War of the Worlds…
It had been a total of 10 years since Sam Flynn's last adventures on The Grid, created by his father, the iconic and legendary video game genius-creator Kevin Flynn or he's known simply as… Flynn. Now, he's been engulfed within the corporate world of remastering ENCOM (aka his father's company) and restructuring the company, from top to bottom. With his long-time girlfriend by his side, soon-to-be-his fiancé, a former ISO named Quorra… He had been so wrapped up, in his corporate responsibilities and with try-hard efforts of training Quorra in the realities of the human world; the Grid had only crossed his mind, two or three times, at most… However bleak it seemed, for Sam Flynn, he was about to blessed, yes, blessed! Shall we proceed? YES INDEEDY!
Now, for anyone who has read any of fanfics [Sukai Todd: Yes, those two you read last night count…] for any amount of time; can try to guess where this is going… And, being the ever-so friendly person I am, I'll let you think you know what's going to happen next. But, I warn you with this phrase, that's become rather common in my stories and music now… Are you watching closely? Are you sure? Okay, so, back to Sam Flynn's blessing… And let me tell you, she is indeed a miracle, in her own right! Career-oriented, driven, passionate, imaginative, and not afraid to get coffee on the drop of a dime… What more could you want for Sam Flynn's newest hire secretary and old friend? Granted, she was older now… She's 24, Sam is close to his 37th birthday; so, yes, there's that age-gap. But, we'll get more into that later… "Sam, you seem overworked…" Alan Bradley (*Tron Legacy's "Son of Flynn" Theme Plays by Daft Punk*) explained, watching Sam chug an entire miniature cup of hot coffee. "Yea, Alan, thanks for the reminder." Sam nodded, seeing the chip from the Grid on his chain, now attached to his workpants belt-buckle loop blinking softly. "You need an assistant." Alan had been pushing this idea, for a while… "I need a new way to show Quorra, how much I appreciate her…" Sam joked, half-jokingly. "What? The moves you learned on The Grid no longer working on her?" Alan chuckled. "Guess not… She's been extremely distant, lately. Maybe, I am overworked…" He steadily agreed with Alan. "But, who is this assistant? Don't tell me, it's some childish Tron fan…" Sam thought aloud, only to pause and feel his eyes glowing in the same way they did 10 years ago when his identity disc was first encoded into his old Lightsuit… "What's wrong, Mr. Flynn?" Sukai Todd's beautiful, innocent, gloriously pure and unwaveringly heartwarming, soulwrenching smile made Sam's heart and mind go into a frenzy. "I wouldn't call her childish, childlike maybe… But, she's not a token assistant… Don't take her for granted, Sam. That's all I ask…" Alan nodded as Sukai walked into the office and shook hands with Alan. "A pleasure, Mr. Bradley, Chairman and CEO of ENCOM…" She shook his hand and nodded to him. "The pleasure's mine, my friend. And this is my surrogate son, the CTO and 2nd in Command, Sam Flynn." Alan smirked smugly at Sam… "Nice to meet you, Mr. Flynn…" Sukai placed her hand out for him to shake, politely. "Sam?" Alan caught him with the radiation within his eyes as he blinked a few times, shaking it off with a quick head shake… [Sukai: Cause the haters still gonna hate, hate, hate…] "Huhh? Hmm… Ahem! Ms. Todd? Yes, yes, it's a pleasure… It's a pleasure, to meet you…" Sam shook her hand, as they both felt sparkles flying in between them. What is this feeling? I – I've never felt my heart so in-synch with my brain… I've seen the sunrise, Quorra… But this is something I've never experienced, the Moon rising. The waxing moon! The dark side of a waxing moon, awakening in front of me… God, she's fucking beautiful! Sam noticed Sukai's dark, chocolaty, poetic eyes radiating a bright, electronic reddish hue for a couple of moments as he gripped her hand firmly. "Oh? The pleasure is mine, Mr. Flynn." She nodded blushing lightly, effortlessly brushing off her electric, hypnotic eyes… "Well, I trust you can train her in the programs?" Alan was quite the clever anti-protagonist, indeed! "Programs?" Sam sat back down, after gently releasing Sukai's hand. "For tomorrow? The board is expecting the review of software data for this quarter?" Alan asked slyly refreshing his memory. "Oh, yea, those programs…" Sam blushed sheepishly… "Yup, well, good night, Sam." Alan smoothly exited the scene, seemingly forgetting that a quarter had dropped from his hand, when he shook hands with Sukai. [Sam: That's pretty convenient… Sukai: Indeed.]

