. [ Not Leaving ]
.
Finland grunted with effort as Sweden's body only seemed to become heavier and heavier for each step they took. It was no secret Finland took great pride of his own strength, but while Sweden's weight wasn't an issue Finland had to reluctantly admit that Sweden's much taller and bigger body in general at best made it very awkward to support the man's weight. Sweden, despite Finland's strength, was heavy too. The fact that Sweden despite his best efforts was slowly but surely losing consciousness didn't help their situation either, and what had begun with Finland only needing to help Sweden keep his balance through the raging blizzard had eventually reached the point where Finland more or less dragged Sweden through the snow with Sweden almost draped over his shoulders.
"F-Fin…" Sweden slurred.
"Mm?"
Perhaps he should have given Sweden a better answer to show he was listening, but quite frankly Finland was too focused on making sure he wouldn't lose his footing in the snow and at times the treacherous ice.
"I'm s-slowing yu' down. Jus' leave m-"
"Shut up," Finland interrupted through gritted teeth and steel in his voice as he tightened his hold on Sweden's arms.
"Are you insane!? I'm not about to leave you wounded and alone in the middle of a blizzard!"
Sweden sounded like he was about to protest, surely with something ridiculous in the lines of how it was better Finland put himself in safety before the blizzard took them both. However, Finland was having none of it, and thus to show he was serious Finland instead finally decided he had enough of dragging Sweden around the snow and hoisted Sweden's body up to give him a full piggy-back. Finland took a moment to feel bad over the grunt of pain the movements caused Sweden to slip out, but then immediately returned his focus back on the task at hand again. Get home safely.
Their height differences made it awkward to carry Sweden, and Finland couldn't help but to feel a little annoyed when he noticed Sweden was still tall enough to have his boots dragged in the snow while being given a piggy-back by him, but at least this was still smoother than trying to support Sweden's weight from the side. As an added bonus Finland couldn't help but to feel a bit of relief as Sweden was able to relax a bit against his back, noticeable in much less pain now when he didn't have to try and support his own weight.
"F'n…"
"I'm not leaving you," Finland gritted back, his eyes never leaving the path in front of his feet.
A short silence followed between them, the only audible sound around them coming from the raging blizzard, Finland's harsh breaths and Sweden's own rattling ones. Then...
"Th'nk yu'…"
Finland had barely been able to hear Sweden's words over the whining winds of the blizzard, but he felt Sweden's arms wrap around him just a little tighter - almost like in a hug from behind. As the blizzard raged on around them Finland gave Sweden's legs a little squeeze to show he had heard and continued to trudge through the snow.
"Almost home, Sví."
This time Sweden didn't answer though. Instead Sweden's head slowly but heavily landed against Finland's shoulder, a telling sign for Finland that Sweden had now officially lost consciousness despite his best efforts to stay awake. In response Finland gritted his teeth further and forced his legs to increase his walking speed.
"Almost home, Sví. Just hold on a little longer."
Please.

(A/N: Why is Sweden injured? Why are Sweden and Finland stuck outside in the middle of a blizzard? Who knows. Inspiration didn't take me that far. x') Hope you enjoyed it though!)
