At Ever After High, a ceremony even bigger than Legacy Day was about to occur, and little did everyone know just how much this ceremony would change things.

"How hexciting is it, Raven, tonight we find out our true loves," said Apple as she twirled around her side of their room while wearing a white mermaid style dress that had a golden hem, and a gold and red shawl thrown over her shoulders.

"Yeah, hexciting," said Raven with a worried expression as she sat at her vanity. She was wearing a black kimono with purple flower petals scattered around it as if they were blowing on the wind.

"Raven, you're not thinking of going against this too, are you?" asked Apple who now had her own worried expression.

"No, but I am worried about how the magical string will react to me," said Raven.

"I'm sure it'll go to your lucky guy," said Apple.

"Apple, I don't like guys," said Raven as she avoided eye contact with the blond princess by turning away from her vanity and to a wall instead.

"What?" asked a surprised Apple.

"I'm gay, Apple, I like girls," said Raven as she stood with her back to her.

"Oh," said Apple whose worry had turned to shock thanks to this reveal.

"I understand if you're freaked out by this, I mean you just found out that you're roommate is gay so I can't blame you," said Raven.

"I would never be freaked out just because you like girls instead of guys, and I'm sure the string will go to whoever you like," said Apple as she walked around to look at Raven's face, placing her hands on the witch's shoulders to reassure her.

"Doubt it," said Raven before walking away.

"Like I even have a right to say this in the first place," thought Apple before following her. An hour later the two were sitting with everyone else as Headmaster Grimm stood on stage calling names until.

"Raven Queen," said Headmaster Grimm. Raven then stood up and walked up onto the stage.

"Take hold of the string and the other end will go to your True Love," said Headmaster Grimm as he held a gall of red string in one hand and one end of the string out for Raven.

"Here we go," thought Raven as she grabbed hold of the string. She then watched as the other end flew through the air to the Royal side of the crowd.

"No way," said Darling as the string went to the person sitting next to him, who was Apple.
