I do not own Highschool DxD

So let me just start things off by saying that this story is going to be completely different from how the show has interpreted some of the characters. In this story, I'm going to take the roles of Angels, Devils, Vampires, and any other creature and make them play the part they actually are going to play. From the synopsis, this will revolve around Michael the Archangel. So I'm going to try and do my best to imagine how he would usually act than always being nice and joyful.

There will be parts that will be changed from how the show explained it to make things a bit more interesting. They kind of are severe changes that will re-arrange the story around drastically. I will have some elements from Van Helsing, Skyrim, Supernatural, and other unique shows and games.

I know this is another story that came spiraling inside my head, so please do lay down any helpful tips or unique ideas for Michael if he needs to be changed up a bit. I'll try to do my best to incorporate anything that is missing from Michael's character. Just to put in simpler terms, this Michael is going to be serious, no messing around, and a loyal son with a stick up his ass kind of person.

That's all to it for the general background of the story.

Let's dive in.

Chapter 1: The One Who is Like God

The Spring of 1864

The battle between the South and North was getting out of hand with high casualties. Many brothers and fathers have lost their lives fighting what they believed in. Never-ending back and forth gunfire boomed across the lands that rattled the people who lived near the skirmishes that were close to their homes.

War was one of the most authentic ways of making people and nations surrender just to expand their land, gain profit, gain fame, or even try to rule to world. There was always a sense of justice within people when they marched into people's lands and take what was theirs's for themselves. It was the most common human programming when they were slaughtering people for a specific reason.

They just needed a simple valid reason to slaughter anyone during a war. Bodies upon bodies would stack higher than anyone's kill count for the sake of prosperity or fame. No matter how much people wanted to deny their desire for taking another human's life, there was always that lingering thought in the back of their minds where they wanted to be seen they were above another person or nation.

This was common law within everyone, but no one wants to admit such things.

It would be later found out that such thoughts and passions for wars would be the cause of Devils and Demons playing their part to the fullest. Slipping through the cracks that lies and empty promises sounded fulfilling to anyone who was down and broken. This was Lucifer's greatest weapon to use against God. Sending his soldiers to manipulate them to stray them off the path of good.

Even offering them a place in their haven to prosper and gain riches unlike never before just to betray them afterward.

Years upon years with every war that has transpired throughout human history, many would succumb to such desires. Inviting Devils and Demons inside of their homes that ruined many nations and people.

This made a big impact on the people who were worshipping God to start following the ways of Demons and Devils. It would eventually get so out of hand that events that God has foreseen play out would drastically change in ways he couldn't involve himself. His beautiful creation was becoming slaves to Lucifer's armies and crimes to just show that his promise to his father of taking as many people off the path of righteousness.

The people who were devoted to God felt like their prayers were going unanswered. They had no real sense of direction as their minds deteriorated to the point where they turned to Lucifer for help.

His admiration and support were growing and growing while the people who were devoted to God were dwindling.

God had ordered his Angels that they were not to be involved with the human world by any means necessary. He commanded them that their faith will guide them on the right path. His reasoning for this is that he has involved himself for too long where the people kept disobeying him. Stepping in over and over again to fix the problem.

This needed to stop, so he stopped getting involved and let his creation find its way to him on their own with their fate along with their strong sense of beliefs.

It was his way of seeing who were the real believers and who were the ones that weren't.

The battle between the North and the South was getting worse, brutal, ruthless, and even unholy at times. This was mostly happening to the North. God has seen that the battle between the North and the South would end up with the North's victory, but that all changed when the Demons and Devils got involved in the battle which supported the South. His vision of seeing the North's victory changed when the Devils got themselves involved with the South that would win this war completely.

It would always be like this. Every war that has happened, some form of evil entity would appear to intervene in that war.

But the pain of seeing his creation killing each other over something so petty saddened him and infuriated him at times.

Without a second thought, he would have involved himself to stop all this. But Trihexa caught his radar before all this insanity as Heaven needed to be watched if that monstrosity tried to destroy Heaven. He knew it was waiting, lurking, and stalking the perfect moment to show itself.

If he had to hazard a guess, Trihexa would present itself when the battle between Michael and Lucifer happens. Armageddon would be its perfect playground to really start letting itself loose.

A young handsome man that was well built with a towering height walked up to God where he saw that he was letting out a heavy sigh of disappointment. The young man decided to speak up to warrant the attention of God. "Is everything alright, father? You look troubled by something." A very masculine, but gentle voice called out.

God raised his head to look at the man who was approaching him. What he saw was a young man that was in armor-clad angelic combat armor from chest to toe which was made by God himself. He had long golden hair that reached halfway down his back, but on his waist, he had a sword strapped on the side of his waist that had remarkable craftsmanship along with Enochian writing inscribed all over the blade which was sheathed inside of a special kind of sheath that was made of special material. "Michael... Why do you need to ask? You already know what's going on."

"It's Lucifer's little band of misfits again, isn't it?" He asked as he respectfully stood at attention like an obedient soldier.

"Of course... He has sent out his worst Demons to offer the humans power which the North won't stand a chance."

