Chapter One: The new students
It was a ordinary monday at the Thomas-Edison-School. As the bell rings to the first lesson, Miss Moony knocks on her desk. " Kids, please be quiet! We become two exchange students for some weeks, be friendly and say hello to them!" Alvin, who talks to Simon, paused, suprised. Then he grin conspiratorially and bows with a hand held up to his brother. " I hope, it would be some sweet girls!" He whispers a bit louder with purpose, to tease a specific person. Brittany, who sits beside him with her sisters, frowns. She gives him with a disaproving look. He smirks at her and winks. He teases her with flirting and compliments for other girls, to his amusement it makes her upset. Both had a crush on each other and since a week they are a couple, officially, but both taunt each other with some pleasure. Sometimes he thinks she s a Diva or Dramaqueen. Though, he had a total crush on her. Both talked last christmas holidays and admitted their feelings for each other ( More or less by mistake), started dating and be tight together now, and it works. Miss Moony´s voice tores him from his thoughts. " Well, here they are!" Everyone looked through the door, as a girl and a boy came in. Now they all pause for a moment. The girl was a chipmunk. She was about the same size as Jeanette, the tallest of the chipettes, and slim. Her big brown eyes and her black-brown hair, that reaches over her shoulders, emphasize the pretty face with the pout. She wears a mexican blouse with embroidered flowers pattern in purple, red and blue. To that she wears grey pants with black-blue-striped sneakers and a trekking backpack on her shoulders. She smiles a bit shy to the class. Alvin finds, she´s sweet, indeed. The boy was tall, has green eyes and darkbrown hair, too. With his narrow nose and cheeks it seems that some of the girls liked it. Alvin hears, tht someone behind him whispering. " Uh-huh, is he cute!" A giggle answers. " Yesss, i hope he has no girlfriend!" A lovesick sigh from another girl. " He got so sweet eyes!" Now there´s more giggeling in the back. The boy wears an black shirt with green flame pattern ooen over a white sport shirt with jeans and sneakers with black stripes, his backpack hanging over one shoulder. He smiles timid, too, what brings on more giggeling. Alvin squinted to the chipettes, all three looks at the two new kids. Jeanette smiles shy like everytime an Eleanor looks sceptical. Brittany looks at the boy from down to sbove, pursed her lips and makes a Rellay-Sweet-face, then she smirks at Alvin. He rolles his eyes, now she wanted to make him upset. He looks forward and eyeballing the girl. This was a game for two. Both kids introducing themselves now. The girl starts. " Hola, my name is Juanita Montoya, and that´s my little hermano..." The boys smiles. " ...Cody Montoya, the little brother! We´re from New Mexico!" Then the girl continued. " Should we tell something about us, Miss Moony?" The teacher nodes, Juanita goes on. " We stay here with our uncle and aunt. I love athletics and be in the cheerleading team at our school. I want to join the team here if i can!" Brittany raise her hand. " Hi, i..." She looked at both. "...am Brittany Miller., the captain of the cheerleading team our school. I told you later when we practice!" Juanita laughed and clapped her hands. Alvin notices, that Brttany turnde around to the girls behind her. " And then she could tell a bit about her cute brother!" Alvin grummbled. Again he heared the girls giggle. Now Cody started. " I love to play Basketball , i hope i can join the team here!" Now Sean, captain of the basketball team, raised his hand. " I´m Sean Collins, team captain! We practice two times a week, come to me later!" Cody nodes. " Thanks, man! Oh, my sister and i love dance partys! I hope, there