All but Blood

Summary: Michelangelo is the youngest child of the Hamato clan and is often the target of bullies. So, when he finds himself in a bit of a pickle without his brothers to help. Big bro, Casey Jones is there to aid him instead. (Human AU) (One-shot)

He didn't need protection.

Mikey can look after himself, but his older brothers are overbearing and over protective. Okay, so maybe they had a point. Since last time Mikey walked home alone, he almost got run over if it wasn't for his friend Leatherhead that pushed him out of the way of the incoming car. And, there was that time he almost got caught in a shooting, or that time where Bradford and his gang decided to pick on him. There was also that time he barely made it out alive when Purple Dragons spotted him.

Alright, so Mikey a target he gets that, but he also isn't the Queen of England he didn't need protection twenty-four hours. He can perfectly take care of himself, thank you very much. It was just that today was a bad day which only seemed to prove his brothers right that Michelangelo Hamato is a walking target.

Whatever higher power is in charge of the universe seems to hate his guts because once again he finds himself trapped between a wall with Bradford and his gang. All because Leo got called into work, Raph had football practice and Donnie needed to work on a science project.

All sure, Mikey he can look after himself. All sure, he won't get into trouble. All sure, he won't get himself killed just by trying to get home. Sure, Mikey wonders if the cosmos can sense his sarcasm.

"Looks like the baby is all by himself," Bradford mocked.

Dude, don't call Mikey a baby sure he was the youngest out of his family, but he wasn't a small helpless baby and with that he kicked Bradford knee, jumped out of the man arms and made a run for it. Only to get a bruised eye in the process and knocked down onto the ground, landing in a puddle of water.

Today was so not his day.

At least Purple Dragon only had three members Bradford gang had a dozen and there was only one of him. Dude, totally not fair. Mikey won't give up though.

He might be a walking target, but he's a walking target that didn't give up. He was going to fight. His father ran a dojo for a reason and if he had to fight out of this one then he would.

"Hey, dude. You're not still mad at me for pushing you in a green pool, are you?" Mikey asked walking slowly away.

In Mikey fairness Bradford had started the fight and chased Mikey all the way to an old abandoned house. That said, abandoned house had an old swimming pool water no longer blue, but dark green and in an attempted to escape he pushed Bradford into it. The older student landed in the pool with a splash and after making sure the student was still alive Bradford popped out of it covered green. And, Mikey was able to run back home. Bradford had not been happy since then.

"Yes, I am," the older student said cracking his knuckles. "But without your brothers here. I say now is a good time for a bit of payback. Isn't that, right?"

"Sure, once I get my allowance, I'll pay you back."

He was picked by the collar. Mikey felt the colour from his skin drain.

"Heh."

So, not fair dude.

"Look Bradford just let me go and my brothers won't beat you up tomorrow. That's a fair trade, isn't it?"

He shut his eyes as a punch came towards him only the punch never happened. When, he opened his eyes he saw Bradford rubbing the back of his head.

"Leave him alone dog breath," Casey said.

"Casey," Mikey said in delight.

Casey Jones was Raph best friend and Jones had known the family since his father signed Casey and his little sister up to Master Splinter lessons.

"I don't see the one with the big mouth," Bradford said.

"Just me, but I can beat you up without Raph help. Just like how I beat up your gang."

Casey gestured a thumb to Bradford gang that was currently laying on the ground groaning in pain.

Before anyone could say anything, Casey hockey stick moved in to hit Bradford in the face. Mikey was free and used his body to push the older student to the ground, who tripped over Casey hockey stick.

Casey dragged Mikey out of there and darted him three streets down before they stop to catch a breath.

"Dude, Mikey why are you a target for trouble?"

"I dunno dude. I swear, I don't look for it. Trouble just finds me."

Casey snort.

"I'll get you home before your old man worries about you and send a search party after yar."

"That was one time."

"Yep, and Master Splinter would do it again if he has to."

"Yeah, dude especially when my brothers don't know I was walking home by myself."

Casey eyes widen.

"What? They thought one of them we're looking out for me, but their all busy at the moment and I thought I could walk home without causing trouble."

"Will that work out well. Let's get you home dude so you can hear a lecture of a life time."

Mikey rolled his eyes, but followed Casey Jones home the two of them talking about video games, comics and hockey.

Mikey was just glad that Casey Jones was his big brother in all, but blood.
