*looks out to the stage* May I have your attention, please? Thank you. I am pleased to announce that this story is my first trilogy story to do as a request. :) You read right. This story is the sequel to the story "Love Holds Us Together", which is the sequel to "Healing Broken Souls".

I'm very excited for this one because not only was it requested by one of my good friends, dream1990, but also because I'm eager to write on how the new parents are doing. :) If you remember from the last story, Rebecca and Papyrus had just welcomed their twins into the world and the royal family had twins as well along with Grillby and Muffet. :) We will see how they are doing in this story and I'm pleased to announce that two new OCs will be making their appearance too. :) Intrigued? :) Then get ready for a new adventure with your favorite characters. :)

Undertale belongs to Toby Fox. Carmen, Julie, David, Nathan, Thomas, Sarah, Sky, Harmony, Capricorn, Andromeda, Rebecca, Ida, and Hope belong to me.

Love Can Heal Even The Worst Wounds

Chapter 1: Five years later

"Looks like all is going well, Asgore," Rebecca said as she stood before him. "The barrier is holding strong and my friend reports that the mages we fought before have found other jobs and forgotten their magic."

"Good," he said in relief. "While I don't wish for someone to lose their magic, it is a relief to know we don't have to worry about them anymore. I was worried when they came to attack us."

"As was I," the mage said, feeling a small twinge of guilt as the ones to lead the evil mages had been her own parents.

Toriel, who was holding Andromeda and Capricorn while Gaster gave both of them a checkup, looked at the mage sympathetically. "Rebecca, what happened five years ago wasn't your fault," she said gently. "Why do you carry guilt at the other mages trying to attack us?"

"I guess because they were my parents and...I wish things had gone differently," Rebecca said. "I know it's not my fault and you guys have proven that. But...I guess in a way, I still love my parents and hope they are alright and...," she paused and sighed. "I always hoped one day to share the news with them that they would be grandparents and introduce them to my husband, but...," she sighed again. "I guess I'm just...," she trailed off.

"Wanting to do right by your children?" Gaster asked gently.

"That and...I'll one day have to tell them about my side of the family."

Asgore gently smiled. "Rebecca, that won't be for a long time now," he said to her. "Remember, down here, because of the magic, we age much slower. Not only that, we are safe here, thanks to you."

"You don't have to tell your children the bad side of their grandparents," Toriel said gently. "You can just say that they have a busy life and can't come, which is the truth."

The mage looked away before Gaster came up to her and he looked at her. "Rebecca, would this have to do with that nightmare you had the other night?" He asked.

She looked at him. "How do you know about that?" She asked.

"Your magic was coming off of you that night and had an unpleasant smell to it," he said. "When one is stressed, their magic smells off."

She sighed and nodded. "Yes," she said. "I...I had a dream that my parents had come and...they took away the children and there was nothing Papyrus and I could do."

"That won't happen, Rebecca," Asgore said gently, pulling the mage into a hug. "You have my word as king."

"And you know Sans and I wouldn't let that happen and neither would Papyrus," Gaster said. "We skeletons are not to be trifled with when someone threatens our family."

Rebecca smiled, feeling a bit better now as she knew they were right. "Sorry for being so down," she said. "I guess the nightmare rattled me more than I thought."

Toriel smiled as she saw Andromeda reaching for her aunt. "Rebecca, Andromeda wants you," she said.

Smiling, the mage came over and accepted her niece from the queen. "Hey, sweetie," she said, holding the small goat princess, who smiled up at her and snuggled into her arms, yawning before curling up and falling sound asleep while listening to the mage's heartbeat, making them all smile. "So that's what you wanted. To use me as a bed," Rebecca joked, pulling part of her cape around so that it covered the baby like a blanket.

"Looks like you might have calmed her down enough for a nap," Asgore said.

"I think it's Rebecca's heartbeat," Gaster said. "Little ones do love to hear that sound."

"It's the first sound they know personally after all," the mage said before following Toriel to put the twins down for a nap. Once the twins were in their crib, Rebecca's green magic floated over the babies, creating a protective barrier around them and making the two smile in their sleep as they knew their aunt's magic.

Saying farewell to the King and Queen, the mage and oldest skeleton brother headed out, finding the other children in the garden and the older siblings were teaching the younger siblings some things. Carmen and David were helping Julie to not only learn the different sounds of letters, but also to spell while Thomas was teaching his other siblings what he had been reading up on about flowers and plants as they tried to identify the plants in the garden. This made the two smile before they continued on their journey back home.

As they were walking under some trees, spider webbing landed on them and they soon had two giggling young ones clinging to them as Gaster used his magic to catch Sky and Harmony, to which the twins giggled as their aunt and uncle cleaned the spider webbing off themselves. "You little rascals," Rebecca said with a smile as she accepted Harmony and began tickling her, making the baby laugh. "Auntie's gonna get you!" She cooed to her before nuzzling her nose into the baby's stomach, making her giggle and laugh.

