Screen flickers and shows a library and a girl with a medium-pale complexion and elbow-length, straight straw-blonde hair put up in a messy bun with a mechanical pencil behind her ear, sitting down and holding up the camera in selfie mode. She wears faded jeans and a black t-shirt that says 'You Matter!' along with some other words that are too small to see. She smiles at the camera.
Girl: Hi! I'm Platinum! Some of you may know me from FanFiction, or maybe Wattpad... but anyway, I thought maybe you guys would like to have a look into our life here at Camp Misce! I know I haven't really updated my other story(s) and I'm sorry for that, but personally? *looks around* *whispers* I think it's Piper's fault for not being able to describe things properly. *claps hands and says normally* But, let's get back to the matter at hand!
Platinum stands up, still carrying the camera in selfie mode.
Platinum: *walking* So, as some of you may know, Camp Misce is a little more secure than the other two camps. It was originally made as sort of a... safe place for the few Romans and Greeks who believed in peace. It has top-notch security and extra-strength monster proof barrier! The only way in is underground through a tunnel, though we've managed to install a few electric lights down there to make it less spooky. To get into the tunnel, you have to have a code that changes daily, and it's sent to you via... Aureuses? Drachmas? Honestly I'm not too sure... I'll have to ask Emerald later... Anyway so it's sent to you via these coins!*shows a coppery coin to the camera* It actually works a lot like those coins from Harry Potter, you know? The ones Hermione enchants for the D.A.? Well they work pretty much like those.
Platinum is now walking outside in the daylight.
Platinum: *spreads her free arm out wide* We also have top-notch Wi-Fi! Topaz, the present head of the Hephaestus/Vulcan cabin, found a way to make monster-proof technology! It's mostly laptops and tablets right now, but we're working on it!
Platinum walks a bit farther.
Platinum: This place works a bit like a spy agency, mostly because before, that's kind of what it was. Platinum isn't my real name, neither is Topaz's. They're kind of code names. Most of us don't know each other's real names. It's shown to be a great show of trust to tell someone your real name here. *pauses* Why do we do this? Well, we all have different reasons. Some of us are fished out of the Lethe, so we don't remember our real names in the first place. Some of us are on the run or something, and want to protect our identities. Some of us do it to protect our mortal families. And some of us? *shrugs* We're just along for the ride. *grins* It's become kind of a tradition, anyway.
Platinum reaches the edge of a lake, where she sits down on the shore, the waves lapping up against well worn light blue hightops.
Platinum: Misce means 'mixed' in Latin. It represents how the camp has a mix of Greek and Roman, and nobody really cares. There's no discrimination here! *chuckles* We probably have one of the most diverse communities in the world right here, but in the end? We're all family. It's amazing, really.
Platinum sits there quietly for a moment, then gets up from the sand.
Platinum: Well, I might as well introduce you guys to the gang!
Cut to a tall, lanky auburn haired boy with lots of freckles in light blue jeans and a plain white T-shirt tied up in a wheeled spinny chair with gold rope.
Platinum (behind the camera): This is my idiot brother Dragonfly.
Dragonfly: Hey!
Platinum: Whatever, you know it's true. He's 15 years old, a year older than me. He's bit of a trickster, always playing pranks. He usually has a new crush every week, though recently he's had an eye on a certain someone... Though his wit is slow, his hands are quick, and he can steal pretty much anything. He's usually rather optimistic. *grins* He was always a bit of the class clown at our old school. The reason he's tied up is... *glances at Dragonfly, who mouths no* ...a prank gone wrong. Son of Hermes.
Dragonfly: *grins lopsidedly* Great to meet you all? I guess?
Cut to a girl with a medium complexion and knee length dark brown hair in a braid that fades from almost black at the roots to brown in the middle to dark gold at the tips, wearing a silvery jacket and a pair of golden headphones on her neck, in front of a electric keyboard. She smiles softly and waves at the camera.
Platinum: This is Amber, one of my best friends! She's a daughter of Apollo, and has inherited his gifts of song, light, and prophecy! She likes to write too, and usually comes up with many great ideas! She's pretty quiet though, and doesn't like meeting new people. She's pretty smart, though sometimes... *sweatdrops* she doesn't act like it...
In the background, Amber cries out from 'accidentally' walking into a shelf, having already wandered off.
Cut to a slender Asian girl with black hair going a few inches below her shoulders training with a gold sword.
Platinum: This is Goldie, our Praetor! She's a daughter of Mercury, and she's really brave and is really athletic. Our most fearsome warrior, and a very loyal friend too!
Goldie wipes her brow, smirks and gives a two fingered salute to the camera.
Cut to a skinny Latina girl with wavy hair tied up in a ponytail, wearing a faded green shirt knotted at the hip and denim cutoffs and thigh high tan lace-up boots, and welding goggles working at a forge. When she sees the camera, she hurriedly throws an old sheet over whatever she was working on, then grins widely and finger-guns the camera.
Platinum: This is Topaz, our mechanical genius and head of the Hephaestus/Vulcan Cabin. She's got a crazy sense of humor, and can make anyone laugh. She's loyal and trustworthy, but she can pull the most amazing pranks! She is currently... Topaz, when's your birthday?
Topaz: July 7th!
Platinum: So you're 16 now? Wow, I guess I missed your birthday! Sorry!
Topaz: No worries!
Cut to all five of them standing in front of a forest, with the camera set up in front of them.
Platinum: While they're not the entire camp-
Dragonfly: Duh.
Platinum: -these are the guys I usually hang out with. Well, that concludes episode 1! Say bye everyone!
Dragonfly/Topaz/Goldie: BYE!