"Father, you do know if you don't do anything, Lucifer is going to make an appearance himself eventually. When that time comes, I will kill him." Michael said with seriousness.

"You know I can't get involved in human affairs. Your chance at fighting Lucifer will come, but now is not the time, my son. The day of armageddon is the time your fight with your brother will happen. So many people have lost their way because of Lucifer's tricks and empty promises. If that isn't enough, this world spawned the unholiest of creatures that the world hasn't seen just yet. I fear that this world which I created will only become a playground for those unholy creatures." God said with sadness.

"I'm not seeing what you're seeing in these humans. How can you have so much faith in them to think that they can overcome Lucifer? You know what miserable tricks he has hidden up his sleeve. I'll gladly watch over them if that is your wish, but to see what you're seeing is just impossible."

God narrowed his eyes as he walked closer to Michael. "Have you heard of the three Holy Relics? The ones that are related to Jesus Christ?"

"I have heard of them. The Grail, the Cross, and the Spear. Is there something I missed?" He asked.

"These three Holy Relics are to be protected at all costs from any human or supernatural entity. I have locked and sealed them away somewhere in the Middle East where no one will be able to find them. If these weapons were to be wielded by Lucifer himself or even a human, would you know what catastrophe the world would suffer?" His father asked him.

"There is just one thing I don't understand... If you have created these weapons called Sacred Gears for humans to possess, why even do it in the first place? You know humans would use that power you granted them would spiral out of control just to cause more wars like the one that is going on now. At times, I think Lucifer might have been right about these humans." Michael commented.

God sighed once more. "You and your brothers and sisters will never understand just why these humans are so special. They have shown me that some have the power to overcome the hardest of tasks to achieve what they want. Their will and resolve are somewhat similar to you, Michael. I wouldn't be able to give you a reasonable explanation where you would be able to understand it."

"That still begs the question as to why you have the Holy Relics in the human world. Why don't you just bring them up to Heaven?"

"I granted you too much power that you're starting to not see the bigger picture. Those relics are to be found by someone that I trust to the fullest that I will explain later. As the Chief Angel, the Commander of Heaven's army, how could you be so blind?"

"Forgive me, father. I am failing to see your image and view of your creation. If you so commanded it, I would go and watch over them as I'll do as I am told."

"Don't worry about it, my son. Asmodeus and the Horsemen of War have appeared to support the South. You understand I can't get involved as that will trigger Trihexa's appearance knowing that I have left Heaven unguarded. I need time to figure out a solution for that beast."

"Do you have any ideas?" Michael asked.

God pinched the bridge of his nose. When he did just that, a sudden idea just popped into his head which can drastically change everything that's happening on Earth. The endless suffering and agony that Lucifer's armies are inflicting could be shifted. Every corner he looked, there was always an evil entity that tried to do something out of proportion.

"Raphael!" God called out, but not even seconds fly by before Raphael appeared next to Michael.

"You called for me, father?"

"There is an idea I conjured up, but it's going to be difficult. I have a special mission for you, Michael, so be on your guard wherever you go."

"What do you wish to ask of me, father?" Michael stood at attention.

"You're going to the human world..."

Michael and Raphael were perplexed by what their father just said. Raphael was about to say something, but God raised his hand which made him slouch back.

"I have seen your remarkable skills and talents first hand, Michael. The evil's of the world need to be vanquished and cleansed, so this mission requires you to protect those people who have been caught in Lucifer's mess. Eliminate the mess that he has spawned to the fullest you can do. Hiding your real identity while working with humans to remove Lucifer's forces completely from Earth." God explained.

"Father, how can I do such a thing if you wished for us to not expose ourselves to the humans? There is no possible way for me to hide my powers from anyone who can sense magic." Michael questioned.

"I already thought of a solution for that. As the Prince of the Heavenly Host, my Commander of Heaven's forces, Raphael will take that mantle temporarily while you are in the human world cleansing the wickedness of Lucifer and his forces." God said.

Michael and Raphael looked at each other before turning to their father. "If that is your command, I will not doubt your words." Michael obeyed.

"Gabriel!" God called out.

Not seconds go by as a beautiful voluptuous woman appeared beside her brothers. She had long curly golden blond hair as her body was radiating with light. God was staring at the three Archangels as he was deep in thought for a bit.

"You called for me, father?" Gabriel asked most politely.

"Michael is going to the human world which will leave Heaven without a leader. I have to go and figure out a way to deal with Trihexa, so I'm going to go speak with Great Red. Raphael will be taking temporary command of Heaven while I and Michael are gone. What I want from you is to go to the first layer of Heaven and take Uriel with you to defend the gates until I return."

Gabriel bowed her head to acknowledge his words before taking leave to do just as she was commanded.

God turned his attention towards Michael. "Listen closely, my son. When you reach Earth, there is someone you need to find. He is a Messenger of God, or a Prophet if you wish to call it that. He knows the Holy Relics and is the only human who can properly wield those relics. Forty-eight hours ago, I lost contact with him. If Lucifer has gotten hold of him, I fear the worst."

"Understood, father. I'll try to locate him, but how do you suppose I locate him?" Michael wondered.