"And Uncle's got you, little Sky!" Gaster cooed to her, playfully blowing a raspberry against the baby's cheek and she laughed before feeling his fingers gently tickling her underarms, making her squeal and curl up before laughing as the skeleton nuzzled her stomach playfully.

Grillby came out of the restaurant, looking relieved that the two had found the twins. "We were wondering where they had crawled off to," he said, accepting Harmony from Rebecca.

"They sneak attacked us," she said with a smile.

"Sorry about that, you two," Muffet said, coming out and accepting Sky from Gaster. "These two are getting very mischievous."

"Much like their parents," Gaster said teasingly.

"Hey!" Both said in mock offense, making Rebecca laugh in amusement.

"Just wait until you have kids someday, Gaster," Rebecca said teasingly. "I'll teach them all kinds of sneak attacks."

"You wouldn't dare," he said playfully as he gently poked her sides, making her laugh again.

"Thanks again for finding the twins," Muffet said before the two wished them well and headed for their home. When they opened the door, they came to the sight of Sans sitting on the couch with Ida in his lap and Papyrus was on the floor with Hope as the baby had been playing with some blocks. Both twins turned to the sound of the door and immediately began squealing happily at seeing their mother and uncle come in.

Rebecca smiled as she looked at her twins, who by appearance were five months old. "Hello, my little angels," she cooed as the babies squealed again and Papyrus stood up, helping Hope to stand up and walk while she held onto his hands. They walked to Rebecca, who picked up the little girl and gave her husband a kiss. "Hello, Handsome."

"Hello, my lovely wife," he said, kissing her again. "I missed you."

"And I missed you and the children," she said.

Sans came over with Ida. "Ida said her first word today," he said.

"She did?" Rebecca asked in surprise.

"What?" Papyrus asked as that was news to him.

The shorter skeleton smiled. "You were out training with Undyne when she said it, bro," he said gently. "But let me see if she can say it again." He looked at his niece. "Come on, kiddo. You can do it."

He held up an apple and Ida squealed happily when she saw it. "Apple!" She said, loud and clear.

Gaster paused in shock as he heard that and Rebecca and Papyrus had tears running down their faces as they looked at their daughter with pride. "Oh, my goodness," Rebecca said. "Hope is learning how to walk and Ida just said her first word."

"Now that is something nice to come home to," the oldest skeleton brother said with a smile as the twins reached for him and he accepted them, hugging them both. "Oh, you two didn't miss this old sack of bones you call your uncle, did you?" He cooed playfully, making them giggle as they snuggled into his arms.

Rebecca smiled, her nightmare far from her mind, but little did any of them know, danger was about rise up and come for them once again.

Far away on the surface world, two people stood over a small five year old child, who was looking at them pleadingly. "I can't do it," she said. "Please, can I go play?"

"Use your magic," the man said firmly. "You have all seven traits needed to break the barrier, which means you have magic to do so."

"But I don't have magic," the child protested.

"Please, brother, stop," a lady said as she looked on. "She's just a child."

"Be quiet!" He snapped, slapping her. "You have no right to tell me and my wife what to do with our daughter!"

"You may be her aunt, but you're holding her back!" The woman said before looking at the child. "Now, use your magic."

"I can't!" The child said, close to tears.

This went on for a bit longer until the couple finally decided that enough was enough for that day. "Tomorrow, you will use your magic," the mother said firmly to the child.

"And you stay out of it," the father said to his sister firmly. "Remember, you'd be in the streets if it wasn't for us."

The lady looked down and then looked at her niece before making a decision. "Sweetie, meet Auntie in her room after your folks go to bed," she said in a whisper.

"Okay, Auntie," the little girl whispered back.

After supper, the couple retired to their room, using sleep spells on each other to go to sleep. Seeing this, the aunt nodded and quickly packed her things and her niece's things. Both didn't have much, but it was enough to fill two backpacks. "Come, sweetie," the aunt said, picking up her niece and quickly going out the door, getting to her car and putting the child inside.

"Where are we going, Aunty?" The little one asked.

"We're going to Mt. Ebbot," her aunt replied. "I just hope the stories we've heard are true."

They had heard stories of the children that had fallen were still alive and five years ago, the story of a battle where a mage had stood with the monsters and fought off the evil mages spread around. Now the little girl's parents wanted her to break the barrier so that they could drive the monsters out of the mountain.

"Aunty, we're not coming back here, are we?" The child asked.

"No, sweetie. We're never coming back here," she promised. "Not if I have anything to say about it."

She muttered that last sentence to herself before turning on the car and driving, soon reaching the town where Mt. Ebbot was and grabbing her identification, the woman picked up her niece and the two backpacks carrying their belongings and began walking through the night, climbing the mountain and finding the entrance easily. Taking a deep breath, she used her magic to create an air cushion and she and her niece floated down into the mountain just as the sun was beginning to rise.

Hmm. Looks like two others have come seeking refuge in the mountain and the woman has a secret. What could it be? Stay tuned to find out. :)

And please leave a review, but no flames!