War of the Worlds… Pt.2: Rinzler Returns!
"Huhh? Oh? That's odd…" Sukai politely and respectfully bent down, picking up the quarter Alan had left on the ground; all whilst Sam silently and discreetly took her in backside in her Lolita-esque, onyx leather skirt, black undershorts, and black thigh-highs with shimmering, silver lining around the tops of the thigh-highs. "Mr. Bradley? He forgot this quarter…" She thought aloud, not noticing Sam eyeing from her the back… "Huhh?" Sam blushed coming back to earth, when she turned to face him. "Ahem… Yea, he has a habit of making small mistakes, like that…" Sam coldly thought aloud. "Oh? I – I'm sorry. Well, would you like to keep this quarter, Mr. Flynn?" She asked him sweetly, melting the ice he had tried to use to guard his heart. "I'm the CTO, what would I do with it?" He asked her directly. "Save it, for a rainy day?" She suggested with a heartwarming smile… "A rainy day?" Sam chuckled, very softly. "You've never heard that saying?" Sukai lifted an eyebrow. "Save it, for a rainy day…" Sam wondered aloud. "No, it goes like this, Mr. Flynn… If you find something lucky, a penny or a quarter, save it for a rainy day." Sukai explained, "Uhh, I'm gonna need you to stop that." Sam paused, seeing her standing in front of him, looking pure and innocent and respectable as fuck, despite her tight, perfectly fitted, onyx ensemble. "Stop what, Mr. Flynn?" She asked him clearly a bit confused… Turning me on, so easily! Damn it, girl, have you heard of Getting Lucky? Get Lucky by Daft Punk… Sam's train of thought almost carried him away only for him to control himself and respond in a respectful tone – "Just call me, Sam… There's no need, for such formalities with me. We're the same age, aren't we?" Sam chuckled, lightly. "I'm 24, Sir." Sukai politely corrected him… "Alright, you're just a decade or so younger than me… Don't call me, Sir, unless we're in a formal setting." He explained thoughtfully. "Fair enough, Sam… And a decade, isn't that bad. I think we can a learn a lot, if we're willing to work with one another?" Sukai's eager warmth was hard for him to process… "You're very bright and kind, Ms. Todd…" He thought aloud. "It's Skye…" She smiled lightly at him. "Skye? Pretty name…" Sam blushed a bit harder… "Thank you, Sam. You have a nice name, as well…" She complimented him sweetly. "It's generic, but thanks…" He chuckled, feeling comfortable effortlessly with Skye/Sukai…
It was too easy, almost too easy, their chemistry was flowing perfectly and effortlessly… All the whilst, back in the underground office, in Flynn's old Arcade in the seedier side of Seattle, Washington… Sparks were coming from the since abandoned, now 30-year-old disconnected computer system. The laser had been blinking on and off; and so, had Sam's Grid Chip. The part of his identity disc that was gifted to him by Flynn, before he departed the Grid, once and for all! Of course… "Well, I see you need more coffee?" Sukai had found herself sitting on a chair, in front of Sam. "Yes, hot coffee, plain with no cream or sugar." He nodded as Sukai silently nodded and headed over to the coffee machine. "Medium or large cup?" She asked him, a slight change in her sweet tones… "Large… What is it?" Sam asked her curiously. "Coffee without sugar, seems kind of bitter. But, that's simply my belief… I prefer iced coffee, myself though. To each his own…" She explained in a friendly tone. "What about coffee without cream?" Sam asked her, as she served him the large cup of coffee and had a found a bagel to give him a late-night snack… [Everyone (excluding Sukai): Wifey material! Sukai *eating the popcorn*: Huhh? Who is? Everyone *facepalming*…] "I guess, it's just a matter of personal preference…" She giggled innocently. "But, I prefer soda when I can have it." Sukai thought aloud, feeling oddly comfortable with Sam… "Well, there's a soda machine in the breakroom." Sam explained, "Yes, but it needs to be rewired…" She replied, thinking aloud. "Ah?" He sipped the coffee, licking his lips discreetly… "It won't deliver the sodas…" She added in a warm voice. "Ah, I'll tell the maintenance man to get on that, asap…" Sam agreed. "Thank you, Sam…" Sukai's tone and glistening chocolaty brown eyes made his soul burn and crotch throb… "Huh? Oh, no biggie…" He shook his head, hiding his blushing cheeks… "Well, I'm here until 9 A.M." She began, "Really? I'm here all the time…" Sam sighed, "Sorry…" He