True Love hidden by an Unspeakable Truth

Hina POV:

Hi! My name is Hina Hikawa and I..am running late for school. I thought Big Sis would wake me but I guess she was too busy. After bustling out of the house, thankfully I left my bag at school so I don't have to worry about carrying it. I usually get my homework done during recess or lunch, so my free time is either bothering my sister or band practice.

Taking a shortcut on the way to school would have me passing through back alleys huh? Well, might as well. "Hey!" I feel something hard then quickly feel myself knocked to the ground. I see 3 different people, 2 adult males and an adult female. "Man that sucked. Anyway I need to get to school so would you be so kind to move please?"

All three of them pulled out short blade-like objects. The one I bumped into starting inching forward "I think we can have some fun with you. Gives us all your money and you'll be free to go or resist and we'll be a lot more 'physical' after this!" I quickly jumped to my feet. This is a problem, guess I have to deal with it. One of them charged towards me and I almost effortlessly dodged it. Guess being in an Idol band pays off with the dance lessons.

After dodging, I feel a quick pain as a slashing mark glides across my back. I feel 2 more in quick succession being in my right leg and left shoulder. Having practically no other option, my legs kicked in despite all the pain and ran away as fast as possible. I made it to school, but didn't think I would hold much longer. My vision is blurry and I can't feel anything. I enter the school and head up the stairs. I hear my name called out from behind me. " Hina!" Turning to see that it was Tsugumi was a bit of a relief. Her face, although because a sense of relief then instantly to a state of worry.

"Hina! Oh my god! What happened to you?" I didn't say anything to her as I fell forward and hit the floor. Everything went dark, but I didn't lose consciousness. I heard Tsugumi call out my name frantically then everything went quiet. At this moment I had visions flash by of my big sister and I doing fun things today. I couldn't see, but I could feel tears slowly falling down my cheeks. 'Hmm, if I die here...I guess that wouldn't be very boppin' now would it. I'm..sorry...Big..Si..sis'

Sayo POV:

Dealing with student council work and managing to keep a steady schedule is a little more complicated than I thought. Nonetheless I pressed forward with my duties. I scoot back from the computer in front of me and stretch out my back. I stand up and walk over to where Rinko Shirokane was hiding. She is the student council president at our school and...is not very sociable..

"Is everything alright Shirokane?" She's fairly capable on her own, but does struggle a little bit.

"H-Huh? Oh Hikawa, sorry about that. Everything is fine over here. I am almost done with work then we'll be able to take a break."

"That's a relief." I look over and see Arisa Ichigaya slumped over the table. She told us that she practiced late last night and studied for a while so she's taking a little break beforehand. I thought about talking to her about it, but you shouldn't overwork people.

"Ichigaya, how come you always practice after school? Surely there are better days to do so on. You just seem like you're torturing yourselves."

"You know, I thought the same but having the company after so many days of silence and isolation is rather soothing." She slowly stands up and looks towards me. "A high chance of never happening, but you girls in Roselia should take it easy once in a while."

"That would be the case, but a certain someone with her 'Demon Princess' decided to take a lot longer on their breaks than the rest of us and Minato was not happy about that. Imai tried to calm her down, but after a while it was a lost cause." My subtle hint towards Shirokane should be obvious as she comes by and slumps herself on the table as well. A sudden ring alarms the three of us and we find to see what it is. Ichigaya reaches towards something, looks at it, then hands it to me.

"Huh? I thought I turned my phone off." I hit the answer button when I saw the call was from Imai. "Is there something urgent to warrant a phone call during school hours?"

"Uh...I think so since this concerns you to a pretty high degree."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"After hearing a scream in the hall, I decided to check it out since I was on my way back to class. I found Tsugumi crying with red spots on her clothes. I could hardly make out any of the words she was saying but she mentioned Hina's name and the word 'dead' a lot." My mind snapped at those last words.

"Care to repeat what you just said?" Something told me that asking wasn't the smartest idea, but I disregarded that fact.

"Hina was sent to the hospital with fatal injuries. I know I shouldn't be saying it so lightly like this, but I need you to listen."

"I...I see, Thank you for calling." .

"Sayo wai…" I ended the call before she could say more. I didn't want to hear any more.

"Sayo, is everything alright? You got really pale all of a sudden."

"Hikawa?"

I turned towards them and just stared. I notice their expression change immediately as I move my hands to my face. Tears? I'm crying? I looked back at them, then everything started to spin. My legs had gone numb as I dropped to the floor. I clutched my head before muttering Hina's name. I feel two hands being placed on me. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" I shouted as I smacked their hands away.

I don't know, nor do I care how hard I threw that door open. I started running away as fast as I could. I don't know how far I've gotten, but somewhere everything just….stopped.

No one's POV:

The door to the student council room flew open as it left the two inside and the four newcomers very shocked. Kasumi and the others had come to steal Arisa away since class just ended for lunch. A loud voice booms from the inside and the door flies open. They see Sayo with tears streaming down her face running away as fast as she could.

"Toyama, Hanazono! Go after her and make sure that she's safe please!" Rinko exclaimed. It left some of them dazed before listening and then leaving.

"What happened to her?" Saya asked. Before an answer came out, another phone started to ring. Arisa noticed a phone on the floor and picked it up. Sayo had dropped her phone while in her state of panic. She handed the phone to Rinko and answered.

"Hello?" Rinko said with hesitancy.

"Sayo? Are you there?" Lisa asked.

"Hikawa just left. What happened to her Imai?"

"Oh, Rinko. I didn't think you'd pick up."

"What happened? Hikawa just left the room crying."

"She did? She must be very devastated then."

"What does that mean?"

"Hina has been sent to the hospital with some near fatal injuries. That's the simplest way I can put it. Sorry if it sounds rude saying it like that."

"Oh no. Poor Hina. Thank you for telling me." Rinko hung up the phone and put it down.

"Rinko, what happened?" Saya was the first to speak again.

"Um….I don't know an answer way to say this but, Hikawa….her younger sister was admitted into the hospital just a while ago with fatal injuries." Rinko told them exactly what she was told. It didn't make the already tense situation better as Saya, along with Arisa and Rimi looked very uncomfortable. Rimi started shaking then dropped to her knees. Saya dropped as well to comfort her.
