{Hey guys, i havent posted a story like this since i was like 11, so i'm going to say this is the first post im making as someone who has gone through more than half a year of lit class and actually has some grasp on writing. That is not to say that the writing is great, so i am open for constructive criticisms and help on this. As of now, i do not have any beta readers so please point out any little issues you find so i can fix them! I also dont know what pairing will be happening in this story as of yet, so i am open for suggestions and we shall see where the characters take us. There are also vague plans for side stories involving characters that will be introduced later if there is enough interest. Anyway, lets get going onto the main story! This is just the first little blurb to see if there is any interest in this story, so later chapters will hopefully be a bit longer. Thanks again!}

*3rd person POV*

The sun dappled countryside sat just beyond the car window, all trees and fields, cows and little streams, flying by just beyond reach. The pavement rumbling beneath the tires of a large black truck, carrying a small family closer to home. The toddler in the back seat babbling away was the spitting image of her parents, all sandy blond curls and twinkling eyes, playing and patting the door as best as she can with small chubby arms. Her Mamma in the passenger seat staring lovingly at her husband as he chatted happily with his best friend, gesturing with both hands at times in his excitement. Soft responses murmuring back from the dash, with the occasional chuckle rumbling the entire frame of the truck. As she sat there, arm resting on the console with a hand supporting her head, her smile fell as thoughts swept her away once more into a land of concern. He still had no idea.
"Will," Sarah began softly "I think you should give your sister a call,"

Cutting her off with a huff, Will gave her an eyeroll and replied "Sarah, we have talked about this. She calls me, that way I don't catch her when she is busy. I always feel bad catching her at a bad time."

Knowing that there was no winning this argument she sighed and turned to look out the window instead, falling suspiciously silent. This gave the other, unseen party on this trip a clue that things were not going to go well for his friend, and led him to jump in as well.

"Will, Sarah seems set on this. It might be wise to listen to your sparkmate- er...wife. A quick call cannot cause too much harm?" Staying neutral in this was not an option. Will would forgive him any transgressions in a few days. After slipping up in conversation at dinner a year ago, Sarah didnt speak to the old bot for six weeks. Not long at all in the eyes of a cybertronian, but more than enough to make him highly uncomfortable.

Will simply grumbled in response and glared at the dash, while Sarah gave his door a pat along with a quiet thank you. The awkward silence between the other two adults led him to drive a little faster as they turned onto the road with the house. Almost everything screeched to a halt when the house, and the unknown silver Jaguar e-type roadster that sat in the dirt driveway. Immediately, the entire family went into action. Will unbuckled and drew his weapon, ready to jump out of the truck the moment it stopped. A fizzle in the back indicated that the bot had initiated his holoform. Sarah also pulled her seatbelt away and slipped into the middle seat in the back to sit between her daughter and whoever invaded their house.

Quickly pulling in, the two soldiers jumped out and headed for the front door. On a quick inspection (and scan on the part of Ironhide) there was no sign of forced entry. With a few hand motions and practiced ease from working together for so long, the two silently entered the house and began clearing rooms. As the two approached the kitchen, they noticed the slight glow of the fridge light. Will glanced around the corner briefly, but was unable to see who was there due to the open fridge door. The only indication was some flare legged jeans, but that was enough for Will, as he let out an annoyed groan and holstered his weapon, motioning for his friend to do the same.

At the sound a head of wild, light brown hair popped up from over the door, a previously frozen waffel in the culprits mouth. Matching brown eyes meet each other in a standoff for a moment, before the mystery woman lobs the waffle at Will with a cackle and makes a break for the side hallway that leads back around to the living room.

Ironhide watches in confusion as Will lets out a curse and sprints back the way they came. Following after his friend and comrade at an even stroll, he is even more perplexed when he hears small springs, and a few dull thuds. He walks into the livingroom to see Will with a bright white and orange plastic looking pistol, diving over the couch while shooting small foam darts. The waffle woman, as he has decided to dub her, occasionally peeks around the couch and returns fire. After a minute or two, she chucks her phone across the room at his charge and calls a truce. The two cautiously emerge, both with guns in the air and eyes watching the other closely. Then all at once, they both drop back into firing positions and shoot each other at the same time. At this point, the two were acting like sparklings, and as far as ironhide was concerned, this was still a threat to his charge, as she was an unknown.

"ENOUGH"

The shout is loud enough to get both to look wide eyed at him, and with the two side by side, with the same eyes, making the same face, he came to an unfortunate conclusion; this was William Lennox's sibling.

*Darcie's POV*

'Damn he's loud' was the first thing to cross her mind as she stared at the new man. He was about as tall as will, with the same military cut to his salt and pepper hair. Ah, so career military then. A hard angular face riddled with worry lines led her to think he was the no nonsense type, and the scar across his right eye told her he had seen at least one tour, though she assumed more from his body language. It had been years since she had seen someone this intense, not since before dad died. Thinking back, those had been all of his old war buddies and they were all hard asses if memory served. Giving the man a small wave and then turning back to her brother, she decided her best bet was to avoid this guy. She didn't need any more hard asses in her life right now. Giving a small wave in the general direction of her thrown phone she gave Will a sheepish smile.

"Hey there Billiam. Can you do me an itsy bitsy favor and wipe the GPS info from my cell? Don't say you can't, we both know that Robbie showed you how." she threw a wink in for hopeful good measure. This all threw Will for one heck of a loop. His little sister showing up out of nowhere, by herself, asking to have her cell wiped. Not a good sign.

"Darcie, do i even want to know what you have gotten yourself into this time? I thought you were going on a trip to the mediteranian? Showing up out of the blue like this, its insane!"

She gave him a half hearted shrug as an answer and immediately spun on the spot "so where is Annie? I brought presents for her and Sarah and I simply can't wait!" leaning in in a conspiratorial whisper she murmured "I even managed to smuggle some of that chocolate Sarah likes from Germany." after another glance around, she determined that her next targets of affection were not in the house and wandered onto the porch calling for her sister-in-law and niece all the way.

Summoned by the familiar voice, Sarah jumped out of the truck (after swearing quietly and gently smacking the door until Ironhide relented and unlocked them), turning for only a moment to help little Annie out before trotting up to the porch, child still in her arms. Soon the two were enveloped in a large warm hug. It wasn't long before Sarah had nearly thrust Annebelle at her husband and pointed right back to Ironhide's alt form, demanding that the boys take the little one out to go grocery shopping so she can make a 'proper' dinner for their first family dinner in 3 years. Getting indignant squawks from Will and frustrated glances from their guardian, she manages to get them out of the house after about 15 mins of none so gentle convincing (forcing).

As soon as they rounded the corner down the street, Sarah spun like a tornado and fixed Darcie with a deep stare. "Oh honey, I'll get the wine, and we can talk. It will take them at least an hour." and as Sarah slipped an arm over Darcie's shoulders, the mask broke. The smile she gave back was watery at best, downright broken at worst, a sob following immediately after.