blushed. "It's no problem, I was just going to ask you what you'd like to me do, seeing as this is my first night here." Sukai took it with a tiny grain of dried salt… "Oh? Just be ready to refill the coffee…" He blushed harder. "Sam…" Skye gently placed her hand onto his wrist-watch, "Hmm?" He gazed at her, his hazel/blue eyes piercing her spirit in a uniquely Flynn fashion! "Weren't we supposed to be reviewing training programs, together?" Sukai asked him, curiously. "Huh? Oh, right… Well, since you asked, can you multiply?" He asked her sheepishly. "In math?" She giggled slightly… "Yea, in math! What?" He found himself lolling, at her question! Lolz... "Nothing… I can do math, just don't make me do trigonometry…" She giggled shyly. "Fair enough, can you handle technological math? Programming and stuff like that?" Sam finally opened his laptop and revealed all the data and programming paperwork he was finishing up. "Hand me that pen!" Sukai grinned warmly, as he handed her the nearest ballpoint, blue pin and some blank, printer paper-sheets. "Let's ace this game…" She smiled as they began crunching the numbers as well as the data and by the time 6 A.M. rolled around, they were fully finished with all the training programs for the 9 A.M. meeting. "Huahh… We did it!" Sam yawned, "Yup! High-five…" Sukai yawned, clearly half-asleep as they bro-fisted instead… "Hey, are you going to be okay?" He asked her, clearly concerned for her due to the intense lack of sleep she had been through. "I'm fine, don't worry about it…" Sukai nodded, using the table to force herself up from the chair only to slip on a slick part of the floor where the fancy, elongated table was… "Skye?" He gasped, catching her as she nearly hit the table and he gently pulled her into his arms. "So, Sam, Sukai; I was just coming to check in on you two… See how you two were doing? I... Ohh…" Alan had walked in, on Sam holding Sukai as she almost passed out on the table. Awkward… "I'll just leave you two alone." He closed the door, quickly. "Skye? Are you sure, you're okay?" Sam blushed as he saw her trying to force herself to stay awake. "I'm – I'm… Huaahhh… Fine…" She said through yawns that were scented in sweet, candy smells… "Come on, I'll take you home." He made his mind up, he may not be getting lucky, but he can at least, do the right thing! "Oh? Quorra… How are you doing?" Alan realized, Sam was in trouble if she saw him with Sukai, the way he had been helping her up… "Alan, it's important! It's about the Grid… I need to see Sam. Is he in here?" She asked, in an unusually urgent tone. "Uhh, he's not here… He left early last night…" Alan failed, epically! Or so it seemed… "But, I thought he's been working over time?" Quorra was suspicious. "Yes, yes…" Alan nodded, trying to prevent her from opening the door… "What's going on?" She demanded…
"Nothing, what's going on with you?" Alan chuckled, awkwardly only to slip and open the door, revealing that Sam had scooped Sukai up bridal-style and was heading out the backdoor-elevator… "Sam?" Quorra was astounded to say the bare minimum! "So, this is why you've been working overtime…" She felt betrayed, as any person would. "What?" Sam blushed confounded, only to realize what a mess he was in! "Quorra, it's not what you think." He tried to explain, "Oh, really?" She snapped coldly… "We've been up all night, crunching the numbers!" Sam tried to explain his point, to a completely detached and intensely distant Quorra. "Is that what you people call it? Crunching the numbers? Ya' know, when someone is unfaithful?" Quorra may have been part program, but she was all woman! 😉 😉 "No, Quorra… I swear, it's not like that!" Sam pleaded, "They were creating programing, Sukai's the new hire…" Alan tried to help Sam out. "Not helping." Sam snapped, "Not lying." He snapped back… "Look, we'll talk about this later, when I get home…" Sam told Quorra in a confident, colder tone. "Fine… We're over, Sam." She agreed reluctantly, slamming the door closed… "Huhhh…" Sam sighed, "What are you going to do with Ms. Todd?" Alan asked him, in a fatherly tone. "I'm taking her home, she needs some rest and so, do I. I'm dropping her off, Alan." Sam made it clear, he had no real intentions of banging her, though with his recent breakup moment – It sounds fucking nice, right now! He thought quietly, heading into the elevator as he carried Sukai bridal style in his arms and exited the ENCOM tower.
