This story is based on a series of events that I will have on a few of the Lupin III crew. Written in a summarized format to act as if the reader is watching an episode of LupinIII. So in retrospect this is only a draft. Enjoy!
The term (RC) is Abbreviated for (Rival Clan) since I do not have a name.
(Lupin, Goemon, and Jigen are walking through a forest)
"I know this might have to deal with (RC) but is it really needed for you to fight them like this?" Lupin glanced over at Goemon. Goemon nodded quietly as Jigen sighed softly, "Well he isn't going to turn back now since we are knee deep in this forest anyway." Lupin shrugged at Jigen, "It was worth a try! And since I don't know a thing about (RC) the only thing I can trust is Goemon's skill and my intuition!"
Jigen would huff as they walked, "Oh yeah? And what does THAT say?" "That I have no idea where we are or what this (RC) has anything to do with Goemon!" Lupin would cut himself short as Goemon would place Zantetsuken's handle infront of Lupin to silence him.
"... Here."
Goemon would look upward to see a larger building covered in various foliage. Walking infront of the other two that were bickering, Goemon would sigh and begin walking up the stairs. The others would follow along quietly.
The large doors would slowly open, making sounds that made it clear they were very heavy. As soon as the three entered in, a voice rang out, "You have come. Ishikawa Goemon. Your friends are required to drop all weapons at once." Goemon blinked and looked back at Jigen and Lupin.
"What if we say no, huh?" Lupin raised a brow. Goemon frowned, "Lupin!". At Lupin's response the room lit up a bit to reveal bodies cloaked in shadow.
"Your friends are required to drop all weapons." the voice repeated. Jigen already dropped his weapon before Lupin even could shrug off the intimidation. "These guys are tough…", Lupin would mutter.
The voice continued, "In light of this act, you will bear witness to Ishikawa Goemon's death. Our finest warrior will fight him to the death to see who can keep the artifacts we kept from the Ishikawas." A light would show towards a large scroll-like object. Lupin would smile, "Another artifact from the ancestors. Goemon's at it again it seems."
Jigen would nod, "And we gotta trust that Goemon's gonna get the thing. Till then," Jigen would sit at their suggested spot and lean back, "Now's a good time as any to take a nap after that walk!" Lupin would shrug, "Suit yourself. Imma watch!"
Goemon would silently wait as his enemy would make their way into view. It was a slender figure, very much a patron of ninja arts. He would draw out two daggers and crouch a little in a stance. Goemon did likewise. In a moment, the two would clash. They seemed equal in speed and reaction time. Lupin watched closely, eyeing the artifact on the other end of the room.
Goemon would sidestep, leaning forward to make the other lunge too far and trip. In a moment's notice the adversary would disappear, Goemon would look around, and soon would be caught off-guard by several hands. Lupin would stand up, "awawa! That's not fair!". Goemon would struggle and fall over. Lupin couldn't see much from where he was, but he was gearing to jump out of his seating area to help Goemon. Only to be stopped by several kunai landing infront of his feet! "AI!", Lupin yelped. Jigen woke up with a start, "Eh? Huh? What happened?" His hand on top of his empty pocket, force of habit of course.
Goemon cried out for a moment before sounding muffled. A trick, a jest, This was unfair and Goemon could do nothing about it. Before Goemon could swing back, the group vanished, leaving Goemon coughing and hacking on the ground. "Goemon!" Jigen and Lupin shouted. Goemon was fine, it took a moment for him to regain composure but he made it up. "I was told this was a fair fight. I don't see anything fair with what just transpired."
"I said that we would bring our best. We all are the best here. You only brought yourself and those… guns... " The voice growled. "OH YEAH!? WE COULD OF HAD A FAIR FIGHT IF WE JOINED IN-" "Lupin!" Jigen stopped Lupin from yelling. Goemon was down kneeling. In a moment's notice Jigen and Lupin rushed out of the booths they were in and ran over to Goemon. Kunai's were flying at them, but they were able to barely dodge them. Lupin made his way over to where they dropped their guns and quickly threw Jigen's gun toward him.
Jigen was picking up Goemon as swiftly as he could and caught his magnum with his free hand. "Gotcha!" And began to effortlessly silence several of the throwers above them. "Lets go!" Lupin already set up a few explosives by the heavy door. And with a lighter, set them off so they could make the getaway. It worked, though it made the three very dusty soon after.
Kunai's were still flying after them. They were being pursued. Still, they kept on running. "They lurk in the shadows." Goemon looked around as he used a free hand to block several kunai with Zantetsuken. For a while this continued till they reached their car, shoddily covered in leaves. Lupin quickly brushed off the camouflage and opened the back door for Jigen to place Goemon in the car. Soon, they were able to start the car and all three of them were able to leave the forest.
Jigen was heavily breathing, Lupin was recovering just a tad from the excitement. The highway seemed empty enough, so the two of them looked back at Goemon. "You alright, Goemon?" Lupin spoke in a worried tone. "Looks like he took a bit of a beating back there. Just for a slip of paper?" Jigen would question.
