Hey! This is my first MCU fanfiction! I had this idea a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to try it.

Trigger Warnings: Mentions of Pandemic, Riots, Politics, Suicide, Implied Rape.

This is an MCU x Arrowverse specifically The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

Secrets and Lies

Bucky Barnes pride himself on a few things, one of those was knowing his wife better than himself.

So, when a normal day dawned and he tried to shake his wife awake she wouldn't badge and her heartbeat was below normal. Panicked he called Same who called Tony and Banner and then had her transferred to the Stark Tower.

They tried everything to figure out what was wrong to his wife and Bucky was losing it quickly when Banner joked about called Dr. Strange and next thing Bucky cares to remember was Dr. Strange asking him three questions;

"What's her name?"

"Is a clairvoyant or any shape or form gifted?"

"Has she been acting weird lately?"

To that Bucky only knew the answer to one for sure as for the others he had a feeling of insecurity, her name was Helena, she was not gifted and no she wasn't acting weird lately.

Dr. Strange nodded not really knowing either what could possible be wrong with her if she wasn't gifted. His theory was that if she was gifted an entity from some other astral plane had somehow trapped her or cursed her to stay trapped in her own subconscious living memories over and over again until driven insane. The only solution to something like this was to go into her mind and guide her back to the present.

"Are you sure that she's not gifted Mr. Barnes?" Dr. Strange asked distrustful as Bucky nodded and then watched as Strange walked closer to her and touched her forehead before he let go of it gasping as he watched Bucky distrustful.

"How do you two met?" Strange asked suspicious.

"Um…at the park Steve and Sam used to run, they dared me couple years ago to ask the girl sitting next to the bench where Helena was and once the girl gave me her number and got up she chimed in that the girl gave me false number and that it was in fact the code number of the book she was reading borrowed from a local public library then she recited the numbers to a T and smiled sympathetically and she didn't looked at me she was busy reading a history book about Europe of the 20th century. Then I went on to see her every day I went for a run and we would say hello then I asked her once for breakfast and the rest is history. Why would this have anything to do with what is wrong with her?" Bucky asked confused.

"It has everything to do with it because she either hid it from you or lied to you about who she is. She's gifted alright and she not supposed to be here, in our world, Mr. Barnes." Strange said with a sympathetic tone.

"What does that mean?!" Bucky snarled angrily and Strange grabbed him as he put them inside Helena's head.

Helena's Mind:

Bucky and Strange were slammed onto the floor of a living room with wooden floors.

"Helena!" A girl exclaimed angrily as Bucky saw Helena, his wife looking around the age of 17 years old, she was curled into a ball and crying.

"I don't want to talk about, Zia!" Helena yelled loudly as she sniffed.

"Oh you will! I'm not Nicky or Mike! I'm coming in!" The girl exclaimed as she opened the door and marched inside.

"Did you really break up with Mike? And Nicky said she was busy drinking coffee and couldn't talk to you? Are fucking kidding? What a bitch?! Why did you break with Mike and please don't tell me because of the stupid diagnose the doctor gave you!" Zia exclaimed as she sat next to Helena and she was rambling angrily.

"Yes that is why I broke up with him! It's not stupid, Zia! What would you do if the doctor told you, that you will probably lose your legs by the age of 25? Twenty five Zia! Would you even like to hang out with me if I can't walk and be forced into a wheel chair or even die? I don't want to be my mum, Zia! Look at her half of her leg is metal and plastic! That's my future! Mike can go out and find a girlfriend that can walk, dance and have kids…I won't be able to have kids, Zia! What's the fucking point?!" Helena sobbed as Zia hugged her with tears in her eyes too.

"You will not die at 25! I'm sure there will be an amazing prosthetic and look just like your actual legs and you will able to walk and dance and as for kids, it's not your only purpose as a woman, you know that? You can adopt or Stella or I can be your surrogates!" Zia said smiling softly as her and Helena nodded as she kept sobbing.

"But I am going to have a talk with Nicky, John Wick style!" Zia stated and Helena chuckled.

"Don't forget the pencils and aim for the jugular!" Helena chuckled and sobbed at the same time.

"Don't worry, my colorful panda, I have a mechanical pencil in my bag! I came prepared! Also, what a dick move from Mike! He didn't fight you on your request to break up?" Zia asked assuring as and then continued with a confused tone.

"I don't know…I've blocked him everywhere and shut my phone down." Helena said sniffling.

"And that is why he's been blowing up Stella's phone and mine…you did him wrong, girly! Come on, let's get you wash up and you call him and explain why you break up with him, he deserves a valid reason." Zia said caringly and Helena nodded.

"Zorzet, if I die will you please look out for my sister?" Helena asked her and she nodded.

"Always!"

"And Helena? You won't going to die! We will ask more doctors." Zorzet said to her squeezing her hand and Helena nodded as she followed her out of the room.

"When is this Strange?" Bucky asked with teary eyes and betrayed tone.

"It's May 3rd 2017." Strange said with a sympathetic tone.

"Impossible! We met in 2019." Bucky said confused and betrayed. He didn't know any of this and felt terrible for not knowing that his wife was diagnosed with some deadly diseases that she probably outlived but still he felt he was supposed to know these kinds of stuff, wasn't he?

Strange watched him with pity and that pissed him off a lot more too!

The scene before them changed to Helena walking across a street when she looked panicked at her legs and then at the upcoming traffic and then she collapsed as she tried to drag herself away from swerving cars who honked at her and she just defeated sat on the curb and watched her legs.

She then started hitting them with her hands curled into fists as angry tears spilled in her cheeks.

Bucky watched her with sadness as he kneeled to face her as his own eyes had tears picking up.

"What's wrong with you, Helena?" He whispered with terrifying concern.

"She won't hear you, she already lived through these things." Strange noted behind him with a sad tone.

"What is wrong with her?" Bucky asked him and Strange sighed.

"At this state of the memory she's been told she's diagnosed with Lupus and her bones are turning to dust every day she walks or does anything really and by 25 either she will die because Lupus effects other organs too, it might start with one but slowly spreads, or has to have surgery to replace the pones with metal or plastic." Strange told him with a sad tone and Bucky looked horrified at him and then Helena who cried at the curb.

"What is the survival rate of this?" Bucky asked concerned and afraid.

"People with Lupus can be expected to have a normal life up to 40 years old by the time they are diagnosed meaning that if someone's diagnosed with it in their 20s they might reach to be 60 years old by they time they die or they might just reach 40 years old but their lives would be full of pain, meds and surgeries and transplant lists waiting. I'm sorry." Strange said with a sad tone and Bucky rubbed his head.

"So, all of this that is happening to her might not be because she's gifted but it could be her dying from this…Lupus?" Bucky asked horrified. He prayed it was because she was gifted.

"No, I didn't see any indication of that, that is why I asked if she was gifted." Strange said with the same sad and pitiful tone.

Bucky watched her as she tried to stand up and managed before she carefully started walking.

The scene changed again before Bucky and Strange and they were at a doctor's office.

"Miss Skorbi, the first diagnosed was wrong and I apologize for that you had every indicator and due to your family's medical history was highly likely you too had it but according to these blood tests, you have what we call cousin of Lupus called Osteoarthritis Chondropathy, it's a lesser evil and deadly disease but it's also caused by autoimmune failure. Your immune systems views the slime substance that helps the chondros in your knees to glid gracefully and painless. And since your immune system views it as a threat it attacks it as a virus when its created hence your chondros moves without the easiness and it scars itself and your knee cap bones in the process. There's no medication for it since it only affects 7-8% of the world's population but there are combinations of meds that can force your body to create that substance in order to help alleviate your knees. You will be required to do daily physiotherapy and never forget your meds." The doctor told Helena who seemed tired and Bucky noticed how her inner arms were bruised from the blood tests. Anger surged in him.

"So, I won't die?" Helena asked with a confused tone.

"No, you won't but you'd have a painful life. But I want you to do one more blood test, a TSH T4 hormone test, T4 hormone is responsible for many things such as hair loss as you experience, your nails and bones breaking easier than it's normal or your nails to become extremely hard as you also experienced. It can also affect your melatonin as you noticed, it's not normal to be this white and get sunburn in February." The doctor said deep in thoughts as he scribbled down his notepad.

Bucky got furious at the doctor.

"More blood tests!?" He snarled and Strange grasped his shoulder.

"Sometimes they are necessary in order to understand the patient's needs." Strange reminded him.

"Her hands are bruised!" Bucky exclaimed defensively and Strange nodded.

"Smaller veins popped during or after the blood tests, it happens." Strange explained to him with a soft tone and Bucky sighed tiredly.

The scene changed again to Helena looking healthier and happier in the same office.

"Well, we have the final diagnosis, Miss Scrobi, you have Hashimoto Thyroiditis, it's the most common autoimmune disease and you only need to keep yourself healthy with vitamin supplements and a T4 hormone supplement and your knee meds. Every six months you'd be asked to have TSH blood tests done and we can track your sugar levels, weight and vitamin levels. Now, Hashimoto isn't deadly but because your immune system is compromised one bad infection can turn bad. Like how you told when you were younger a cold turned to pneumonia and near lung failure. Now the most dangerous infections are your upper respiratory infections meaning infections that assault your nose, ears and lungs, it can go to a very light infection that mirrors a common cold and the next thing you know you are being intubated in an ET ventilator, the ventilator that help your lungs breathe like they would under healthy circumstances. SARS virus are the most lethal virus against people like you, your Hashimoto attacks your neck glen that is responsible for the vitamin breakdown and consumption but because is in your neck near your tonsils, one infection in there can throw off the balance in you and one light tonsilitis can turn to full one respiratory infection because your neck in your weak spot in your entire immune system, it's terribly protected. You need to keep up with vaccines and you overall health, Miss Scrobi." The doctor explained with a concerning tone and Helena nodded as she tried to keep looking optimistic.

"At least I won't die at 25." She lightly joked and the doctor smiled.

"No, you're safe." He said smiling and she nodded.

Bucky breathed a sigh of relief and Strange smiled at him.

The scene changed to Helena being in a school yard, she was talking with some of kids that Bucky thought might be her friends, she had her hands in her pockets of cinnamon colored jacket and was laughing.

"HEY SCROBI!" Some boy from across the playground yelled at her and she turned to look at him and she walked up to him with a small smile but Bucky could see it wasn't for that boy but because it was a reminder of what had originally made her laugh.

"What is it, Alex?" She asked annoyed with a sigh and then was handed money, a 50-euro bills.

"What the fuck is that for?" She asked confused as the boys behind Alex snickered and he smirked with cruel smirk said;

"Well, consider this your first payment, since your dad has been shot, it's time you start your career as a prostitute, this bill will be yours after you suck me or better yet prefer the experience you gave Theo." He said with a cruel smirk and Helena's eyes widen in horror and anger as she threw the money down spit them and then kneed him in the nuts and then grabbed his hair and yanked them to face her.

"Who told you about Theo?" She asked in a eerily calm tone but her eyes were blazing with anger. Alex winced and whimpered.

"His cousin…ouch bitch!" He winced as he said that and then she left him and walked away but when he called her a bitch she turned around and gave him a round kick and a sucker punch.

"If I'm a bitch then why are you the one bleeding on the ground? Know your place, bitch." She retorted back with a cold smirk as she then glared at the boys behind her.

"Want to be next?" She challenged them and they shook their heads no afraid.

"I feel very sorry for your mothers, I mean she doesn't deserve that you are the reason why she pees herself every time she sneezes." She said smirking before she showed them her middle finger and walked away before she stopped mid-exit and turn to Alex who was bleeding on the ground.

"Use the bill to stop your bleeding." She said with a cynical smile and mock concern before she smiled and walked away.

The entire school yard was staring at her and the boys as she entered the school building not caring for the stares.

Bucky was seething at what this Alex dude said to Helena but he couldn't be prouder for how Helena handled it.

Strange also was smirking enjoying how Helena handle it.

The scene changed again and they were watching Helena marching down a hallway when she saw a boy with a blue jacket.

"HEY! FOTIS!" She yelled with anger in her tone as the boy jumped at the tone of her voice and tried to run but from the other side of the hallway Zia and another guy were waiting for him smirking while Zia had a Swiss knife out was used the tip to clean her nails.

Helena grabbed the shirt Fotis wore and pinned him to the wall. He was shaking.

"Why the fuck would you say that to Alex?! You promised!" She growled as tears picked up in her eyes and her voice cracked by the end of her sentence.

Bucky watched horrified as he realized what was going on. He clenched his fists.

"I…I…didn't I swear! I told you back at Junior High, he made me do it! And I haven't said anything!" He said terrified.

"And who would have known to say anything then, dick?" The boy behind Helena asked angrily.

"Andrew, he was couple steps away from us, he might have heard!" Fotis exclaimed shaking.

"He's right…he was waiting for when I would leave Fotis to throw the ball on my head knocking me out." Helena said in an angry defeat as she let go of Fotis' shirt.

"Where is your friend, then?" Zia asked Fotis and he sighed.

"He's visiting family in Albania. And he's not my friend!" Fotis sighed annoyed and glared at Zia.

"And why is that?" The boy asked as Helena was somewhere down the wall rubbing her face.

"Because he called me the f word and beat up my boyfriend up." Fotis said angrily.

"If I see him in school tomorrow, I'm breaking his jaw!" Helena said determined and angry as Fotis nodded.

"And I'd be there to hold him down for you. I promised I won't tell to anyone what my cousin did to you when we were 12 and I haven't." Fotis said seriously and defensively.

"And I thank you for that…I'm sorry I attacked you." Helena said sighing and he shook his head;

"No, don't thank me I'm doing what is the human thing to do. Tomorrow is a big day and I look forward to it." He said with a small smile before he patted Helena's shoulder and walked away.

Helena sighed as she rubbed her face and Zia hugged her.

Helena sobbed in Zia's arms and the boy looked angrily at the floor but didn't do anything.

Bucky was clenching and unclenching his fists and he was breathing hard as Strange tried to hold his arm.

"Why she never told me any of this?!" He exclaimed in an angry and betrayed tone.

They were transferred to another scene where Helena is washing her hands in the sink of the school and the water is red.

She just watches her face in the mirror with an unreadable expression.

On the wall behind him stood a young man dressed like he came out of 1930s and was watching her with a concerning tone.

"Stop staring at me, you've done the same if it was mum or grandma." She scoffed at the figure who just shook his head.

"That's the think, Helena, I wouldn't find him in the school grounds. Besides, violence isn't always the option!" The man scolded her and she darkly chuckled.

"Grandma says I'm the female version of you, even my anger outburst as just like yours, so you don't get to judge me, grandpa, you're dead, you've been dead 18 years now." Helena said in a condescending tone as she finished washing off her hands and watched the man through the mirror.

"That's the thing, Big Old Brain, people like you and me don't have the casualty to use our words or hands to fight, bad things happen when we do." He said to her with a sad tone and she rolled her eyes at the nickname.

"I know, I have 44 different lifetimes in my head, thanks for the reminder! And what am I supposed to do then? Sit back and allow people to use me? You didn't sit back."

"No, I ran and got to have a family. Choose your fights wisely, just because you can fight doesn't mean you have to." He said wisely.

"Whatever! I'm going to class now!" She exclaimed as she finished drying her hands and looked at the man in the eyes.

"Goodbye for now grandpa." She said to him and he smiled in sadness before he vanished and Helena walked out of the bathrooms.

"Did she just talked to a ghost?" Bucky asked unsure and confused.

"Yes, she did." Strange said smiling.

"She can see the dead." Strange added after a minute and Bucky watched confused the bathroom.

The scene changed again and they were watching Helena as she held a paper and saw Fotis across the playground and he run up to her.

"WE DID IT! WE GRADUATED!" Fotis exclaimed happily as they both hugged and did a victory dance.

"How much did you do?" Fotis asked her and she sighed.

"Eighteen in the general exams and sixteen point five at the Pan-Hellenic exams. How about you?" She said proudly.

"Nineteen at the general exams and fifteen point six at the Pan-Hellenic exams." Fotis said smiling proudly too.

"That's awesome!" She exclaimed as she hugged him.

"What's the Pan-Hellenic exams?" Bucky asked Strange confused.

"I don't know." Strange answered visibly confused.

Then they were transferred once more into a different scene where Helena was sitting in a red couch studying things from a notebook when a blond guy with a buzzcut appeared and Helena raised her head and smiled at him awkwardly.

"Do you want to sit down?" She asked the guy kindly and he nodded as she stood up and grabbed her stuff and moved to sit on top of the arm of the couch and continue studying not bothering that the guy was watching her notebook, she even tilt it so he could have better access.

Bucky didn't like that and neither did Strange because in his mind Helena was Bucky's…okay not as a property but they looked good together and they fitted together, like they were meant to for one another.

"So, the Noir film period is during 1930s?" The blond asked as he tried to memorize it and Helena nodded.

"Yes, it worked as a morale boost, good VS evil and the games with light and darkness was all supposed to pass as subconscious messages to the masses especially during the war." Helena said to him as he nodded and then slammed back on the couch.

"Well, my grandparents didn't bother going to the cinema…they were no money for that." He said and Helena chuckled.

'And there are now?" Said Helena chuckling darkly and he laughed too rubbing his eyes.

"Where were your grandparents during the war?" He asked her and she sighed.

"Grandpa's family had just escaped genocide in Gallipoli during the 1910s so my grandpa was sixteen at the time and he was stationed on the mountains in Bulgaria, he's the only survivor of his Unit. Grandma was also a teen at the time, her brothers were stationed in Athens, while they suffered under the Italian occupation. Then the Germans took over Peloponnesus and shit hit the fun, they starved almost to death, my grandma was tortured by the Nazis because they hid their neighbor's and best friend, they were Jews, they forced her to watch their hangings and then she lost her older brother during the bombings. That's in my mum's side, my dad's is more tricky, grandpa was in the Navy but never learned where he was stationed, but great grandma worked for the resistance sending Jews or receiving them through the mountains surrounding Mountain Olympus, my grandma had gone to bring water with her mother once after church which was an undercover excuse to help more Jews to pass through, when a Nazi saw her and recognized her as one of the resistance, someone ratted them out, my grandma hid behind the church but saw the Nazi murder her mother in cold blood after she mocked him that they were losing. Four weeks later the war was over." Helena said to the blond guy who whistled in amazement.

"My grandma wasn't born yet, she was born in 1947 and my grandpa was a child around three years old, great grandpa died in Cyprus. As for my mother she has no idea, she was an orphan in Russia and came here when she was sixteen." The blond guy said to her with a sad tone and Helena rubbed his shoulder and apologized whole shrugged.

"Have you finished your mandatory service?" Helena asked him and he sighed and shook his head no.

"I fear I would be shipped off to some island." He said tiredly.

"My dad served into two different islands, it's harsh during the winter and the prices are high, if you ever learn where you are stationed tell me I might be able to give you pointers for the living situation and my dad might know your superiors." Helena said smiling kindly at him and he nodded.

"Thanks, now let's focus on the exams because I don't want to fail the semester." He said and Helena nodded as she opened the notebook and pointed where she was and he pointed where he was. They quietly studied.

