At last, here's a new story from me! As you can tell already from the title and the categories, this is a crossover between My Hero Academia and King Kong. To be precise, the movie Kong: Skull Island! This story is basically that movie but with MHA characters thrown into the mix, so while there will be familiar scenes from the movie, the inclusion of MHA characters will still make the experience new, so I hope you sit through it!
And please be warned that I have no hesitation dropping spoilers here and there without warning, so don't be surprised if I suddenly bring up stuffs like Kurogiri actually being a Nomu made using Aizawa's dead friend Shirokumo's body, Midnight getting killed, All For One escaping prison and taking over Shigaraki's body, etc. in this story and ruining things for anime-only fans of the series. While this doesn't necessary mean I will be bringing up the aforementioned spoilers in this story, I will not be sorry if I do nor will I respond to anyone who criticize me for this either.
Oh wait, I just spoiled all those manga contents already. Eh, whatever...
Also, please note that this story DOES NOT same continuity as my previous DC and MHA crossover.

Chapter 1
Internship Gone Wrong
Class 1-A was noisy as usual as they waited for their teacher Shouta Aizawa to arrive at class, though not so noisy that they were being an annoyance to neighboring classes.
Katsuki Bakogou was talking about how he had been coming up with new move ideas to take down even the biggest villains, not to mention about how he would surpass Izuku Midoriya and Shouto Todoroki and even claim that he might actually have surpassed them already.
Minoru Mineta and Denki Kaminari were talking about a recent anime series that was filled with fan service, about how attractive the female characters in there are and how "necessary" their attires are. When Tenya Iida interjected, saying that they shouldn't watch lewd shows and how they should be feeling bad for the female protagonist being forced to wear such a skimpy attire, they asked him how did he know the female protagonist's name and the plot of that episode. Tenya became nervous, but tried to hide it and replied that he took a glance at a family member of his watching it but didn't see the entire thing, but those two had doubts.
The door slid open all of a sudden, and their teacher Aizawa stepped in, looking depressed and tired like he always does. Upon seeing his arrival, everyone turned silent as he or she sat down properly. "Good morning, teacher!" they said said to him politely.
"Sup, class," replied Aizawa in a tired-sounding voice. "I've got something to tell you that may surprise you. Even I was surprised when I was told about something you folks are going to participate in. To put it simple, our class has been chosen to take part in an internship."
Majority of the class was surprised to hear this. "Wow! I'm feeling excited already! Internships are always great!" exclaimed Mina Ashido.
"We get to learn a lot of new things and more about being heroes!" said Izuku with enthusiasm. "I wonder what sort of internship we're having this time."
"This is quite different from before. I don't have the full details, and that will be given when you meet the people who you will be working with," Aizawa told them. "A new island has been discovered, and scientists want to go study it, so they hired the military and even some heroes to tag along to explore that place."
The whole class widened their eyes in surprise. "A newly discovered island?!" said Mashirao Ojiro in disbelief.
"Does that mean there are yet to be discovered animals there?" wondered Koji Koda with enthusiasm. Having a Quirk that controls animals, someone like him would sure to be interest in such a thing.
"Exploration? Bah! I thought we would be doing something more exciting!" grumbled Katsuki. "You said the military is accompanying us? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to be fighting terrorists and letting us lend a hand? I wanna go into the battlefield and blow shit up!"
"Yeah right, you're still to early to get involved in real wars..." Aizawa told him.
"Like fighting villains isn't war-like already..." said Tsuyu Asui.
"Either way, this internship will take place three days from now," Aizawa continued explaining. "You will be taken to a harbor where the research team and the military will be gathering, and then we will board a ship that will take us to that island. While on that ship, detailed information regarding the island will be given to you. I will be tagging along on this internship as well. Principle Nedzu has decided that because of the possibility of high risks, it is better that ateacher tag along."
"Bah! I fail how to see a bunch of animals can do any harm to us, or primitive natives, if there any!" said Katsuki, sounding bored.
"We should always be prepared for potential dangers, so our teacher accompanying us is a plus!" Tenya told him.