#03:
War of Hormones…
This time around, Sam found himself using a company car to drive Sukai to her apartment… Only to realize, she lived right across from Flynn's old, decaying arcade. "Ahh, great…" He sighed in frustration as he, parked his car in the apartment parking lot and took a now passed-out, sleeping Sukai into his arms bridal-style seeing the literal crossroad between her apartment and his father's old arcade… [Sam: This plotline is getting kind of unfair… Sukai *Cheerfully*: Exactly! :D 😉 😉…] "Huuhh… This is a bad idea, this is a bad idea, this is a bad idea…" He griped to himself, carrying her safely to the inside of the arcade and flipping the switch turning on all the games and the music. "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics was the first song to play… "I'm not getting lucky, I'm not getting lucky, I'm not getting lucky…" He kept telling himself, reassuring his own internal war of hormones! "Hmm?" He turned, seeing the main TRON by ENCOM opening for him and the door leading Flynn's old, abandoned office opening with some loud creaking for him and his current damsel (or boss bitch) in distress… "I'm not gonna regret this later…" He griped to himself, as he walked downstairs into the office, Sukai still sleeping peacefully in his arms. "I'm totally regretting this decision later." He admitted, as he fearlessly kicked the doors to the office open; only to find a shock! All the old, since-disconnected servers were sparking, electric waves were blasting everywhere prestigiously and the regular connection to the internet that had been connected to the Grid server was fully functioning! Perfectly...
"I'm not a Program, my name is Sam Flynn…" He confidently told himself, only to feel a powerful slap from the electrical waves spouting from the laser bringing him to his knees. "AHH!" He griped, his business cackie-pants being ripped in the knees, causing some slight scarring. "Hmm?" Sam asked, seeing the Grid Chip on his pant-loop sparking as he finally noticed the crescent moon on Sukai's onyx choker had a Chip in it as well, an orangish, bloodred one… "Skye…" He gently lay her in his lap and opened the Grid Chip he had, connecting it to the bell-shaped Grid Chip hidden in Sukai's choker. "Huhh?" Sukai gently blinked her eyes open, as she felt her eyes lighting up in a multi-colored rainbow of identity-disc style flashes! "Sukai!?" Sam gasped as the laser's electrical waves simmered down, momentarily… "Sam?" She blinked at him, as she placed her hand in front of his. "Are you… An ISO?" He asked her, directly. "Sam, I – I don't know what I am…" Sukai replied as their hands touched and he interlocked their fingers, instinctually. "If you're not a program, what are you?" He asked her confounded, only to help her up as he noticed there was a separate laser across from the one that had first transported him to the Grid, 10 years ago… "Ah, shit…" He snapped, as he bear-hugged Sukai and the two lasers collided blasting all sorts of bright, radiant, shockingly powerful hues of bloodred, orange, onyx, and TRON blues ala Into The Spider-Verse! "KYAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Sukai shrieked, as Sam felt their clothes blinking off and their lightsuits materializing onto their bodies. "Huhh?" She blushed, seeing him shirtless for a moment… "What's happening?" She asked as they stood up, hand-in-hand, Sam in his iconic motorcycle-lightsuit and Sukai in her pink-and-black catsuit with the perfect lights perfectly fitting her! "The Grid is colliding with our world! Which can only mean one thing…" Sam stated the obvious, obviously… 😉 😉 "We have two Portals to close…" Sukai thought aloud as Sam glanced at her, longingly. "Well, Daft Punk didn't retire their music-making from the human world for nothing…" She added, half-jokingly… "What am I supposed to do?" He asked her, "Trust me…" Sukai seemed to be more familiar with the ACTUAL Grid, than Sam originally fantasized about! Or something like that… 😉 😉
To Be Continued, Primitive Functions…