Bucky watched horrified hearing Helena's grandparents' stories and felt guilty and amazement they survived and she came from such a resilient family.

Strange appreciated how she knew where her family came from.

The next scene was of Helena and the blond guy laughing as he was holding a baby doll and was throwing up.

"John! Stop it!" A blonde girl whined as she was trying to study.

"Katerina go study elsewhere this is the fun zone, right Helena?" Blond dude, John, said smirking as he kept throwing the baby doll like a ball and then winked at Helena who shook her head laughing as she kept studying while sitting on top of a desk.

Katerina growled and threw him her pencil case and he ducked around it and then grasped Helena's shoulders and hid behind her playing peek a boo with Katerina who was aiming her pen at him.

"If you throw that at me, Katerina, I will not give you the notes for Aristidis' class." John bargained with her as he kept hold of Helena's shoulders. Helena seemed to ignore them as she was biting her thumb's nail.

"FINE!" Katerina exclaimed annoyed and Helena shushed her then John's arms circled around Helena's waist and peered over her shoulder as he studied the notebook.

Bucky didn't like how handsy he was being.

"I never got what Gloria meant by that…did you?" John asked as he pointed something on the notebook.

"Gloria hates me so don't trust my notes, John, she always claims my notes are incorrect or missing…Katerina might have more sufficient ones hell even George or Dimos might have better notes than me!" Helena exclaimed annoyed and suddenly John's arms were on her shoulders massaging her.

"Relax…breathe!" He instructed softly and she noted as she let the notebook down and then she saw a guy with black hair coming inside the class.

"We are in session!" He said as both Helena and John jumped and quickly grabbed their stuff and John grasped Helena's hand and they rushed out.

The scene changed again to one where Helena was sitting on John's lap while they were in a café with a bunch of other people laughing as she sipped coffee.

"Yeah, and then he comes in and yells at me for missing the USB driver and I'm here looking at him like he grew a second head because he's holding and waving the USB driver as he yells at me!" The same black haired guy that entered the class in the previous memory was talking while laughing, his blue eyes blazing with amusement as he held a cigarette in his hand.

Helena laughed and John reached for a tissue to wipe his tears from the laughter.

"Have I guys told how Theofilos reacted when I whipped my Swiss knife out while he was trying to chew out the plastic wrapper off the HDM cables?" Helena asked laughing and everyone laughed even more.

"Come on guys, he's mirroring his daughter who is teething, he's doing it for moral support!" Katerina tried to say between hiccups as she reached for water.

"Keep mocking me guys and you'd see your grades by the end of the year!" A guy with dirty blond hair and blue eyes and a man bun said as he sipped his Espresso smirking and everyone oohed and laughed.

He just shook his head in a "You'll see" manner.

John guy then kissed Helena on the lips and Bucky was lowly growling in jealousy and Strange found it very satisfying, it was like they were watching a TV show…about Helena's life.

"Hey, keep the PDA PG13, fellas!" The dirty blond man bun guy said and Helena and John blushed as they stopped.

"When does this memory end, Strange I think I had enough of this…we aren't closer in figuring out what is wrong with my wife!" Bucky exclaimed annoyed and angry.

Strange just smirked and as Bucky sighed the scene changed to Helena cleaning her apartment while having the radio on.

"And the decision is made by the United Nations to finally allow Former Yugoslavic Republic of Macedonia to be named Northern Macedonia effective immediately."

Helena froze at the sound and whispered horrified no as she looked at the radio and then her eyes watered.

"NO!" She roared with anger and grabbed her phone and dialed a number.

"Zia, did you listen the news? We lost!" She said angrily and watched how everyone had gone out in their balconies and they were setting Greek flags.

"I know! I'm joining the protests." Helena said on the phone.

"Yeah, I've heard that they sending the military to do crowd control which is code for tear gas, rubber bullets and maybe actual ones…ridicules…" Helena said annoyed and with a dark chuckle.

"What? Please God tell me she's not going! She'll die! And what it means we lost?" Bucky exclaimed confused and afraid for her safety.

"I don't know, Barnes, it's her past not ours and so far historically it's not accurate none of those things has happened and we in 2018." Strange said annoyed and confused.

"What? How can that be?" Bucky asked confused as he studied Helena who had now closed the phone and was aggressively vacuuming the carpets.

The scene changed to Helena getting off a public bus dressed in all black and a leather backpack and a green bandana wrapped around her neck. She smiled at John, Zia and some other familiar faces.

"Ready?" Zia asked and everyone nodded.

"Remember, glasses up, bandanas up too, also masks on underneath them, if we have covered our faces they can't use facial recognition software to arrests us if they choose." Zia said and everyone nodded as they put on KN95 masks with an anti-tear gas filter and they nodded.

"Nice bandana, Scrobi!" John said whistling under the mask and she nodded.

"Thanks, but it's not a bandana. It's the remaining fabric of the headscarf my three times great paternal grandma wore when she was one out of the two women who fought in the frontlines to free Greece from the Ottomans. I'm channeling her today." Helena said with sound of pride in her voice.

"Have I told you, your ancestors were badasses?" Zia asked her from next to her.

"And yours weren't? They were part of the same resistance as my great grandma." Helena asked rhetorically and Zia chuckled as they started walking towards the big crowds.

"I have to agree with Helena's friend, your wife's ancestors do sound badasses." Strange whistled with an amused smirk but Bucky was being eaten alive with worry. He felt it in his guts that this protest wouldn't turn okay.

The next scene was of Helena and so many others yelling and walking towards the city's center and holding signs saying; "Macedonia is Greek and only Greek!" and similar sayings. Bucky was confused reading them and so was Strange.

"I think the reason we understand her in these memories is because your wife's brain is translating the scenes for us." Strange said deep in thoughts and Bucky nodded as he watched like a hawk as SWAT teams surrounded the protestors and started hitting their shields on the ground as they tightened the circle forcing the protestors to start pushing against them.

Helena the let a yell of pain as one of the cops punched her in the guts and started kicking her as she covered her head with her hands. Bucky watched horrified.

Helena then reached to her leg and pulled a Swiss Army grade knife and with lighting moves she stabbed the cop in his calve and stood up quickly with blood on her nose and mouth as she spit on his shield.

"YOU SHOULD PROTECT US NOT HARM US! SCREW YOU!" She yelled as she kicked him and then she raised her hand and closed it tight in a fist and the guy's head snapped to his right.

"Did she just…" Bucky asked horrified and looked at Strange who also had frozen.

"What did you do, Helena!" The same man like in the bathroom scene appeared next to her and looked concerned.

"He's asleep, I didn't break his neck, chill! I'm not a killer." Helena told him before she turned to face her fellow rioters and she punched a cop in his ribs and then threw him off the protestor that ended up being John.

"You good?" Helena asked him as she offered her hand for his to grasp and stand up.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that? You are bleeding from the mouth, a sign of punctured lung." John said to her worried and she shook her head no before she saw Zia being dragged by her hair into an alley.

"NO! ZIA!" She run after the cop and John run behind her.

"LET HER GO YOU PIG!" Helena yelled loudly as she rushed and grasped the cop's wrist and tried to pry the hairs out of his clutch. He pushed her and Zia to the ground and took his clog out, John had frozen in his spot and the cop swing it at Helena's leg and the sound of bone's breaking and Helena screams echoed before the cop fell on Helena because John had grabbed a chair from the trash and threw it at his head.

Helena crying she pushed him off her and Zia helped her up as she limped towards John who was breathing heavily.

"He broke my knee cap." Helena winced as John helped her walk and Zia went to check the coast. Suddenly the sound of gunshot was sound and Helena's screams as John collapsed on her.

"ZIA! JOHN!" Helena cried out as she held John's bleeding limp body and Zia rushed to the cop who aimed his gun at the girls. Bucky and Strange froze in horror when suddenly the cop was gun downed by three shots and the girls turned to see a SWAT member.

Then the member took his mask off and Helena started sobbing as she held John's body close to her and checked for pulse only to cry harder when she found none.

"What the hell Antony!" Zia exclaimed in relief as he glared at her.

"I warned you they were coming prepared, sister! Is he…is John dead?" Antony asked horrified and Helena nodded as she kissed his lips and rested her forehead on hers. Antony grasped his chest and then a minute later Fotis rushed to them.

"Holy fuck!" Fotis exclaimed in sadness and shock as Antony hugged him and kissed him passionately and then Fotis hugged Zia who was crying.

"I'm sorry, Helena, I can't do anything for him but I can patch your bullet wound and leg." Fotis said as he took a first aid kit out of his backpack and Helena ignored him as she was sobbing.

"That's is unfair! It's like 1973 all over again!" Zia sobbed in her older brother's arms as he too had tears in his eyes.

"That's what they want, to pin families against each other, target our most upheld moral of all so we wouldn't rise up." Fotis spatted as he gently studied Helena's wounded arm.

"Bastads…" Zia spatted.

"John shouldn't have died! He was just 19…he didn't even finished his army duties…next year he was being drafted…" Helena sobbed as she held looked at the riots happening outside alley.

"Helena, no!" The man from the bathroom again appeared next to her.

"I'm going to kill them!" Helena spatted as she held John's body tighter and Fotis studied her concerned.

"Helena, don't go there…don't go back to your rage black outs…we aren't at school anymore, you might end up in jail!" Fotis said concerned as he forced Helena to look at him cupping her face.

"That's the only language they get, a life for a life." Helena exclaimed as she slapped his hand away.

"Not all, Helena, most of us we weren't told why we were called to the center of the city, most of us haven't even picked up our weapons, I picked it up because I saw my older brother...whenever I see him shit hits the fan." Antony said in a sad defense.

"What do you mean you saw Aristides, Antony?" Zia asked confused.

"I don't know, it started after Kosovo, whenever you, I or our sisters were in danger I would see him, the closer he's standing the worse the danger…he was sitting opposite me and then he eyed the guns and nodded before I blinked and he was gone." Antony said to his sister.

"Shit, man! That's fucked up! I remember seeing the news, no one survived…"

"That's wrong, my cousin Gregory survived Kosovo and he was in the same unit as Aristides, he delivered them the news himself, I was with him holding Zia, Sophia and Eva as they sobbed. I don't think Eva remembers him other than photos." Helena spoke monotonously as Fotis patched her arm wound she was looking at the wall as she held John's body.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Zia asked lost.

"I have to call it in, I will once Fotis helps Helena's leg and then you leave or else you get arrested. And I'm sorry Helena but John's body has to stay here, it's a crime scene now." Antony said with a tired sigh as he held his sister in his arms shielding her from the riots with his body.

Bucky and Strange were horrified by the events and Bucky had a heartbroken face on.

"Barnes? What is it?" Strange asked confused.

"It was last week when her period was late and we started discussing the prospect of kids, she wanted to name our first son John and when I asked her why she smiled saddened and said it was a name of a friend of hers who died too young. I never questioned it! Never! But I didn't expect this! I expected that maybe he died from an illness or an accident…not murdered! In front of her…protecting her." Bucky said horrified and ashamed.

"I'm so sorry, Barnes! You wife is a fighter though, even the little we have seen it's evident that she suffered a lot and we don't know how much more she will…was tested before she met you." Strange said in a sympathetic tone.

Bucky rubbed his head and then the scene changed again.

Helena was sitting in her bed with a cast on her leg as she had her laptop on her lap.

"So, how are you?" Zia asked as she sat on Helena's bed.

"Fucking peachy, they pinning this on us!" She exclaimed as she turned the laptop to Zia who let some curse words.

"I don't know what you just said in that Pontic dialect but I agree 110%" She said smirking and Zia mocked a bow before she left and then came back and threw her a comic book.

"I found these in Aristides' drawer, your dad might like them, it's DC." She said smiling and Helena nodded.

"I'll ask him this weekend, I'm going home. Mum learned what happened and wants me to start seeing a therapist back home." She says with a roll in her eyes.

"Ha! Last time we saw a therapist was when the school was investigating Elsa's dad for abuse allegations and he ended up in jail for sex trafficking his own daughters." Zia said chuckling darkly.

"We had the Disney childhood, didn't we?" Helena laughed darkly and Zia nodded.

"Of course, I loved it! My favorite memory of the bomb threat in our school!" Zia said sarcastically. Helena laughed at her and nodded her head.

"My favorite was a kid brought a hand grandee at school and set it off. You were sick at home." Helena said laughing and Zia pouted.

"Damn! I missed the best near death experiences ever!" Zia exclaimed sarcastically as both girls were laughing hysterically.

"Are we insane?" Zia asked Helena after they sobered up a bit.

"Yes, most definitely but the world is fucked up so what the hell!" Helena said smiling sadly and Zia rested her head on Helena's forehead.

"Around this time I would be FaceTiming with John…he was getting to go on his night shift at the factory…" Helena said with a sad tone and Zia nodded.

"I miss him too…not saying it's the same but he had grown on me a bit…he was funny and always brought the life to the party." Zia said to Helena with a sad tone too.

"We should celebrate him!" Zia exclaimed after a little and Helena nodded but then her eyes fell to her leg.

"Don't mind that! I'll call the guys and we put music on here and we get drunk, we will have an Irish wake…although he was half Russian and Cypriot…" Zia exclaimed as she stood up and took her phone out and then grabbed Helena's phone from the night stand and left the room.

Helena was looking at her computer screen with a photo of her and John during the last summer, she had met his parents and Bucky and Strange suddenly knew that.

Bucky had a sympathetic look in his face, he knew what it felt to lose someone.

They were then shown the scene of the house with flashing LED lights as Russian rap music was blurring through the speakers and the living room was full people who were drinking and talking amongst themselves.

Helena was drinking a beer and sat on the couch with her leg on a chair as she watched the windows outside of other apartments.

The scene changed again to Helena walking normally again as she was holding a bunch of grocery bags and she was walking alongside an older bald guy.

"Dad, do you think that Constance would like our veggie burgers? I mean what about her diabetes?" Helena asked confused and the man with the identical eyes as Helena sighed and shrugged.

"We have beans in the fridge if she doesn't like it then she can eat that or make a sandwich." He said tiredly and Helena nodded.

The scene changed to Helena in a rooftop bar as she held a Vodka lemonade and watched her sister and her friends dancing.

"So, I met this cute guy by the bar, he's name is Pavlos and he's from Ioanina!" Zia sat next to her and raised her glass to the barista who smiled and Helena smiled holding her thumbs up.

"And of course you know each other…how?" Zia said rolling her eyes and Helena laughed.

"His mum lives next to my grand-aunt Eugenia's house, he called us to tell us they broke into the house and he gave CPR to my grand-aunt and stayed with her until paramedics came." Helena said smiling sadly.

"He's the same age as us…that means he was six years old back then!" Zia exclaimed concerned.

"No, he was thirteen." Helena corrected her and Zia sighed in relief.

"I mean it's not better but…at least he's older and I like older guys…" Zia said with a shrug as she sipped her cocktail.

"And the good news is that he has your number, he asked for it earlier today when he came to pick up some eggs from us and saw you painting the door." Helena said smirking as she wiggled her eyebrows and Zia squealed happily.

"You are the best wing woman!" Zia declared and Helena laughed.

"Well, that's because they never seen two pretty best friends one of them gotta be ugly." Helena said smirked and Zia frown as she slapped Helena's head upwards.

"Bullshit! Any guy should be honored to date you!"

"I don't think I want to date after what happened with John…"

"Well, if you're not ready yet then you don't have to, just make sure you give my number to all the cuties in this town." Zia exclaimed and Helena laughed as she shook her head then her sister came up to them.

"Do you guys want to go walk by the beach?" Stella asked them and they nodded as they paid for their drinks and Zia let Pavlos know where they would be.

It was way later when Stella and Helena played volleyball by the beach when Zia was stargazing when another guy sat next to her.

"And I'm official off shift!" Pavlos said smirking down at her and Zia smiled.

"Hey, Pavlos!" Stella waved and he waved back as Helena nodded his way and he copied her.

"She's still grieving John's death? I met him last summer, cool dude…" Pavlos said saddened and Zia nodded.

"Don't tell her that but John was planning to propose to her, he asked me if I could help him pick up a ring." Zia told Pavlos and Pavlos gasped and looked at Helena and then back at Zia.

"That's brutal!" Pavlos whispered-exclaimed and Zia nodded sad.

"I want to immigrate to Mars." Zia said after a while.

"I prefer Pluto…and it a planet no matter what you say!" Pavlos exclaimed and Zia laughed agreeing.

The scene changed again Helena waiting for the bus while she scrolled through her phone before getting on the bus while dragging her suitcase on too and trying to ring the ticket with the winter gloves on.

Then another scene came with Helena and Zia sleeping on the bus.

Then another one with Zia and Helena and Stella shopping for presents and laughing. Then another one with Helena and Stella decorating the Christmas tree while laughing.

"YOU ALMOST SAT ON ME?! WHAT THE HELL, SIS?" Stella exclaimed as she fell off her chair from laughter and Helena held her belly as she wiped tears from her eyes.

"You were tiny and on a white bedsheet in a white onsie what was I supposed to do?" Helena exclaimed laughing in defense.

"Check if that white blob was moving before you jump on the bed?" Stella exclaimed rhetorically.

"Well, my favorite tv show was one I could care less!" Helena exclaimed laughing and Stella gasped mocking hurt as she punched Helena's knee and Helena groaned in pain and Stella quickly apologized saying she forgot.

"it's fine…let's clean this mess." Helena said as she sobered up and stood up.

Bucky and Strange chuckled at the scene before them.

"I had no idea she had a sister." Bucky said saddened.

"Really?" Strange asked shocked and Bucky nodded.

"How the hell did you two got married or in a relationship without knowing anything about her? Was it like a physical thing? Because if it was emotional you should have known about these things or even met them at some point." Strange asked confused and a lot weird out.

"It was both…I didn't know she lied to me about who she was, I never knew her name was Helena Scrobi I knew her as Helena Bozi." Bucky said betrayed.

"I'm sorry about that, Barnes. Truly." Strange said sympathetically as he patted his shoulder.

They watched as Helena laughed as she splashed water towards her sister.

Then the scene changed to Helena and Zia with Pavlos dancing at a club to a Spanish-French song as she laughed and then grabbed Pavlos and twirled him around which caused Pavlos to laugh and yell at her over the music that the extended hand was for him to twirl her not the other way around and Helena laughing shrug and kept dancing. She then yelled over to Zia and Pavlos she was going to the bathroom and rushed to pee.

They watched her as she washed her hands and saw another woman washing them extensively.

"Are you okay?" Helena asked the woman worried and the woman nodded.

"Germs…they are everywhere and you can never be too careful." The woman said as she finished shampooing her hands.

"Tell me about it! I'm autoimmune compromised and I carry a small pharmacy in my bag just in case! I was a child when we have the H1N1 pandemic and since then mum drilled it into my head to always be ready for everything." Helena said chuckling as she finished drying her hands.

"Sorry to hear that but you are doing what's best for your health. H1N1 got me into med school, I started as nurse in infectious areas and once we won the pandemic I started med school full time. The things I've seen…" The woman said chuckling as she dried her hands too.

"I'm Helena."

"I'm Rania."

"Well, Rania enjoy your vacations for now, Aigio is a beautiful town." Helena said smiling kindly.