is a chance to dance Salsa or rumba!" Sighs and giggles comes nearly of al the girls in the class. " He can dance!" " Uh-huh, a boy that dances Salsa!" Whispering and giggeling comes again. Cody smiles, Juanita rolled her eyes annoyed and shakes her head with a grin. Obviously she´s used to be with the attention for her brother. That many of the boys starred at her, she maybe don´t realize or she ignores it. She taps her brother with annoyed look in her eyes and makes a slow-down-festure with her hand, he shrugs innocently. Alvin gives his brothers a knowing look. Cody shoudl be a heartthrob,great. That would be something. Then he heared a well known and hated girl voice. " Saturday in two weeks is the Valentins-Ball! Do you know, who will be your date, Cody? I have no date and be the best choice!" Missy Snootson. Alvin shakes his head. Brittany could be very complicated sometimes, but Missy was much more. And more, more mean, a witch and ver sneaky. He saw, that Brittany throwes a angry look behind. Both girls hate each other so much. And that since the day they first met. Alvin didn´t like Missy too. Now she looks at Cody and smiles. " I´m the prettiest girl here!" Horrified gaps and whispers comes from some girls. Brittany snorts. " Dream on!" Alvin makes a face. The catfight starts again. Miss Moony intervenes. " Kids, stop it! Both are new, don´t overcome them!" Someone giggles again. " Oh, over him i want to fall upon!" More giggeling follows. Cody makes an innocent face. " Valentine-Ball? sounds great! And a date for that, not now? Well, here some cute girls!" Juanita facepalmed. " Oh nada, Cody!" The whole thing was embarassing for her, as it seems. Again the girls giggle, than one of them calls. " Which girls are cute? Me? Do you have a girlfriend?" Cody smiles and closes his eyes for a second. " Well, that´s not easy! And no, i have no gi...!" Juanita rolles with her eyes again and intrupts him. " Cody, stop it, you know how this ends!" She whispers to him, but he didn´t her it. " You, that asked before, you´re cute at all! And there are many cute girls, as i say, not easy. For example, the three cuties here in front...!" Now all three chipettes looked up at the same time, he smiles toward them. Jeanette blushed, Eleanor giggles and Brittany begins to grin. All girls in the room sighs dreamily. Man, that guy has it! Alvin grumbled angrily. He got the reputation as a heartthrob, but this was a lot too much. He gives Brittany a annoyed look, she ignores it. She blinks with her eyes and played with her hair, while she was looking at she tries to make him mad. Her sister Eleanor smiles, too. Juanita pushes him in the side. " Shut up, hermano!" Cody scratches his head. " Okay, okay, hermana! Miss Moony, where are our tables?" Before the teacher could say something, it becomes restless in the room. " Cody, you can sit down here!" " Cody, here near to me is a seat free!" Juanita grumbles and pushes her brother to a table behind Theodore, she seats herself behind the chipettes. Immediately a letter with a red heart on it lands on her table. She gasps, takes it and throws it behind. On Cody´s table landing a lot of letters, he reads them all with a smile. His sister coughs annoyed and shakes her head. Over the lesson all the girls looks dreamily to him from time to time, even the chipettes. Most of the time Cody didn´t notice, and when he did, he smiles back with a shy look. Alvin grumbles again, even his brothers and most of the other boys gave Cody an annoyed look. Juanita noticed and makes an apologizing face. When she´s not busy with answering questions by the other girls. Of course all questions about her brother. And she realizes more and more, that some of the boys stares at her. But she ignores it. Avin smirks, she plays the unapproachable. All pretending.