"You will feel a similar presence that is matching my powers slightly."

"Is he the one that needs to locate these relics?"

"Indeed... He is the one that can properly wield those sacred weapons."

"Very well."

With that, God pressed his index and middle finger against Michael's forehead which generated a bright light before it died down to reveal Michael has lost his halo and his superior angelic powers. He looked up at his father to ask for some kind of explanation.

"Michael, this is going to be your mission for as long as possible. You're going to go down to the human world and live amongst the humans as one. Your powers have been sealed away, so all angelic powers you hold are sealed away completely. No supernatural entity will be able to detect if you are some kind of Angel. There will be some people who may know you from knowing you personally, but other than that, you should be in the clear." He began to explain.

"Father... How would I regain my powers if I'm in a situation where escape is not possible?" Michael questioned.

"I'm getting to that. You will go to Earth and remove all the Demons and Devils from the world while retaining the illusion of being a human. If this continues, the armies of Lucifer will only worsen as time goes on. You have been constantly wondering what I have been seeing in humans, so you will go and experience this for yourself where you will experience the lives of humans with your own eyes and hands."

Michael looked confused by this mission he was being given, but his father commanded that he did not dare go against it.

"You may keep your sword, but know this... The moment you unsheathe your weapon, the seal I bestowed upon where it hides your angelic side and powers will be undone. Only draw your weapon when it is necessary. You are still not to expose yourself to humans no matter the cost. To humans, that weapon will look like an ordinary sword as the sheathe will seal the true power of that sword I have crafted for you."

"What do you want me exactly to do? Where do you want me to go?" Michael questioned.

"That's your mission, my son. This path is a journey you have to understand yourself without my guidance, but at the same time, remove any evil or wickedness that is making people stray off the path." God began to walk around within the Garden of Eden. Michael followed behind as he was seeing his father make the garden bloom with his aura that was radiating beyond imagination. "Oh! I nearly forgot." He turned around and snapped his fingers.

Michael's armor he had was gone as it was replaced by expensive clothing that the humans wore. He had a blue buttoned-up canvas collard work vest on that was over a white buttoned-up shirt. Over that, he had a black overcoat that reached all the way down to the back of his knees. His pants matched his overcoat which he also had dress shoes on that were also the same color as his pants and overcoat.

"Now you're playing the part." His father said to him with a smile.

Out of know where three Angels came running in to inform their father of what is going on. "Dracula has gotten himself involved with Lucifer's forces! His army is expanding without any clear stop! He is turning Confederate soldiers into Vampires!" One of the Angels yelled out.

This made God narrow his eyes. He knew what this meant as the tides of this war are going to change soon. Lucifer's rebellion which led Michael to banish him from Heaven was locked away in the Underworld. Certain key ingredients needed to happen for the gates of Hell to open up for Lucifer to roam the world freely.

The wars that have transpired over the ages were always for a reason which the Demons and Devils were trying to use for their own gain to unlock the gates of Hell. Now that Dracula and his forces have shown themselves after all this time has changed the playing field. God knew what they were looking for, but he has locked them away far away where no one would be able to find them.

Those Holy Relics are to be found by the Prophet to wield himself. The Holy Relics are the most powerful weapons he has to offer to humans, but it was for the chosen one which he gifted a specific human the vision and knowledge of God.

These sacred relics were one of the things that he wasn't going to allow Lucifer to have.

"It's time for you to go. When you arrive on Earth, you will no longer have contact with me or anyone else." With those final words, God sent him on his way as Michael disappeared and reappeared on Earth's soil.

Just like that, Michael's journey has begun. He inspected the area he was in to see that he was not far out from a nearby settlement. Giving himself a good pat down to make sure everything was alright, he felt that his sword was still strapped to his waist. The atmosphere he was intaking felt extremely weird for him since he was now living the role of a human, but he wouldn't complain as this was his father's orders.

Gunfire was heard in the distance as the war was still raging on. The battle between the South and North was getting out of hand which he wanted to intervene and stop this useless fighting, but his father has commanded him to not show his true self to the humans.

He was about to take his first step before a carriage came flying by him. "Watch yourself!" The driver shouted at him.

The carriage had small windows inside of them which he was able to make out two figures inside. They were both beautiful women as he would admit this to himself, but there was an odd feeling he was having when the carriage just passed by him. For some unusual reason, it felt like the figures inside were staring at him.

He decided to ignore this before heading towards the town that was in his sights. When he arrived in town, it was quite busy as marketers, blacksmiths, businessmen, and even local law enforcement were running around doing their own mundane things that the humans usually did every day.

Michael's expression wasn't that of joy or annoyance, but it was like he was there on a business trip and nothing else. It would soon turn out that the locals of the place were keen on Michael's appearance and his clothing. They were speculating if he was some rich person that was interested in doing business in this small town, but they all kept their respectful distance from him.

Women would steal glances over at him at how handsome he looked. They were describing him as if he was made in Heaven.

Michael needed answers, directions, or some kind of general idea of what he needs to do. A war was being fought not far from here that Demons and Devils were trying to use for their own gain. He understood why his father didn't want to get involved in this war with the Devils as it would spark a conflict beyond control that could harm the humans to extinction.

