What if Minato was an adopted Nara, and Shikaku's brother. Naruto having Kyuubi into him goes to live with Shikaku and his Wife. The Curse User Uzumaki
Prologue: A Curse User is Born
"SHIKI FUIN" Minato yelled while clapping his hands together. "Kurama. Help Naruto when you can. Don't show until he is at least 10. Thank you my friend." "Minato! Don't worry I will take care of the kit if no one else does. He will be safe." Kurama says to Minato's dying corpse. Kurama is then sealed into a crying Naruto.
"MINATO! KUSHINA!" Hiruzen Sarutobi the God of Shinobi and the Professor landed at the corpses of the Yondaime Hokage and his wife. "Hiruzen, take care of Naruto, give him to my brother to take care of him. Don't tell anyone what he has inside him, tell everyone I took it to the grave." Minato says in a gravelly voice while spitting up blood. "Please Hiruzen, give him to Shikaku he will know what to do." Minato says while succumbing to death from impalement.
"Inu, Neko secure the area around the site. C-c-cremate them now so no one can steal anything from their bodies." Hiruzen says in a commanding voice you can tell is wavering with sadness. "H-h-hai Hokage-Sama" Inu and Neko reply with voices that are wavering just as much. Hiruzen uses Shunshin to reach his office while Inu and Neko take care of the bodies. Inu and Neko are both breaking down because both their Senseis are dead. "S-s-s-ensei why? WHYYYYYYY?" Inu yells to the sky, with both masks covering his tears, off to the side Neko is doing the same over Kushina's dead body.
At the Council Meeting Place
In the office with Sarutobi he called a meeting with the council. On his right were the Shinobi Clan Heads who were Hiashi Hyuga, Choza Akimichi, Tsume Inuzuka, Shibi Aburame, Shikaku Nara, Inoichi Yamanaka, Fugaku Uchiha, and an empty seat for the Sarutobi clan. On his left was the civilian council who are not going to be named or described because they are useless. On Hiruzen's immediate left was Shimura Danzo, Homura, and Koharu.
"Hokage-sama where is Minato?" Shikaku asks with a worried expression on his usually lazy face. Everyone in the council room knows why he has that face instead of a lazy half-assing expression. The civilians are confused why he sounds the most worried, and Hiruzen is dreading telling Shikaku about Minato's untimely demise.
"Shikaku…. Minato did not make it-" Hiruzen said. When he said that Shikaku's face fell from worried to heartbroken. "But his death was not in vain, he took the Kyuubi to the grave with him after using the Shiki Fuin jutsu to summon a reaper." The rest of the meeting went smoothly and Hiruzen dismissed the Civilian Council but told the Shinobi to stay. "Everyone I have lied about how Minato died." Hiruzen said with a sobered face. "Minato died using Shiki Fuin to seal the Kyuubi into a newborn child." After that was said everyone looked up with surprise.
"Hokage-sama what will you do with the child who hasn't been named yet?" Danzo questioned with a wondering notion.
"The child will be going with his uncle,and his name is Naruto Uzumaki Nara." Hiruzen said with a grin when he saw Shikaku light up with a smile. "Naruto will be under the care of his Uncle and Clan Head Shikaku Nara. Does anyone object to this motion." Hiruzen said with a cold glare at the question he asked.
"Hiruzen I believe-" Danzo started, but paused when Hiruzen shot him a glare and said, "Watch yourself Danzo." "As I was saying before, Hiruzen I believe he should stay with Shikaku but should have training from myself and Shikaku so we can have a strong shinobi for Konoha and the Nara clan gets another strong member. Shikaku will also have to have an heir because while Minato was technically an heir to the Clan Head position, that was only in title. He was not blood of Shikakuma but was adopted by them. So we will train a strong shinobi who can work with us and will become feared around the other nations. Didn't you say that you have a baby boy at home Fugaku?" Danzo finished his opinion with a question towards the Uchiha Clan Head.
While the council room was stunned Fugaku answered the Elder, "Yes I do, Itachi will be trained to be Clan Head and be a strong shinobi. Are you saying you want Itachi and Naruto to be friends and maybe even training partners like me and Minato were?" "Yes. Yes I do." Danzo answered.
Shikaku stood up. He bows to Danzo, Fugaku, and are tears forming in his eyes he starts breaking out, "T-t-thank you for the offer Danzo-sama we will train him to be strong. H-h-hokage-sama thank you for not telling the civilians my relationship with Naruto and the burden he bears. Fugaku please consider the offer Danzo has given you. You and Minato were known as the Kiiroi no Senko (Yellow Flash) and the Jaakuna Akai Me (Wicked Red Eye) or as your duo has been called the Orenji-iro no ha. (Orange Blades) You two were not only rivals, you were best friends and basically brothers. So please maybe your kids will have the same connection." Shikaku pleads to Fugaku and thanks the Hokage and the Elder. Everyone is floored by this declaration and pleading. They all know that Shikaku cared for his family but they did not know how much he did.
"Please stop bowing Shikaku. I will allow Danzo to train him along with you." Hiruzen says with a grin but shoots a glare at Danzo sending an unspoken message. Make him one of your Root and you will pay. "Mikoto would be very upset with me if she wouldn't be able to see her godson. So yes Shikaku they can be friends as infants and hopefully make that bond grow stronger over time." Fugaku said with a classic Uchiha smirk.
"Then I hereby announce that this council meeting is OVER!" Hiruzen bellowed as everyone got up to leave. Shikaku walked up to the cradle which held his nephew, the baby had three whisker marks on each cheek, blood red hair of the Uzumaki with strips of yellow in it, and he had the purplest eyes anyone has seen. "Well let's get you home to your new family little nephew." Shikaku said as he picked up the baby and made funny faces at it.
After walking through Konoha he made it to the Nara compound he opened the door and saw his wife Yoshino standing there. She walked over and gave him a hug asking, "Where's Minato-kun and Kushi?-" Shikaku couldn't look her in the eyes while she let out a sob "-N-no please tell m-me i'm w-wrong Shikaku-kun. S-shikaku please!" Yoshino screams as she hugs her husband and they both let tears fall. While they are both crying a higher pitched wail gets let out from the baby Shikaku has with him. Shikaku breaks the hug and tries to lull the child back to sleep. "W-who's the baby?" Yoshino questions while wiping the tears from her eyes. Shikaku gains a sad smile when she asks that. "This Yoshino, is our new nephew Naruto Nara-Uzumaki, the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. He is our new adopted child." Shikaku finishes as Yoshino hugs the baby to her like a lifeline and starts making funny faces at him.
"Oh aren't you the cutest little thing aren't you. Yes. Yes you are." Yoshino says with puffed up cheeks using a baby voice to talk with little Naruto. The baby Naruto giggled and laughed as he was tickled and played with. "Anyways-" Yoshino says as she stands up, Naruto lets out a little whine. "- what do we want for dinner." She finishes while glomping Naruto after the whine.
"I don't know deciding what to eat is too troublesome." Shikaku says with a yawn. Little Naruto looks like he is trying to say something and making garble noises. "Aww come on say Auntie, say Auntie." Yoshino says when he starts babbling.
"R-r-r. R-r. RAMEN!" Little Naruto yells. "Troublesome he isn't even a day old and has the ramen curse of the Uzumaki, Minato liking it so much doesn't help either. Training a prodigy huh, let's see where you go with my training Naruto." Shikaku says with a smile as everyone goes to sleep.