"We don't know what we'll run into on that island, so you lot better start training for wilderness survival on the off chance that we do not have enough supplies or some of you get separated," Aizawa told them. "
Three days later, Class 1-A arrived at a harbor in a school bus. All 20 students stepped down and were greeted with a large number of people being busy at the place, doing things like fixing ships and loading and unloading cargoes.
"I wonder which boat we're gonna ride," wondered Mina. "I hope it's a beautiful ocean liner!"
"Nothing beats traveling on sea in a beautiful vessel!" agreed Yuga Aoyama.
"According to the information I got," said Aizawa while looking at some papers, and then he pointed in a certain direction, "...we'll be riding that one." The students looked and saw what appeared to be some kind of cargo ship, and it didn't exactly look new.
"That's the ship we're riding...?" said Kyoka Jiro.
"It looks so old..." commented Mina in disappointment.
"That doesn't exactly suit my taste..." said Yuga in equal disappointment.
The class went towards the ship, where they saw some people dressed as soldiers, all of whom were Americans. When the soldiers saw them, they were curious at the presence of these students. "Great... English isn't my strong point... Nobody told me wewill be dealing with Americans..." Aizawa grumbled in his head.
Just then, a black man wearing a military uniform that appeared to be higher ranking compared to the others then stepped forward and spoke in Japanese, "Are you Class 1-A of UA? I am Lieutenant Colonel Preston Packard. I've been expecting you!"
"Nice, someone who speaks my language!" Aizawa thought, and then he said, "Good to meet you, Colonel Packard. We look forward to working together with you in this internship."
Looking at the students, Packard said, "So these are the students we will be working with, huh? Not a bad-looking class! I'm expecting great things from future heroes like you!"
"We won't disappoint you, colonel!" said Izuku nervously saluting like a soldier. Seeing him like this, the other soldiers laughed a bit and said some English. Izuku had skills in English, even if not the highest level, so he could understand that they were commenting on him trying to act like a good soldier but finding it funny.
Soon afterwards, everyone went aboard the ship, which set sail some minutes later.
As the ship was traveling across the sea, all the important people were gathered together in a relatively large room designed for meetings. The Class 1-A students were seated relatively close up front, a midst the soldiers and some people dressed like researchers.
An elderly-looking American then walked up in front of a whiteboard that had a PowerPoint presentation projected onto it. "Good morning, everyone," he said to them. "I am Bill Randa, head of the research organization that discovered this island. The island we are going to is called Skull Island." The screen then showed an island vaguely shaped like a skull.
"Skull Island..." Izuku said in in head while looking at the image in awe.
"Skull Island... What a creepy-sounding name..." commented Ochako Uraraka.
"And sinister too..." added Momo Yaoyorozu.
"This island was never discovered until now because it is surrounded by an unexplained perpetual storm that blocks off all satellite images, but recent advancement in camera technology has finally allowed us to look through the storm clouds and lay eye on this island for the first time, even if its only a satellite image from above," explained Randa.
"Didn't think there would still be places in this world that are unexplored..." thought Shouto.
"Our job is to head to the island and gather as much information as we could," said Randa. "We do not know what is on it and if there are any form of civilization, which is where the military and the students from Class 1-A come in. They will help out in whatever way possible and ensuring our safety.
"And there's also tracker and former Special Air Service Captain James Conrad and photographer Mason Weaver," continued Randa, pointing at an American man and woman respectively seated among the soldiers. "Next, I would like to let Lieutenant Colonel Packard come up here and explain what other things we will be doing there."
Packard then went up front and began explaining that they would be mapping out the island using seismic bombs. "Using bombs to map out an island...?" said Denki in confusion.
"That's new to me..." said Hanta Sero.
"Is it really okay to be bombing an undiscovered island...? Think about the animals living there..." said a concerned Koji.
"Who cares? It sounds awesome to me, blowing up stuff!" commented Katsuki with a slight smile.
For the next few days, the ship traveled across the ocean peacefully. During this time, the students didn't have much to do other than interacting with the soldiers and getting to know them better, not to mention doing studies when required to so that they could help them deal with whatever the island throws at them.
