Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.
"I have a feeling I'm not in Konohagakure anymore..."
Naruto looked all around him, observing his strange surroundings. He took a deep breath, his blue eyes narrowing with bravery and courage as he braced himself for the mission he was about to undertake.
The young shinobi was in a world away from the Hidden Leaf Village; he was on the rooftop on a tall middle in the middle of Japan. His silhouette stood out against the full moon that loomed over his city. His ninja skills were needed to put to good use to foil the drug-trafficking organization he had been sent to foil. Naruto knew it was going to be a dangerous assignment, but he was determined to prove his worth as the Seventh Hokage.
He was too focused on his job to notice he was not alone on top of the building.
Alright, Naruto thought, finishing cutting a hole into the rooftop, which he was preparing to jump down to enter the building. Time to dive right in and stop these drug traffickers!
"Hey, kid! Where do you think you're doing?"
Naruto froze. A voice had blared out nearby from somewhere on the rooftop. Knowing the person it belonged to could only be talking to him, he peered around to discover to his surprise that he wasn't alone on top of the building.
Stepping out of the shadows and into the moonlight were a group of teenage Japanese girls. They looked very close to his age did. All had their eyes on him, armed with weapons and observing the blonde suspiciously.
"Who are you?" the leading girl demanded, her blue hair half-covering her scowling face. "What is your business here?"
Naruto stared at the group of six females in all his bewilderment, but shook himself out of his shocked state as he approached them, holding up his hands to show he had no intention of attacking them.
"Naruto Uzumaki," the boy introduced himself. "Seventh Hokage of Konohagakure and skilled shinobi."
"Seventh... Skilled... Whah?" an orange-haired girl stared at him, dumbfounded by his self-introduction.
"What does that mean?" a soft-spoken dark hair girl asked quietly.
Naruto grinned proudly, tapping his chest with a fist. "It means I'm a hero!"
"That's a coincidence!" a short magenta-haired girl cried. "So are we!"
"Well, this is our enemy you're dealing with, kid!" An blonde-haired girl spoke up. "We'll take it from here! So move along!"
A glare crossed Naruto's face. He was not pleased to be told to get lost by what he believed were a bunch of intruders on his mission.
"Now wait just a minute!" he exclaimed. "I have been sent all the way over here, leaving my cosy life in my village to investigate the drug-trafficking out here in this city. I have travelled over five thousand miles to get here! I am not gonna let it be for nothing!"
"But we were here first!" whined a violet-haired girl.
"Yeah? Well I'm got inside first!"
Without waiting to hear another word, Naruto leapt into the hole he had made in the rooftop to enter the building. He landed in the middle of what appeared to be a laboratory. The boy looked around in befuddlement to see chemicals running through pipes to fill up test tubes. This was the sort of evil lair that he could never imagine Princess Kaguya Ōtsutsuki residing in.
Much like on the rooftop, he was not alone in the lab.
"What's this?" a voice cried, belonging to one of many thuggish men in the room.
"We've got an intruder!" another mobster yelled, pointing at Naruto with outrage.
"Get him!" bellowed a third.
Naruto glanced around, seeing that gangsters were coming at him from all sides, intending to beat up and capture him.
He was ready.
The young ninja sprang into action as he unleashed his shinobi skills on the thugs. He lashed out in every direction, delivering punches and kicks while swinging his sword all around.
The criminals were not harmed in the least. They didn't feel the slightest bit of pain.
"What's happening?" Naruto cried, desperately trying to knock the men out with his fists, feet and weapons. "Don't you guys feel any pain?"
The men sneered as his attacks failed to hinder them. They were perfectly immune to the blows he was delivering to them. They closed more around the young boy, preparing to brutally batter him.
Naruto cried in alarm as he tried in vain to knock out his adversaries. It was no good. No blows from his sword could make the slightest dent on any of them. They didn't even flinch as he attempted to take them down. All moved closer to the boy as they prepared to do the same to him - but with success.
"Naruto! Use this!"
