The Island: Season 14

Skylor sighed as she turned on the lights of her apartment above the Noodle House. She moved towards the kitchen and turned on the lights and placed her keys in her purse before she placed it on the counter she turned to find Kai standing in the middle of the doorframe, making her jump.
"Hi!" He smiled as he leaned on the doorframe with his arms folded.
She blinked a few times, then smiled. "Kai!" She ran up to him and hugged him tightly. "I missed you!"
He grinned as he returned the tight hug. "I missed you too." He kissed her cheek, but she pulled away.
"Where's Blaze?"
"In his bed, asleep."
"Where have you been?" Skylor asked, placing her hands on his chest as their eyes meet. "I went to the monastery a few weeks ago and PIXAL said you guys haven't returned from your adventure."
Kai rubbed the back of his neck with a smile. "Yeah. Have you ever heard of the Kingdom of Shintaro?"
Skylor looked at him confused, then looked to be in thought. "My dad did mention it a few times, he wanted to find it, thought it'd be fun to look around it. But he got board and gave up when he couldn't find it." She folds her arms. "Why?"
Kai grins. "Do I have a story for you!" He said as he wrapped his arm around her and guided her into the open area, and together they fell on the couch.
Skylor made herself more comfortable by sitting sideways on his lap and resting the side of her head on his chest. "Tell me later." She said before yawning. "Your comfortable and I'm falling asleep."
Kai grinned as he held her tightly, letting her fall asleep, and soon he laid his head back on the back of the couch and right away he was also asleep.

At the very end of the hallway, the door on the left opened to reveal Blaze walking out as yawned and rubbed his eyes. He made a break for the bathroom which is between his room and his mother's room.
After a few moments, the bathroom door opened and Blaze walked out and headed for the open area of the apartment. He quickly stopped in his tracks when he looked at the couch. His parents were lying cuddled on the couch, fast asleep.
So much for Saturday morning cartoons.
Blaze then walked towards the kitchen to grab a bowl of cereal.

"Blaze!"
Looking up from cereal from the small table, Blaze looked up to see Skylor. "Mama!"
Skylor ran for her son and grabbed him in a tight hug. "Oh, my baby! I missed you so much!" She cried.
"Can't breath!" He choked, and Skylor quickly let him go.
"Oh, I'm sorry honey." She quickly looked him up and down. "Are you hurt? Are you ok?"
"I'm fine." Blaze tried to reassure her with a smile. "I was with daddy." He added proudly.
"I know." Skylor kissed his cheek before standing up. "I hope you had fun."
Blaze nodded. "I did!"
Skylor lead him out of the kitchen to find Kai, who was now trying to hide something.
"Kai, what are you doing?" Skylor asked. making him jump and turn around to face her.
"Nothing." He squeaked, then quickly cleared his throat.
"Just do it, daddy." Blaze said walked around his father to go back to his room, Kai watched him with an irritated glare.
"Easy for you to say." Kai turned his attention back to Skylor, who raised an eyebrow.
Before Kai could try to come up with something to say, the apartment door opened and Dareth came running in.
"Heyyy, did it work Kai!?" He cried as he ran over to the startled red Ninja, Dareth then ran over to Skylor. "You lucky girl you!" He added as he swung his arm around her shoulders.
"What are you talking about?" She asked confused.
Dareth continued to smile. "Like you don't know." He beamed. "I insist that you use my bar for the reception!"
Kai gulped as he fiddled with a velvet ring box that was in the front pocket of his hoodie. "Dareth."
"Reception?" Skylor repeated. "What reception?"
Dareth continued like he didn't hear. "Or the rehearsal party."
"Dareth! You're ruining everything!" Kai snapped, and finally Dareth stopped as a look of panic crossed his face.
"You ... you didn't ask her?" He asked slowly, while looking at Kai who only looked irritated and angry. "That would be 'no'." Dareth nervously laughed as he backed up. "I'll just see myself out now." He spun around, but tripped over his own feet and ended up thumping down the stairs on his butt, followed by a loud crashed when he reached the bottom of the stairs. "I'm ok!"
Skylor sighed as she shook her head, she turned her attention back to Kai. "Kai, even Jay could put that together." She walked over to him, as he stood nervously. "Is there something you want to ask?"
Kai sighed heavily. "Ok, yes." He nods as he moves away. "Dareth and his big mouth." He grumbled, before turning around to face Skylor again. "Skylor Chen." He pauses and shrugs. "Will you become Mrs. Kai Smith? He asks. "Will you marry me?" He asks simply as he pulls the box out of his pocket and opens it.
Skylor gasped and quickly ran up to him. "Kai!" She throws her arms around his neck in a tight hug. "Yes! Of course!" She pulls back and kisses him.

Now, I think I know Kai well enough to know that he would either propose in a romantic way, or would screw up the proposal.
I've been watching Ninjago since season it first came out on TV.
AND, I'm sorry for it being soo short!
