"How did it end up this way? Why me? Waahhh waaahhh" Tenten cried miserably under her blanket. She was wrapped up like a burrito with only her little face exposed.
"Nothing happened yet..." Tenten looked over at her partner. He was sitting upright with a book obscuring half his face, not even looking back.
"I'm not ready. Can I go home first?"
"No"
"I'm telling Gai-Sensei on you!"
"Hm"
"Waaahhhh"
12 hours earlier...
Tsunade looked at the two shinobi in front of her. I guess they'll do
"I got a mission for you two. The Wisteria Inn has hired us to investigate a series of disturbances that's occurred over the last 6 months. They didn't think too much of it at first, but now it's starting to affect business. There has been reports of uncleaniless."
"What does that mean?" Kakashi asked.
"It means ghosts!" Tenten quickly cleared up, feeling excited, but also frightened.
"Yes. The owner said that the guests were being terrorized by some unnatural source. But it only happens to couple in the western wing. That's where you two come in. You'll act as a couple on their honeymoon and stay in the haunted room."
"Can I switch with someone else? I don't think I'm cut out for this one." Tenten asked hopefully.
"No can do. This is what you get for being late this morning. Enjoy your stay and remember to catch the ghost." Tsunade smiled and dismissed them.

6 hours earlier
Kakashi and Tenten stood in front of a beautiful wooden building with a gentle curving roof. The signboard read "Wisteria Inn" with a craving of a wisteria branch on it. Making their way inside, they were greeted by an older woman in a navy kimono.
"Welcome, I'm Yui, proprietor of Wisteria Inn." She did a little bow to welcome them.
"Yui-San, we're from Konoha, here to look into the incidents that's been going on. I'm Tenten and this is Kakashi-san."
"Ah, I wasn't expecting you so soon, but I'm glad you're here."
"Can you tell us what kind of things you've seen."
"I haven't seen it personally. But the guests have report seeing a woman with a ghastly pale face and long black hair in the corridors. Some guests have been woken up by her singing. Once we're notified, we've found no trace of said woman."
Tenten silently cried in her heart again. She didn't sign up for this. She peeked over at Kakashi and saw that the story didn't affect him as all.
"Yui-San, we understand" Kakashi calmly informed her. Yui then got one of the staff to show Tenten and Kakashi to the room on the west wing. A cute teenager came forward and introduced herself.
"Hi! I'm Kiki, please follow me. So what brings you to our inn?"
"We're just celebrating our honeymoon. Don't tell anyone, but we had to elope. My father was against it, but what can I do. Love is love. My mother told us to come back after we have the baby. Said my father will accept us then."
Kakashi: (o_O)
"That's so romantic! You guys look really cute together!"
"Aren't we? See, dumpling, someone supports our love." Tenten held in her laughter. When else will she get the chance to tease and humiliate him.
"Here we are, please enjoy your stay! Akane will be by later with your meal." Kiki respectfully bow after opening the sliding door to their room and retreating. The room was spacious with a low wooden table and seating mats. The bedding hadn't been laid out yet, but there was a pair of yukatas for them to change into.
"Hm, we got a few hours till nightfall. What do you wanna do, sugarplum?" She winked at him teasingly.
"..."
"Hahaha, I was thinking of the hot spring."
Present
"Did you hear that?"
"There wasn't a noise..."
"Are you sure? I definitely heard something."
"There wasn't..."
Tenten looked around the dark room. Now that the sun went down and everyone retired to their rooms, the quiet settled. Every little noise made Tenten nervous, thinking anything could pop out at her suddenly. She was starting to sweat under the blanket so she threw it away.
la la la la la la
Faster than lightning, she jumped at Kakashi and become an octopus. Her limps like tentacles attached to his head and body.
"Did you hear that?!"
"Tenten...can you get off my back. Your hands are covering my eyes."
"No way! The ghost is gonna get me."
He moved her hands slightly to regain his vision. There wasn't much he could do about her as a whole. She seems very determined to just stick to him.
hummmm di do da di da da
He heard it this time so he jumped up and opened the door to catch where the singing was coming from.
"There! I saw something!" Tenten, still attached to him, pointed over his shoulder to the left corridor. Kakashi ran as she instructed and as they turned the corner, they saw it. Or more accurately, the flee shadow of a woman with long hair trailing.
"Get your wires." He ordered as he continued chasing that shadow. She nodded and prepared as they closed in on the figure. Once closed enough, Tenten threw her wires out skillfully to wrap around their ghost. Her wires hooked on and she yanked the ghost back. With a thud, the ghost landed at their feet. Just as the guests had described, it indeed was a woman with a ghastly face and long black hair, but not a ghost!
"KIKI!"
No response, seems as though she fainted.
"Ah, so it's like that..." Yui said as she listened to Tenten explain the whole situation.
The situation was as follows: Kiki, having a tendency to sleepwalk, would wonder into the west wing at night. It only got worse when she got new meds, they made her sing as well. As for her ghastly face? Well she put on thick face cream every night for skin care. No one looks normal with a layer of cream on their face.
"I'm glad that's over. No more supernatural missions!" Tenten exclaimed as they made their way back to the Hokage tower.
"So you didn't have fun, Dumpling?"
"Hehe...well that part was fun."
"Don't worry, I'll volunteer us for all supernatural missions, sugarplum."
"NO! Please, Sensei, I know my wrongs!"
