Hello all! First and foremost, this story is based off another fanfiction titled "Sydney and the Sexy Swimsuit" by fellow fanfic author: "Just a Complicated Person", and works as a "what if" tale in which the last two scenes of their original story goes in a much more different direction. Please look up her original story. She was kind enough to give me permission to write this tale that takes her original story in this bold new direction, which I hope you all will like.
Sydney was crying in her room... she had been crying all afternoon... with her Dad at work and her Grandma at college, nobody had noticed the pain she was in. And she knew it was her fault. Her phone buzzed for the hundredth time... and it was the same person: Olive. She wanted with all her heart to answer, but what was she to tell her? That the situation she was in was all her fault? That she didn't say "no" when she should have?
A month and half earlier...
Sydney picked up her bathing suit from the floor and fixed it back on herself, her eyes teary, not because she was physically hurt but because she had ended up doing something she felt she was not only not ready to do but also that she expected to do in a place better than a closet and in a more romantic way. Tony on the other hand just laid there, smiling.
-Hey, don't cry, you were great.
Sydney sat and winced in pain, a certain part of her still hurting.
-I shouldn't have done this... WE shouldn't have done this...
Tony caressed her leg.
-Why not? You're a sexy girl... and you were really good...
Sydney felt the tears running down her cheeks.
-Stop making it look like I have done it before... it was my first time...
-Really? It didn't seem like that...
Sydney felt him push her down and get on top of her again
-wait... we just
The brunette felt him undoing the laces of her bathing suit again
-Wait… what are you… we just… why…
-shh...
Later that afternoon Sydney just sat under the shower, she knew she wasn't raped, the word itself scared her... but she also knew she had little to no control of all that had happened that day, she came back to herself when Judy called her for dinner.
-So, how was the pool today? - the woman asked
Sydney dropped her fork nervously
-W… why? D… did you hear something?
The elder woman looked puzzled.
-Was I supposed to hear something?
-No… of course not… it was… fine… just fine…
Sydney was in her room trying to sleep when she received a text from Tony.
"Hey beautiful, when are we doing it again?"
Upset and disgusted she closed her eyes, again she began to sob, the more time passed the more she felt dirty and upset for what she had done. The next day at school Olive was waiting for her.
-Sooo… are you going to tell me?
Sydney became nervous instantaneously
-T.. Tell… tell you what? What are you talking about?
-Your day at the pool yesterday of course!
The teenager's hands began to tremble… he couldn't have… could he? She was sure of where his hands were all the time (even if that disgusted her) so the possibility of a video of what had transpired between them in the closet was remote… or was it? What if he had a camera hidden there before he took her? What if he was showing her around as a trophy?
-SYDNEY!
Scared, nervous and anxious Sydney could only scream and slam shut her locker door… with her hand still there. Olive went pale at the scream that came out from her best friend and seeing her go down to her knees in pain and crying, after that it was a trip to the nurse's office, then an ambulance and after the emergency room where the first to arrive was her grandma.
-My noodle, are you OK?
-Yeah… I… broke my wrist with the locker door…
-It was my fault grandma Judy… I yelled at her…
-It was an accident Olive… - Sydney said
Suddenly a nurse came in.
-Miss Reynolds your boyfriend is here
Sidney's eyes opened wide, Olive did the same and so did Judy.
-M… My… my boyfriend?
The door burst open and in came Tony
-Love, what happened?
-I… I… it was… an accident and…
Judy glared at the much older boy who was caressing her granddaughter's hand.
-Sidney would you care to introduce us?
-I… this… this is Tony… my… my boyfriend…
Olive was speechless, she knew that if Sydney ever had a boyfriend she would be first to know. At the same time Tony walked towards Judy and shook her hand.
-Nice to meet you Mrs. Reynolds
Jody shook his hand and glared at her. Later that afternoon Sydney was alone in her room when Judy knocked.
-Hi Grandma… thank you for not telling Dad about Tony and…
-Sydney who is he really?
-What? He.. He's my b… boyfriend…
Judy shook her head.
-I hope you can trust me more… - she said as she got up from the bed where she had sat and walked out
Sydney felt the tears run down her face. But if she thought that the mistrust of her grandmother and having her best friend upset with her were the worst of her problems, she had another thing coming as, as weeks went by she realized that a certain something in her daily attire remained clean when it was past the time when she should have replaced it. As she showered she tried to shrug it off. Fortunately for her, in a certain way, Tony decide to leave her alone for a while, but all began to take a turn to the worse one morning when, the very moment she set foot on the floor she felt the need to run to the bathroom and have a second look to what she had for dinner the previous night. Judy heard her and came in to help her.
-Are you OK noodle? You better stay home for the day.
-I… I'm fine… I just… think… I dunno know… something I ate yesterday got me sick…
But the same thing happened the following days, and more… as she was getting her math book from her locker everything suddenly went black and if it wasn't for Sophia who was passing by she would have probably hit her head on the floor. When her eyes opened again she was in the nurse's office.
-w… what… what happened?
Suddenly she saw Olive jump from a chair nearby.
-Sydney! Sydney I'm so sorry… please tell me you're OK…
The brunette sat in the stretcher where she laid.
-yes… a little dizzy but yes…
The nurse walked in at that precise moment.
-Sydney I called your Dad, he'll pick you up in a few minutes and you'll go home and rest OK? I think you're exhausted.
Later that day Sydney dialed the pharmacy number and made an order… she was almost 14… and she was not stupid… the morning sickness… the faiting… her feeling too tired everyday… when the doorbell rang she ran to the door and greeted the envoy who glared at her.
-T… they're for… my mom…
A few minutes later she was sitting in her bed crying… her suspicions only got confirmed as, beside her on the bed laid a white piece of plastic with a rectangle on it… in the middle, two pink lines were the sole witnesses of the drama that was beginning to unfold…
To be continued...