As the lesson ends and the kids leave the classroom, Alvin gives Brittany an annoyed look. " Very funny, Brittany, it was not ni-" She interupts him, when she linked her arm with his and pinches him in the nose. " I have to retaliate your talking about sweet girls, my dear Alvie! You know me!" He nodes resignated. They have no bigger arguments or fights with each other, but sometimes they still tease each other. And a new nickname for him, Alvie. When they both walked down the hallway, he throws an annoyed look behind, as Cody and Juanita leave the classroom. " A heartthrob, oh man! And the unapproachable, what a dynamic duo!" Brittany smiles. " I don´t know, seems he didn´t notice how they all praise him! And you were called a heartthrob too! Several times heartthrob of the year!" He gives her an uncertain look. " That´s over!" He starts counting on his fingers. " First, last year i lose against Theodore!" " You and Simon acting out like idiots!" She iterrupts. He rolled with his eyes. " I know, i know! Second, Tanya and Celina of the committee told me that i can´t take part of the competition anymore because i have a girlfriend! New rule! And third, and most importantly, i have conquered the heart of the most amazing girl, i know! And i don´t want to break it!" Brittany smiles. " Do i know her? Is she beautiful?" She teases. He grins. " Maybe! She´s unbelievable sweet, very beautiful, with auburn hair and really cute blue googly eyes! Only sometimes she´s a little diva and dramaqueen! But otherwise..." He giggles. Brittany shakes her head and gives him a joking clout. " You are one for me, Alvie!" He nodes and lookes back to the two new kids. Some girls surrounds Cody, his sister walks on, with a annoyed look in her face. Alvin rolles his eyes. " How they all get crazy! Would you say he´s sooo cute, too?" Brittany laughs and pinches him in the arm. " Don´t be silly, he´s just cute, but you are my Valentine-Ball-Date! And my Boyfriend! Relax, Alvie!" Alvin smiles. " Okay, okay! Now i´m eased!" Brittany smirks. " But the sister is sweet, isn´t she?" Alvin sighs. " Well, a bit!" She squints her eyes, he shrugs. " Yes, she´s sweet, but that´s all! I just got enough time for one girlfriend! Where should i put a second one?" Brittany shakes her head and laughs. " I think, with her you got no chance!" Alvin waving off. " I make no bet about this! Romantic is to precious!" He smiles at his girlfriend. " And i don´t want some trouble with the girl of my dreams! She has played football, you know!" He takes her hand, she kissed him on his cheek. They both run to their lockers, giggeling.
During lunch break Brittany, the other cheerleaders and Juanita sitting in the schoolyard. Sally, one of the cheerleader, pelting the new girl with questions. " Your brother is amazing! And he got no girlfriend, really? He´s sooo cuteee!" Everyone giggles, Juanita waves off. " Please, can we talk about the cheerleading practice? The thing with my brother is so akward for me!" Brittany raise her hand and ends up the giggeling. " Okay, okay! Girls, lets stop with talking about Cody, i know we like it! So, on wednesday evening we practice at the same time as the basketball team and on thursday alone, always at the gym. And when a game comes up, saturday morning, but not the next few weeks! We meet half an hour before practice in front of the gym. Where do your uncle and aunt live? Hope it´s not to far!" Juanita waves up. " Twenty minutes from here!" She claps her hands. " I can´t await the practice!" Sally giggles. " And on wednesday we can cheer for the team! Especially your bro-!" Brittany interrupts her. " SALLY! Juanita beg us to stop this! You can adore him on wednesday! But Juanita, you impressed some of the boys too!" The other girls giggled again, Juanita shrugs. " That´s not so important for me! I´m the older one and more rational!" Brittany nodes. " More rational definitely! But how did you come to your family?" Juanita smiles, no wonder, the boys liked her, she was sweet. " Our parents adopted me from an orphanage, when mom was pregnant with Cody! The best that ever happenend to me in my life!" Brittany sighs. " The orphanage, that´s where my sisters and me started too! A luck this lies behind!" Then she knocks on the table. " Okay ladies! Lunch break ends soon, lets go through the line up for wednesday! Stacy and Irene you two stay on the left..." Junita gets a position, too, what makes her glad. Only the confusion with Cody, it gives her gripes. As always.