Currently, Izuku, Denki, Eijiro Kirishima, and Hanta were sitting with some soldiers. Surprisingly, the soldiers know Japanese, albeit to a limited degree, but not so much that they couldn't understand each other at all. Izuku knew English, so he was able to help translate some things when necessary.
"So the majority of the army people don't have Quirks?!" said Izuku in surprised after hearing what a soldier named Reg Slivko said.
"Yeah, and it's more common than you think all over the world," explained Reg. "The army is basically a place for people who want to be heroes but don't have Quirks, so we make ourselves heroes through intense combat training and mastering of weapons."
"That's very manly in my books!" praised Eijiro.
"I have to admit, seeing people with no powers trying to accomplish great things is exciting! It's cool to see what normal people can do when pushed to their limits!" said Denki.
"But do people ever, like, look down on the military because of the lack of Quirks? I mean, in the age with heroes, it looks like the army is redundant at times," asked Hanta. "I'm not trying to offend you folks or look down you, mind you. Just genuinely curious, but sorry if I did offend you..."
"Nah, it's all right," said a black soldier named Glen Mills. "The military is still important even in this sort of age. You don't exactly hear a lot about discrimination towards the Quirkless. We discourage that sort of thing here, and in a place where the Quirkless is actually more numerous than those with Quirks, it's even lesser."
Izuku was glad to hear this. He was glad to know that even without having Quirks, these people were still trying their best to be heroes in their own ways that can still make their country proud. After all, being heroes isn't just about having powers and fighting villains, but also doing more mundane things like firefighting, cleanup, and political stuff that benefits countries.
Meanwhile, the female students were posing together to get a picture taken by Weaver. "Done!" said the photographer in Japanese as she lowered her digital camera.
"Did you make it good?" Tooru Hagakure asked her.
"I'm a pro, so you can bet on that!" Mason assured her. "And if you don't mind me asking this, life can be pretty tough not being able to see yourself, doesn't it?"
"Nah, it's nothing to me, since I've been like this for the most of my life," replied the invisible girl. "And before you ask, I do know what I look like."
The ship continued to travel for a few more days, and nothing interesting happened at all. Katsuki was already complaining about the lack of things do, so much that he considered jumping into the sea and blasting some sharks until they become endangered for the sake of all beach goers, but Koji told him about the importance of sharks in the ecosystem, to which the former said, "If you like sharks so much, why don't you marry one?!"
Just then, they noticed something up ahead, as well as everyone else on the deck. "What the...?" said Kyoka in awe.
Up ahead was what appeared to be a pillar of cloud that was constantly giving off lightning from within. The cloud remained in place, not moving from its position even a centimeter.
Looking at the cloud with a pair of binoculars, Randa said, "That's the place. The perpetual cloud that covers Skull Island..."
"I've never seen thunderclouds like that before! Is that even possible?!" said Denki.
"Are you sure it's not something conjured by a weather-manipulating Quirk user?" questioned Izuku.
"To be able to conjure a massive thundercloud like that would take a lot out of a person, so I doubt so..." said Shouto.
"We're going to go through... that...?" asked a nervous Ochako.
"Ribbit... I don't think anything can go through it unscratched..." said Tsuyu.
With news of their location approaching, many of the soldiers and research team, as well as the class, got ready to board helicopters that would take them there. There were several helicopters, and the students were divided into four groups of five, each taking a different helicopter.
Izuku, Katsuki, Tenya, Masahirao, and Fumikage Tokoyami traveled together in one helicopter, and Aizawa was with them. They will be referred to as Team B.
Ochako, Kojo, Kyoka, Tohru, and Shouto traveled together. This is Team N.
Momo, Minoru, Mina, Hanta, and Eijiro were in another group. This is Team H
Rikido Sato, Yuga, Mezo Shoji, Tsuyu, and Denki were together. This is Team A.
They learned that they would set up a camp in a certain spot on the island, and after three days, supply helicopters would come to provide them with more resources, and then they would decide on that day whether or not it was okay to leave the island already or if they should stay a few more days.
After everything was ready, the helicopters took off the ship and flew towards the massive pillar of cloud. The students were nervous as they approached it.
Packard was riding the same helicopter as Team H. "Are you sure this is safe...?" asked a nervous Mina.