Goemon would blink and look away. "I'm fine. (RC) is known for their mastery in espionage and tactics like that. It's not just a slip of paper." Jigen would huff and shrug at Lupin. Lupin however still looked worried. "I know that document's important to you, but I think acquiring it will be my job. You rest ok?" Goemon sighed, "Fine."
The three would go back home, their car in a very beaten up state. Jigen sighed, "I'll tinker with this while you go inside. Might need a new window…" He stopped for a moment as Goemon walked out of the car.
Something looked wrong. But Jigen couldn't tell what it was.
Goemon closed the car door and walked slowly inside. The sun was starting to go down, but he couldn't tell, perhaps he had gone down with a cold? No, Goemon wasn't telling the others what had happened. It was probably nothing. If it was poison, he should be out for the count completely right? Goemon would lay in his bed staring into nothingness. What was that stuff?
Lupin would be busy making plans to steal the artifact from the (RC). Jigen would soon come inside the house and shut the door behind him. "You see anything… different about Goemon?" Jigen would take out another cigarette and light it. "Not really, he just seemed sluggish. Maybe he will feel better in the morning." Lupin spoke softly, worried in his thoughts.
"Maybe you are right…" Jigen sat down on the couch and leaned back. "I'll be resting if you need me." "Sure thing." Lupin would look down at his map once more.
Soon morning would come. The night seemed peaceful enough, and things seemed to be just fine.-
A scream of some sort would come from Goemon's bedroom, startling Lupin and Jigen. "G-Goemon?!" Lupin would jump up and drag his blanket along with him. Upon getting to Goemon's room, they both froze in place.
(((commercial break)))
Goemon was sitting on the edge of his bed, but his feet couldn't reach the floor for some reason. Gripping his blankets around him, it would appear as though Goemon wasn't his typical height anymore. He would sit there in silence as Lupin and Jigen took double takes as to if this was an illusion or not.
"I would like you two to stop staring at me so intently." Goemon spoke plainly.
"S-sorry Goemon," Lupin started, "Didn't mean to scare you." Jigen then sat down next to Goemon, "Mind telling us what's up?" Goemon was a few feet smaller now, and was now about the height of a typical teenager. With a sigh, Goemon would lax his shoulders. "While I was tackled I think I was given some form of toxin. Whatever it was it wasn't meant to kill me right away. I ignored it assuming it was nothing."
"Would have been good to know a while ago. But can't be helped now." Jigen shrugged. "Looks like we got two things to deal with. The artifact and whatever's makin' Goemon smaller." Lupin would have his classic thinking face on, "Seems like it! And the only way to finding out is by going back to that Forest temple for the (RC)."
Goemon shuddered a little, he said nothing but it caught the other two by surprise. They gasped in unison as they watched their friend shrink only a few inches. "What the hell? How long is this gonna go for?" Jigen cried out. It didn't take a moment after to see that a kunai flew through the window, taking a bit of Jigen's beard hair with it, and attaching itself to the wall.
"Wha-"
Lupin would make his way to the kunai, there was a letter attached. Upon opening it, Lupin read aloud, "If you want to see your friend alive, you will have to take the reversal antidote from our cold dead hands!" "Hmph, it seems like that answers a whole lotta things doesn't it." Jigen grumbled, he stroked his beard angrily. Goemon looked behind him, and sighed softly when he noticed his blade was still a perfect size for him. Perhaps there was an area of effect?
"Lets go!" Lupin and Jigen rushed out the room with Goemon not too far behind, thankfully. Goemon would sit on top of the car, and Jigen would give a look, "You sure you are okay up there-" He would stop asking due to the look Goemon gave soon after. "Yeesh…" Jigen would then get in the passenger's seat, holding his hat.
As soon as they went into the highway, a familiar voice called out. "THERE YOU ARE, LUPIN!" Zenigata was already shouting through his megaphone. "Pops just won't let up, will he?" Lupin grinned, "You got this, Goemon?" Goemon nodded as he would then stand up on top of the car and slowly draw Zantetsuken. Even though he was a bit shorter, he was able to cut Zenigata's car in half.
"W-Whaaaaaa!" Zenigata would yell as his vehicle would split.
Watching as the car teetered off the road, Goemon smiled. He could get used to this, maybe. His comfort was soon cut short by him shrinking once again! His balance was thrown off a tad as he frantically held on to the roof of the car. "Aaa!" Goemon grit his teeth and then looked up as Jigen took hold of his slipping hand. "I gotcha Goemon. Told ya the roof wasn't safe!" He grunted as he pulled Goemon back into the car. Goemon was now roughly two feet tall now, which seemed very inconvenient.
"He got smaller, didn't he" Lupin would say. "Yeh… he did…" Jigen would nod. "Well, guess we gotta move faster!" With that Lupin would step on the gas and rush over to the forest from before.
