Note: I never thought that I would make a story related to Command, seeing as I hate that game, but here we go. Enjoy!
While fighting off the Anglar forces on Corneria, Fox received a message from an anonymous source.
"Hello?" He answered his communicator.
"Hello, Fox."
Fox froze when he heard that voice. He knew who it belonged to: Wolf O'Donnell. Out from the horizon came four Wolfens. This confused Fox, wasn't there just three members of Star Wolf?
"Long time no see, McCloud!" Leon Powalski chuckled.
"Looks like the Pup is all alone." Panther Caroso said.
"Only I get to call him a Pup, Caroso." Wolf sighed in annoyance.
"Whatever." The black jungle cat said.
"I want to be alone, you guys!" Fox said.
"Too bad, so sad!" Leon said.
"You're fighting us, Pup, whether you like it or not!" Wolf said.
"Fine then." Fox said.
Fox began to fight Star Wolf, dodging each of their attacks with relative ease. With no effort, he took down Leon with a few blasts.
"No!!!" Leon shouted as his Wolfen crashed to the ground.
"Who's next?!" Fox shouted.
Panther chased after Fox, firing at him.
"I can understand why Krystal left you, McCloud!" Panther taunted. "You really are a jerk!"
"She didn't leave me, I fired her!" Fox shouted as he fired at Panther, taking him down. "Too bad she's not here to watch me kill you guys!"
"You think that you can kill us, Pup?" Wolf chuckled. "How pathetic!"
"Shut up!" The vulpine said as he fired at Wolf, damaging one of the wings of his Wolfen. After that, he launched a bomb at his enemy, which sent him crashing down on the ground. However, that left Fox to fight the pilot driving the fourth Wolfen.
"Showed them, didn't you?" A voice, that of the fourth pilot's, asked. The voice sounded like it was going through a modulator, but it sounded feminine.
"Yes," Fox said, "and I'm going to take you down!"
"Try me." The pilot said.
Fox proceeded to fight the new member of Star Wolf. However, the pilot, whoever this person was, was dodging everyone of his attacks. In fact, he was receiving more damage than giving. After a few hits, Fox found himself crashing down to the ground. Once there, he saw the injured members of Star Wolf.
"I see you've met our new member?" Wolf asked.
"Whoever it is, they're pretty violent." Fox said.
"Yeah, she's got it out for you." Panther said.
"She?" The vulpine asked.
The fourth Wolfen landed near the wreckage, ignoring the fires around it. Upon opening up, the pilot stepped out. To Fox's surprise, the new member of Star Wolf turned out to be a familiar cobalt vixen.
"Krystal?" Fox asked.
"Hey." Krystal said.
"Had fun, Princess?" Wolf asked.
"You bet." The cobalt vixen said.
"Could you go get a first aid kit for us, dear?" Panther asked.
Krystal went over to the cockpit of her Wolfen, which allowed the other members of Star Wolf to draw their guns. Before they could shoot and wound the vixen, she used a psychic deflector shield to bounce the blasts back at them.
"Did anyone of you think that I forgot who I was working with?!" Krystal shouted as she fired her blaster. After that, Wolf, Leon, and Panther were killed instantly. Once they were dead, Krystal walked towards Fox.
"Krystal, stay back!" Fox shouted as he struggled to get his blaster. "If you don't, it will be the stupidest -"
Krystal shot Fox in his shoulder, causing him to drop his blaster as he screamed in agony.
"I'm stupid?" Krystal spoke. "Oh, spare me, you're the stupid one, Fox. Kicking me off the team because you were concerned for my safety? I can handle myself, dumbass! Did that ever occur to you? No, because you were too busy caring about yourself."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Fox moaned as he held his shoulder.
Krystal opened fire again, hitting Fox's knees. The orange vulpine screamed louder, struggling to cover his wounds.
"I mean that you clearly wanted us away from you because you were afraid of us meeting the same fate as your parents!" Krystal snarled. "I lost my home planet, Fox, you're not the only one whose life Andross ruined! You saved my life on Sauria for what? So I could be your trophy girl? That's what I am to you! Once I show you what I'm capable of, you get rid of me! No wonder the team disbanded! You're just a selfish bastard who can't accept that everyone else was a victim of Andross, not just you!"
"Krystal," Fox struggled to speak, "I'm ... sorry I kicked you ... out ... of the ... team. You're right, I'm ... a selfish bastard who ... didn't consider the feelings or lives ... of my teammates. Can you ... ever forgive me?"
"Let me think ..." the cobalt vixen said before pointing her blaster at his head, "No! Goodbye, Fox!"
Fox was unable to move, knowing that Krystal would kill him. He closed his eyes, hearing a blast go off.
"Fox?" A voice called his name.
Opening his eyes, Fox saw that he was in his bed. Around him were Falco, Peppy, Slippy, and Krystal.
"What happened?" Fox asked.
"You were having that stupid dream where you disband the team and caused Krystal to join Star Wolf." Falco stated.
"So Krystal's not in Star Wolf?" The vulpine asked.
"Of course not," Krystal stated, "I would never join those guys."
Getting out of bed, Fox ran over and hugged his teammates.
"Gee Fox, it's been a week since we've stomped the Aparoids!" Slippy said, surprised by how Fox was acting.
"I know," Fox said, resisting the urge to cry, "I just love you guys! I would never disband the team, not even if I was concerned for your safety! You're all warriors, and I value you!"
"Oh Fox!" Krystal said, charmed by his words.
"We value you too, Fox!" Peppy said.
"Yeah, don't expect us to lose all respect for you and leave you." Falco spoke.
"Besides, it was just a dream, buddy!" Slippy said.
After a minute, Slippy sniffed the air.
"Oh boy, I better get back to working on breakfast!" The toad said as he ran out of the room.
"I'll give you a hand, Slip!" Peppy ran after him.
"And I'll leave you two alone." Falco said to Fox and Krystal. After he left the room, the two foxes looked at each other.
"Krystal, did you see my dream with your telepathy?" Fox asked.
"Yes," Krystal said, "it was quite troubling. You shouldn't have dreams like that, they can be bad for your mind."
"I'm just worried about you and the team." The orange vulpine said.
"You don't have to worry about us, Fox." The cobalt vixen said. "We're all capable of handling ourselves. Even if the team disbanded, I would stay with you."
"Really?" The tod asked.
"Absolutely." The Cerinian said.
After that, the two kissed, letting their relationship grow stronger.
"Let's go eat breakfast." Fox said.
"Okay." Krystal said as they went to the dining room.
Note: Let's face it, Command's story being a dream would've been a better ending than the multiple endings we got. Overall, that game had a stupid storyline. Fox kicking Krystal out? Krystal joining Star Wolf? Falco leaving the team? Peppy replacing General Pepper? Did Dylan Cuthbert watch soap operas as he wrote the plot? Hell, some of the endings suck, especially the ones where Krystal remains with Star Wolf. I'm glad that the game is non-canon, to the point where the events will never happen in my stories. Hell, I will never understand why stories that are connected to Command are more popular than the ones that aren't. This story is not meant to be enjoyed by anyone, it was just my way of blowing off steam. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