"You're local, huh?" Rania asked smiling.

"No, my maternal grandma was born and raised here, we are visiting family. I live in Pella." Helena said shrugging and Rania smiled.

"The birthplace of Alexander The Great, must be lucky to be so close to history!" Rania exclaimed in appreciation.

"It's a burden really because Pella isn't just Alexander the Great's birthplace, it has a most recent history that haunts in residents…" Helena said in a sad smile.

"I know about this…I'm from Kilkis." Rania said smiling.

"Shut up! I lived there for six years when I was a kid! I lived next to the 2nd Public High School!" Helena exclaimed amazed.

"No way! My cousin Andrianna lives there too, with her sisters'" Rania started saying and Helena's eyes were wide and happy.

"Constance and Rafaela! I know them! They were my childhood best friends! Miss Netta used to babysit me and my sister, Stella!" Helena finished for Rania who was shocked and happy.

"Wait a minute…holy shit! You're Lena!" Rania exclaimed as she slapped her head and Helena laughed as she nodded.

"I prefer Helena now but yeah! How small is the world! My gosh!" Helena exclaimed as Rania and Helena hugged each other.

"Is your sister with you?" Rania asked Helena after the embrace.

"No, she's at home, she hurt her back dancing yesterday. Is anyone else with you?" Helena said smiling and Rania nodded excited.

"Kostas, Andrianna and her fiancé Dimitris, Rafaela and her husband Makis and Constance, my brothers are joining us tomorrow for a few days with their wives." Rania said smiling happily as Helena jumped excited and Rania grabbed her hand and dragged her to a booth of the club where a bunch of people were talking amongst themselves when they noticed Rania grinning like a madwoman and holding Helena's hand.

"GUYS! LOOK WHO I FOUND AT THE BATHROOM! LENA!" Rania yelled over the music and suddenly everyone stood up and Helena was hugged and greeted as she smiled happy.

Bucky and Strange were smiling happy to see Helena reuniting with her old friends.

The scene changed to Helena laughing as she was sitting in a big table full of people as she clink her wine glass with many others.

She looked genuine happy and Bucky was shocked and sad because he never seen that smile on her. Strange noticed that and couldn't help but ask;

"Once we figure out what is wrong with her, will you divorce her?"

"What?" Bucky asked confused and caught off guard.

But before he could think of a remotely okay answer scenes started passing in lighting speed like someone put the DVR on fast forward.

"What is happening?" Bucky asked alerted and terrified.

"We are being pushed further into her mind, but I'm not the one pushing us like I was doing until now…I think she wants us to find out more about her." Strange said visibly trying to regain control over this.

Bucky felt relieved that she wanted them to know more and they were invading her privacy.

They were slammed into a scene where Helena was running around her apartment gathering her things like wallet, keys, bag and mask?

She wore latex gloves under her wool gloves and hang her tongue out.

"I hate latex…" She mumbled as she tried not to puke visible getting disgusted.

She then put a surgical mast on and her hat. Then her phone rang and she sighed as she picked it up.

"Yes, I got the guidelines, thanks, Zia! Is your college shutting down too?" Helena said tiredly and as she tried maneuver her suitcase out of the door in one hand.

"Okay, keep me posted. Be safe!" Helena said on the phone after a while and hang up.

She then rushed back inside the apartment put an army bag over her shoulders and then a messenger bag over her left shoulder and her laptop bag over her right shoulder and then grabbed a cooler bag, she zipped up her jacket and started walking out the door before locking.

She put the keys in her pocket and entered the elevator dragging her suitcase with her.

Bucky and Strange watched her as she did a marathon run with all of these bags on her trying to catch two public buses and another bus.

They saw her wince as she checked the red marks the bags left on her shoulder and winced when she touched them but kept going.

They noticed how she was careful not to touch any surface that wasn't necessary and everyone around her wore similar masks and kept their distances. She even got her temperature tested before boarding the last bus.

She fell asleep on the bus when she jolted awake as the bus came into a halt and sighed as she got ready to climbed down. They watched her getting home and sanitizing her hands and bags, having a shower before hugging hello her family.

"Was your trip safe, Helena?" Her mum asked as they played cards in the kitchen sipping hot chocolate.

"It was." Helena said as she studied her cards.

"Maria's husband told me that the WHO declared it an epidemic in the States just like China had couple weeks ago." Helena's mum said deep in thoughts.

"My doctor warned me that this is a SARS virus which means both you and I are High Risk patients, we shouldn't go out except if we can't avoid it." Helena said with hints of fear in her tone.

"Especially you, sweetie, this virus is lethal to you."

"No, mum, it attacks older people more, no offense, but you are in the age criteria according to the Worldwide Health Guidelines." Helena disagreed fiercely.

"Yes, but SARS is a respiratory virus, dear, you are prone to respiratory infections since you were a baby that is why is more lethal to you. I have 50/50 chances of surviving you have 30/50 chances of dying than surviving." Her mum explained with a heartbreaking sadness.

Helena refused to believe it and put a card down.

"Girls! Come here!" Her dad's voice made them rush to the living room where her dad was watching the news.

"And we are letting the public know that today at 9 pm the European Union has declared that SARS-COV-02 also known as Covid-19 and Coronavirus is officially regarded as a pandemic. Effective immediately every country under the European Union is on lockdown, travel bans are being placed in a matter of a week, travelers go to your countries embassies in your areas to seek further guidelines. Planes, ships, trains, busses and taxis are being grounded until further notice. Additionally, cafés, schools and colleges are shutting down from tomorrow. All non-essential workplaces are shutting down, for further information on which establishment is considered essential visit the Worldwide Health Organization site. Thank you for listening. Stay safe, we are in this together!" The news anchor said in an emotional numb tone but then flashed a sympathetic smile to the camera.

Helena froze as she looked at her sister who angrily marched back into her room slamming the door shut.

"I'll go talk to her, she looked forward to the school trip." Helena's mum said as she walked out.

"So, I'm the lucky generation that will survive two pandemics, huh?" Helena asked rhetorically as she sat next to her dad and he hugged her.

"Yep! We got this, Wolfie!" He told her as he squeezed her and Helena chuckled.

"Stop calling me that!" Helena said laughing as she blushed.

"Nope! Until you stop being able to smell and hear and scare the living daylights out of me with your silent walking I'm not stopping calling you that." Her dad said chuckling and Helena rolled her eyes.

"It was once!"

"Yeah right, remember when we got on the rooftop to watched the International Space Station crossing over us that you could hear Miss Tatiana's conversation with her son about his wedding to Jacob's daughter, Eva? They are three blocks down and they were in their own balcony…that is not normal, Wolfie!" Her dad said chuckling as he pinched her cheeks and she laughed.

"It's not my fault they were yelling."

"Sure, they were yelling!" Her dad teased her and she just rolled her eyes as she slammed on the couch and started typing on her phone.

"We are seeing the next episode of Cosmos?" Helena asked her dad who smiled like a child and nodded.

"I'm making tortillas, want me to make some so we can eat it while we are watching?" Helena asked her dad who nodded excited and Helena went to the kitchen to make them.

Bucky and Strange got to see Helena and her dad discussing the documentary about earth's earliest civilizations and the useful architecture of the first cities just like the documentary played on the tv.

Bucky was surprised she knew so much since they never did anything like this…he really didn't know her, did he?

They were watching as Helena was getting ready to go to bed and soon they were watching her as she was having a nightmare. She let a scream out and jolted upwards as she swing her right hand and her chair on her desk was yanked away.

"Did she just…use telekinesis?" Strange asked Bucky shocked and he just sighed unsure of anything he knew about his wife.

She sighed as she stood up and picked up her chair and refolded her clothes then checked the clock and smiled it was 3 am.

"Happy birthday to myself…" She whispered to herself as she climbed back on her bed.

They watched as she woke up in the morning and she was not happy about that so she grumbled as she walked to the kitchen and said hi to her family who seemed normal.

"Why aren't they singing to her happy birthday?" Bucky asked confused.

She made coffee for her and her mum and then some weird form of toasted bread.

They ate in silence as music played and Helena scrolled through Instagram.

"What do you want for lunch, Helena?" Her mum asked her with a smile that showed love.

"Can I cook some steaks with mash potatoes?" Helena asked excited and her mum nodded as Helena stood up and started gathering the ingredients.

The scene changed again and Bucky with Strange saw how it was after lunch when Helena went to the bathroom and returned to find her family with a birthday cake and sneaky smiles.

They started singing to her and Helena smiled.

"Happy 20th birthday, my little miracle!" Helena's mum said as she hugged her and Helena was crying from happiness.

"I'm sorry that we don't have any presents, things have been hard this year." Her dad said ashamed and Helena shook her head.

"It's okay dad. I understand. But what is in that box?" She asked as she pointed the green box with the golden bow.

"That present is from your grandpa, he gave it to me when he learned that I was pregnant with you." Her mum said smiling.

Helena opened the box with tears in her eyes and saw a necklace and saw a green emerald stone surrounded by a golden locket.

"That's my birthstone. It must cost a fortune! How did he know?" Helena asked shocked and confused and her dad clapped his hands excited.

"That's gonna be so satisfying!" Her dad mused excited.

"What?" Helena asked confused.

"Do you remember the stories I used to tell you about a little girl who could talk to the animals and move the earth? And had other kids who were her friends had different powers yet everyone had the same locket but with a different stone in them and different powers?" Her dad asked her and she nodded.

"It wasn't a story." Her mum told her smiling.

"Um…how is that…dad you said you got the idea from the legends of Zambezi in the DC comic books." Helena said confused.

"Yes, but they weren't inspired, were they?" Stella asked her parents as she peered to see the necklace better.

"No, the person who created these comics he was from a different universe and wanted to introduce that universe through his art." Her dad said as he smiled excited.

"So, we are from that universe?" Helena asked confused.

"Partly yes. My parents were from that universe." Her mum said and Helena's eyes and Stella's eyes widen in shock.

"WHAT?" Both girls exclaimed in shock and her dad let this laugh of excitement as he clapped his hands.

"I've been waiting 25 years for this! It's so good!" Her dad exclaimed amused as he rubbed his hands. Helena's mum glared at him amused and he calmed down a bit but he was still grinning.

"My dad was totem barer, this is the Earth totem while my mum was a Metahuman that could control the 4Ts and then some. She could use telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation and time travel that could either happen through astral projection or through dreams or actual physical teleportation. I have the same gifts as my mum and so do you girls but the totem didn't choose me. You remember the story of your birth?" Helena's mum said with a small smile as the girls gaped at her but nodded.

"I was born dead and then I brought myself back…" Helena said confused.

"You didn't brought yourself back, your grandpa appeared in the delivery room and laid the totem on you and you were brought back."

"How is that possible? Grandma said that during Helena's birth grandpa flat lined since he was in the ICU already due to cancer." Stella said confused.

"His spirit she means." Her dad said to Stella who nodded now understanding.

"When the totem laid on me it chose me?" Helena asked confused.

"Yes, and grandpa's condition also became better because he needed to train you." Helena's mum said.

"So you know that both of us have powers and all the weekends we spent at grandma's…" Helena asked shocked and her parents nodded. Stella and Helena sighed in relief and slammed back on their chairs.

"The martial arts training what did it have to do with anything?" Helena asked her dad.

"Grandpa said that a totem barer should be ready for anything besides he wasn't just a Professor, he had another job." Helena's mum said smiling.

"What?" Stella asked suspicious.

"Time Master." Helena's mum said smirking and the girls gaped at her and her dad giggled excited.

"You gotta be shitting us!?" Stella exclaimed amazed and Helena nodded agreeing with her little sister.

"No, she's not! Why do you think I made you both to read DC comics, you have to learn your maternal universe' history." Helena's dad said amused and the girls looked at him.

"Are you a Time Master too?" Helena asked her dad who shook his head.

"He's not but I am, I took over after dad became too old to go on missions." Helena's mum said with a shy smile.

"That is why you knew what Helena and I were doing at school! You're a time spy not the KGB!" Stella exclaimed as she pointed her finger at her mum with a amused smile.

Everyone laughed at her outburst and Helena's mum nodded at her younger daughter.

"So, what now?" Helena asked confused as she wore the necklace.

"You wait until you are given a quest and train, you need to develop a connection with the totem." Her mum said as she pulled out a huge book and then smiled.

"We start training tomorrow!" Her mum said smirking and Helena gulped afraid.

"So, why did grandpa got in this universe?" Stella asked confused.

"They thought it was a safer universe than in comparison and they made sure to change the entire family's minds making sure that the immigration process so ancestors were popping in and out history so it would explain our existence in this universe in case someone decides to proves us wrong." Helena's mum explained with a sad tone since it was evident this universe wasn't safer.

The girls nodded and sighed.

"Why wait this long? Why did grandma and grandpa made us believe it was only them and us who were special?" Helena asked confused and not happy about it but she wasn't angry.

"They taught you how to keep secrets in our world keeping secrets even from your own family might save them or save you or both." Helena's mum explained softly.

"For example, your mum hasn't told me everything she has done for the Time Masters not just because it's classified but because I know I'm already a liability if her dad's enemies or her enemies find me or you." Helena's dad said seriously but with an understanding tone.

Helena nodded and looked confused.

"So, I'm not human? None of us are human? What about our illnesses?" Helena asked confused.

"We aren't humans, we are Metahumans but that doesn't mean we are safe from illnesses, in that part we are human enough." Helena's mum said to her daughter with a sigh and Helena nodded.

"But I am human, if you were wondering…" Her dad said awkwardly and the girls laughed at him.

Strange and Bucky were confused, shocked and amazed.

"What does all this mean, Strange? What's the DC comic?" Bucky asked Strange confused and lost.

"Barnes, I'm on the same boat as you. I have no idea!" Strange said and suddenly they were taken away again and shown memories fast like a training montage you would see in an action movie.

Only to be thrown in a memory where Helena was in her room typing on her computer when Zia walked in with her surgical mask on and then took it off.

"So, lockdown is done, want to go out for coffee with the guys?" Zia asked and Helena nodded.

After that they saw how a second lockdown was initiated and they were five mutations of the virus. In total there had been a full year in lockdown with only three months of a break in between.

They saw how Helena and Stella with her family and Zia watched the news silent as riots, protests and terrorist attacks were happening.

"Do they think we are blind and won't dare search for what is happening around the world other than the pandemic?" Zia exclaimed angrily.

"Yes." Helena's dad said disappointed.

"They are trying to brainwash us to think that because a pandemic happened there was cease fire on every war in the world. They just stop reporting on it because it doesn't sells anymore." Helena said from her spot as she wore the Earth totem, she was filing her nails.

"We must do something!" Zia exclaimed annoyed.

"Can you afford that?" Helena asked her challenging her.

"Yes I can!" Zia said determined and Helena nodded.

"Then try but you are going to fail, they always win. It's better to keep your mouth shut and survive." Helena said in a sad tone. Zia watched her shocked.

"What happened to my best friend who beat people up in the school yard?" Zia asked disappointed.

"Held her boyfriend's dead body in her arms and cops broke her knee and tried to murder her causing her boyfriend to give his life for her. This is my second chance paid by my boyfriend's blood, I can't mess up. That's my choice. It's your choice to join the fight and I'll be there to be a support in the sidelines or someone to hide you when there's a warrant for your arrest, patch you up and so on. But I won't go to the front lines not when there's a virus that can kill me in four days time." Helena said to Zia in a serious tone and Zia nodded understanding her point and sighed.

Bucky watched her as she stared at her knee in sadness.

"Does it hurt?" Zia asked her quietly.

"Some days, I can feel the metal in my knee, every time I bend it…it feel alien." Helena said saddened.

"You know they fired my brother and the rest of the SWAT team for helping us escape?" Zia asked her as she sat next to her and Helena nodded.

"Of course they did, they government and police are corrupted. It's 1973 all over again with the false illusion of freedom due to the digital age and secrecy of illegal actions." Helena said with displeasure as she stood up and walked out of the living room.

They were taken to a living room decorated for Christmas and watched as they celebrated 2022.

Then they were taken to what looked to be Helena being vaccinated and smiling with her eyes as she got her picture taken.

Zia and Helena then hugged outside the hospital.

"I have two years to hug you!" Zia exclaimed and Helena hugged her back.

Then they were taken to another New Years' party with Helena and Zia and Stella and her boyfriend, Panos, and their parents and Zia's family as they held drinks up and counted down to zero before hugging each other and wishing happy new year and blessing 2023 when suddenly all their phones started ringing and war sirens echoed.

Bucky and Strange tensed as they followed Helena and Zia as they rushed to the balcony to see the night sky red and then Helena started to cough and covered her nose. Then Zia and Helena screamed when they saw whatever was falling from the sky land on the hospital couple feet away from Helena's hospital and they were hit by the wave of dust.

Helena raised her hand in a stop sign and she managed to contain the blast but her eyes glowed green and looked at Zia who looked shocked at her and she whispered.

"Green eyed lady…."

"RUN!" Helena yelled at her as she let the debris fall down making sure none of the houses in the neighborhood were damaged.

She walked inside to see Zia with her parents and siblings and then turned to look at her parents lost.

Zia grabbed her and Stella by the arm and rushed them to the kitchen.

"The Green eyed lady that all three of us have seen in our dreams and past life regressions, who is she? Because your eyes were just like hers!" Zia exclaimed angrily.

"I think it's the Earth totem's true form." Stella mused.

"Fine, but why me? I'm not special like you guys!" Zia exclaimed annoyed.

"Maybe you're special by association?" Helena asked confused and Zia sighed.

"We don't have time for this, you just stopped a nuclear weapon! Other cities weren't that lucky to have a totem barer to stop them, we need to evacuate through the catacombs. I need to go but we must stay in touch, once all this settles meet me by the entrance of our old high school." Zia said to her and hugged them before she rushed her parents and they left.

"Girls, gather what you can, I try to hide some work documents." Helena's mum said and they nodded as they rushed into their rooms.

Bucky and Strange were beyond shocked and terrified as they watched Helena pack a bag and her laptop.

They were taken once again to an underground facility where Helena was helping an old lady carry some of her stuff.

"Everyone is assigned a room and there are every day rations delivered to your door so we can minimize exposure to the already existing virus. If you have symptoms you press this button and a first responder will come to you and help you do a Covid test." Helena explained to the old lady who nodded.

"I survived the three wars and two pandemics I can survive this too, young girl! But thank you!" The old lady waved her off and Helena just smiled and shook her head before leaving.

"Pavlos!" Helena rushed to him and they hugged.

"I'm so glad you're safe! You got my message! Where is Magda and Lea?" Helena asked confused as she looked around her.

"They died during the missile strike…it's only me now." Pavlos said with an unreadable tone and Helena gasped and hugged him.

"Then you're staying with me, I'm an adult and I was given my own quarters, we can share so we save up space. I had you assigned to a family quarter…I'm so sorry for your loss!" Helena told him softly and he nodded.

"I don't want to go sit in a room, put me to work, where can I help? I can cook, repair machinery and organize." Pavlos said in a sad tone.

"Go to my dad, he's trying to organize the weapons and medical equipment that survived." Helena told him as she took his hand and wrote the number on his hand with her pen.