So as he was walking past a building, he immediately stopped when he saw the building he walked past. It was a tavern that sounded like people were arguing inside. Without any hesitation, he decided to walk inside the tavern. The moment he entered the establishment, all eyes turned to look at him.

Silence enveloped the whole establishment as Michael walked closer to the bar where he saw a young girl that looked like she was in her early twenties serving drinks and food to customers.

Stopping at the front of the bar, he pulled out a stool before taking a seat. The silence was gone as people began to talk once more where he decided to listen to the conversations. "Hey! Fuck you! You owe me after finding you a woman!" One of the drunk bastards said.

"This war is nothing but shit if you ask me. The Union's armies are being pummeled left and right as it's looking like it's going to be bad for the Union. The Confederacy is plowing through the North's defenses like no tomorrow. Haven't you heard that some of the soldiers were shot three to four times in the chest and they haven't died? What do you think of that?"

"What?! What bullshit did you hear this time?" His friend asked.

He raised his hands in a defensive manner that showed it was just speculated rumors that such events happened. "I don't know... One of the injured soldiers from the Union was brought back from eh frontlines screaming 'They're Devils! They're all fucking Devils!' So what the Hell do you think he meant by that?"

"President Abraham Lincoln isn't going to like this when he hears about this."

This conversation he was picking up was exactly what his father explained to him, but another conversation that was sparked up caught his attention which really made him listen.

"Did you hear about the recent rumors?"

"What recent rumors?"

"Look... This may sound crazy, but a couple of miles from here, some Union soldiers found a pit of dead bodies that were filled to the brim."

"Why is that weird? We're at war with the South, so it makes sense to dump bodies during a war like this when you don't have time to bury them."

"I wasn't done explaining. When the Union soldiers took them out of the grave, they found on all the bodies that all their hearts were surgically removed, and on their backs, there was a pentagram engraved onto their backs with some weird-ass writing which looked demonic. Whatever shit was going down over there, I don't want to be near it."

His friend looked bewildered at the news he was hearing which also made him respond with something weird as well. "That reminds me, did you hear about some of the people that have gone missing in this town? People are saying that around midnight, people have started to go missing for some apparent reason. Just with a snap of a finger, they have disappeared from the face of the Earth."

"You think it's that brothel?"

"I wouldn't be surprised since word of two new females arriving at the place. Strange rumors have been speculating around that place, so I avoid that place as best as possible."

Michael's focus was brought back when the woman behind the bar was asking him a question. "What would you like?" She asked a second time as the first didn't register for him.

He looked at her for a second before giving her a reply. "I'm not here to drink or eat. There is something I wish to ask you, so I was hoping you could give me an answer." Michael said this with a very serious yet relaxing tone.

"Sorry, buddy. I'm not going to go out with you even if you look rich and handsome."

Michael looked a bit annoyed after hearing that. "You should listen to what I have to say before thinking that I was going to ask you out."

She looked at him to see he was serious. His face didn't falter when saying that while also showing no signs of interest in her like the rest do when they stumble inside this tavern. Cleaning a mug, she kept her focus on the man in front of her.

"Would you perhaps know if there are any weird events that have popped up around this place? Anything of real significance that really stands out to you?"

"Why are you asking?" She questioned whilst narrowing her eyes.

"I'm a private investigator that is digging into strange disappearances." He lied to keep up the appearance of being a human, so he wouldn't stand out like a sore thumb.

The man that was sitting next to him started to burst out in laughter. Michael didn't turn his head as he kept his focus on the young girl before the man next to him started to speak up. "If you want something weird to investigate, you should check out the church at the end of town. I'm going, to be honest with you, young man. That place is fucked up. That is no church where people can gather to speak the righteous ways of God. That's a fucking cult."

The young woman let out a sigh before the man continued. "We didn't much care of what was happening over there until we heard some weird chanting that was coming inside that place and it was not from the Bible. It sounded rough, ancient, even..."

"Demonic," Michael said without faltering.

She was surprised to see he wasn't joking when he said that. People would have thought she was crazy if she were to say that. Rumors of Vampires started to float across town which wasn't a good thing for the residents that lived there.

Some people thought that they were insane for thinking that such supernatural creatures existed.

Michael needed to remove the presence of any demonic creature that was hindering these people from praying and showing their faith in God. He couldn't just unsheathe his sword to remove the seal that was keeping him human as it would expose him. That leads to another problem since he can't expose himself to humans either as this was his father's command. He had no magic either that could help him, but he still retained his incredible strength.

Unable to use magic would lead him to understand that there will be no possible way to call reinforcements if things got out of hand that required an Angel presence.

"That's about right." She said.

"Very well, I'll go and have a chat with them." Michael was about to get out of his seat before the man next to him made him sit back down.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"To have a chat with them. Do you have a problem with this?" Michael asked as he was starting to get serious as anyone obstructing the mission that was given to him by God would be punished.