When Juanita walks to the library near the end of the lunch break, she hears someone calling her name. She turns around. Alvin walks toward her, it seems he´s angry. She sighs, certainly something about her brother. She gives him a shy smile, as he stops in front of her. For a moment he looked confused, than he winks and looked angry at her again. That she make boys react like that, doens´t make this all easier. She takes a breath. " What´s up, Alvin?" He grumbles. " It´s about your brother! This lesson all of the girls flirting with him again! And Kelly cancelled her Date for the Valentine-Ball with Roderick, she wants your brother as her date! He´s bad, a real heartthrob!" Juanita gives him a death glare. " STOP! TAKE THAT BACK! CODY IS A LOT, BUT NO HEARTHROB! THE ONLY HEART THAT BREAKS, IS HIS IN THE END!" Alvin flinches. " So-sorry Juanita, but he´s been flirting with all of them!" She sighs. " But not with bad intensions, he didn´t know better! Cody is unbelievable naive around girls! He thinks, they all be nice and happy, when he compliments them. He only wants to be liked, especially by the sweet girls. He don´t want to disappoint them. And i fear, he falls for one of the girls hopelessly. And then she breaks his heart, if she want or not, that doesn´t matter anyway! And than he is sad for a long time!" She buried her face in her hands and sobs. " I have to protect him, my little hermano! But i can´t!" Then she starts to cry, tears running over her face. Alvin felt guilty, this was not his goal. He puts his hand on her arm. " Sorry, i didn´t know! Can i do something? Maybe i talk to him! From man to man?" Juanita sobs again. " That doesn´t work, he don´t understand it! One time some boys tried to beat him up, but Cody knows how to defend himself. But against heartache, he can´t protect!" Alvin gulps. " I...could talk with the boys, to tell them what´s the matter. So that they don´t were angry anymore!" Juanita wipes her eyes. " That, that would you do?" She smiles cute behind an strand of her hair, Alvin smirks. " Well, if he gets trouble for nothing! I wasn´t very friendly too!" Juanita takes a tissue out of her backpack and blows her nose. " This would be nice! I hope, your date isn´t ruined because of Cody!" He shakes his head. " No, everything´s fine! Brittany is very sane!" Juanita giggles. " The one of the cheerleaders?" Alvin nodes, she continues. " Yes, she slowed the others down in their enthusiasm! She is pretty and ver nice, you`re lucky!" Now he stars to giggle. " Well, it depends if she´s in a good mood or didn´t get something she wants! We get along well, but sometimes...!" Juanita raise her eyebrows. "It´s said, the quarrel of lovers...!" She chuckles. Alvin blinks. " Uhm, well, we are a couple, so!" He changes the subject. " You wanna go to the library?" She looked at him. " It´s okay, if you don´t wanna talk about it! You chicos talk rarely about emotions, except Cody! I need a book for history. I have no time after the sports lesson!" Alvin straightens his cap. " Where is your brother, by the way?" She shrugs as they enter the library. " Last time i saw him he talked with Stacy, i think! I hope she has no date for the dance!" Alvin shakes his head. " I don´t think so, she waits to the last moment ever time! When no one ask her out until the dance, she gets panic!" Juanita chuckles, while she hands the women at the receptions desk a paper. " Buenos dias, i need a book about the indepence war please!" The women nodes and checks her computer. Juanita turns to Alvin. " What are you guys doing in sports actually?" He grins. " Running, running, and, of course, running! But for me, Brittany and Eleanor it´s a piece of cake!" Juanita takes her book and let the women stamps her library card. " Short track? And around the field? Is mine too! Lets see, how fast you guys are!" Alvin smirks. " Faster than all the other boys!" Now the girl from New Mexico laughs loud. " No boy for my sake, but no girl too?"
