The King and Queen of Arendelle didn't die in the shipwreck; no, they survived and washed up on some god forsaken land. They awoke to pain and coldness. While they searched for firewood, they also looked for people. They never found any. It took the King and Queen a year and a half to build a boat with a little cabin atop it. It then took them a year and a half to find their way back to the kingdom of Arendelle. When they got to their kingdom they found out that they were supposed to be dead. But nothing else.
"Excuse me?" They heard from their side. "You're the King and Queen?" They continued, "You are supposed to be dead!" There was a crowd after that. People hugged and welcomed them back. It took one little boy to finally say something that no one even, not even the adults, thought about.
"Um... " They all looked at the little voice. "Shouldn't we tell the Queen that they are back or something?"
"Queen?" The two exchanged looks.
"Yeah, the Ice Queen." A random bystander answered.
"ICE QUEEN?!" They started running toward the castle. Everyone stayed behind to let them find out for themselves.
They ran pretty quickly to the castle that when they ran into the throne room they froze. There sat their beautiful daughters in a passionate kiss. What shocked them more was the fact that Elsa, the Queen, was not wearing gloves and had her hands EVERYWHERE on Anna, and she wasn't freezing her. One of the servants came in and saw some spectators. Not about to have any of it, she walked up to the two and pushed them out of the room and gently shut the door behind herself.
"If you wish to talk to the Queen and her lover you have to wait." The King and Queen looked at the young woman before them and realized she was a new maid, so she didn't know who they were. They sighed and walked back into the room, past the maid, and walked up to the throne. The King cleared his throat loudly. The girls jumped up from the throne. When they looked up they looked like they just got sentenced to death, which caused the queen to raise an eyebrow while the King had a blank look.
"You look really different." The King looked at his eldest. The pale woman ran her hands through her hair and backed away. The room got colder and the floor froze over. Anna went to walk over to the younger Queen but the King grabbed her arm. She yanked her arm from her father and pulled her sister into a hug and whispered sweet nothings into her hair.
The room slowly turned to normal. The King and Queen were shocked to say the least. "How did you..?" The Queen gasped.
Anna turned around quickly. "Only the act of true love can thaw a frozen heart." She looked to her parents. "We found that out when she froze my heart.: The rulers gasped. "You knew and never told me. Had you told me, I wouldn't have spent almost ten years of my life alone." She looked at her sister. "Nor would I have felt as though she hated me." She looked at her parents. "I was told everything. You could have just left me with the memory of her powers. I would have understood someday."
As Anna explained everything that went on, from when Elsa no longer talked to her, to when Elsa caused an eternal winter, to killing her, and onto how they finally got to now.
"Mommies!" They heard a voice and looked generally shocked at the two girls. Even more so when a snowman, with a cloud above it, came running into the room. "Kristof and Sven are back.: The tiny snowman looked at the two other people in the room. "Oh, hello. I'm Olaf. And I like warm hugs."
"Your magic can do that?" The King asked.
"Yeah it was a shock to me too." Elsa finally spoke. Anna and Elsa then followed the snowman out into the castle courtyard. The King and Queen followed and saw a scruffy looking man and a reindeer pulling a sled with ice on it. The two daughters hugged the man and then fed the reindeer a carrot. When did they get a carrot?
Anna looked at Elsa. "Do you wanna build a snowman?" Elsa grinned and then stomped her foot. The entire courtyard turned into ice. Else then used her magic to make ice skates for her sister and herself. They started to skate around with Elsa helping Anna because she wasn't all that great.
The King and Queen smiled and then carefully returned to their room in their daughter's castle. They cleaned themselves up and then went right to sleep. The next morning the entire kingdom heard about the return of their former King and Queen; so they brought up the issue of who would be the ruler. The parents or the daughters?