Hearing one of the girls above call to him, Naruto looked up to see one of them was tossing something to him through the hole in the rooftop. He caught the items in his hand, holding it up to see what it is.
It was a small, short stick.
"What's this?" Naruto cried, holding the tiny object above his head for the girls to see from the rooftop.
"It's spice!" the short, magenta-haired girl called back to him.
"Spice?" Naruto repeated in disbelief. "What am I supposed to do with it?"
"Take a bite! It'll make you stronger!"
Naruto blinked - but somehow, he felt an urge to do what he was told. As the thugs closed more around him, he held the spice up to him lips, shrugged in his disbelief over what he was doing before biting into it.
A surge of power swept through the young boy's body.
His blue eyes began to glow, a sign of how much stronger he had become.
With a roar, Naruto lashed out at the thugs with his sword. He sent them all flying back, causing them all to crash into the lab equipment.
Stunned at his newly-found strength, Naruto felt a surge of euphoria. He felt like nothing could stop him now. With confidence in his glowing eyes, he leapt into the air with the sword clutched in hands, swinging it around to strike the criminals he was now overpowering.
On the rooftop, the girls watched through hole as the boy took on the thugs. They could see he was having no trouble defending himself under the powers of what they used to make themselves stronger. The blue-haired leader looked up to face the magenta-haired one, a frown crossing her stern face.
"Why did you do that, Momo? You know Spice is only meant for members of our own organisation. We can't let just anyone use it."
"I know. But I can tell that Naruto is a good kid. He's out to achieve the same goal as we are, so we should let him defend himself from these guys."
Sure enough, Naruto struck the last of the thugs with his weapon, having knocked every one of them out. He stood in the centre of the lab, which was now filled with unconscious thugs, broken equipment and spilled liquid.
Breathing heavily, Naruto released his sword from his left hand, lifting up his right one to take in what had given him his power.
His blue eyes stopped glowing, but they were still filled with amazement over what he was observing.
Who knew he could become so strong and unstoppable - by biting into one stick of spice.
As Naruto stood there, he heard the Japanese girls entering the building. He looked up to see they were jumping through the hole he'd made, landing in the trashed-up lab to join him.
A prideful grin flashed across Naruto's face. It felt good to have showed off how tough he was and beat up some villains in front of a group cute females. He just wished Sakura had also been there to witness his awesome fighting as well. She would have been so impressed.
"Did ya see me? Did ya see me?" he burst out. "I took on all those guys single-handedly!"
"Yes, Naruto..." the softly-spoken, dark-haired girl smiled. "You did well!"
"You have got to give me more of this!" Naruto demanded, waving the stick of spice eagerly. "There's no way I can fail my duties if I'm spiced up on your spice! I will be the greatest Hokage and strongest shinobi that Konohagakure has ever ha-"
There was suddenly a small shooting Naruto's bragging abruptly stopped. A startled look crossed his face as he felt his muscles grow weak. His legs were unable to keep him standing as they gave way on him. The young boy spy crumbled to the floor, falling unconscious.
Behind him stood the blue-haired leader to the girls. A firearm was gripped firmly in her hand. She had injected Naruto with a tranquillizer dart - which also doubled as a memory eraser.
"That's him taken care of; he'll have no memory of any of us when he wakes up," she said. "Momo, you take him outside and get him out of harm's way while the rest of us complete the mission."
"Understood."
All of the girl's headed out of the laboratory to confront their enemies - with the exception of the short magenta-haired girl. Standing over the motionless boy, she lifted him up over his shoulder. He didn't make a move as she used an extracting cord to lift them out of the room and through the hole in the rooftop to escape the building.
Naruto groaned but remained out cold as he was carried down from the tall building. With the streetlamps illuminating her way, Momo took him through the empty avenues of Japan. The young girl took the unconscious boy all the way out to a dark, deserted park. She stopped when she reached a bench, where she gently lay his unconscious, immobile body.
"Sorry, Naruto, nothing personal..." she apologized as she took out the stick of spice that was miraculously still in his hand. "I can tell you really are a good hero - but you have to leave the spicing on spice to us!"
The end.