They had to take the whole track around the field again. Soon most of the kids felt back behind Alvin, Brittany and Eleanor, who runs similar. Only Sean of the basketball team, Tommy and Fred were right behind them. When Alvin looks to the side, Juanita takes place beside them and smirks. Eleanor raises an eyebrow respectfully. You can´t tell how fast Juanita was by looking at her. They taken the half of the track before the most of the others. And nearly a complete round before the not so fit kids, Theodore was one of them. He gasps for air, running wasn´t his thing. Well, not all of them could be great athletes. Alvin speeds up, as Brittany does so. If she wants, she could be as fast as him, and the same in strength. It annoiyng him sometimes. He squinted at Juanita, it seems she gives a yawn. She winks at him. " Ha, is that all, chico and chicas?" Then she speeded up. And how she speeded up. Alvin never saw someone running like that. The slim girl nearly flies over the track. Neither Alvin, Brittany and Eleanor could follow. Soon Juanita takes the whole round and passes Theodore. He looks confused, as she grins at him and waves. She said something to him, but Alvin was to far away to hear it. But he sees, that Theodore nodes and tried to get a bit faster. Juanita goes on and reches the finish line. She takes a seat on the gras, heavy breathing, the coach nodes respectfully. Brittany, Alvin and Eleanor ending their round shortly after each other. When Alvin lokks back, he saw that Cody was close behind Sean. He was fast, too. Though, some of the boys gave him a grim look, but Alvin had explained the most of them that Cody didn´t make anything with bad intensions. Fortunately, only Kelly cancelled her Date for him. Seemingly Cody rejects the invitation of Sally, what makes her very sad. She trots through the finish line with the other stragglers, even Theodore passed her on the last part of the track. Gasping he felt on the gras. " What`s...the...matter...with...Sally? She´s...so...fast...all...the...time?!" Alvin shakes his head. " She wanted Cody as her Date for the ball, he rejects!" And Cody looks like he felt very guilty. Man, that guy was sensible. Alvin could imagine now, what happens to him when a girl dumps him or breaks his heart, if he gets sad about rejecting a girl`s invitation. Cody and his sister had a discussion now, in which Juanita rebukes him with a serious look on her face. Brittany steps beside Alvin. " It should be embarrassing for him, to rejct Sally!" Alvin nodes. " I had a talk with Juanita at the library. Cody get a crush for a girl very fast and get dumped then!" She gives him a questioning look. " Sounds, he´s very naive!" Alvin sighs. " Of course, and for Juanita it´s no pleasure too!" Both looked embarrassed to the siblings. Cody takes a deep breath and walked away, Juanita sighs and comes over to them. " He felt sorry for Sally! But he want to the dance with another girl!" She rolles with her eyes. " He has a crush already!" Alvin smirks. " Your brother´s fast with that! sorry, it´s not funy! Do you know who it is?" Juanita waves up. " Never mind, it´s a bit...special! Unfortunately, i don´t know who it is! He only told me she was unbelievable sweet! That´s all i know!" Brittany frowns. " And what now?" Juanita takes a hand to her chin. " In the next days he asks her out for a date, watching a movie or gong to the ice cream parlor, the usual! And he should ask her for the ball!" " And that girl should be his crush definetly?" Alvin asked. Juanita nodes, unhappy. " Every time the same! I hoped until now, that it doesn´t happen, or maybe not so fast! My hermano is just to nice!" Brittany chuckles. " Most of the boys here should be a little bit nicer!" She gives Alvin a glance, with a big grin on her face. He grumbles and rolled his eyes. " I have improved myself!" She chuckles again. " That´s right, you improved yourself!" She smiles, than she gets serious. " Okay, what to do now? We must help Juanita with her brother, but how?" Alvin makes a thinking face, when Eleanor and Theodore came over, simon and Jeanette stood beside them, already. Jeanette looks to Simon. " Poor Cody! If we know who he asks...!" Now the all thought on. Simon shakes his head. " I don´t see an option! If he doens´t tell his sister!" Juanita rubs her nose. " Wel, we have to wait until he asks her and hope, she´s nice!" Brittany blinks. " When, only when, he asks me out i try to tell him friendly that i´m not interested. Your brother´s cute, but that´s all! I have a date already!" Juanita was the only one who notices that alvin grins for a second. She keeps back a giggle. " Okay, thanks chica! Now we have to wait and watch!"
