Noah was sat down on a bench at the train station. He was wearing a navy blue winter coat fully buttoned up with brown cargo trousers and his usual sneakers.
He was reading a book and occasionally glanced up at the nearby timetable waiting for his train to come. He also looked around a bit as if he was looking for someone.
Where is she? He thought to himself as the time on the board got closer to the estimated time of arrival.
Suddenly he heard the sound of quick footsteps coming towards him. He quickly looked over and saw Izzy running over with a big stack of hotdogs.
She stopped right by him and smirked. "Hey youuu!" she then bit into one of her hot dogs. "Mmm! Tasty!"
She was wearing a long green sweater with black tights and shoes.
"Uh…" Noah raised an eyebrow. "What's with the hot dogs?"
"Ohh I'm just VERY hungry right now. You know it's only been like three hours since I last ate and there was this hot dog stand and this guy with blackish hair gave me a deal with like 10 of them for the price of 5 and I couldn't resist an-"
"Ok ok!" He raised his voice. "I get it, you got hot dogs and now you're fine." he frowned.
She pouted a bit. "Oh, what's up with you ehh? Did I disturb your reading timeee?" she glanced over. "Didn't you read this one already?"
He closed his book. "I didn't bring enough books for our entire trip. Got nothing better to do."
"Well do you want a hot dog?" She smiled.
"I'm good for now." He blinked.
"Okieee!" She sat down next to him and continued eating. "So, when I was over by the hot dog stand I saw this guy with a guitar and he had such beautiful tunes! It got me thinking actually…"
"Of what?" he directed his attention fully to her.
"Well," she smiled. "We should have our own song! Like something that represents us! Like a theme song or something, ooo I could have my own boss theme or something hehe!" She smirked.
"Uhhh… I don't think that's necessary." He blinked.
"Why not? It'll be fun! I could play a bottle or something" she smiled and ate more of her hot dog.
"Ehh… it's whatever really." He looked at her and gave a small smile though as she ate.
After a bit, they could hear the train arriving.
"Oh, here we are" Noah put his book away and stood up. He glanced over at Izzy.
She was asleep and snoring away. Hot dog crumbs all over her with drool dripping from her mouth.
"Hey!" he shouted.
She continued to sleep.
He snapped his fingers in front of her. "Izzy!"
She slept more.
He sighed and shook her. "Wake up the train's here!"
"Woaha awh!" Izzy jumps up. "Oh? What? Oh, train! Yeah, let's go Noah!" She grabbed his hand suddenly and ran towards the train, dragging him along.
"Gah! Izzy slow down! The train just arrived! It's not going to go anytime soon!" he shouted.
"We need to get the good seats though!" She said as she dashed to the train door and dragged him in.
"Ahah!" She dropped him on the train floor.
"Gh.." he got up and dusted himself off. He looked around. He was just in the hallway which led to the carriage seats. The train seemed a bit old fashioned but still was in good working order.
He saw Izzy skipping in the train and flop onto a chair within a booth. "Come Noah boaaa!"
Noah blinked and strolled over. He sat across from her and looked out the window at the train station.
"You sure have weird relatives from across the globe don't you Izzy?" He stated.
"Oh yeahhh! As I said we're visiting my aunt! She would love to see you, I've told her all about you" She smiled.
"Oh?" That caught Noah's attention. He looked at her. "Like what?"
"Oh, you know! How we met on the show, our friendship afterwaaardss, how things got… closeeerrr, how fun it is to be around you as well as our fun adventures!" She smiled brightly.
"Ah.. well" Noah tried to hide a blush. "That's nice. Well I'm sure she is nice"
"Oh yeah, she is! She has this amazing dish which I'd love for you to try"
"What's the dish?" he asked.
She leant over and put her finger on his lips. "Shhh… it's a secret, you'll have to find out when we get there hehe" she smiled cheekily before she leant back.
Noah's blush got stronger.
Izzy noticed and giggled a bit. "You look like a tomato."
"Well… it happens." He got out his book again and proceeded to read.
The train started moving. The acceleration moving Noah slightly.
He glanced around a bit at the carriage and saw it was a bit empty, with plenty of empty seats and only a few people inside. The carriage itself had light blue walls with brown plaited seats. It all looked a bit dusty and rundown.
He watched as the scene changed from a rustic train station to a snowy forest filled with pine trees.
He enjoyed the view. He appreciated it and started daydreaming a little as he watched it.
After a moment he snapped out of it and looked over to where Izzy was only to find she is missing.
Huh… where did she go? Eh, she's probably gone to the toilet or something.
Meanwhile, Izzy was walking around another carriage. She was looking over all the passengers.
No… no.. nooo… ooo!
She saw an elderly man chilling in a booth with a large bag on the table. He was half asleep.
"Heyyy!" Izzy said as she sat down across from him. "Whatcha got there?"
"Gh…" The man widened his eyes a bit and looked at her. He had a grey beard and was wearing a beanie. He was in a full poofy coat.
"Wellll? What's that?" She directed her eyes at the box.
"Hm… not much it's just food and stuff…" the man said rather annoyed.
"Ooo" she just casually opened the box a bit and saw someone inside. "Ooo perfect! Just my luck" she looked at the man who was getting more annoyed. "Can I borrow this? I'll bring it back."
"Whatever…" the man said before he started to doze off again.
She smiled and grabbed what was in the box and then ran off.
Meanwhile, Noah was reading his book again. Flipping through the pages he went into deep thought.
What is she up to right now… It's been a while maybe I should go look for her…
Nah… She's a strong girl, she will be fine.
It's going to be an interesting trip. It's the first time I get to see her more distant family. I hope they like me.
The train went onto a bridge and the scenery changed to a lake with a bunch of islands in the distance.
Huh… The islands… They remind me of our times in camp wawanakwa… where we met.
Hm. She really was an annoying one. Wouldn't stop pestering me. God, I hated that island but... I guess there must've been something about her.
He sighed.
Well. I don't know if I'm stupid by being with her or that there is something more. God knows. Guess I'll find out.
He heard some footsteps come towards him. He looked behind him and saw Izzy walking towards him.
She was holding something and smirking at him.
"Is that… an accordion?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Yup" She smiled and sat across from him.
"Where did you even get that?" he asked.
"Oh, some old guy leant it for me for a moment. It's all good."
Part of me is finding it hard to believe he just leant it to her.
"So why exactly do you have an accordion, can you even play that thing?" He frowned.
"Oh, my aunt taught me! She has one at home."
"And I repeat. WHY do you have it?" He frowned more.
"Well, what else would you do with an accordion? Play it!" She started playing a bit of a tune with it.
The tune being played was fast and cheerful, she smiled brightly as she played. Noah simply watched with a continued raised eyebrow.
"Oh don't look so confused! It's fun!" she smiled more and played. "Or.. would you prefer it a little…" she slowed down. "Slower…"
The tune she played was much more drawn out and slow, she smirked a bit as she played and noticed Noah had closed his eyes.
"Oh… you like that huh?" She smiled.
"Oh uh... I guess" He blinked.
"Don't lie to me Noah boa. Just close your eyes and relax."
"Hmm... " He closed his eyes as she continued playing. The sound soothing him a bit. His body relaxed.
The song felt a bit nostalgic but unique, bringing him back to his childhood days.
The song had a mixture of both soothing and relaxing tones that he enjoyed but also had a nice twist with parts that reminded him of the wacky and crazy antics that Izzy does.
It felt really like a mix between their 2 worlds.
She inspected Noah as he sat there enjoying the tune.
She continued to grin brightly at the sight.
"Well"
"I think we have found our song…"