"Look, man. You can do whatever you want, but that church is a bit strict. You can't enter it because you need an invitation to even enter the church. I wouldn't go anywhere near that place if I were you. This may sound insane, but I could have sworn that one of them had glowing eyes." The man said.

The woman pulled something out from under the bar that was revealed to be a bible. "Whatever you plan to do, just take this with you if you plan to go to the church. Even if you don't plan to go and just want to stay here, just keep this on you at all times. I have a spare one in my bedroom. This town has been seeing some weird stuff lately that can't even be explained." When she said this, the sound of multiple carriages outside was rolling up into town.

"Oh, my God!" A female screamed at the top of her lungs.

Everyone inside of the tavern rushed out to see what the commotion was about.

When they reached outside, they saw wounded Union soldiers that had serious damages and bruising. But some had their hearts completely surgically removed that also had the same pentagram on their back that was engraved.

Michael took the bible and tucked it away inside of his overcoat before slowly exiting the tavern to also see what the commotion was about. What he saw as the same thing the two people were talking about earlier has most likely transpired over the course of the battle that was not too far from here.

He wasn't fazed by this as he scanned the area around him to capture anyone looking suspicious.

In the corner of his eye, he noticed that some of the ladies that were by the brothel were glancing over at him with keen interest. They waved and blew him kisses that kept his attention on them. A bad vibe was generating off of them ever the first time he made eye contact with them in the carriage.

At the end of the day, he had to continue on his journey. Staying here with the people gossiping over dead and injured Union soldiers wasn't going to get him anywhere. He needed to investigate this town about the cult he was informed about at the church, the brothel with the strange vibes he was getting, and the dead people who had their hearts removed with a pentagram engraved on their backs.

His first stop was going to be the brothel, so he left the area to head over to the establishment to get acquainted with the residents that were there. The two ladies that were outside captured him making his way in the direction of the brothel.

They smiled mischievously and immediately scrambled on over back to the establishment.

Michael pushed open the doors as the aroma of sex, aphrodisiacs, and the strong smell of wine flourished in this place. Any person would succumb to the aroma of this place and immediately try to get into someone's pants without patience.

Michael, on the other hand, was an Archangel that was pretty high up in the ranks. The commander of Heaven's army, so petty things like this didn't affect him.

Heading over to the front desk, he spotted a very young beautiful woman with perfect blonde hair that looked extremely well maintained. Her eyes were red that shined brightly when darkness struck over her.

"Greetings, young sir. How can we help you today?" She asked with a captivating smile.

"Greetings, madam. I was wondering if you know anything about the church in this town?"

"The church?" She asked while cocking her head to the side.

"Yes, the church. Do you know anything about it?" Michael asked again.

"I'm afraid not. I'm not religious like some of the people in this town."

"I see... If you don't know anything about the church, do you know anything else that seems a little offsetting or unnatural? Any type of information you provide me could be of use."

She squinted her eyes and entered a thinking state which she couldn't think of anything strange. "Sorry, I haven't caught anything interesting."

This made Michael mad that no one knew anything real specific that could help him with his journey. He couldn't get much information from her, so he turned around to head out to gain more information on the church. Before he could leave, the lady behind the front desk took hold of him.

He was confused as to why she would suddenly take hold of his arm. He brushed her arm off of him until giving her his undivided attention once more.

"Where are you going? Aren't you going to take one of the rooms? We have excellent rooms with a balcony if you wish to have a great view. The wine we sell here is top of the notch along with the women that we have if you wish to be accompanied. All of them were handpicked by me, so how about taking a room for the night?" The lady tried to get him to take one of the rooms.

"Sorry, I don't have the money." That was all he said before taking a few steps until multiple figures blocked his way. They were under some kind of hypnosis, so he turned around to face the woman behind the desk.

"Trying to be nice just to get you to stay here didn't work, but using the aroma of this place to make you think with your lower half than your upper half didn't work either surprised me. That brought me to three conclusions. You're either a part of the catholic church, a spy for the enemy, or a supernatural being. So which one is it?" When those words left her mouth, more women appeared in the room as the doors behind him got locked up.

Some of the women in the room licked their lips in hunger which anticipated that he would taste wonderful.

"Vampires," Michael said out loud without faltering.

"Ohhhhh... You're pretty calm after coming to that realization. Now I'm convinced that you are a part of the catholic church. Was it the Archbishop who sent you?" She asked.

Michael was an intellectual person that was superior in many forms of combat. He was the champion of Heaven as no one could best him in combat that caught his father's eyes. Everyone respected him as he was the strongest amongst all the Angels which God granted him the title of Chief of Angels whenever he wasn't there to command them. Some of the Angels would even whisper amongst them saying that Michael would be glued to God no matter where they went.

He was everywhere wherever God was. Every command he was given, Michael would have done it swiftly without hesitation or doubt. Every order he was given, he always thought it was the absolute holiest of missions. Even if it is the smallest of orders, he would carry it out.

Lucifer was an enemy that contaminated the precious creations of his father. He would go so far as to create monsters like Vampires to go against God and his wishes. This act drastically became a failure when some Vampires supported Lucifer's goals like Dracula's faction while the other half didn't support Lucifer's ideals and goals.