On wednesday Cody didn´t ask someone for a date, but rejects almost the invitation of three girls. Two cheerleader and Kelly. Alvin and Brittany fixed it, that Kelly and Roderick make up and went to the ball together. It was hard work. Roderick had been very angry, Kelly was ashamed. She was dazzled by Cody´s kind. And with every rejection he felt guilty and told his sister about his pain. Juanita talked about that with Brittany and Alvin, which she befriends in the last days. Both get along well with her. It seems, that she´s more than sporty and sweet. She was smart and she could be very funny, as long as she don´t get worried about her brother. As Brittany invites her to a girl´s night with the chipettes on friday, she makes a joyful leap. She likes the three girls and gets very happy, when they gave her a signed tape with their best songs as a present. She listen to it up and down on her walkman, which she carries with her all the time. She knows their music and ownes some of their albums. Cody otherwise get no connection with the boys. Some are still mad about him, and Cody himself don´t bother a lot. Alvin and his brothers tried to talk with him during the breaks, but the boy was somewhere else with his thoughts. He spends a lot of time on the grass in the schoolyard and looks through the sky. Juanita told em, this was a sign that he had a crush and was dreaming. He was hopeless romantic. Some girls liked it, but some thought it was akward. Brittany shakes her head, when she and Juanita walked into the gym that evening. " I love romantic, but not the whole time! Than it´s nothing special anymore! Really, your brother is a dreamer! Nothing for me!" Juanita sighs. " He has a total crush! And really, when he got a girlfriend, she was overthrown with love and affection! He worship the ground she walks on! And this was too much for every girl after some time!" Brittany raises an eyebrow. " Phew, this is intense! And what kind of girls do your brother dating mostly, pretty, shy or...?" " Different, chubby girls that are sweet, were there ! And shy girls that stuck their noses in books! And sporty girls, that avoid makeup and so on!" Brittany groans. " Oh man, we got a lot of that! Especially my sisters...!" She thinks about Jeanette, who´s so shy and smart. And Eleanor, who got some problems with her weight. And though, very sporty. Brittany follows up. " And what is the reason that he get a crush on a girl?" Juanita shrugs as both get their Pompons. " He called it el toque, the breeze. He see the girl, and bang!" She giggles uncertain. Brittany smiles. " Sounds sweet, but this could happen with every girl he sees!" Juanita closed her eyes and sighs. " Dios mio, you say it!" A voice interrupts tehm. Liam, one of the basketball player, came over. He smiles unsure. " Hey Juanita, how are you? I...i w-wanna ask you if you want to go with me to the Valentine-Ball?" He was obviously nervous. Juanita smiles shy back. " That´s sweet, Liam! But i, uhm, have to reject your invitation. You´re really friendly and cute, but i´m not sure if i go to the ball! Perdono, i´m sorry!" Liam nodes and shuffles away, with a sad look on his face. Brittany smiles. " Not the first guy you reject or?" Juanita nodes. " I´m not in the mood for this at the moment, first i have to know what´s the matter with my brother!" Alvin came over to greet them both. He hugs Brittany, she gave him a kiss on the ceek, than he runs back to his team. Juanita greets her brother, as he walked by. He greets her back, what makes some of the other girls sigh. " HI CODY!" They shouted. Brittany getting in position in front of them. " STOP IT, LADIES! Now we have to practice! Get your positions!" The boys started their practice nearly the same time. Some of the girl`s hearts melting when they took a look at Cody until the practice. He wans´t that bad, he was fast and he throws good passes. Making points wasn´t his, this he leaves up to Alvin, Sean and Liam, who still looks sad after Juanitas rejection. But it seems he took mind of things. When he looks over, Brittany gets the impression that he wanna impress Juanita. He even gives her brother a high-five and talks with him. Typical boys, showw off in any case. The girls practices their cheers, Juanita did very well, she was fast, skilled and acrobatic. The girls praises her and laughs with her, this time without talking about her brother. It was about Juanita herself, Brittany was glad about that. The excitement about Cody slowed down eases up. She noticed, that stil some of the guys gives Cody a grim look. Some guys of other classes were here, too. Cody had some admirer beside