Nathalie, despite being due to give birth any day now, was still working just as rigorously as if she wasn't pregnant at all. Gabriel had taken more responsibility when he found out his wife was pregnant but no matter what Gabriel did, he couldn't get Nathalie to take a day off.
Gabriel looked up from his latest sketch to make sure Nathalie was still alright. She stood up and stretched a little bit before sitting back down. He looked back down and continued to add details to his design.
"Shit!" Nathalie suddenly swore.
Swearing wasn't unusual for Nathalie in the workplace, especially when she dealt with a difficult client or the biggest bitch of all, Audrey Bourgeois.
"What's wrong love?" Gabriel asks, not bothering to glance up, she was fine ten seconds ago.
"My water just broke!" Nathalie exclaims.
"Relax, I'll just buy you another one, it's no big deal," Gabriel insists.
"No, Gabriel," Nathalie rolls her eyes, "my water just broke. The baby is coming, we need to get to the hospital."
"Oh shit!" Gabriel agrees.
It's not that Gabriel didn't want the child but he had messed up so much with Adrien, he wasn't sure he even deserved another chance. Gabriel tried to calm his breathing, he wasn't the one giving birth, he needed to be in a proper mental state for Nathalie if nobody else.

"Why is this taking so long!?" Gabriel exclaims pacing the hospital room.
Nathalie had been in labor for over eight hours now and wasn't fully dilated yet. He panics, Emilie was only in labor for eight hours.
"Mr. Agreste, why don't you take a seat, I think you are stressing out your wife," a nurse suggests setting a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't touch me!" he snarls, "I'm fine."
"Sir, your breathing is rapid and I assume your blood pressure is rather high. You might just want to try and take some deep breaths," the nurse says, a little taken back by Gabriel's attitude.
"I know what I'm doing!" Gabriel insists.
"Labor for first-time mothers is typically a minimum of eight hours, your wife and child are completely fine right now and are both doing great," another doctor tries explaining.
Gabriel takes a deep breath. He's doing it for Nathalie, and for his child who will be coming into the world soon. Adrien sent a long text explaining how he wouldn't make it to the hospital for a few hours still. Adrien told his father that he would be a great one to his unborn child. Maybe it was time for Gabriel to start believing that.
Soon enough though, Allison, their beautiful baby girl, is swaddled in a hospital blanket, and is handed to Nathalie. Her curious blue eyes stare up at her mom. She cries a little and Nathalie slowly rocks her and mumbles sweet things under her breath. Gabriel knows he loves the two women unconditionally.
"Want to hold her?" Nathalie asks.
Gabriel takes their daughter from her arms. Holding her for the first time Gabriel already knows he is willing to do anything for her. He isn't going to mess this up, he was lucky enough for Adrien to forgive him, he isn't screwing it up again. Gentle knocking on the door signals Adrien's arrival.
"So do I have a brother or a sister?" he asks.
"Meet your sister Allison Agreste," Gabriel says and hands the child to her brother.
"Sancoeur- Agreste," Nathalie corrects, "I hyphenated my last name and I think we should hyphenate hers too."
"Allison Sancoeur- Agreste," Gabriel agrees, Nathalie always has her way, it isn't worth fighting.
"She's adorable," Adrien says.
*three years later*
"Gabriel," Nathalie scolds as he starts to leave a hickey on her neck.
"Yes, yes, I know, Adrien and Marinette are coming over in an hour and Ally is sleeping," Gabriel groans.
"I was actually going to say I wanted to take you up on an offer from three years ago."
"You're going to have to be a little more specific Nath."
"You said you were going to buy me a new 'water'," Nathalie smirks thinking about it now.
"You're really going to bring that up now?"
"I want to try for another child, I know we haven't talked about it much but-"
Nathalie is cut off as Gabriel kisses her. His answer is clear as he pulls off her shirt. He had always promised her whatever she wanted and technically had told her that he would get her a new 'water' and there was only one way for him to do that. He wasn't breaking that promise.