"Fear not, young lady," Packard assured her. "These helicopters are made using the latest technology. No storm is gonna turn it into Icarus!"
"Icarus?" asked Minoru.
"He's referring to the Greek mythology of Icarus, a person who made artificial wings to fly, but he flew to close to the sun and got his wings melted due to it being made from wax and thus fell into the sea to his death," Momo explained to him.
"Yeah! That storm ain't gonna make us fall into the sea!" said Eijiro with confidence.
Everyone braced themselves as the helicopters approached the thundercloud. When they were all inside, the helicopters shook left and right violently, while bright lightning bolts flashed outside so much that they were almost blinded. The pilots were wearing shades that helped them see even with such bright light, however.
The students were in for a ride of their lives. Even with their seat beats on, they still shook around so much that they almost got thrown off their seats. "This... This is nothing...!" said Katsuki, trying his best trying to look unfazed.
"As the heroes travel through the darkness of the storm, they gaze before their eyes the light of hope that shall once again bring clear skies," said Fumikage, who is the calmest of all the students in this helicopter.
After some minutes of flying through the storm, the helicopters finally emerged on the other side, where everyone was greeted with bright sunlight shining down onto them. What amazed them the most was the sight of a large and beautiful island down on the sea before them. Their mouths all dropped in awe at such a site.
"It's beautiful...!" said Weaver as she snapped pictures.
"Incredible...!" commented Conrad.
"Wow...! This is so beautiful!" commented Ochako.
"To think that there would be a place like this still undiscovered on Earth...!" said Tenya in disbelief.
The passengers continued to watch in awe as the helicopters flew around the island, giving them a good glimpse of the mountains, trees, lakes, and rivers down below. There were several birds flying around in the air, and if they looked closely, they could see what appears to be gazelles running down below on the grassy fields.
"Look at all those animals!" commented Kojo. "I can't wait to talk to them to learn more about this place!"
"You think there are people living here?" wondered Kyoka.
"Hard to imagine they would be able to get to this island in the first place..." said Shouto.
The helicopters eventually found a large clearing of grass to land. Everyone got down and began setting up tents and other pieces of equipment, both for leisure and research purposes. Some of the students helped, while some stood around close by to get up close looks at the beautiful nature before their eyes.
"We're standing on an undiscovered island...! I wonder if there is anything here that is completely new to the world? If people do live here, what kinds of Quirk do they have? Are they civilized?" Izuku said to himself rather loudly.
"You're just like always, heheh!" Ochako commented while looking at him.
Eventually, everything was set up. Packard then told everyone that they were going to set off to drop seismic bombs that would help the researchers map out the island. When Kojo asked about the bombs bringing harm to the wildlife, Packard told him that they would use a special sound-emitting device that would scare away the animals below first before dropping the bombs. Even so, the student wasn't too approving of such a destructive method for mapping out the island, but there was nothing he could do about this.
Team N stayed behind at the camp, while the other teams, after getting into their hero costumes as per orders from Aizawa, went with the others onto the helicopters to perform the seismic bombing.
"You kids keep an eye out on the surroundings. You'll never know if wild animals show up to attack us," a black researcher named Houston Brooks told Team N in English.
"Don't worry; we'll keep you safe," said Shouto with a nod. He knows English as well.
The helicopters flew across the sky, using a siren system to scare away any animals below before dropping bombs. The explosions were quite big and left behind quite some craters. Data from the explosions were then transferred to computers back at the camp site for the researchers in the form of sonar images that gave them a glimpse of what the terrains look like.
"Oh yeah! Let them rip! Blow them all up!" exclaimed Katsuki, looking down the window at the bombs going off.
"You're really not a fan of nature, aren't you...?" Mashirao asked him.
"I just care about explosions and being a hero, that's all!" Katsuki told him.
"Being a hero is also about taking good care of the environment," Fumikage told him. "A hero who causes only destruction will eventually fall into dar..."
"You shut the fuck up with your oh-so mysterious and stupid words of wisdom!" Katsuki interrupted him in annoyance.
The students on the helicopters continued to watch the bombing going on. Packard, Weaver, Conrad, and Randa were among those in the helicopters as well, taking note of the explosions and also their surroundings, hoping to find something interesting.