their class, the rumors spreaded around quickly. But Brittany knows this by Alvin and herself. Both were popular and got groupies. Well, she thought, popularity had it´s price. She turned to the girls. " Okay, lets have a break! Not bad at all! Irene, get your position stronger! Sally, a little bit faster at the end! Junita, Laura, well done! We´re on a good way, but there goes more!" She sits down and stretched out her feet. Juanita tkaes place beside her. " Chica, this makes fun! You make more cheers than my cheerleader squad at home! Muy bien!" She laughs, Brittany get along. She likes that girl, she gets well with them. Sweet, sporty, smart and a heart of gold. How she cares for her brother. Brittany thought about that. After the matter with mister Flowers last summer vacation Brittany get sick. The doctor said she would recover until the first day of school, but she did sooner and tried to enjoy the last days. But then it turned out differently. In a conversation Brittany talked bad about farm life, what ends up with her spending some days on a farm. In the end she gets new point of view by that. Then she understand, that it´s not only about beauty and fame. Helping others and be there for someone was important too. Since then she tried to be more friendly and don´t to be the best one in everything. It´s not that easy, but even her sisters noticed, that she became a bit...nicer. And she had to admit, it won´t hurt. And she get more control about her fiery temper. Especially when Alvin show off or starting some mischief, she holds back. It´s not easy, but when she reaches one point, it get wel. Her thoughts were interrupted, when a fight starts on the field. One of the boys, Harper, stands in front of Cody, with clenched fists. " My girlfriend sitting there and adores you! STOP FLIRTING WITH HER!" Cody looks surprised. Harper was the boyfriend of Laura, who really adores Cody, since they were here. Alvin and Sean tried to held Harper back. " Stop it, Harper, that doesn´t help!" Cody shrugs. " If the girls smile at me, i smile back!" Brittany facepalmed. Juanita runs to her brother, with Laura close behind her. The girl stops in front of her boyfriend. " Stop it! Nothing happens, honey!" Harper eases a bit, it works when Laura called him honey. She hugs him. " I´m with you because i like you! That i look at a cute guy doesn´t mean anything!" She snuggles up to him, he smiles a bit embarrassed. " So-sorry! I was afraid about losing you!" Both stayed there for a moment. Cody scratches his head. " I´m sorry if you guys get the wrong impression! Uhm, there is a girl i like! And, and she´s no cheerleader!" Now some of the girls sighs sadly. Juanita hisses out. " Well, this is something!" She looks over to Brittany, who nodes with a smile and linked her arm with Alvin. He relaxes a bit. " This was close!" Juanita gives her brother a look and held up her finger. " Be ore careful, next time this goes wrong! And please, tell me who is that girl! You didn´t know if she likes you as you like her! Por favor, hermano!" Cody shakes his head. " No, hermana, i have to aks her by myself! When i told you now, you say no again! When i don´t hear it from her, then, then..." He sighs. His sister waves her amrs around him and hugs him. " I don´t you to be hurt by someone! Why your are so unbelievable sweet? It cuases problems everytime! I love you, but i can´t protect you all the time, little brother!" Both hold for a moment, than Cody dissolves and nodes. " I know and i´m very glad to have a sister like you! I ask the girl tomorrow. I think she´s very nice. If she said no, not in a mean way!" Juanita rubs over his head, then he runs back to the team. Brittany wipes her eyes with a smile. " You both so sweet, you´re a great big sister!" Juanita smiles thankfully. Alvin grins, when Brittany get back to the other cheerleaders. The girls are totally confused. Laura and Juanita get back to their positions, Brittany claps her hands. " SO LADIES! The show is over, time for some work!" The practice goes on.