Pavlos thanked her and walked away before she sighed and looked around her to see Zia walking up to her with two injured people.

"Third degree burns and one has lost his eye and one his arm!" Zia said as Helena helped her to the infirmary.

"How is outside?" Helena asked Zia as she offered her a water bottle. Zia adjust her riffle and wiped the dirt with a cloth and sighed.

"Hell, it looks like the set of those post-apocalyptic movies. The amount of dead animals I've seen it's disheartening…we are done another billion of people, how the fuck we went from 7.8 billion to 4.3 billion in three years?" Zia rambled tired and at loss.

"I don't know, if I did I wouldn't be here, I would time travel back and change everything." Helena whispered.

"Don't you dare! I prefer this than having something totally unknown and not having these memories I have! I like myself this way no matter how shitty the world is!" Zia whispered-exclaimed in a warning Helena smiled sadly and raised her hands in surrender.

"Are you coming to the meeting after lights out?" Zia asked her and she nodded.

"Only because I know what dumb thing you'll do so I can have a rescue plan ready when shit hits the fan." Helena said smiling at her and Zia showed her, her middle finger as she sipped water.

"Just because you have higher IQ and EQ than me doesn't mean I'm dumb…I'm just overthrowing the government." Zia said smirking and Helena shook her head before living her to get washed.

Bucky and Strange were speechless…

"Maybe having lived through this, she didn't want to tell me…burden me…I haven't told her all that HYDRA has done to me." Bucky told Strange who nodded understanding Bucky's point.

"I gotta say, first you're 106 years old, your best friends are Captain America and a dude that can fly and you found to marry one of the most unusual girls ever! I think it's impossible that you are wishing for a normal life with the people you surround yourself with." Strange said chuckling and Bucky laughed at that but nodded agreeing.

They were taken once more into a different memory of her and Pavlos lying in bed.

"I'm so tired but my mind won't shut up…" Helena whined.

"I have the exact opposite problem, my mind needs to sleep my body feels like it's buzzing…" Pavlos said in a whining and pissed off tone.

"Would you punch me if I ask you?" Helena asked him and he looked confused.

"Why?"

"So I can sleep!"

"Then who is going to punch me so I can sleep?" Pavlos asked.

"Zia?"

"So you want me to walk to the other side of this catacomb to bring Zia here to punch us unconscious?" Pavlos asked in an incredulous tone.

"Yes."

"Bitch, shut up and go to sleep, you speak stupid!" Pavlos exclaimed and then forced Helena's blanket over her. Then he turned around and shut the light and tried to sleep.

Bucky and Strange were amused by the scene and confused as to why were they shown this.

Another scene came up where Helena was with Stella and their parents sitting in their room eating while they were listening to the radio with them was Pavlos too eating his portion on the floor while Helena was sitting on the bed with her parents and Stella was next to Pavlos on the floor. They looked tired and sad.

"We need to have ready the infirmary! Panos and Zia will be back and we need to heal them." Stella said nervous and hopeless.

"We will." Pavlos told her kindly and she nodded.

It was then the sound of a heavy metal door opened and the screams of people made Helena and Pavlos with Stella rush out of the room to watched a bunch of people carrying others and being bloody.

"They attacked us!" A person said as he bled from his eyes and grabbed Helena and shook her. Helena stared at him horrified and her dad instantly tore the man's hands off her and took him away and Helena remained glued to the wall.

"Helena! Helena!" Stella shook her hand before her sister's face but Helena was staring straight through Bucky.

"The war…" She whispered and Stella looked confused at her.

"What war?" Stella asked confused.

"The war I dreamt, it started." Helena said in a dawning and terrifying realization.

"You dreamed of this?" Pavlos asked confused and shocked.

"Yes, I sometimes dreams of the future…I saw this dream of this guy yelling at me then I found myself at an airport and I was watching the huge screens with the boarding and landing of airplanes and every time I would see a city or a country scenes of horrifying disasters would play before my eyes, I could feel their pain…I could smell the blood…Beirut is next, then Lebanon and then us…Athens, Thessaloniki…I couldn't handle it I needed it to stop! I couldn't bare it! I closed my ears and grasped my hand as I fell to my knees and then I saw military boots and I thought it was dad so I looked up and I saw the end of a riffle and shots fired I duck my head and I felt the bullet I saw the blood on my hands. I woke up screaming. That was eight years ago…I saw this dream eight years ago!" Helena spoke as she looked at Bucky but not really seeing him, tears were running down her eyes.

Bucky's eyes had teared up too hearing this awful dream.

Pavlos watched her horrified and hugged her tight while Stella looked around for Panos and Zia when she saw Sophia and Eva run to her.

"Antony and Zia are hurt!" Sophia and Eva yelled at the same time as blood was on their shirts and Helena shook out of it as she rushed to them and kneeled before them.

"Where are they?" Helena shook them and Eva sobbed.

"On my bed." Eva sobbed and Helena looked at Pavlos who nodded.

"Go, I bring what I can!" Pavlos said as he rushed away and Helena grasped Eva's and Sophia's hands and told them to lead the way.

They arrived at a bigger room where there were two bunk beds and a king sized bed and a table and radio.

Helena saw Zia and Antony with bullet wounds on their abdomen and they were coughing up blood as they were held by their parents and sobbing.

Helena grasped her totem and tears picked up in her eyes.

"Eva, Sophia grab your parents and get out!" Helena ordered and put her hand to press on Zia's abdomen wound.

The girls obeyed her and Pavlos came to her aid.

Bucky and Strange watched as Helena and Pavlos were trying to help Antony and Zia.

They were transport again to a different scene where Helena had the same scarf on as the protest that John was killed. Her eyes looked angry and hopeless as she looked around her she was hidden on a half collapsed roof and then yelled as she pressed an earpiece in her ear;

"TAKE COVER!"

She then aimed her gun and shot the tires of three tanks and then looked at Antony who nodded and then turned around and motioned and suddenly a bunch of people started running from all directions.

She then got up and run too when suddenly a beep went off and she opened it and smiled.

"We are setting the world right tonight!" She whispered to herself and she smiled at the sky before she run towards the very huge building where a lot of people were.

They had taken over some sort of important building and suddenly all the screens light up and all those officials were handcuffed and stood in trial and imprisoned for crimes against humanity punishable by imprisonment for life.

Bucky and Strange saw Helena run to hug Zia and Pavlos and so many others including her sister and her boyfriend.

"WE WON!" Zia exclaimed relieved and happy as Helena cried and even some soldiers were on their knees crying.

Helena walked over a soldier and offered him a tissue and a water bottle.

"Easy up soldier." Helena told him smiling and Bucky and Strange gasped at the sight of the school friend that helped Zia and Helena trapped Fotis when they were younger, he looked older and tired.

"Helena?" He asked distrustful and she kneeled and hugged him as he cried apologizing.

"You were following orders…your family is safe and is waiting for you." Helena told him as she cupped his face and he leaned in the touch.

"Thank you!" He said with a voice barely above a whisper.

"Don't thank me, Anestis, live the life you wanted before they forced your hand. Go to your boyfriend and girlfriend you left behind and hug them and kiss them and never leave them. Live!" Helena told him as she held him in her arms and he then kissed her on the cheek before he rushed to Zia's sister, Sophia and took her in his arms and kissed her.

Zia was looking shocked while Sophia was crying from happiness and Helena was clapping in happiness.

"You knew about this?" Zia asked her as she walked over to her.

"Yes, I saw his sketch in my notebook with her name, we didn't have any Sophias in our class or school or friend group at first I thought it was from his neighborhood but when I asked him and he started describing her all secretive she just said green eyes and dirty red hair and I knew. Then I caught them as I walked over to say goodbye at him before the army bus came to take him, Sophia was crying and pleading him not to go. They weren't kissing because he was 18 and she was 15 but they were hugging, now they can be together if they want. They are consenting adults." Helena said smiling happily and Zia smiled.

"I'm killing him if he hurts her though…" Zia said smiling and Helena laughed as she hugged her.

"So, that's it? You forgive me?" Anestis asked them as he walked up to them and held Sophia's hand in his.

"We were never angry at you, Anestis, we knew they were forcing your hand." Zia said seriously and hugged him then he extended his hand to Helena who hugged him too and they were group hugging.

"Welcome home!" Zia and Helena said at the same time and Anestis started crying again.

"Anestis!?" Another female voice yelled over the commotion and Anestis turned and he choked;

"Mama?!"

He run to her and then another kid younger than him dressed in black who was crying as he took off his scarf and they revealed an identical face as Anestis. Anestis and the identical guy run to each other as Anesitis sobbed out the name Michael and tight. Then he hugged their mum who had fallen to her knees and was sobbing and thanking God for returning her son.

Bucky and Strange look around them to realize they were watching the end of a civil war and they won.

Another scene came up where Helena was carrying a ton of books.

"Pavlos, little help here!" Helena yelled and Pavlos rushed to help her.

"So, how is the rebuilding going?" Pavlos asked her and she sighed.

"Not well but we are trying. It's been two years since we won. It's too soon to say anything. I'm going to finish digitizing the books upstairs." Helena said chuckling and he smiled before he studied the books Helena brought.

"You know the CIA had made a study about people like you, people who can recall past lives and stuff." Pavlos yelled after her.

"And what about it?" Helena said chuckling as she kept walking.

"Nothing, I just say that you aren't alone." Pavlos said smiling.

"I never felt alone, I have 44 different versions of me in my head." She said smirking as she walked away.

"CIA knew about people like her?" Bucky exclaimed shocked and Strange shrugged.

They were pulled again and they were seeing Helena rebuilt her home with her family when she saw Anestis run up to her.

"HELENA!" He yelled at her in a frantic tone and Helena turned to look at him.

"She was coming home from the store with groceries and she never came back! I….I and Antony went to look for her but we only found the groceries and pool of blood! We looked for her and we couldn't find her! I felt I needed to tell you…everyone thinks of her as dead. They think she was shot by someone who wasn't so happy of what happened two years ago." Anestis said as he tried to catch his breath and Helena shook her head no as tears spilled into her eyes.

"I'm joining the protective taskforce and Antony's unit which he dispatched to look for her." Anestis told her reassuringly as he held her when her knees gave out.

She was silently sobbing as Anestis helped her sit in a plastic chair and she kept crying. Stella, Panos and her parents noticed and asked what was wrong and Anestis told them and all froze in shock.

Bucky and Strange were also shocked, Bucky had grown fond of Zia's and Helena's friendship.

They were transferred again to another scene where Helena was curled into a ball in her room in the catacombs and it was so dark Bucky and Strange could barely see too. Then the scene changed again to Helena somberly typing on a desktop computer as stacks of books were around her, she looked pale and sad.

Another scene came and they watched as Helena was carrying groceries when she noticed she was being followed. She gently left the groceries to the side of the pavement and turned and grabbed the person in question and slammed them to the wall.

"Hello, Helena Joanna Scrobi! Name's Rip Hunter." The blond guy with the trench coat and a British accent said to her smirking.

"You mean Garip Hunter, as in Unknown Traveler. What do you want?" Helena spatted as she let him go and glared at him.

"So, your grandpa and mum spoke about me?" Rip said smirking as he fixed his coat and Helena glared at him as she folded her hands to her chest.

Bucky and Strange didn't like this guy and Bucky was clenching and unclenching his vibranium arm.

"More like warn me against becoming you, a rogue Time Master!" Helena yelled at him angrily.

"I did this for my family! The Time Masters killed my wife and son! And the same person the Time Masters allowed to kill them is now going after totem bearers and if I can find you so can he. His name is Vandal Savage, he's immortal so you can't outlive him even if you try. We can protect you and your family if you come with me, he will chase you and leave your family alone. You can go and say goodbye to them and I'll wait here but if you wish to stay then you and your family will die." Rip said to her seriously and Helena studied him with folded arms.

"Fine…let me say goodbye and get the groceries first." Helena said in a tired sigh and walked out of the alley.

They got into a different scene of Helena being hugged by her family.

"I promise I'll be back the moment I'm safe, I won't remain in that universe." She promised her sister who was crying and nodded.

She walked back to that alley and sighed as she held her stuff.

"How can I trust you?" She asked him and suddenly a guy walked towards her and she gasped seeing the guy she refer to as grandpa.

She jumped into his arms the moment she saw him and he hugged her back.

"Look at you! You grew up! For me you aren't born yet, your mum and dad just announced they were pregnant with you to us, this morning." Her grandpa said smiling at her proudly and Helena squeezed him.

"He asked me to protect you, you can trust me because when he learned that they put a hit on my family he knew every Time Master was expendable including him and his family, so they run to this dimension." Rip told her from behind the reuniting duo.

Bucky and Strange watched amazed, intrigued and shocked.

"Fine, I'll join your little team of misfits…or whatever." Helena said as she kept hugging her grandpa.

Bucky shook his head disappointed, he didn't like how easily did she trusted this Rip guy.

Then Bucky and Strange were yet again shown a bunch of scenes like a movie montage and both of them couldn't believe in their eyes! Helena joined a version of time traveling Avengers!

Bucky saw her fight Vandal Savage, beasts, aliens, super soldiers and assassins, she made friends and enemies!

No wonder she didn't bat an eyelash when she saw his arm and strength or met Steve and the rest of the Avengers!

Bucky felt betrayed, they could have bonded over so many things!

Strange was intrigued and amazed too he had so many questions for Helena!

The montage stopped to a scene were Helena looking around her early 30s was sipping Bourbon as she watched a calm sea from a balcony.

"Thanks for waiting! I'm sure you'd love that surprise." A man with Australian accent told her smirking excited.

"Slade, should I worry that you'd poison me or Sara or Oliver?" Helena asked amused and he laughed.

"Those days are in the past, I have my marbles back. Sorry for trying to throw a plane at you by the way or having my super soldiers try to kill you back in 2013." Slade guy said smiling guiltily.

"Apology accepted. I'm glad you managed to get your wife back. I'm sorry about your sons though." Helena said with a small smile.

"I must have expected it, I was a terrible example, they spent their lives thinking I was dead only to see me on the news when they were looking for their identity and I inspired them in a very twisted way…I tried to fix those bridges with them but now they should face the consequences of their choices like I did. Even if that means jail time and then joined ARGUS." Slade said with a sad tone.

"Maybe like that Lyla might assigned you to missions together so you can bond and start anew." Helena suggested with a small smile.

"Maybe…anyways, when I came back from Lian Yu's prison and after Chase blew up the island killing William's mum in the process and almost all of us she almost beat the shit out of me, and I have super strength!" Slade said in a sad chuckle and Helena snorted as she sipped from her glass.

"Now I want to meet her even more!" Helena said and Slade smiled looking at her like he knew something. Then sounds of cutlery falling made everyone turn to look at the window of the kitchen and a woman with dirty red hair and green eyes walked out looking nervous and anxious.

"I'm sorry but I think the burgers need to be put in the grill instate the oven…I think I broke it." The woman said apologetically and then looked at Helena and the towel in her hands fell from her hands just as the glass from Helena's grip and it was caught by Slade who smiled.

"Happy birthday, Helena!" Slade said smiling as Helena looked at him in shock and then back at an older looking Zia!

Bucky and Strange were beyond shocked!

Helena and Zia rushed to each other and hugged tight as they cried from happiness.

"YOU'RE ALIVE! OH MY GOD! HOW?" Helena exclaimed as she held Zia's shoulders and checked her over.

Slade walked over to Sara and they smiled.

"Thanks for telling me about Helena's and Zia's relationship, Captain Lance. She always spoke about Helena to me and the kids growing up It's the least I can do for my wife after everything she's been through and I put her through." Slade whispered to Sara's ear who smiled and nodded.

"How?" Helena asked shocked as she held Zia in her arms and looked at Slade.

"I don't know, I found her in 1980s laying bleeding in the beach I was surfing. I saved her and then we became friends and soon she told me the truth…Adeline, sweetie, tell her the whole story you tell it better." Slade said with a soft smile and tone. Bucky saw the love he felt for Zia in his eyes.

Soon Bucky and Strange got to hear how Zia fell through a magnetic time vortex opens randomly through the multiverse and got her there after some thugs jumped her, they didn't sexually assaulted her but physically beat her because she was part of the people who brought down the old fashioned government. She then met Slade and he believed her he helped her built the new identity of Adeline Wilson, Slade's wife. She tried to go back and Slade helped her look for a way but they couldn't so after 20 years of trying she gave up. So here she was as a 49 years old woman.

Bucky and Strange were once again shocked and amazed.

And once again they were taken to another scene where Helena was cooking in some huge ass kitchen dancing to Left Hand by Alt J when a woman with black hair and eyes and tanned skin came at her and slide across the floor.

"Ground Hog Day!" She said with urgency in her voice and Helena froze as her eyes light up green for a second and looked at the girl with a similar locket as her but it was red instead of green.

"Zari! How many times have we died?" Helena asked with urgency in her voice and panic in her eyes.

"About 100 times? I've done the fun montage and I have heard Nate and Amaya have sex way too many times before flashing each other to forget it happened…pathetic really… I think there's something in the trash compactor!" Zari girl said in a hurry and Helena shut off the kitchen and yanked her knife from her leg as they walked over to the trash compactor on guard as the Zari girl had a small tornado summon.

"Is she like Helena?" Strange asked amazed.

Just then Helena yanked the door and another guy fell out of it begging mercy.

"GARY? Both women exclaimed annoyed and shocked.

"Hey girls!" Gary guy stammer.

Just then there was a crashing sound and Zari curshed;

"Great! We are out of time!" Zari said in defeat.

Bucky and Strange watched horrified as Helena saw a wave of blinding light and fire hitting whatever they were in.

Bucky and Strange saw Helena again cooking in the kitchen as if the previous scene didn't happen which shocked them but this time Sara's voice called her to the bridge.

"Are they on a ship? And did Helena just died 100 times?" Bucky asked confused and tired.

How many hours were they doing this?

She walked and gasped when she saw Zari aiming a gun at her head.

"I can't keep doing this guys! I'm sorry!" Zari sobbed Bucky and Strange gasped when they saw her do that.

Helena used her hand and her locket glowed and the gun was grumbled.

"What is going on Zari?" Helena asked her horrified.

"I keep living the same day over and over again because we are nearing a black hole!" Zari sobbed and everyone gasped.

"Did she just say black hole?" Bucky exclaimed terrified.

The scene changed again to Helena visiting her family and was crying as she held her parents hands and so did Stella.

They were dying and they did die the moment Helena told them she was here.

Bucky looked saddened as Helena sobbed.

They saw the funeral and everything when Stella walked to Helena in the balcony.

"I'm pregnant and Panos proposed…we wanted you to stay you for the wedding, I need you to be my maid of honor and walk me down the aisle, all of our family is dead, you and I are the only one's left…and this baby…" Stella said saddened and Helena nodded as she hugged her sister happy for the new addition of the family.

They saw her stay for the wedding and the birth of little Maria, her niece after their mother.

The next seen was of Helena showing her team pictures from the wedding and of her niece as they awed at how adorable she was.

"Those cheeks!" Sara gushed and Helena nodded agreeing.

Bucky and Strange smiled because it was indeed a cute baby.

