That's me, baby."
The man with glasses left his locker and approached Ash, completely astonished as to what he had just witnessed.
"H...How? We're always so powerless and yet, you're able to take them out in a single punch. How?" The man asked with a very nervous voice.
"Listen up, dork. I'm the chosen one and if I'm destined to save the world, I can punch evil in the face faster than you can say…" Ash quickly lost his train of thought.
The man awaited a response, but it never came.
"My name is D...Dwight, by the way, n...not dork." Dwight said, his nervous voice guiding him.
Ash hated people like this; they're never gonna get laid if they're gonna talk like that. They reminded him too much of his older self.
The Legion stood to her feet and placed her hand out. The knife that Ash had taken began to burn his remaining hand, causing him to drop it in pain. The Legion kicked Ash in the groin, causing him to fall backwards. She picked up her knife and attempted to plunge the knife into Ash's abdomen.
"Not today, sister!" Ash yelled, grabbing her knife hand.
The legion took advantage of the situation and leapt onto Ash, pinning him to the ground. This was too kinky, even for Ash. Despite only having one hand, Ash was barely preventing the Legion from stabbing the knife into his chest.
"DORK! HELP ME!" Ash screamed.
Dwight "punched" the Legion, but it only burned his hand as a result. He cowered back towards the locker, leaning his back against it.
The knife drew closer and closer to Ash's chest, so close in fact, that it was beginning to rip at his blue shirt. Ash struggled, but he began to grow weaker. This was it. His death after death. The chosen one, to be killed by a teenager.
As Dwight continued to nurture his injured hand, he noticed that the sky had begun to swirl. He eyed it curiously as he had not seen this before. He watched as a tiny object fell from the portal in the sky; falling exactly towards Ash.
Ash's grip was slipping; the knife was now piercing his flesh. He yelled in pain as the Legion smiled down at him from behind her mask.
GONK!
The Legion moved off of Ash and held the back of her head as she rolled around on the ground. Ash was confused, until he noticed why. His metal hand had fallen from the sky and landed on the Legion's head. He quickly swiped it up and inserted it into his wrist slot, a clicking sound indicating it was connected.
Ash rolled the Legion onto her back and pinned her, like she did with him. He ripped her mask off, revealing...a very beautiful face, although it was covered in blood. Ash hesitated for a moment; her face reminded her exactly of Linda. He refused to be manipulated again. He began to punch the Legion over and over again. Her beautiful face quickly becoming a swollen mess.
The sky began to swirl again and another item of interest quickly fell from the sky. Ash looked up and smiled gleefully as he recognized it. He raised his hand up and caught it swiftly. His precious boomstick, with ammo along with it, naturally. He loaded the shot gun and approached the Legion. He aimed the shotgun down at her.
"You know, I don't like to hurt women." Ash stated.
"You won't survive, Ash. They'll get you eventually. I'm not the only one standing in your way."
Ash smirked. "We'll see about that."
With the twitch of his robotic finger, he fired the boomstick, turning the Legion's head into mush. After swiftly reloading the boomstick, he placed it into its rightful place on his back. He turned around and froze. He saw three people standing in a line, simply staring.
Ash quickly reached for his boomstick, but the black woman of the group held up her hands.
"Wait, please don't shoot. We're innocent."
"Well, I just had to kill a very hot girl, so I don't really know right now." Ash yelled, his boomstick still raised.
"We're survivors just like you. Look, I'm Claudette. This is Dwight." She gestured to her left. "This is Cheryl." She gestured to her right.
"I don't really give a shit. You're gonna tell me where I am right now!
Claudette was almost panicking. She began stammering; the shock of seeing someone fight back was unknown to her in this realm.
"You must have died or something, I don't know. But whatever happened, the...Entity has taken you and placed you here, just like all of us."
"To do what?"
"To live an endless cycle of death, in all honesty. Well, until you arrived." Claudette smiled; she had felt slightly hopeful.
Ash lowered his boomstick. "So we're trapped here? God damn it. Now I'm never gonna get a beer."
Cheryl squinted in confusion. "What the hell is up with you?
Ash eyed Cheryl up and down. "You know, you're kinda cute. You single?"
Cheryl sighed. "I'm 17, asshole."
"Damn it." Ash muttered.
Before they could continue their lovely conversation, the ground began to shake violently and loud bells rang out. Everyone fell to the ground attempting to stabilize themselves. A loud roar was heard throughout the cornfield. Ash held his ears trying to silence the noise.
As he stood up, he noticed three figures emerge from the fallen Legion. They were all dressed identically to the first Legion. Ash quickly aimed his boomstick at the figures and fired.
He missed horribly.
Claudette and Dwight quickly ran away from Ash as the Legion, now three people, charged towards Ash. Ash aimed his boomstick once more towards a more masculine Legion and fired.
A direct hit, blowing the Legion's head apart.
He quickly maneuvered around the remaining two by performing a somersault through both of them. He quickly aimed his boomstick once more and fired at the feminine Legion.
Once again, a direct hit, killing the Legion.
The final Legion stood face to face with Ash, who aimed his boomstick again.
Click!
Ash quickly began to try and reload, but he was still too slow. He placed the shotgun shells within it, but it was thrown from him as the final Legion tackled him to the ground. Using his metal hand, he punched the Legion, but this one was far more tolerable towards the punch. The Legion raised his knife over his head and…
BANG!
A large hole immediately present on the Legion's chest; blood splattered all over Ash's face and shirt, a few drops even made it into his mouth. He pushed the Legion off of him and stood up. He looked towards his savior, Cheryl Mason, holding his boomstick. She walked up to him and handed the boomstick over.
"You're not too bad, baby." Ash said as he grabbed his boomstick.
Cheryl held on to the boomstick and pulled Ash closer to her.
"One other thing, don't call me baby." Cheryl stated, releasing Ash and his boomstick.
Ash placed his boomstick back into his holster and nodded to Cheryl (who may or may not have been blushing).
"So, I guess you really are the chosen one after all, huh?" Cheryl asked, curious.
Before Ash could answer, a sinkhole opened below his feet. He reached out to Cheryl who tried to pull him up, but she only fell with him. Dwight and Claudette watched in horror as Cheryl and Ash disappeared beneath the ground.