Michael was a being that stood true to people that were righteous and loving of his father. So seeing undead creatures in front of him was just one of the things that his father didn't allow, but it was also against his and his father's code. Bringing people back to life because of dark arts was a sin, a terrible sin in their books that deserve to be punished.

"Devious undead creatures that were spawned from Lucifer's creation will be punished in the name of God. All of his followers will be eradicated from this world until it has been purified of all devious sin."

The lady had a confused look which made her look at him with an unusual expression. "Followers of Lucifer? What are you going on about? We're not followers of him."

Michael was about to start exterminating the undead before the girl screamed out to him. "Are you an exorcist?! A priest?!"

"I don't need to answer the questions of an undead spawn of Lucifer and his dark arts."

Before he could strike, the words she spewed out made him stop in his tracks.

"We're against Dracula and his supporters!" She screamed out.

Michael was now confused. He knew that his brother incorporated Dracula's forces to help him but to hear that she was against Lucifer's and Dracula's code really shifted the playing fields. "What are you talking about?" Michael asked.

She swallowed some of her spit before explaining the situation to him. "We're having a Civil War amongst us, but Lucifer and his armies of Demons and Devils have outnumbered us drastically. We're in hiding right now because one of Lucifer's most loyal subjects have surfaced into the human world, so we took residence here to gather up a force to strike back against him." She explained to him.

"Aren't you aiding the church and their crazy cult group?" Michael had to ask.

"What? No... Those people aren't even closely related to us. We even don't know what's going on in that church. This town is going to be taken over by Confederate soldiers soon. The Union is failing miserably since Demons are supporting the Confederacy." She said.

"Why are Lucifer's forces trying to make a name for themselves with the humans? He is playing his part well, but the question we need to ask ourselves is why? Why is he standing on the side of humans if despises them so much?" Michael asked.

"We're not sure what he is really going for, but slavery could be one of the reasons why he is supporting them. If they win, they will be in an enslaved world with their faction taking command of the circumstances. They will consume the human world for their own profit to develop their influence and assets. That's why Dracula's forces are on Lucifer's side because that is what they want. A world where human slaves will forever be shackled and be endless blood bags for the Vampires." She explained.

Michael was now seeing the bigger picture. This whole front of supporting slavery was only an illusion on the outside. Their real objective isn't really slavery since the Vampires are aiming for that, but this whole war between the South and the North is for him to find ways to supply the humans with demonic weapons that are siding with him.

He was utterly confused by what his brother was aiming for except for the Holy Relics.

This realization dawned on him that this whole operation that Lucifer has going is no simple matter that God explained to him. He was planning something big that will change the course of this whole operation and the world for years to come.

If the Confederates won, then the entire nation would be a slave-trading nation. If that happens, they will eventually expand outwards to other countries before the whole world is under their dominion.

With the state he was in now, there wouldn't be any way possible for him to go up against an army of Vampires, Demons, and Devils without revealing himself. What he needed was a force to stand up against Lucifer and his army. A rebellion of some sorts. Even though he would be going against his father's code, he had to try and enlist the Vampires that were against Lucifer and Dracula's codes.

"If you hate Dracula and Lucifer just as much as I do, then I can work with you in that matter to stop the occupation of Demon and Devil forces in this area." Michael blurted out.

The woman scoffed before laughing at his ridiculous suggestion. "Are you stupid or something? What can you and my small group of Vampires do against one of Lucifer's Generals and the Horsemen of War? Do you not understand what misery those two can unfold when working together?"

He stood there listening to what she was saying.

"I don't know if you are a part of the catholic church, but if you even are and you are an exorcist or a priest, what can you do? This is Lucifer we are talking about. His army consists of Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Leviathan who are his Generals, but underneath them are Lucifer's most favored soldiers. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are aligned with Dracula's forces. What can we do? The catholic church is becoming completely power-hungry with power as they are straying off their path more and more."

Michael looked down at her before explaining something to her. "I understand the fear you have because Lucifer and his army are a threatening force that no supernatural being would dare to go against without properly conjuring up a strategy. Trust in me, and I will guide you to safety. But before anything, can you tell me once more without keeping anything back, have you seen anything out of the ordinary in this town?"

"No... The only strange thing about this town is the church. We haven't gotten close to that place since it's a place where unholy beings can't even enter if they wanted to. As we are undead creatures, we wouldn't be able to enter that place." She said.

Michael pulled out the bible that was tucked inside of his overcoat which caused all the Vampires to take a massive step back. A feeling of uneasiness overwhelmed them as a strange aura was coming off the bible that he was holding.

"This church is always a subject that gets brought up, I'm going to go see what the big deal is, so give me some time before we begin preparations against Dracula and Asmodeus." He said as he was about to leave once more before being stopped again.

"Hold on a second! You never gave me your name. If we're going to work together, we should at least exchange our names, isn't that proper protocol for people who work together?"

"That seems reasonable in my book." He said.

"My name is Valerie, Valerie Tepes."

"Michael." With that, he left the brothel to go investigate the church.