In the next scene it was Helena eating a sandwich while Mick Rory, the bald angry looking guy, was drinking beer and fixing his gun.

"So, Mick, me, Nate and Ray will play Scrabble later want to come?" Helena asked him with a friendly tone.

"No."

"Okay."

"Good talk…" Helena said and Mick glared at her.

"Don't take it personal, my friend here, doesn't like playing board games that exceed his mental capacity." Another guy with a buzzcut, blue eyes and a fur coat said as he strolled into the kitchen.

"That's not very kind of you to say about your friend, Snart!" Helena retorted back with an angry look in her eyes.

"He's right, Haircut and Poster boy are smarter than me, I'll lose and I don't like losing." Mick said from his spot at the table.

"Hey, guys, I'm also dumb compare to those certified geniuses and English isn't my first language but I want to play to have fun and so should you, Mick, not everything is about winning or losing! Who knows you might learn something…like the weak spots of some billionaire genius that always steals your laundry." Helena exclaimed in compassion.

"You should become a politician." Snart said chuckling as he ate his sandwich.

"Hell no!" Helena exclaimed chuckling and Snart smirked.

"I don't want to play. And that is final, leave me alone!" Mick exclaimed as he grabbed his stuff and left.

"He's not people's person." Snart said to her as she frowned.

"I got that but as Ray said we are team we should learn to live with one another and work, you see how recent missions went to shit, huh? We are lucky we aren't dead or killed someone innocent! We have to learn to work together and that means stupid bonding exercises! Don't you think I would love to lock myself in my room and never come out until it's safe for me to go home?" Helena exclaimed in a tired tone.

"Ah yes! Sara told me you weren't from Starling City or Central City." Snart said smirking and Helena rolled her eyes.

"I'm not of this dimension either, buddy!" Helena told him annoyed and Snart shot up straighter.

"What?" He exclaimed in intrigue.

"I'm not from your Earth, I'm from Earth 7." Helena said to him with a sigh and Snart looked shocked.

"And how is it there?" Snart asked excited.

"Well, I'm from the 2036 which means we survived a pandemic, the 3rd world war, a nuclear missile strikes, we brought down the governments of the world and we built a United Earth Government with smaller governing posts for each country and social class and every single representative serves only for four years and there is a global election to vote for those individuals and they can be anyone from any religious and social background except extremists. The moment I left we had just elected our first council." Helena told him and Snart's eyes were wide with intrigue.

"That sounds amazing! Although I prefer anarchy." Snart said fascinated and Helena laughed.

"Of course you do! Trust me it was anarchy for two years, we are only 4 billion left, the pandemic and wars wiped the rest out." Helena told him with a sad smile and Snart sober up.

"Did you lose anyone?" Snart asked softly.

"Yes, first my boyfriend, he was murdered by police and I held him in my arms, he took the bullets meant for me during a riot. Then my cousins, aunts and uncles during the pandemic and missile strike, then my best friend she was murdered by street thugs and now my parents. My sister is the only blood family I have left." Helena told him with a sad look in her eyes and Snart was gaping at her in horror.

"My gosh!" Snart whispered in pity and shock.

"It's okay, they are in peace…" Helena said as she wiped her eyes and Snart asked to hug her and she nodded.

Bucky and Strange looked at sad at her and Bucky was getting sick of this.

"Strange how much longer? I'm only shown what I don't know about my wife and not what is wrong with her!" Bucky exclaimed annoyed and betrayed.

"I think we are nearing the end." Strange said with an understanding tone.

The scene changed again to one where Helena was running through the corridors of this ship and had blood on her clothes and a wide gush on her eyebrow bleeding into her eye. Bucky and Strange tensed as they saw a metal suit chasing her.

"Helena Bozi!" The metal suit exclaimed as he aimed his gigantic weapon in every turn hoping to catch her.

"What the hell is that thing!?" Bucky exclaimed worried and afraid for his wife and Strange just shook his head unsure.

Helena grabbed a gun from a secret compartment on the ship and kept running when she was grabbed by a metal arm.

"RAY!" She whispered exclaimed in horror and relief and saw the metal thing pass them.

"Where are the others?" Helena whispered and she looked at Ray's motion to point Snart who was bleeding.

"It's Mick." Snart whispered in pain.

"What?" Helena exclaimed shocked.

"Remember when we were all time stranded because of Rip? You and Nate and Amaya were stranded in 1940s and Kendra and I in 1950s? Well he was stranded in an unknown time apparently, they Time Masters found him and brainwashed him and sent him to kill us, specifically me, his best friend." Snart said in pain as Helena kneeled to put pressure on the wound.

"Shit! Poor Mick…we need to save him!" Helena decided and Snart winced as he nodded.

"You go guys, I'll stay here, I slow you down." Snart said and Helena with Ray looked at him not sure if it was the right choice.

But they did leave him only the moment to be found by the metal man.

"Ray take his helmet off!" Helena said and Ray suddenly minimized and did as instructed. The moment the helmet was off brainwashed Mick attacked Helena choking her and pinning her to the wall of the ship with inhuman strength given by the suit.

Helena was struggling against him and Ray was frozen in spot obeying Helena's eyes who told him not to do anything.

Bucky and Strange were frozen too.

"WHAT IS HE DOING HE'S GOING TO KILL HER!" Bucky yelled enraged and desperate for Helena to hear him and fight back!

Helena then met Bucky's eyes and Bucky could swore he saw confusion in her eyes as she acknowledged him for the first time. But that moment was so brief that Bucky questioned if it even happen or was it his wishful imagination. He saw Helena touch Mick's forehead and her eyes glowed green as Mick let her down and he stumbled back holding his head and mumbling no no no as he fell on his knees.

Helena cough and Ray rushed to help her but she waved him off as she crawl to Mick.

"Your name is Mick Rory, son of Rebecca Rory and Dick which I think is for Richard Rory, your best friend is Leonard Snart and you love him like a brother, you tolerate us for him, you enjoy burning things which also mean you make killer BBQs when allowed into the kitchen! You love to write and tinker with machinery, you're not dumb you prefer to keep your intelligence to yourself! You love beer and donuts in that order which I found disgusting but that's besides the point! You like Greek cuisine which surprised me since you never told me when I made it for you and the team! Your name is Mick Rory not Chronos, they manipulated and hurt you! We hurt you too and if you give us a chance we can apologize!" Helena told him with a hoarse voice as she tried to make Mick look at her but he wouldn't.

He was sobbing as he held his head.

Helena looked at Ray and saw Sara carrying Snart to the med bay.

"Gideon, is Snart going to be alright?" Helena asked and the ship answered yes.

"You hear that? He's going to live, you didn't kill him!" Helena told Mick as she gently grasped his shoulder.

"Take the suit off me!" Mick said sobbing and Helena studied the suit and then pressed two buttons in the shoulder pads and the suit fell.

"Thank god you are dressed underneath!" Helena exclaimed relieved and Mick looked at her and let a small smile before he walked away.

Helena then collapsed to the wall and Bucky saw the angry bruise in her neck and then she looked at Ray who had been looking at her shocked.

"How did you know to do that?" Ray asked her shocked.

"My grandpa was brainwashed by them before leaving, they tried to keep him by doing so, he taught me how to break brainwashing by combining my Metahuman powers and the totem's resurrection ability to reignite parts of the brain they suppressed. It takes a lot out of a person but…you can do it." Helena said exhausted and then Ray looked at her in awe before he realized that Helena was staring at him with an unreadable expression.

"Helena? HELENA?!" Ray rushed to her the second he realized she was staring at him abnormally and search for a pulse but found none.

"GIDEON! HELENA!" Ray exclaimed as he grabbed her body and rushed her to the med bay where Snart and Sara were and looked horrified.

"Gideon, run diagnosis!" Sara exclaimed terrified.

"Unable to run diagnosis on Miss Helena Bozi, no heartbeat detected." Gideon said and Ray started tearing up.

"Jolt her heart, Gideon!" Sara yelled terrified at the AI and Helena's body was jerked.

Bucky was looking horrified at Helena's unexpressive eyes.

"Again Gideon!" Sara yelled terrified as tears picked up in her eyes. Helena's body was jolted and her eyes closed.

"No heartbeat, Captain." Gideon said with a seemingly troubled tone.

"Again!" Sara yelled as she run to Helena's side as she jerked again.

"I'm sorry Captain, she's gone." Gideon said quietly.

Bucky's legs couldn't carry him yet and he fell to his knees crying. How could she be dead when he just woke up with her by his side?

Ray, Sara and Snart also cried as Helena's head was tilted to the right and had her eyes closed.

"Helena wake up!" Bucky begged as he walked over to her and tried to touch her but his hands went through her.

"Who are you?" Helena's tired voice asked them confused as Strange and Bucky looked shocked behind them.

"Helena?! Oh god! Helena!" Bucky sobbed as he rushed to her and grasped her face and she stumbled backwards and her eyes held no recognition and it killed Bucky inside.

"Are you a ghost?" Strange asked her and she nodded.

"Yes, the totem keeps me alive until I select a new barer. The destined one hasn't been born yet so I can't move on…my human body is beyond repair not even Gideon can fix me, Chronos broke my windpipe and the totem kept me alive until I fixed his mind." She said with a tone that showed she had made peace with her destiny.

"But I don't know who are you people." Helena said calmly and intrigued.

"You don't know me?" Bucky asked hurt and Helena shook her head no.

"Am I supposed to know?" Helena asked them confused.

"Yes!" Bucky exclaimed with tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry that I don't…but you aren't part of my team yet I saw you in bridge of the Waverider, you were watching me…If I know you how did we meet?" Helena asked confused and disorientated.

"We meet at a park." Bucky said hopeful to jolt something.

"I don't recall I'm sorry." She said sadly and then walked away from them.

"I think I need to leave. It's time for me to go back to my body and find the new barer." She said as she walked over to her dead body but Bucky stopped her the second before she touched her body;

"Please, will you remember me?" Bucky asked her and she looked at him confused.

"Remember what?" Helena asked confused and looked at Bucky and Strange.

"Remember this face because I have a feeling we will meet again." Bucky told her with tears in his eyes as Helena studied his face and still held no recognition, no love in her eyes.

"I don't make promises, but I'll try. Goodbye." Helena said with a courtesy nod and then touched her body's head and disappeared from Bucky's and Strange's view. They saw Helena gasp back to life and Ray and Sara rushed to her as she had jolted awake.

"Somebody else is on the ship! I saw them! Two males!" She choked out terrified at Sara and Ray who looked at her confused and tried to calm her down.

"It's fine, it was your imagination. Gideon, run a diagnosis." Sara told her reassuringly and rubbed her back as she sobbed holding her neck.

"I died…" She sobbed terrified and clawed Sara's shoulders as they tried to lay her down. The Gideon gave her sedative to calm her.

They were taken to another memory of Helena and Mick sitting in a chapel.

"This is so awkward, eh?" Helena told him amused as she bumped his shoulder and he grunted and nodded.

Then they stood up as they watched the bride walking down the aisle and she smiled at the bride who looked at her because she let an audible gasp to be heard.

"Didn't I arrest you?" The third person in their row asked Mick who looked at the man and he nodded.

"Yes, you did, but I escaped and reformed. I don't kill people anymore." Mick said to the man and extended his hand for handshake.

"Oh…um…good to know I guess." He said caught off guard.

"And who are you?" The man asked Helena confused.

"Helena Bozi, Captain Singh, I'm a time traveler so no you don't know me but I've heard the best from Barry Allen and our common friend the Flash." She said smiling kindly as she extended her hand for a handshake.

"I saw you during the Dorminators, thanks for saving us." Captain Singh said to her and she smiled.

"Ah! I remember you and your husband! You're welcome! It was my first alien invasion! It was cool!" Helena said smiling at him and Captain Singh let a chuckle out and smiled at her.

"Alien invasion?!" Bucky exclaimed in shock and then Strange looked at him.

"We saw it during the montage thing, Barnes." Strange reminded him.

Bucky shook his head but nodded too overwhelmed to say anything.

Just as the marrying couple were ready to be pronounced husband and wife the priest was incinerated and everyone jumped up and turn to watch a bunch of men dressed in a leather suits.

"Is that fucking Nazis?" Helena exclaimed shocked and Mick raised his gun and fighting ensued.

"WHAT?!" Bucky and Strange exclaimed shocked, confused and in disbelief but they weren't shown much to Bucky's displeasure.

They were taken to a different scene where Helena was drinking wine with Zia.

"Dude, the most extreme thing I did was to try to juggle a baby strapped on me and doing dishes while there's a pizza in the oven!" Zia said laughing.

"Bitch you are lying! You led a riot! Fuck that pizza!" Helena said laughing.

"Oh yeah forgot about it…I'm fifty years old and you haven't aged more than 34!" Zia exclaimed defensively while she was laughing.

"Welcome to the perks of time travel!" Helena exclaimed laughing.

They were taken again to a different scene were Helena and Zari were sitting and meditating or trying to meditate.

"So, two years ago I died…"

"Holy shit! Are you okay?" Zari asked shocked and Helena looked at her with a "bitch really?" look and Zari shut up.

"And I saw these two dude and I want to figure out who they were and why were they on the ship…I mean they weren't on the same astral plane as us but they were." Helena said to Zari who nodded.

"And you think he was a previous totem barer?" Zari asked Helena and nodded.

"Or a future totem barer. He was crying while the other guy looked like he was just there…I mean I didn't pick up any emotional turmoil but from the other guy woah! I had to raise my mental barriers and not channel his emotions because they were too much but it was too late when I returned I could feel him and still can but I can't see him. I can feel he feels confused and betrayed for some reason. I just want to severe the connection because it's draining or resolve it or help him resolve it." Helena explained with a tired and serious tone.

"NO!" Bucky roared he didn't want her to severe that connection. It was the only thing he had that kept him connected to her.

"She can't break the connection, Barnes, relax. But she can push us out of her head." Strange tried to calm Bucky who looked desperate to keep some connection to his wife and figure out why she wasn't waking up.

They were taken to a different scene of Helena with her stuff packed she was hugging her team goodbye.

"Are you sure about this?" Sara and Zari with Charlie asked her and she nodded.

"Whoever he is, he needs someone's help and for some reason the whole emotional tether is getting stronger with the years and honestly I'm tired feeling his feelings and mine." Helena explained as she hugged them.

"Be careful!" Ava told her in a motherly tone and she laughed as she nodded.

"We are a call away okay? Just because Nora and I are retired doesn't mean we won't come in a heartbeat!" Ray told her as he hugged her and then another woman hugged Helena too which Bucky and Strange understood to be Nora.

"Thank you guys!"

"Cisco has gave us the same device if we suspect that you are in trouble press it once and Mick and I will be there." Snart told her as he hugged her.

"I'm so glad you found someone, Leo even though you aren't Snart, you helped this team." She told him as he smiled and hugged her tighter.

"What does she mean he's not Snart? He looks just like him!" Bucky exclaimed hopelessly confused Strange just shrugged also confused.

"Hey!" She told Mick who he just hugged her tighter.

"I'm going BBQ his ass if he hurts you in any way! I view you as my daughter, Helena!" Mick told her seriously and Helena smiled as tears picked up in her eyes.

"I'm honored!" Helena said as she hugged him one more time.

"So, that means I'm the fun uncle?" Leo said from next to Mick and everyone chuckled and Helena nodded as she wiped her tears.

"And I view you as my older sister!" A red head girl said next to Mick and Helena hugged her.

"I wish we had more time together, Lita!" Helena said as she hugged the red headed girl.

"Don't worry I have a Cisco device too I'll be visiting! Also, I keep an eye out on Stella and Zia and little Maria, I'll be giving you updates!" Lita told her and Helena sobbed happily as she squeezed the younger girl.

"Thank you!" She said before letting go of Lita before she hugged Nate too.

She sighed as she grabbed her stuff and pressed a small pin on her clothes and a portal opened and she walked through it.

Bucky and Strange saw an empty apartment and confused Helena looked around her confused when Zari, Ava and Sara followed her through.

"Well, we couldn't exactly leave you without making sure you had somewhere to stay." Zari said smiling as she showed her the house.

"Thank you, girls! How can you afford this?" Helena asked confused.

"The Time Bureau can afford it but we didn't exactly found it ourselves. I have an agent who was send to this Earth on a different mission and she volunteer to do some apartment shopping." Ava said smiling and Helena hugged her tight.

"And who's the agent? I need to thank them!" Helena asked intrigued as she took her phone out and was searching through her contacts.

"You don't have my number yet, auntie." A voice said behind them as a woman that Bucky and Strange knew as SHIELD Agent Maria Hill walked inside and Helena gasped.

"You are just six years old for me! How?" Helena gasped as she rushed to hug her niece.

"Well, I joined the family business, of course! And I asked specifically from Director Sharpe to not tell you I joined." Maria told Helena who stared at her with surprise in her eyes and tears in her eyes.

"So, you know who I'm emotionally tethered to and why?" Helena asked her niece who nodded.

"His name is James Barnes, he's a super soldier like Uncle Slade, by the way he trained me. And the emotional tether happened during your death after Mick Rory killed you, they were already into your mind but I don't know from when because if my theory is correct they are listening as we speak. Something happens in your future that allows them access to your mind. I don't know why the ancestors would allow such connection especially since the totem must be protected at all costs." Maria said troubled as she handed Helena the file with everything on Bucky.

"Could it be that he's related to a totem barer? I mean I was connected with Amaya since I was kid and we were half a century apart." Zari asked confused.

"It could be. That is why I run a test on his and I found one potential theory, he's related to the next Earth totem barer. I warn you be careful with him, he's erratic and paranoid all validated but still never hurt anyone to be cautious. And since his descended might be the next that means that you might have to strike a friendship with him. I'm not forcing you just giving you the facts, it will be easier if you can train the next one like great grandpa did with you and mum." Maria explained in deep thoughts and Helena listened to every word and nodded.

"Okay, but I won't actively search him, it would be dishonest of me to strike a friendship with him. I let fate do her thing. So, furniture shopping?" Helena said deep in thought but tried to not focus on it so much and tried to change the topic of conversations as she handed the file back to Maria.

Bucky and Strange were shocked for the billionth time.

They watched as Helena was busy trying adjust to life as she researched this dimension from the safety of her apartment and laptop only going out to grab groceries. And then she sighed tiredly when she realized that everything looked so different from anything she knew.

She started purchasing history books one after the other and she was studying them in various parks in New York or coffee shops.

It was one day that Helena woke up with a pain on her knee and decided to go for a light walking thinking that maybe the years of fighting were getting to her.

She was walking minding her own business and listening to her music on her headphones when she noticed her untied shoe and bend down to tie it and behind her pass Steve with Sam and Bucky joking as they usually did.

Helena winced as she grasped her chest and turned to look at Bucky's back. Her eyes widened and quickly pulled her hoodie up and started walking the opposite direction than Bucky and his friends.

Bucky watched a little hurt at the scene but he recalled the faint need to look to his left and he had seeing a girl with a purple hoodie walking away. Damn him! He could have talked to her!

They were taken to a different scene were Bucky and her met for the first time for him and Bucky smiled at the scene sadly realize what he was aware…he wanted to go back to not knowing because now it didn't feel as magical.