As one of the helicopters carrying none of the people mentioned above was flying through the air, a tree came flying in their direction. Before the pilots could get out of the way, the helicopter was hit by the tree, causing the former to spin out of control and crashing down below. All the other helicopters noticed this, and one of the pilots immediately contacted the camp regarding this.
That was when everyone noticed something that would be burned into his or her minds forever. Some were at a complete loss of words, while some made comments of awe and disbelief.
"What the...?" said Aizawa.
"Wha... Wha... is that...?!" said Izuku.
"Oh... my...!" said Momo.
"Is that a monkey?" asked a pilot in equal shock.
Standing before them all was a gigantic beast resembling a gorilla, an extremely angry gorilla, somewhere between 30 to 40 meters tall, perhaps even taller. The giant beast let out an ear-shattering roar that was more than enough to make them all snap out of their shocked states.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!" cried one of the soldiers in the copters.
"I DON'T CARE! SHOOT IT DOWN!" cried another one.
The copters all wasted no time in firing from their mounted guns at the giant gorilla, who seemed unfazed by the bullets. The students and Aizawa were in complete shock as they looked out the window at the beast.
"Is that really a gorilla?! I've never heard of or seen one that big before!" said Denki.
"Me too!" said Rikido.
The copters flew in circles around the gorilla, firing at it nonstop. The gorilla, after enduring the bullet shots, began attacking them. With swift movements unlikely of his size, the beast ran at the nearest copter and thrust his massive fist at it, completely blowing it up and everyone in it in a single punch.
"OH NO!" gasped Momo in horror when she saw the death all of those in that helicopter.
"We have to do something!" said Hanta.
The giant gorilla continued to fight the helicopters, which were unable to do anything to it with their guns. Through throwing punches, grabbing and throwing those flying machines, and even hurling trees, the gorilla was able to destroy more and more of the helicopters, though none of them were carrying the people that mattered to this story.
"We have to retreat!" Conrad shouted at the pilot of the copter he is in. But before said pilot could do anything, one soldier who had previously landed on the ground to escape was swatted in their direction by the gorilla, crashing into the windshield and causing the whole thing to steer out of control and eventually crashing onto the ground.
"Get me close to that monkey! I'll blast him to bits!" Katsuki shouted at the pilot.
"No! We're getting out of here now!" protested Aizawa.
"This is bad! This is bad!" cried Izuku, who was curled up and trembling in fear. "Are we all going to die here?! Are we...?!"
Before they knew it, their helicopter was grabbed by the gorilla from behind and then hurled away, with all of them screaming in terror inside.
More and more helicopters were taken down, some of which contained the 1-A students. The remaining helicopters hurriedly returned to the camp, which ended up being a bad idea due to the gorilla following them back there. Those at the camp were finally able to witnessed what it was that was terrorizing the people out there.
"WHAT IN THE WORLD?!" screamed Ochako.
"A GIANT GORILLA?!" gasped Tenya.
Everyone screamed in terrror while fleeing from the approaching monster. The gorilla crushed several things underneath his feet, including people. Ochako was horrified and disgusted at the sight of the bloody mess left behind underneath the gorilla's feet and threw up, forgetting to make her escape, so Tooru dragged her away.
Wanting to stop the gorilla in some way, Shouto froze the ground in the direction of the monster's feet. However, due to the massive size of the gorilla, freezing his feet to the ground did absolutely nothing, as he was able to lift his feet off the ground as if nothing happened at all, and he didn't even notice what happened just now.
"Hey! Can you hear me?" Kojo called out to the gorilla using his Quirk, hoping to get his attention. However, the gorilla was likely too busy causing destruction to hear him, so Kojo had to give up attempting communication for now and instead run .
As the chaos continued, Packard stood up while groaning in pain, having survived his helicopter's crash. He looked around to see injured and dead soldiers lying around the place, and then he looked in the distance at the giant gorilla laying waste to the camp.
Even though he was still in shock at seeing such a creature, he was at the same time filled with anger. Whatever this monster is, he was not going to let it get away with killing his men and ruining their mission.