Scene Break

The sounds of screams enveloped the room as hundreds of people have been chained up against the walls. They were all shirtless with scarring across their whole abdomen, needle punctures in their necks, and small pentagram engravings on their backs. One by one, the people who were chained up against the wall were being experimented on.

When a scalpel cut through their skin, some of the people lost consciousness.

Confederate soldiers were constantly beating the people who were chained up against the wall if they tried to show defiance or any other kind of rebellious action. Some of the soldiers were jotting down every bit of information that was going down. Soon after, a demonic pentagram appeared in the middle of the room before a female showed up.

"Lady Abbadon, what brings you here?" The Confederate Captain asked that was overseeing this small operation.

"How is this project coming along? Lord Asmodeus is expecting some kind of progress with your work." She said.

"All of them are highly incompatible with the concoction we have created. Their blood isn't synthesizing well with the ingredients you have given us. Two outcomes always happen when they are given this special concoction. They either start having a seizure until their insides completely liquidate into some kind of substance or they tend to turn into a beast that is completely monstrous and has lost all sense of control." The Captain explained.

"The Demon blood we have provided you and your men should have at least given us some good results, but everything you just told me is leading us nowhere. What's the point in making super soldiers if you can't properly create one with the resources we have provided for you?" Kuisha questioned.

"The Vampires and Werewolves you have given us can't properly sync with the Demon blood. It's highly unstable which leads to the outcomes I have just explained."

Kuisha didn't like seeing how they made very little progress. She needed some kind of good result.

"Lady Abaddon... What if we were to use angelic blood instead of demonic?"

"That wouldn't be possible."

"Why is that?"

"There isn't any Angels we can capture and use their blood. Lord Lucifer explained to us all that the Angels are keeping themselves locked away in Heaven because of God. He has a plan that we're following, so you better hurry up and find a compatible patient who can take in Demon blood before we shut this operation down by you becoming one of the test subjects." Kuisha threatened him.

"We have exhausted all the resources we could use to capture these creatures. Most of our resources are supporting our men who are fighting in the war. Besides, we're running out of test subjects." The Captain pointed out.

As there conversation that was just going back and forth that ended up nowhere, another magical pentagram appeared which spawned another demonic being. "Abaddon, what is going on here? Lord Asmodeus is seeking answers on the progress of these experiments. You know how short his temper is." A tall and muscular man demanded answers while approaching them.

Kuisha lowered her head at the appearance of the man who was standing in front of her. "Lord Diehauser Belial, our progression in producing super soldiers have come to be a slight problem. As the Captain here has explained to me, all of them eventually get liquidated or go feral with no possible conclusion as to why their blood and Demon blood can't be compatible." She began to break down the report to her superior officer.

Diehauser wasn't much for experimentation, but this was one of Asmodeus' enjoyments. He was also one of Lucifer's Generals that he couldn't simply defy him if he even wanted to. Even if he could, it would be nearly impossible since one of the Four Horsemen is accompanying Asmodeus on this expedition to wipe out the Union soldiers.

"Lord Belial, do you have any suggestions?" Kuisha asked.

"Don't bother asking me since I don't know any of this. I have a meeting with Lord Asmodeus and the Horsemen of War. I'll inform him of the results you have provided me, so continue with your work and continue to provide the data you receive. This will all go to Lord Asmodeus, of course."

"As you wish, Lord Belial."

Diehauser left them and teleported himself to a lookout where Asmodeus, the Horsemen of War, and General Robert E. Lee were around a round table. Asmodeus noticed Diehauser's entrance and ushered him to come closer.

"Dihauser, how have you been?"

"The same, my Lord."

"That doesn't matter at this point, so I want to explain something to you along with everyone that is here. The Confederacy here is one of our greatest assets in procuring many of the Union's territory. We're about to breakthrough Ohio's defenses here soon, this is what General Robert E. Lee is planning to do. Our men will help them along with Dracula's forces that will veer off to the East towards their capital."

Diehauser crossed his arms while listening to Asmodeus explaining their plan. "Who is taking charge of this assault?" Diehauser asked.

"The Horsemen of War."

Robert E. Lee pointed at a certain point on the map. "This area here holds a small town that is near one of the battles my men are engaging in. The Union's defenses are about to break, so once that happens, my men are going to storm this town. The things you're looking for might be there, Lord Asmodeus." He explained.

Asmodeus joined in. "I hope so... When that happens, this is where you come to play, Diehauser. You and a few of General Robert E. Lee's troops will be stationed in that town to gather as much information you can on the Holy Relics. We need to find those relics before anyone else does. Whatever the Angels are doing, they just seem to be cowering away." He said.

"If I may ask, my Lord. What is special about this town that you want us to govern?" Diehauser asked.

"It's not just that I want you to govern this town and find out information on the Holy Relics. There have been some interesting rumors that some of the Vampires who oppose Dracula's rule are living comfortably in this town. You understand that we need to eliminate anyone who dare opposes, Lord Lucifer." Asmodeus said in a very demonic way that shook Diehauser to the core.

Asmodeus was a loyal soldier that followed anything that Lucifer instructed.

If he had to say, he would assume that he was his most loyal subject that shared Lucifer's vision.