And at last they were taken to last night;

Helena was doing the dishes when a portal opened and Mick walked inside their house and smiled sadly at her.

"Hey." She said as she hugged him.

"So, you married the guy huh?" Mick asked a little displeased.

"He's nice and I love him, Mick, we are a lot alike…it's 2023 and when I was in my own 2023 I was barely surviving a missile strike. I haven't told him yet about anything. I planning today to tell him. I think I owe it to him because he started reflecting back to his family in 1940s and I think it would do him good if he realizes that he can have a sort of family through me and you guys…I just wish that Oliver was alive to meet him, I think he's wisdom of the five years in Lian Yu would have helped him. Maybe Slade can talk to him too." Helena rambled deep in thoughts and anxious.

Bucky watched shocked. She was planning to come out to him!?

"What if he doesn't accept you or us?" Mick asked and Helena sighed.

"Then I'm going to tell him about the totem and give it to him to give it to the next one and every book I have about training and use and I would come home and retire somewhere maybe back in my own Earth or Central City and maybe help Barry and his team from time to time." Helena said saddened and defeated.

"You can trust him with the totem even if he doesn't accept you?" Mick challenged her worried.

"I will try to explain it if he doesn't want any part of it I will have to keep a watch over his descendents and when it's time I would come back and train them like my grandpa trained me." Helena said discouraged.

"I hope he accepts you Helena because you have been fighting since you were 17 and you are 38 years old now, you've been fighting for twenty years you need to retire and go back home or make a home for you here." Mick told her in a fatherly tone and she nodded.

The scene changed to a shadowy figure walking inside their kitchen and pouring a vile inside the boiling food as Helena was heard talking to someone in the living room. The man opened a portal and disappeared once more.

Bucky looked horrified at Strange who mirrored his look but said nothing.

The scene changed to Helena setting the table and her and Bucky eating as she looked distracted as she studied her plate.

"Bucky does the food taste odd to you?" Helena asked past version of Bucky who shook his head no.

"Weird…" Helena said concerned and studied the carrot in the light of their ceiling light.

Nothing out of the ordinary was shown. She kept eating confused.

The next scene they watched as Helena sliced her arm open with a knife and poured some in a cup and then smelled it and her eyes widen in horror as she healed herself.

"Cyanide…" She whispered to herself horrified.

"Malcolm!" She growled as she took her phone out and called Maria.

"Maria, Malcolm poisoned my food for some odd reason, I thought he was on our side!" Helena whispered angrily on the phone.

"Okay. I know…I'll check on Bucky." Helena said as she hang up and walked out of the bathroom only to be jumped by another shadowy figure and put a needle in her neck and then gently placed her on the bed and put the blanket over her to make it look like she was asleep.

Bucky slapped his forehead.

"I thought she was asleep! I didn't know! Oh god! Who was he?" Bucky exclaimed horrified before Strange he could answer they were kicked out of her mind.

Bucky and Strange gasped back to reality where they saw Maria looking at Helena and then put a needle in her IV and smiled at Bucky.

"I guess now you know huh?" Maria asked him holding back a wince but Bucky could detect it.

Why did she wince?

"You gave her an antidote?" Strange asked Maria who nodded while Sam and the other Avengers had been left staring confused at the exchange.

"What did you guys see?" Tony asked concerned.

"Her whole life." Bucky answered back angrily he was angry at Helena for not telling him anything of her life yet claim they were so much alike!

"And her being poisoned by a dark figure." Strange add with a sympathetic tone and look at Bucky. The avengers were still lost.

"That figure was an assassin from the League of Assassins, Malcolm Merlyn also known as the Dark Archer and the current Ra's Al Ghul, leader of the league." Maria explained with a serious tone and her eyes look actual fear.

"Has Helena ever fought him?" Bucky asked her serious and Maria nodded.

"Yes, when he was part of the Legion of Doom, he might be from that timeline trying to kill her and change what is." Maria explained with a sad tone and Bucky clenched his jaw and nodded.

"We find him then and kill him!" Tony said with a shrug not getting what was the big deal.

"You can't do that, Helena has to do it, your jurisdiction doesn't apply here." Maria told Tony with a cruel tone.

"Why is that?" Tony challenged her.

"Because it's the Time Bureau's jurisdiction, isn't it Maria?" Bucky said with a clenched jaw and angry and betrayed tone.

"Time what?" Tony exclaimed confused.

"Not another word, Maria." Helena's weak voice made them all turn to her shocked as she sat up and avoided Bucky's eyes.

Bucky studied her with a clenched jaw and betrayed look.

It was a day later when Helena was back at their apartment and Bucky wasn't there, she grabbed her stuff and left a letter and folder on the kitchen table, they were divorce papers and a letter apologizing for her behavior and letting him know she will keep an eye out for his descends because of the Earth totem.

She opened a portal and was back in her apartment in Central City she had couple months go there because she used is as her space when she wanted to relax without fearing Bucky might see something out of the ordinary and as a meeting point with Zia on their monthly get to get together but she hadn't reach out because she plagued with trying to find the right way to tell Bucky the truth.

She never found it. She started cleaning and organizing the place not allowing herself to cry. She deserved it.

She spent the first couple of weeks catching up with friends and family and rearranging the apartment and getting a job as a journalist and photographer working under Iris when she started to notice small things like her knees were in pain, her chest and back too, she was nauseous all the time and her period was late 10 weeks already!

She was sure he would think so badly of her for not only lying to him about who and what she was and where she was from. And now she was keeping his child away from him or was baby trapping him. She also knew that this pregnancy due to her age this pregnancy was high risk.

She decided to hide until she gives birth having a feeling that it was important to remain calm. She enjoyed her pregnancy as much as she could but with a huge weight of guilt when she decided to write a letter to Bucky in case she dies during childbirth. She knew she could really really die because she was the protector of the Earth totem and she can't die if the totem isn't safely transferred to the next barer. She would be living on borrowed time she didn't want to cause her child to have abandonment issues because would be probably dying or not wake up every die because the new totem barer has risen. Her child deserved to have stable home and that would be with Bucky, his father.

In her letter she apologized profusely about her treatment and then told him that she would be alive but on borrowed time and that wasn't a nice thing for a child and if he felt inadequate or his mental health wasn't stable enough to raise a child she wrote her sister's address and put a portal inhibitor to open said portal to her sister's dimension.

Her sister had agreed to be the child's adoptive mother and their dimension was safer now more than ever in comparison to any dimension.

In the letter she wrote that she wished that her child met the other side of the family too that is why she was also adding the portal inhibitor.

Nine months later Lati and Mick along with Stella, Panos, Pavlos and little Maria and Team Flash were all waiting in the waiting area for the happy news.

Bucky froze as he looked at the baby inside the baby carrier on his kitchen table. He's been looking for a year for Helena! A year!

"Helena always wanted her first son to be named John after her first boyfriend that died in her arms protecting her…so John…Steven…Barnes? How does it sound?" Bucky whispered keeping his tone of despair.

"It sounds so white…" Sam chuckled and Bucky chuckled lowly and Steve shook his head with a smile.

"So, Steven after me?" Steve asked with a small smile and Bucky nodded.

Sam looked at the child and smiled.

Tony and Pepper were in his house an hour later all excited to meet the youngest Barnes and by now little John was screaming his little lungs out as Bucky tried to calm him as Sam instructed him after seeing his sister, Sarah, raise two kids of her own.

"I can't do this!" Bucky exclaimed terrified as he handed the baby back to Sam and the moment the boy was in Sam's arms it stopped crying.

"I think he loves his uncle Sam more, huh?" Sam cooed at the baby who then spitted on him and then let a doozy fart and he calmed down. Then an awful smell of poop made both gag.

Tony and Pepper laughed seeing them like that and instantly Pepper swooned in and took little John and told Bucky to follow her as she took the guest room and set a protective layer of a plastic thing on the drawers and started emptying the diaper bag John came with.

Bucky spent an hour of intensive baby training by Pepper and by nightfall he knew the basics but still was terrified and Pepper told him she was a call or video call away for anything any time. She gave her deepest condolences for Helena too.

Tony also left him a bunch of books on parenting and raising a toddler.

Steve and Sam remained with him at night as they changed shifts feeding and calming the baby.

Throughout trials and tabulation Bucky found his footing in 7 months time and from there was smooth sailing until teething started, then walking then running then talking! And before Bucky care to admit he was letting his son on his first day of daycare, then kindergarten and then primary school and middle school. He still loved her with all his heart and his heart was broken by her treatment he never tried to date anyone else he devoted himself to raising John who had his eyes but his behavior was just like Helena even him mannerisms at times were eerily like hers.

"John and Helena need to do this by themselves, it needs to be a calm environment with no negative energy. Also, since his totem powers are manifesting be prepared for his Metahuman ones to surface too, I can train him with those though." Maria said seriously as she held Bucky's shoulders stopping his from reaching his jacket.

"I need to speak with her!"

"Not the time! Once his training starts you can make time to talk, don't worry it will be like going for martial arts class after school or during the weekends, you won't lose him." Maria assured him and he sighed.

"John, ready?" Maria asked her cousin who nodded.

"I can feel all the elements and the totem, is that normal?" John asked unsure and Maria smiled encouragingly and nodded.

"I'm nervous about meeting mum…" John whispered and Maria hugged him tight before she pressed the portal inhibitor and they jumped.

Maria smiled at her aunt as they appeared and Helena was waiting for then she felt the burning of the totem the morning she woke up and in her dreams the ancestors told her the name of the next totem barer, her son!

Now she knew she had what a possible timeline for her lifespan, ten to twenty years. She felt terrified and excited to meet her son!

She was buzzing with excitement and terrified that this was her life sentence now, she kinda deserved it if she was being honest.

Maria and John arrived just as she finished force-drinking her coffee and jumped up to see a kid with curly dark brown hair and blue eyes as she stood and watched her, her own dark brown hair with very minimum curls in the tip ends and her green eyes studied his as tears picked up. John run to her and hugged her tight as both started to cry.

They spent the day getting to know one another and catching up with a slightly making a small entrance in the totem baring responsibilities and how they training will go from there. It was night when John appeared back home and Bucky was ragged with anxiety and wanted to know what was going on and how it went.

John told him everything and then Bucky felt the walls closing in, now he had a timetable that he had to talk to Helena before she really die, resolve this!

"How was she?" Bucky asked his son feigning curiosity and his son smirked knowing exactly what he was asking.

"Well, dad, mum is sad. Her eyes are sad but she's pushing through. She feels guilty for everything and I think you two should talk instead of trying to pry details out of me." John said to his dad with a smirk.

"So she asked about me?"

"Yes, she asked about your health and how is life, told her it was fine." John said as he prepared a sandwich for himself as Bucky sat on the couch with the TV on.

The guest room was now John's room.

"So, the training program would every weekend to spent it at mum's so we can train, is that alright with you?" John asked his dad and Bucky felt like a bucket for cold water was dropped on him.

"I need time to adjust…how are you feeling about this all, buddy?" Bucky asked his son who shrug.

"Not sure yet. Need time to think but I'm too tired, I'm going to bed now. Night!" John said shrugging with uncertainty and tiredness evident in his posture and tone.

Bucky watched him go and rubbed his face tiredly.

Unfortunately, his missions with SHIELD kept him a whole year busy so he didn't have time to schedule a visit to Helena's dimension and because of said missions John had the opportunity to spend more days and hours with Helena in her dimension training and getting to meet all of Helena's friends.

It was a late night when Bucky tip toed in John's room grabbed his portal inhibitor and the one given to him when John was left to him and had Stella's dimensional address in. Tony had offered to run some tests to find the Helena's dimensional address and copy it to his inhibitor from John's. Tony was studying those odd devices for years!

He gave them and in a few short days his inhibitor had the address. He travelled to it while John was at school on Monday after he took a day off from SHIELD.

He entered the portal and go out of it to see an apartment loft. It was modernly decorated and he liked how cozy it seemed. He studied the picture frames around the house of Helena and her friends many familiar faces from the memories he'd seen and other unknown to him.

He touched the coffee pot and it was warm a sign it was used recently but the house was empty which meant she was off to work.

He looked outside the building to the city that looked like a metropolitan city like New York but calmer.

He decided to explore the city and try to find where she worked when his eyes fell to a note in post-it note.

He found her desktop computer and saw it was on standby mode and opened and typed Iron Heights and he saw it was maximum security prison from the most dangerous and deadly humans and Metahumans criminals. Worry filled his chest.

Then he typed Helena's name and found out that in this city called Central City she was a reported for the Central City Citizen so she was a reporter.

Then he heard keys and instantly hid out of instinct.

"Yes, I interviewed him, he's lucky that there were camera or else I would have punched him until his human skull cracked, Cecile!" Helena's voice said as Bucky peered and saw her, she looked beautiful and as if she barely aged!

Suddenly there was an alarm.

"Cecile, there's a Meta in the center, I have to go!" Helena said quickly as she used a portal inhibitor and Bucky rushed to jump in before it closed if she was going to fight a Meta he needed to protect her, she needed to stay alive to train their son!

He was thrusted into a lab where Helena rushed to huge computer monitor.

"Barry! Are you on scene?" Helena asked as she put her headset on.

"I am! What's the heat signature say?" Barry's voice rang through the room.

Bucky was shocked, she was helping a vigilante! She was putting herself in danger!

"Seventeen human and eight Metahuman signatures but one is emitting huge energy levels and according to cameras he has a gun…like Mick's! Should I call ARGUS?" Helena asked worried but got a negative answer by Barry.

"BARRY!" She exclaimed after awhile when electricity jumped everywhere in the room and Helena took cover then suddenly Bucky saw electricity bolts forming a body and that body grabbed Helena by the throat and threw her across the room.

"You're under arrest buddy!' The masked man said to him as cops entered the labs and then he looked at Bucky confused.

"Who are you?" The masked man asked him protectively and confused.

"I'm James, Helena's husband, who are you?" Bucky said with the same tone as Barry.

"You mean ex husband. I'm Barry." The masked man said as he took off his mask and Bucky nodded as he shook hands with Barry.

"Caitlyn is coming to check on her, help me put her to Medbay." Barry told him as he bend to pick her up but Bucky got to it first and Barry smirked behind him as he speeded away to change scaring Bucky who turned a second later and saw him wear different clothes.

"I'm The Flash, speed is my thing." Barry said with a shrug as two other people rushed to them.

"Who the hell is the robo-man!? What is he doing in my lab? Get out!" Cisco quickly rushed to Helena's side and pushed Bucky away from Helena with a sassy tone.

"Relax, Cisco, that's James, Helena's ex husband. He saved her from Electro." Barry said to the Latino guy who glared at Bucky but then recognition went over his features and broke a huge kind smile and extended his hand for a handshake.

"Sorry about my freak out…I was one of the hostages…I'm Cisco! Heard lot about you! I have so many questions…but first…how hard is raising John? I met him and I can't keep up with him! And I'm a genius! You did a great job raising him!" Cisco rambled as he rushed around connecting Helena to different machinery.

Bucky was lost trying to keep up with him too ironically.

"Um…thanks? And I don't know?" Bucky asked confused with a chuckle. Cisco reminded him of a combination of Sam and Steve.

"Is she going to be alright?" Bucky asked worried.

"Of course! She's a Metahuman and she's a totem barer, the totem will regenerate her…in our case bring her back from the dead…yeah…she's dead." Cisco rambled quickly as he finished setting up.

"WAIT WHAT?" Bucky roared in horror and Cisco jumped and turned to him with an anxious smile.

"Electro threw her against the wall and severed her spine and the drop smashed her skull, she was dead on the first impact." Barry said calmly as he grasped Bucky's shoulder to keep him from attacking Cisco.

"She's going to be fine Mister Barnes." Caitlyn said from her side as she tapped on a tablet.

Helena gasped back to life and started coughing.

"I hate this!" She coughed out as Cisco gave her a water bottle and then opened a huge ass light.

"Thanks, Cisco." She said smiling at him and they high fived.

"Helena your vitals seem fine, you need to remain here for a few hours absorbing this light and you'd be healthy as a horse." Caitlyn said smiling at her and Helena nodded.

"Did we catch him?" Helena asked Barry but her eyes froze on Bucky.

"Yes, he's in Iron Heights awaiting trial." Barry said to her and then motioned Cisco and Caitlyn to leave them be.

"What are you doing here? How are you even here? Did you steal John's portal inhibitor?" She bombarded him with questions with an accusatory tone.

"What am I doing here? What are you doing here, Helena? Why put yourself in danger like this?! Why you left me?!" Bucky exclaimed angrily and with tears in his eyes.

"You know why, James." Helena said in a strained tone and the use of James instead of Bucky was like a slap on his face.

"Ah yes! I deserve better blah blah blah! You don't know what I deserve only I know! And you should have stayed behind to talk about this not get up and leave and disappear only to drop John on my lap a year later!" Bucky yelled at her as he got up on her face and Helena pushed him out of her personal space and Bucky looked confused.

"The lights are UV rays, will burn you." She explained quietly and Bucky nodded keeping his distance but kept his angry face.

"Why did you do this? I was willing to move past this and keep us going." Bucky asked her quietly.

"You weren't, don't forget I could feel what you were feeling, you hated me."

"No, I never hated you!"

"You did and still do I can see it in your eyes."

"You're projecting!"

"Projecting?! Did you graduate Psychology school those thirteen years?" Helena chuckled cruelly.

"No but I did go to a therapist for everything! For our son! We could have raised him together if you hadn't run!"

"I didn't run! I released you from a toxic relationship, I'm toxic James! You are better without me!"

"Bullshit! You run and you didn't release me, I never signed the papers!" Bucky yelled at her.

Helena looked at him shocked.

"Sign them, James, it's for your own good…besides ever since the new totem barer has been chosen whatever connection I felt to you, meaning the connection that allowed me to feel what you feel, was severed and it gave me clarity to realize this whole thing was always one sided…I allowed your emotions to overthrow mine and confused them as my own…" Helena said with an icy tone and glare. She regretted the words the moment they left her face and seeing his facial expression tore her heart. It was a lie, all of it! She loved him but she was toxic.

Hurt people hurt people it's better that way. Besides she had an expiration date.

"You don't mean that!" Bucky exclaimed angrily and in denial as tears leaked down his eyes. He looked at her with such a shock and hurt.

He thought what HYDRA did to him was painful and cruel but what Helena was doing now was killing him!

"I do, James, I told you in the letter." Helena said with an emotionless tone. Bucky couldn't stand to look at her he stood up and left.

Helena waited for him to not be in earshot range and let a few tears down. Caitlyn and Cisco with Barry walked over to her and rubbed her shoulders.

"Why did you do that? Don't you see he loves you?" Barry asked her saddened.

"I don't deserve him and I'm dying why the hell would I put him through that?" Helena sobbed as Caitlyn shut the light and everyone hugged her.

Bucky walked out of the building and he fell to his knees as he started to sob and put his hands on his mouth to muffle the sobs.

How could he let himself be played like that?

His memory flashed back to the beginning of everything;

Flashback:

Helena was sitting in the bench in the same park they met reading the same book as he sat next her.

