Welcome to a completely random one-shot I made when I was bored out of my mind.
I hope you enjoy it!
...
"Good luck!"
Ochaco Uraraka stumbled out the front door, slinging her pale pink backpack over her shoulder. She threw a small wave at her parents, who were smiling after her. As soon as she was outside of their hearing range, she let out a small sigh of contentment. She was finally on her own. Nothing against her parents of course. She just felt that sometimes, a nice walk alone felt good. And this walk was extra special. She was finally, finally going to the school of her dreams. It was viewed as most people would view Hogwarts; the U.A. was a well-known school across the region. And she was a member of it now.
She put a small bounce in her step, turning into a skip as she ran along the sidewalk, pink cherry blossoms blurring past her. She noticed as she neared the school, more and more kids dressed in the same school uniform were crowding around her.
She slowed, returning to her normal pace. A large group of kids was ahead of her at the gates of the building. She pushed past them, accidentally tripping over a backpack but steadying herself, muttering "Sorry" to the kid who she had bumped into. He frowned at the scuff mark in his bag, throwing her a small glare. She said sorry again, stepping into a clearer section of the area.
Uraraka spotted a plain-looking kid ahead with green hair, seeming to be lost in thought. She tagged along behind him, just in time for him to stumble over his own feet. She instinctively threw her hand forward, all five fingers pressing into his backpack.
The kid let out a small yell, and Ochaco couldn't stop herself from letting out a small giggle. He turned a questioning gaze to her.
"I stopped you with my Quirk," she explained, clapping her hands together. "Sorry I didn't ask first. But, I figured that you wouldn't mind me catching you."
As he stared at her blankly, she decided to try and start a conversation. "Isn't all like, way nerve-wracking?" she asked.
"Wha- but I uh," he stuttered.
She cut him off, noticing the time.
"Well, I guess I'll see you inside," she said, walking off and leaving the green-haired boy standing disoriented behind her. She skipped inside the school, passing a few stray kids as she entered her new class.
1-A.
A blueish-haired boy with glasses was already seated, along with a frog-like green-haired girl, a pink-haired and skinned girl, and a black-haired girl with her hair pulled back.
She chose a seat behind the glasses kid, waving at him a little. He gave a curt nod in response.
A spiky blonde-haired boy stomped into the room a few seconds later, plopping down hard in his seat across the room and slamming his legs onto his desk, grumbling all the while. The blue-haired boy in front of her stiffened, staring coldly at the newcomer.
"Take your feet off of that desk right now!" he said firmly, eyes narrowed. The blonde kid let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Huuuh?"
"It's the first day and you're already disrespecting the academy by scuffing school property!"
"You're kidding me, right? Your old school put a stick up your ass, or were you born with it?"
The nerdy kid's face tightened with fury before he relaxed, seeming to think things through.
"Let's start over. I'm Tenya Iida from the Somae Private Academy."
"Somae, huh? So you must think you're better than me. I'm gonna have fun tearing you a new one," the other kid said, mouth stretched into a sardonic smile.
Iida gasped, drawing back. "You would threaten me, your own classmate?! Are you sure that you're in the right place?"
The blonde boy smirked, grunting in what seemed like a laugh before his face crumpled a little as he stared at the doorway.
Uraraka turned her head, following his gaze.
The green-haired kid.
"It's him."
The class turned to stare, and Uraraka felt a twinge of pity for the boy. He seemed so introverted and hateful of attention, unlike the grumpy kid who mouthed off Iida.
"Um, hi," the shorter boy said nervously. Iida marched over to him like he really did have a stick up the anus.
"Good morning! My name is Tenya Iida-"
"Yeah yeah, I know." The new boy cut off the second introduction. "I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's super nice to meet you."
Ochaco's heart thumped. Why was she feeling twitterpated all of the sudden? She pushed the feeling down as Iida began to speak.
"Midoriya. You realize there was something more to the practical exam, didn't you?"
Ochaco tilted her head, confused. What was so wrong about that? It was her that originally inspired the rule.
"You must be very perceptive," Tenya went on. "I completely misjudged you. I admit, as a student, you're far superior to me!"
Ochaco almost laughed then and there. Iida took his role as a UA student way too seriously and decided to speak up.
"Hey, I recognize that messed-up hair!" she said, pretending to see him for the first time. She began to chatter, her words blurring as they left her mouth and as Izuku stared.
Ochaco paused her ranting as his face reddened.
"-guess I should have thanked you for going in and talking to them."
She paused.
"Huh? How do you know about that?" she asked, confused.
He stuttered. "Oh, I um- what?"
Ochaco caught the scruffy blonde boy looking away. She remembered the announcer mentioning that they were from the same school. Did they have a history together?
She pretended to be oblivious to it.
"What do you think we're doing today besides orientation? I wonder what our teachers are like! I can't wait to meet everybody!"
Midoriya looked at her again, his face now looking like a tomato.
"If you're just here to make friends, then you can pack up your stuff now."
Uraraka almost jumped out of her skin. The voice came from below her, from a yellow sleeping bag sort of object. Did someone have some sort of shape-shifting Quirk? She looked closer at it and realized that it was a person. A very dead-looking person, but a human all the more.
"Welcome to UA's Hero Course. I'm your teacher, Shota Aizawa."
This was going to be a long day.
...
So, do you think I should do more of these? I really like writing My Hero Academia characters, with the unique personalities and all.