"Where do you plan to go once we break through their line?"

"That is the furthest I planned so far. I was only instructed by Lord Lucifer to break through their lines and establish a presence. General Robert E. Lee is going to continue with his war, but you have your mission. You will have a small force of Demons and Confederate soldiers to help you govern this town."

Diehauser bowed before leaving.

He arrived at a cliff that was overlooking the battle that was leading to the town. There was a clear sign that victory would be in his grasps. If he had to muster up a guess with how the progress is coming along, he would say that in a day or two the Union soldiers would be defeated.

Behind him, a man clad in armor from head to toe stood beside him. "You look like you're deep in thought."

"I am... Did Lord Lucifer send you out here to gather up women or something, Zepar?"

"He wasn't the one who sent me. It was Lord Beelzebub that asked me to make my presence in the human world."

Diehauser scoffed. "Zepar, I know that you don't like humans in the slightest. You hate them more than any other Demon or Devil there is. I don't know what your clan has planned with Lord Beelzebub if you are here in the human world."

Zepar was about to jump in with a response before a voice was heard behind them.

"I see that you gentlemen are enjoying the view here." A woman's voice filled the air.

Zepar turned around to notice it was one of the High-Class nobles that Lucifer himself has much respect for. "Lady Seekvaira Agares, what brings you here on Earth? Shouldn't you be with your father on governing the nobles of the Underworld?" Zepar asked.

She too walked up to them and stood on the other side of Diehauser to look on at the battle. "My father is in a meeting with Lord Beelzebub, the Horsemen of Death, the Horsemen of Famine, the Horsemen of Pestilence, Lady Lilith, and Lord Lucifer himself. I was ordered by Lord Beelzebub and my father to come overseer the situation up here with Lord Asmodeus." She explained.

Diehauser didn't care all too much about why she was here, but he knew that her presence meant something serious is about to happen. "Well... You aren't missing much. The Confederacy with our Demons and Devils are breaking their line of defense piece by piece. General Robert E. Lee along with Lord Asmodeus will begin their assault very soon into Ohio with the Horsemen of War."

"I see..."

"How are Lord Asmodeus' experiments coming along?" Seekvaira was inquisitive.

Diehauser scratched the back of his head. "It's not leading anywhere as all the test subjects end up going feral or liquidating because the blood of Demons or Devils isn't compatible with their blood. At the end of the day, their project is just retracting them back to step one. No clear sign of actual progress."

Zepar was getting a strange sense of what Seekvaira was actually doing here than just overseeing the progression of Asmodeus and his little squadron. "You had me in the first half, Lady Seekvaira, but what are you really doing here? I know without a doubt in my mind that Lord Beelzebub and Lord Lucifer wouldn't send you here just to see how we're coming along."

Her eyes glued to him. "Always the perceptive one, Zepar. I was given the task of removing the exorcists that have been causing quite some trouble lately. The Archbishop is being escorted by these exorcists. This Archbishop holds sensitive information on the location of the Holy Relics and is holding a special woman in their care that could prove very troublesome."

"A woman? Now my interests have really been scratched. Who is this woman?" Zepar asked her.

"I don't know her name. She is a nun that works for the catholic church, so that is why I was sent up here to deal with that problem." She answered.

The Confederate soldiers managed to break through early as the Union soldiers ran away from their posts due to being completely outnumbered. The soldiers pushed deeper into Union territory as they executed every Union soldier they came across.

"Seems like I got a job to do. This excavation we are pouring our resources into is just a waste of time. What we need to do is strike the humans when the frying pan is hot. Not sit on the sidelines and supporting humans." Diehauser expressed his concerns.

"Lord Belial, you should understand that we're not doing this because we want to. This whole operation we have going is to get Lord Lucifer to enter the human world where we can begin what we truly have planned for. If we don't accomplish this any time sooner, the Fallen Angels will gladly take the chance to hold the high ground. Time is precious, so we need to finish this as soon as possible." Seekvaira explained.

He let out a sigh before sliding down the cliff.

A magic communication circle appeared next to Seekvaira's ear. "Seekvaira, this is your father. I was just informed by Lady Lilith that the exorcists and that nun can wait. We have a new target that can change this whole war around drastically for the Confederates."

"Who is my target?"

"The leader of the Union soldiers. President Abraham Lincoln... You have your mission."

"Understood." The communication was cut as she turned to face Zepar. "Round up all the remaining people and bring them in for experimentation."

Zepar nodded his head before seeing her disappear from the area. "What a High-Class bitch."

That's all for the first chapter. As I said at the beginning, this will be pretty different from the actual show and the characters that are in it. There will be changes with a few OC's that will be added in.

Do let me know if I'm missing something. Please leave a review because I want to try and work around your concerns to help me mold this story into something that fits well with your standards. Any review is welcomed as usual.

Before anyone makes a complaint about some of the characters and their roles, I told you that there will be severe changes. I'm taking multiple elements from different shows and games to improve them and their characteristics. As before, any ideas that will make any character in the story better, please shoot that idea my way.

I don't have anything else to say, so do take it easy out there, ciao.