"I have the money from the bet I won thanks to you, want to go for breakfast? I'm Bucky by the way." Bucky said smiling flirtatiously and Helena smiled and nodded.

"I'm Helena and I never say no to free food! Nice to meet you Bucky!" Helena said as she smiled widely and they stood up and walked away.

Flashback end:

Bucky punched the concrete with his metal arm out of anger and the cement cracked under his punch just like his heart. He spent 13 years gluing it together and she, she blew it to smithereens in short few words!

He hates her!

He didn't hate her then but now he does!

But still loves her for some cruel twisted way! Why him? Is it a payback or karmic force for every pain he inflicted as the Winter Soldier?

It must be there's no other explanation why.

He was about to keep crying when he felt the vibrations like an earthquake and suddenly Helena is by his side dressed in a sleeveless black coat with green and golden details surrounding the coat's arms and bottom. Paired with black tights and military grade army boots and she had in her thighs strapped knives and in her back a sword and guns.

"CLOSE YOUR EYES AND KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN!" Helena yelled over the thudding noise as she forced Bucky's head down.

"WHY?" He yells as he tries to fight her but she's stronger than him for some reason.

"Psych, our current nemesis, he has the ability to bring your nightmares to life and trap you in your own head and you die from fear, you can't afford that!" Helena whispered in his ear and he instinctively grasped her waist as they started run back inside.

"Fuerza and Psych are hitting us again! James stay in here and keep Iris and Caitlyn safe!" Helena ordered him and looked at him.

"No! You just died! You have to stay here!" Bucky exclaimed as he grasped her hand.

"I can't, I need to help my team. Besides Fuerza and Psych don't know you exist, they don't need to know that." Helena explained as she squeezed his hand and then let it go as she rushed to catch up with Barry.

"Don't let her push you away." Caitlyn told him with a kind smile.

"It's too late for that. How can I help?" Bucky said defeated and then tried to change the topic.

Caitlyn told him keep an eye on the vitals of Barry and Helena when Allegra came in with Chester.

"Who are you?" Allegra asked angrily and suspiciously.

"He's James, Helena's ex husband, he's visiting. Allegra suit up since Frost is in custody they need backup!" Caitlyn ordered and Allegra nodded as she put her belt on and opened a portal to where the fight was happening.

"Chester monitor Barry's and Helena's and Allegra's vitals, James help me prepare the medbay just in case. Iris keep tabs on them okay?" Caitlyn said and everyone nodded.

Bucky was dragged to the med bay.

"I got you hear because I see it in your face you worry and in order to control your worry you need to keep your mind busy." Caitlyn explained to him and he nodded as he threw some used towels in the washer.

"Why is she pushing me away? Does she love me? Is she dating anyone?" Bucky asked confused.

"She's pushing you because she lives on borrow time she doesn't want you to go through grief, god knows all of us in here have lost so many people the past couple of years, Helena more than some. She tries to raise walls around her heart. When she lost her son for months she wouldn't come out of her house, I and many of our friends tried to help her by going to her house and eating with her or cleaning her apartment. I know she feels guilty for what she did to you but don't believe that whatever you had was one sided. She hasn't dated anyone until a month ago, she went out on a date with guy and it goes well but I don't think it will go anywhere." Caitlyn said as she kept her hands busy.

Bucky remained silent as they finished letting his mind process everything.

They came up defeated but with no major injuries so Bucky felt that he didn't need to be there anymore he had taken his answers. Helena was a liar and never honest with anyone.

Yet he realized something he was jealous at the thought of Helena dating someone else. He needed to discuss what they are going to do with John so he waited for her at her home. She came in and sighed seeing him.

"What now?" She asked tiredly.

"We need to discuss how we are going to move forward with John, which days is he going to train with you. He needs to see a united front." Bucky said serious and Helena nodded agreeing.

"My idea was every weekend to come to me Friday night or Friday after school depends on your schedule and bring him Monday morning dressed and ready for school. Now, he told me you work for SHIELD, well done by the way, in case of any mission if he's left alone in the house for a day or two he can come to me and you can come and pick him up once you are back." She suggested with a serious nod.

"Reasonable, I agree." He said after a pause of consideration.

"Oh! And you sign the divorce papers." Helena reminded him and he smirked.

"No."

"Why?"

"Because it doesn't bother you if I sign or not you're dead in that dimension." He said with a shrug.

"True…glad we had this talk. Good night." She said as she started to get up but Bucky grasped her hand and forced her to sit down again.

"I wasn't done." He said serious and Helena could see the mischief glint.

What now?

"What else is there left to say that wasn't said in STAR Labs?"She asked confused.

"Why you never reveal where you're truly from and what you are?" Bucky asked her genuinely confused.

"First of all, I didn't know how you'd react to me not being human or the existence of some many other things in the multiverse, you were just dealing with what HYDRA put you through, I was trying to spare you more existential crisis. Second of all, I was hyping myself up to tell you so many times but I never felt brave enough and didn't want to add on your trauma, I knew some of my traumas might triggered yours. So I kept it shut then I was poisoned and you went into my head which started that emotional tether thing." Helena explained with a soft tone and guilt slipped in her tone.

"I remember the scene…I mean memory of you telling Mick how alike we were, have you thought that me having someone to relate to would have help?" Bucky asked her hurt and she shook her head no visibly guilty.

"I can't change what happened. I can time travel back but I don't want to, I like my current life, yes I regret what I did to you but it got me where I am now and I'm at peace with it." Helena told him quietly.

"Of course you wouldn't change anything because you like your life, I didn't rip your heart out and stamped on it, Helena!" Bucky spitted hurtful.

"And I'm truly sorry, James! How many times will I have to apologize?"

"Were you always planning to have a relationship with me? To manipulate me into falling in love with you while you pretended?" Bucky asked her hurt as his eyes were a whirlpool of emotions and anger.

"NO!" Helena yelled angrily as she removed her hand from his grasp.

"I tried everything I could to make you go on a date with other women, Bucky! Don't you remember how many times I tried to set you up while you kept approaching me and asking me on breakfasts and coffee dates while you ignored them? You even got up and left one girl the moment she asked about life in the 1940s, which was rude by the way! You took me as your plus one in so many of Tony's parties and during those parties do you remember how I would try to introduce you to all the ladies? I physically dragged you to speak to girls who I thought you might hit it off! But no! You somehow always found me! I would hide in those parties so you wouldn't find me, I even left many of the events and had Pepper to call me when the event was over to pretend I was there only then you managed to talk to other women. Then you pulled that thing on your date with Kristen Holland when I was on a date with this guy Adam Finn, you were glaring Adam and you wouldn't even answer Kristen yet you would always ask me my thoughts and opinions like Kristen wasn't even there! I had to apologize to her for you! I tried to push you away and I got tired and stopped fighting you!" Helena yelled at him tiredly and defensively.

Bucky listened and remembered all those times she would interrupt him and ask him what he thought of this or that girl or tell him excited that she got him a date with the coffee barista down the street and every time he would try to hug her, hold her hand she would squirm away. She stopped doing that after he crashed her date with a guy named Brian Juan by third wheeling as Sam called it and then instead of allowing Brian drive her home he said he would walk her home since they lived close by and then he kissed her.

"Did you do this out of pity?" Bucky asked in a heartbreaking realization.

"Curiosity." Helena corrected him truthfully and Bucky tilted his head confused.

"I was hugely influenced by the emotional tether and dude you are hot, I have eyes! But I really thought that maybe part of those feelings I was fighting could be my own too not just yours and who knew what could have happened and since I did platonically love you and cared for you. I wasn't expecting us to go so far as marriage…I never really thought myself married to anyone…but it was nice, it was like rooming with my best friend. But I knew I could never tell you what I have gone through I saw how you got tensed when people asked you about your life before HYDRA or during your captivity. You saw how traumatizing it was for me. I always said to myself, once he's stable enough I'd open the conversation but the time never came thanks to Malcolm Merlyn…by the way he apologized for what he did. He had no idea I was pregnant and the totem put me to sleep while it tried to burn the poison and protect the fetus." Helena explained softly and Bucky studied her.

"You viewed me as your best friend?" Bucky asked her surprised and she nodded.

"But you never fell in love with me." Bucky realized and his hurt broke.

"There was an infatuation yes but no love." Helena lied and her heart clenched and her feet sweat coldly.

Bucky noticed how she avoided his eyes at that answer and hope sparked in his chest.

He stood up and tricked Helena into thinking he was leaving but taking the portal inhibitor out and stood before her as she stood up and cleared her throat as Bucky faked fixing his pants and shirt before he grasped her face with lighting movements and kissed her passionately. Helena was caught off guard but she instinctively kissed him back and just held his hands that held her face.

He stopped kissing her and smirked;

"Yeah, it was the emotional tether, sure, stop lying Helena. I don't want us to end, I love you and I know you love me too I felt it in that kiss. We can spent your remaining time on this planet together as husband and wife or as friends but I'm not leaving you because I love you and you are the mother of our child. Your choice what it would be. I want us to be together as husband and wife but I can be okay with us being friends." Bucky told her as he held her head and stare into her eyes. Helena was tearing and Bucky then hugged her.

"I let you think about this though. Also, I'm curious to explore this weird place you call home, so John and I will rent a hotel and explore." Bucky told her as he held her and she nodded in his arms and then their embrace broke and he did leave to go pack.

He felt positive about this, he spoke his truth and was open to try again with her if she shut him down it would hurt but he knew that it would be what really Helena wanted. He liked that he knew that there was a time that Helena loved him or at least had a crush on him, at least it wasn't one sided as she claimed in STAR Labs.

Helena was tired. Physically and emotionally drained. She decided to have a shower and decided to give up, she was punishing herself for no reason, Bucky had accepted what he did to him and hated her for thirteen years she saw it in his mind when they held hands.

Flashback To Bucky's Memory seen by Helena:

Bucky was punching a punching bag while Steve held it and was cursing her name.

"Why would she leave like that?!" Bucky asked Steve angrily.

"I don't know Buck, maybe she needed some time." Steve said saddened.

"What would you do if she comes back? Will you forgive her?" Steve asked him.

"No, she hurt me deeper than anything…why you never warned me not to love like that? Was I ever like that back then?" Bucky rambled angrily and with every word he punched.

"No, you were more confident and I don't know if you ever had such a serious relationship, don't forget the trauma you have endured back then you and I were kids and careless. I bet you wouldn't have taken it so hard back then…but you would freak out because of all the aliens, time travel etc because you weren't aware of these things." Steve rambled as Bucky kept punching.

Bucky sighed and kept punching as everything he saw in her mind played out in his.

End of Flashback:

Helena got out of the shower feeling like shit because she was a little shit. How the hell did she allowed Bucky to break through her defenses, she didn't deserve to be happy after what she did to Bucky.

It was a day later when her son and Bucky knocked on the door with breakfast. John told them to go in the table while he prepared coffee's and juice and put the breakfast items on plates.

"Did you thought what we talked yesterday?" Bucky asked her not hiding his anxiety.

"Yes."

"And?"

"And I want us to try for as long as I have. I don't deserve it but I want to. You can ask me anything you want about my past." She told him seriously and guilty. Bucky hearing that felt like a weight on his shoulders was dropped off and the knot in his stomach loosened.

"We still need to discuss about your past, I want to know as much as you are willing to tell me. But no secrets from now on, okay?" Bucky said to her serious and Helena nodded.

"We must tell John." Helena said as Bucky was ready to kiss her but she stopped him and Bucky nodded.

"Breakfast ready!" John exclaimed as he brought the plates on a tray and then went back to bring the coffee mugs, coffee pot and his juice.

Helena nodded to Bucky that she would open the can of worms once he sat down.

"Honey, we have to tell you something…" Helena started hesitantly and John smiled smugly.

"You are trying again." John finished for them with a smug smile and folded his hands to his chest.

"Yes, how did you know?" Bucky asked confused.

"I'm not dumb, mum and dad, why would dad want to explore your city when there is no apparent reason to learn the layout if it's not about someone's safety?" John said with a shrug as he started eating his French toast.

"I could have wanted to learn the layout of the city for your safety, John and it is partly the reason why!" Bucky exclaimed defensively and John hummed sarcastically.

"Sure, dad, sure! Anyways, I'm happy you are trying again, it will be less awkward for me too."

"We didn't make it awkward for you!" Helena exclaimed defensively and John shook his head.

"If I had a knife I could have cut through the tension every time either of you would ask me how my visit has been to each other's houses! If mum had a boyfriend or if dad had a girlfriend…I have powers too I can read your minds and read between the lines. Now, let's change the subject before you mentally traumatize me with your sex lives." John said smiling as sweetly as he could but his tone was borderline sarcastic.

Helena and Bucky looked shocked at John and then themselves.

"Yeah, yeah the son you raised! Eat up!" John urged them as he waved them off and his parents burst out laughing at his reaction.

Helena wished them happy exploring and to call her if they get lost as she went off to work.

Bucky had another day off and John was "sick" from school. The day went by with John showing his dad around and exploring places when they stopped by Jitters.

"This is mum's favorite coffee shop! Hey, Chester!" John said as he waved at Chester when they entered.

"Johnny! You are visiting your mum again?" Chester exclaimed as they did their handshake and Bucky watched them smiling.

"Yes, and showing dad around. Are we still on for Joe's Scrabble night?" John asked Chester who nodded excited.

"Yes, it's boys and against girls, Felicity is also coming with Mia and William, visiting. And I think Theo and Roy with Nyssa and Dinah, Laurel, Mick, Lita, Sara, Ava, Zia and Slade are also coming. I don't know if you knew but Laurel is now best buds with Tommy since the Crisis which is still weird if you think about it! It's going to be a very interesting night I reckon!" Chester said as they waiting in line, he's tone was excited and gossipy and John seemed to be intrigued by the news. Bucky recognized some names but didn't understand what Chester meant by Crisis and made a mental note to ask Helena about it.

"So many people for Scrabble night?" John asked confused and Chester shrugged.

"Maybe it's someone's birthday?" John asked Chester who shrug again.

"It is." Another voice said behind Bucky and they turned to see Caitlyn's mum.

"Hey, Auntie Clara! Who's birthday is it?" John asked excited as he run to hug Carla.

"Frost's also she's being released from prison, so we are having a welcome home party under the disguise of regular Scrabble night." Carla explained as she held the young boy in her arms but eyed Bucky confused.

"Oh yeah! Auntie Carla meet my dad! He's visiting. Dad, meet Auntie Carla and Caitlyn's and Frost's mum. Used to be best friends with grandma Stella before they immigrated to Earth 7." John explained to his dad excited and Bucky nodded and accepted the handshake.

"Then I guess you enjoy your adventure then, see you at 6 at Joe's house then." Carla said smiling and her name was called by the Barista and walked over to grab her order.

"What was Frost arrested for and what sort of name is Frost?" Bucky asked his son once they got their coffees/hot chocolate and kept walking around the city.

"Mum said she was paying for the past mistakes, Frost and Caitlyn used to be the same person and Frost would come forth to protect Caitlyn any time their father would experiment on her while he was trying to find a cure for his ALS. Then Frost started attacking people who harmed Caitlyn, ex boyfriends and various enemies of The Flash even Flash himself because she viewed him as a threat in Caitlyn's safety. The police nicknamed her Killer Frost because of what her doubleganger from a different earth did and all the aliens and Nazis she killed when they attacked but that is only that she never actually killed any of the people but she did hurt them and injured them so she felt she needed to pay for that. I don't know much more, sorry. From what I understood Frost like a shield, suffered all the traumas and left Caitlyn with no memories of the pain and horrors until Caitlyn was blasted with dark matter from the particle and watched her husband die and then one of her boyfriends kidnapped her as a way to get back to the Flash. I understand she was hurt multiple times by people and Frost never came forth during those times but after a very bad event that I don't know about something broke in Caitlyn and Frost started coming forward more often until they became aware of each other and agreed on a plan on who and when Frost would be front and when Caitlyn until half a year ago. Caitlyn had terrible headaches, she fainted and when she woke up Frost had her own body. We don't know what happened." John said to his dad as they walked and Bucky's eyes widen at the mention of Caitlyn being experimented on by her own dad.

"Do you liked Frost, did she ever hurt you?" Bucky asked and John started laughing.

"Not exactly, she hurt my hot chocolate…when I first visited STAR Labs she was exercising her snowball creation and was throwing at the wall and I got hit by two of them and knocked my hot chocolate down making a mess then she tried to persuade me that now my hot chocolate was a chocolate slushy since the ice tasted like chocolate and I just used my telekinesis to recreate some of her snowballs and got her which ensued a snowball fight for an hour before she realized that she didn't know who I was. Then she helped me find my way around the STAR Labs and kept me company until mum came from work. She helped me with some of my science projects too. She's so cool pun intended! I can't wait to see her again, I bet I'm the same height as her now!" John rambled with a happy smile as they sat on a bench.

Bucky smiled listening to the story relaxing a bit.

"I hope you and your mum have fun at Joe's whoever his is." Bucky told his son as he ruffled his hair.

"You haven't met him have you? He's Iris dad and he raised Barry after his parents died and he's the Captain of the Central City precinct." John said smiling and Bucky nodded understanding that he has to meet a lot people in order to intergrade into Helena's life for real this time around.

They returned to Helena's house and John suggested they get a head start on lunch and John showed him around Helena's kitchen and they cooked some pasta with sausages in the tomato sauce.

"So, your mum, have been teaching you how to cook too?" Bucky asked surprised as he watched his son stir the sauce and keep an eye on the boiling pasta and sausages.

"Yes, she says that it's equally important as defending yourself and surviving in the wild. Plus she's sure I would leave by myself for a long time so I need to learn to cook for myself. Also, Allegra says that men who cook are 60 percent more attractive, so it's win win situation. When did you learn how to cook, dad?" John rambled with a shrug and Bucky smiled proudly and chuckled at what Allegra had said.

"I lost your grandparents very early in life so I had to also learn to cook for myself although most nights I spent them eating with Steve and his mum but they were nights and days where I had to cook for myself." Bucky said with a small fond smile.

"I'm sorry you lost your parents so young…thank you for raising me, dad." John said sincere and the two of them hugged each other which was the moment Helena walked into the house and saw them and smiled.

"Hey, guys!" Helena said and John run to hug her too while Bucky kept an eye out on the food.

They let Helena change into more homely outfit and then sat with them to eat as John reminded her of the party at Joe's.

"Oh yeah! Cecile couldn't shut up about it she emailed up all about to keep a secret with Frost and act as normal. James you can join if you want." She said with a kind tone and a smile but you can feel the uncomfortable tension and Bucky also felt a sting at her keep calling him James instead of Bucky, she used to call him Bucky from the moment they met but now it's James…

Should he remind her that friends and family call him Bucky and she's family so that rule applies to her too?

"Helena, I don't think it's for me that kind of stuff it's better to stay here." Bucky said to her and she nodded. They chit chatted a bit and then John went for a nap while Helena cleaned up.

"Did you forget it's Bucky?" Bucky asked her as he brought some plates.

"No, I didn't. I just don't think I earn that right yet." Helena said seriously as she looked at him before his phone rang and was called off into a mission.

"Be careful!" Helena stressed him and he nodded before kissing her before opening the portal.