In the first break next morning when most of the kids were on the hallwy, when Cody closes his locker, takes a deep breath and walked on. Juanita bites her lips, as she saw him. She was nervous. Brittany holds her hand to calm her down. She hopes that Cody didn´t get a crush on the wrong girl. Not Missy, this would be a disaster. Some of the girls looking expectant what Cody does. He walked along the hallway, with ever step he gets more and more nervous. Then he slowed down until he stops behind a girl, that searching something in her locker. She didn´t notice him. Brittany, Alvin and Juanita wides their eyes, Cody cleared his throat. " He-hey E-eleanor!" The youngest of the chipettes paused for a moment. She blushes a little bit and smiled embarrassed when she turned around. " He-hello Cody! What, what do you want?" He looks at her with a shy smile. " Uhm, what a-are you d-d-doing sa-sa-saturday night? I w-w-wanna ask y-you if you wa-wa-wanna watch a m-m-movie with m-me at, at the m-m-movie th-th-theater?" I p-pay the ti-ti-tickets a-and the po-pop-popcorn! A-and i wo-would lo-love to go t-to the, to th-the va-va-valentine-ba-bal with y-you!" He stumbles. Brittany turned to Juanita. " I can´t believe your brother getting so nervous!" Cody´s sister sighs. " That´s nothing chica! He had stumble harder before!" They watched, when Eleanor rubs her hands and looked embarrassed on the floor. Brittany smiles. " Eleanor is normally steadfast, but sweet boys...! And monday she told me she find your brother is very sweet! Oh dear!" Eleanor scratching with her foot nervous and blushes a bit more. " Does she know what´s going on?" Juanita whispers. Brittany nodes. " Already, but you see by yourself how nervous she is! What shall we do now?" Juanita sighs. " Your sister is very nice isn´t she? Than it getting not that worse i hope!" They saw that Cody sighs. " I-if you d.-don´t wa-want to, it-it´s o-okay, really! I th-think you a-are ve-very cu-cute!" Eleanor giggles. " Y-you are v-very cu-cu-cute too, Cody! A-are y-you ser-seri-serious? Y-you wa-wanna g-go with m-me wa-wat-watching a mo-movie and, and t-to th-the d-d-d-dance?" He nodes and blushes too. Brittany giggles when she saw it. " You might think both never had a date before! That´s sweet! And yes, Eleanor is very nice! She would go out with your brother because he´s so nice!" Juanita had to smile. Now Eleanor takes a deep breath and looked at Cody with widen eyes. " Y-yes, of co-course! W-which m-movie?" He smiles. " Y-you de-de-decide! Sh-should i p-p-pick y-you up?" She giggles again. " Y-yes, come on s-six at m-my h-house? A-and i w-would lo-love to g-go t-t-t-to the d-dance with y-you!" She pulls a paper out of her bag and wrote her address on it. She hands it over to him, with a big smile on his face he grabs it. " I´m gl-glad, E-eleanor! See you later!" He smirks as he rushes away. Alvin came over to Brittany and Juanita. He makes a serious face. " Theodore is a little bit...disgruntled! He wanted to ask her out for the dance!" Juanita gave him an apologizing look. " Your brother, Theodoro, is he Eleanor´s boyfriend?" Brittany shakes her head. " No, he´s not! I think he likes her a lot and she likes him to. They are very close friends. Lets see what happen on saturday, Alvie! I look for Eleanor, just to ease her." She walks over to her sister. Juanita looks after. " Alvin, your brother, is he...unforgiving or vengeful?" He shakes his head" No, he´s not! He just likes Eleanor so much!" Brittany hugs her sister. " You can´t do otherwise, what? Theodore wants to ask you out! You know, Cody leaves in a few weeks!" Her younger sister sighs. " I know, but he´s so cute! And how shy he asked me!" She sighs again, dreamily. Brittany gives Alvin and Juanita a knowing look and shrugs. Alvin looked for Theodore, who was standing beside his locker and makes a grim face. Simon puts a hand on his shoulder. Eleanor looks embarrassed to Theodore and blushes again. Juanita sighs. " I talk to Theodoro!" She and Alvin walked over to him. Juanita taps on his shoulder. " Perdono Theodoro! Please, don´t be mad about my hermano, he has a crush on Eleanor!" Theodore looks sad on the floor. " I wanted to go to the ball with Eleanor! I´m too late! I stay at home then!" He snievels. Eeanor comes over. She gives him an ashamed look. " Theodore, you aren´t angry with me, i hope!" He shakes his head. " No, Eleanor, i´m waiting to long. And i understand you, he´s nice!" Juanita grabs both at their arms. " Please, don´t be sad! Cody wishes to go to the dance with Eleanor. and if you want to, Theodoro, i will be your date for the dance!" He looks up, surprised. " Really? That´s very nice of you!" She waves it away. " Amigo, it´s a pleasure for me! You are very friendly and not so mad about my hermano! I want you all to have fun at the dance! La fiesta!" She shouts. Eleanor smiles eased. Alvin and Brittany gave each other a grin. Juanita was so kind, helpful and cares about her family and friends with her whole heart. And some of the other guys should be very jealous when she wents to the dance with Theodore.
So Eleanor and Theodore have different dates for the Ball. What will happen? And how well get the date of Eleanor and Cody? We will se next chapter!