"Oh and James? If anything and I mean anything happens press this." She told him giving him a pin and he looked at it confused.

"Press it for help and my necklace will vibrate and I'll know that is something wrong and I can track you. I might be able to save you or land a hand." She told him and he nodded before kissing her one more time and going through the portal.

The surprise party was great and Helena and John had a great time when she felt the vibration in her necklace and excused herself as she rushed and grabbed her tablet and track Bucky down before she changed into her suit and tied the bandana over her face just in case Steve or Tony were there, she didn't want them to know what she could do.

She wasn't sure if Bucky told them anything.

She told Joe and Barry who kept an eye out on John before, she teleported away. She appeared in front of Bucky who was covered in blood and concrete he was under a wall.

She gasped seeing him and quickly used her powers to lift it and Bucky crawled away as he smiled.

"Is anyone else needing help?" She asked him and he nodded before he saw her kneeling and she let her hand over his wound and her hands glow a soft yellow and he felt warmth and looked shocked at her.

"Steve is in the water." He said and she nodded and turned to the water and she smiled before she closed her eyes and raised her hands only for strong seaweed to rise with Steve wrapped around it and brought Steve where they were.

She run to check his injuries before she healed him.

"I know you can't tell me what is going on but are you okay?" Helena asked them as Steve was staring at her.

"So, you have powers?" Steve asked her confused just then they were shots fired and Helena turned and before she knew what was going on she saw guys in black military gear firing at them as she abruptly raised her hands up and then brought them close to her chest and closed her hands in fists while doing so and Steve and Bucky saw their guns floating in the air as they floated towards them and slammed on their knees before she motioned her head to the side and the guns were thrown into the sea.

"Captain America, I think that is your queue." Helena told him smiling before she nodded and walked away going somewhere to open a portal and return to the party.

"So, you married a superhero of a different dimension?" Steve asked his best friend jokingly as they returned to Stark Tower and Bucky laughed and nodded.

"So, you're trying again?" Steve asked him and he nodded smiling and Steve was happy for him.

"You deserve to be with someone you love, Buck and I'm so glad for both of you!" Steve said as he hugged him and Bucky hugged him back.

"So, when are we going to see Helena again?" Tony asked Bucky the moment as they walked into the common room and Bucky laughed.

"When she's ready, but please don't do anything stupid! I want to let her know that you guys know first before bringing her here." Bucky explained laughing.

And Tony nodded before she patted his shoulder.

"I'm glad you solved everything. Time for both of you to be happy." Tony said to him and he nodded in thanks.

Bucky returned back to Helena's home where John and Helena waited for him as he walk through he was hugged by both.

"Are you okay, dad?" John asked his dad concerned and he nodded hugging his son and looked at Helena who had a tight-lipped smile.

"Glad the mission went okay." Helena said nodding as she hugged him before she let him go and it was awkward moment.

She went to the bathroom to pee when John and Bucky and her phone was on the coffee table as John was rambling on and on about the surprise party when his eyes went to the phone that vibrated and light up.

"Don't forget: 18:00 pm tomorrow; Date with Michael."

Jealousy flared up in him as he tried to push it down and focus on John's voice as he waited for Helena to be back. She came back and checked her phone and didn't show anything bothering her and she re-opened her book and kept reading.

'Really?' Bucky asked himself in disbelief.

"So, are you guys going to sleep to your hotel rooms or stay here?" Helena asked them after a while as she yawned and Bucky couldn't help but say;

"Why expecting someone over?" He said with snapping sarcasm and glared at her and she looked confused at him.

"No, but I want to know if I should make the couch into a bed, it opens to a bed if I pull it. And to advise you to free the hotel room so you won't get charged anymore than you should. And I don't like your tone, James." Helena said confused and defensive and Bucky wanted to slap himself because he didn't thought of that.

"No, no need, we are going to the hotel." Bucky said and John nodded as he tried to swallow a yawn and soon they were gone to their hotel.

The next day Bucky woke up after four hours of restless sleep spending the majority of his sleep dreaming about Helena out with some other guy and him finding them either at the restaurant or at her house having sex and murdering the man and Helena's horrified face calling him a monster and taking his son away from her. And every time he was dressed like the Winter Soldier.

He went out of a run around the hotel block and when he was done he tried to relax by having a shower and preparing an elaborate breakfast by going out and looking around for any bakery or coffee shop establishment.

He couldn't stop thinking about Helena and this Michael guy…weren't they trying again? Why did she had to go out with him then? Maybe she forgot to cancel?

Maybe date was an actual date and Michael was just a friend?

Helena woke up excited today, she was meant to go on a double date with Michael, his boyfriend and his boyfriend's brother at the opening of this new club downtown. It was a casual thing so she thought that she shouldn't cancel with Michael even though she was giving it another try with Bucky besides it's not like she knew the boyfriend's brother!

She worked like any other day at Citizen and then went home to shower, confused and concerned she didn't hear from her son or Bucky she decided to call John and check in. They were at some amusement park having a blast according to John's quick reply on the phone before Helena thought she lost her hearing to John's and others' screams from the ride he was on.

Happy for them she focused on herself and got herself ready by wearing a satin baby blue dress with black sneakers being warned by Michael to wear comfy shoes because there will be dancing! She also made sure to wear a shorts underneath the dress like always since she didn't feel safe wearing such a short dress outside of controlled environments. Like she didn't mind the short dress if she knew she will be sitting at a table or a couch and won't get up more than once for bathroom or was at a house party where she knew all the people attending and felt safe enough.

She curled her hair and put them in a half up half down hairdo and her makeup was a glittery dark blue eyeshadow and sparkly red lip-gloss, Michael's New Years' present!

She and Michael met at Jitters the day she decided to get out of her house and start going back to normal after giving birth to John, he was new in the city and was working as a barista. He had a degree in Psychology and was working on his Masters at that time. He says that he saw her sad and empty eyes and felt very bad for her so he decided to take his break then and sit with her offering her a chocolate muffin in the process.

Helena had felt very at ease with Michael, she had seen his painted nails with vibrant green that reminded her of her childhood bedroom and they talked about interior design. That was their thing, Michael and Helena had started this daydreaming of building their own dream homes and every day they would meet and show designs they found on Pintreast or made themselves. And soon Michael started asking questions like, why did she add a nursery to her house and soon he heard about her having to give up her son at birth for mental health issues. Michael had a son too from a relationship he had in High School and became a teen dad, his baby mama and him were never on good terms and became worse when he came out as gay. He hadn't seen his son in years. That changed a year ago when a fifteen years old boy came into Jitters asking for him and Helena was there to see the reunion.

For Helena Michael was her closest friend after Zia. He knew everything about her since she felt she could trust him, he was accepting.

So, she drove to the club and met them outside as she smiled and hugged Michael and met Michael's boyfriend Josef and his brother Derek. They enter the club and it was amazing and high tech yet if felt comfy as they ordered their drinks and sat at a booth.

They got to know one another and after a few drinks in Derek asked Helena to dance, she had told him that she wasn't here for a date but moral support so they were not on a date and Derek agreed saying that he was trying to wow a girl back at home in Metropolis.

She smiled happy they were doing this on strictly platonic stages she started dancing with him do Halsey – New Americana.

She didn't feel her phone vibrating on the table.

Bucky and John had brought dinner and were knocking on Helena's door but there was no answer so John used his key to get inside to find the house empty but smelling Helena's perfume.

"It smells like mum went out. I guess it's the two of us." John said shrugging as he set the bag of food on the kitchen table. Before flopping on the couch and opening his phone to scroll through Instagram.

Bucky was slapped by the comment and he remembered the reminder in her phone last night! She went out with Michael! Anger and jealousy boiled in him and tried to push it down but failed.

"Do you have any idea where your mum would be?" Bucky asked his son who nodded and showed him his phone with his Instagram stories of some random person and in the background saw his mum dancing with some dude. He didn't mind it but he was confused because he thought that his parents were trying again to be together.

Bucky almost broke the phone at the sight and found where the club was and left telling his son not to open the door for anyone and to eat without him. John got worried and called Barry saying how he feared his dad will go full on Winter Soldier on his mum's date and didn't know what to do.

Barry said that he will deal with it before he speeded over to Helena's house leaving Iris to stay with John and comfort him.

Barry then called Slade as a backup, if he used his super strength he needed another super soldier to help contain him while he protected civilians. Slade was in the second he finished his sentence and opened a portal outside the club.

Barry and Slade walked inside looking for Helena and James only to see Michael who waved them from his booth and they got to him asking where Helena is and Michael said she was on the dance floor with Derek, his brother.

"You know she and her ex husband are trying again?" Slade asked them young man who nodded.

"Yes, but this was arranged weeks ago and she made it clear it's platonic to Derek." Michael said in defense and concerned.

"Good because we fear that her ex is here and is looking for trouble and he's like me." Slade said seriously and Michael nodded.

"Okay, if anything happens we won't try to get in the middle." Michael said seriously.

"Please tell me that my brother isn't in danger." Josef asked worried and tense.

"Hopefully no." Barry said as he scanned the dance floor and spotted Helena and Derek jumping and lip syncing to Margaret's Cool Down. She looked to have a blast and felt guilty for ruining. She deserves as much fun as any other human and then some and here was her ex putting a dumper on it! He grew protective of his friend! Slade's thoughts were the same as Barry's but also understood Bucky's thoughts, the serum heightened every emotion and he would have been the same if Zia was the type of woman to go out. When they met Zia was so tired mentally that she wasn't much of club scene she preferred more peaceful settings. But he was told of the club stories she and Helena had lived before the pandemic and war. If he ever went back in time and met a younger Zia he would have been possessive of Zia too but out of love and fear that she would meet someone better than him and more worthy than him. He still doubted he was worthy of Zia and thanked his lucky stars for the years of love they experienced.

"I don't see James." Barry said seriously and concerned as he shook Slade out of his inner monologue.

Then he heard Mabel's Don't Call Me Up play and Slade smiled remembering Zia and Helena blurting the lyrics on the top of their lungs one beach camping night as they danced or attempted to dance but they were so drunk they were falling over themselves. Helena loved the song and Slade had an idea that she thought of James and his thoughts of her regarding how she left him.

Barry and Slade watched as both Helena and Derek were singing loudly and semi dancing and mostly laughing drunkenly.

"How much she had?" Barry asked Michael amused and he pointed the two vodka gins and the three tequila shots sitting on her side.

"Yikes!" Slade cringed and Barry shook his head.

Then they saw him! Bucky entered the club like a mad man and he was scanning the area as Slade and Barry scrambled to sit at Derek's and Helena's seats pretending to be out with Michael and Josef and they eyed the dance floor when the song changed to Mabel's Mad Love.

"Is the DJ for real?" Slade asked amused and Michael choked on his drink understanding the underline of Slade's question. These two songs were the favorites of Helena and she went all out while dancing to them.

"Derek loves Mabel too." Josef said smiling and Barry shook his head as they kept watching as Helena and Derek attempted to twerk..well mostly Derek was trying to twerk and Helena was hysterically laughing and then they were singing loudly.

Slade saw Bucky's murderous look and then shock in his face when the song Body On My Mind by Moonshine came on and Slade saw Helena and Derek starting to dance the Tik Tok routine it was known with that song and sing loudly along with many others like they were in some kind of musical.

"I forgot how fun it is to be at a club." Barry yelled over the music and Slade chuckled.

"I know…" Slade agreed.

"We are on!" Slade said suddenly as he patted Barry's shoulder and got up seeing Bucky marching towards Helena.

Barry and Slade were on the dance floor in a blink of an eye and made eye-contact with Helena who looked confused at them and stopped dancing and Slade mouthed "behind you!" before Helena concerned turned around to see Bucky. She turned to Derek and pushed him towards Barry and Slade.

"Go to your brother and Michael now!" Barry told Derek stressing the importance of that action and he nodded as he walked towards them and Slade stood a few feet behind Helena glaring at Bucky while Helena glared at him too but Slade was surprise to see betrayal and hurt in Bucky's eyes instead of anger.

"I thought we were trying again but I see you out here with others, what the hell, Helena?!" Bucky yelled at her.

"Take it outside, James!" Barry advised seriously with hints of threatening in his tone and Helena nodded as she grabbed Bucky's metal arm and dragged him out while Slade through his jacket to Helena who caught it with ease and put it on before exiting the establishment.

"First of all, we were out as friends! Derek has a girl back home, we came here for moral support for my friend, Michael, and Derek's brother Josef!" Helena yelled at him in anger and disbelief of his cavemen ways.

"You know it's the 21st century and women can go out on their own with male friends being in a relationship or not! You don't own me! It's not 1940s!" Helena yelled at him as Bucky was trying to calm himself and not saying something hurtful.

"Oh really?! Because it didn't look all that friendly from where I stood!" Bucky yelled at her and Helena chuckled.

"Have you been to a club? Have you seen how non-friendly dancing looks like? Because what you saw couldn't be more friendly!" Helena yelled loudly and defensively and she had being poking Bucky's check and slightly pushing him.

"Oh don't try to pin this on me! You always use me as an excuse! You didn't tell me about who you truly were because you "feared" that it would trigger me, but let's be honest for once that you hate working for a relationship or anything really, you want to always be the victim or being seeing as a saint and considerate! If you don't want this, whatever this is, to work then say so don't drag me along or do it for my sake! End it so we can both move on and you can go back to dancing with ever man that walk on this dimension, hell fuck them too for all I care!" Bucky yelled at her angry, hurt, betrayed and confused.

Why was Helena doing this to him?! What did he ever do to her?

"I opened up about everything shitty in my life, Helena, told you I loved you and I still do, so much that it hurts! I let you in, Helena! I never let anyone in and the only thing you have done in the past 17 years is to reassure my original fear, trust equals pain! No matter what I have done as the Winter Soldier, I don't deserve this! I don't deserve to be treated like this, to question everything when it comes to you! Our son doesn't deserve to watch this shit show! I'm asking you this one last time, do you truly want to give us another try? Do you love me? And don't try to humor me!" Bucky continued his rant as he moved his hands widely and Helena had her hands around herself and listen to him as tears were silently running.

He wasn't wrong. She could have easily told him "hey I'm going out with some friends tomorrow night".

Their relationship started on one-sided affection to pity dating to falling in love yet holding back everything that essentially make the background of a person's life or tone down vague information borderline lies sometimes, to gaslighting to ghosting. They were so toxic…

Maybe they were never meant to be a couple and they were only meant to have John so he can take the mental of being a totem barer and that's it. Maybe it's better if Helena give up on Bucky and free him from whatever this was so he can accept her death easier and find happiness.

"Helena! I'm speaking to you! I asked you a question! Do you truly want to try this once over? Do you even love me?" Bucky tone was completely defeated and hurt, his eyes were the ones of a wounded puppy. It made Helena's heart squeeze tightly.

In the back of her mind she truly didn't want to give them a second try, she feared it won't work, she'd be dragging the horse around for no reason. She was toxic, she inflicted that pain to Bucky.

"I'm toxic to you Bucky. You are right, you don't deserve this no matter what you did as the Winter Soldier, nobody does…" She started talking her voice steady but it was wavering.

"I'm going to stop you right there, Helena, choose the next words wisely because you won't be able to take back what you are about to say." Bucky warned her as tears picked up in his eyes, he felt it coming.

Helena nodded as she gulped and licked her lips.

"As I was saying, nobody deserves how I treat you. But I didn't use you as excuse I truly worried and worry how you are going to take all of this both my past and my future…the future without me in it. You make it sound so peaceful that we are going to spend whatever time I have left together and be happy, we might, but I don't think we will be. The pain I caused you and the doubt I planted in your mind will always be lurking and you always going to worry if I love you enough, if I'm honest with you, am I lying to you now or telling the truth? It's better we remain civil for John's sake but I don't think it would be wise to try this again. I'm releasing you." Helena said with a steady tone as she sniffled a little and but her voice was steady her eyes showed the pain and regret in her soul.

"NO!" Bucky roared angrily as tears spilled from his eyes to his cheeks as he launched to cup her face and rested his forehead to hers and that action broke Helena as she too started to sob.

"Yes! Yes, Bucky, we have to, we aren't healthy! I'm toxic to you!" Helena said sobbing as she tried to pry his hands off her face and held them in hers as she looked at him in the eyes when she called him Bucky.

"You deserve someone who will be honest with you from the second they would introduce themselves to you, someone who you'd feel in your bones that you are wanted and needed." Helena told him as they rested their foreheads together and both of them were crying.

"How I felt with my John, his death must have broken something in me and turned it into something toxic and dark and I'm unable not to hurt the people I love. Hurt people hurt people and you've been hurt enough by me, save yourself!" Helena told him as she sobbed and forcefully let his hands go and gave him a small cheek kiss before she walked away.

Bucky stood frozen in his spot as tears run down his face.

Helena grumbled down as she turned to the corner and she slid against the wall and cried letting everything out.

She doesn't know how long she's been crying but she run out of tears as she stood up and opened a portal to Zambezi and specifically Kuasa's house and knocked on her door, it was 8 pm for her.

"Helena! What's wrong?" Kuasa opened the door and looked concerned at her fellow totem barer.

"Can you take over teaching my son how to master the Earth totem? I can't do it." Helena said emotionless as she took off her totem and hand it to Kuasa's shocked hands.

"Tell me what happened, now." Kuasa ordered and Helena sighed as she walked inside the house as Kuasa opened her door for her.

They drank tea and Helena explained everything about her and Bucky.

"You were right, you were toxic and it was all your fault, you should have told him the truth from the beginning. But there's no reason for you to give up the sacred duty." Kuasa said seriously.

"I don't want to! I want to just die, Kuasa, to end this fucked up life…I don't want to live because as much as I'm helping with Team Flash in my personal life I'm toxic. I'm not setting a good example for John or anyone really, the world will be better without me in it. I cheated death one too many times." Helena said seriously and concerned and Kuasa nodded agreeing with her.

"Alright, but in the time you have left you need to say your goodbyes, you are not disappearing like that, you can do it by writing letters and sending them or going face to face, but you need to tie up loose ends. Only then I can accept your totem." Kuasa told her serious and Helena nodded as stood up and bid her grateful goodbyes to Kuasa who wished her strength and wisdom in return.

Helena returned an emotional wreck home to find Bucky sleeping on the couch and a sticky note attached to the door;

"I will leave tomorrow, I got too drunk to leave. Slade is writing this note, he's good dude…

Slade: I expect my jacket back, missy!"

She sighed as she walked over to Bucky and put a second blanket over him because the apartment was freezing cold before she walked into her room and went to bed.

The next day she woke up feeling tired as she heard noise from the kitchen and go out to see Bucky making breakfast.

"What are you doing?" She asked confused and hesitant.

"Making breakfast for John, he has school today." Bucky answered back with an emotionless tone and Helena nodded before she went back to her room and hid as she typed her resignation letter and sent it to Iris.

Then she got dressed and went to get breakfast as she got out she saw John eating happily as she went over to hug him and kissed his forehead.

"I love you, bud!" She whispered to him and he nodded.

"I love you too, mum!" John said excited and she saw Bucky staring at her in a distrustful way but he averted his eyes the moment their gazes met.

She ate in silence forcing herself to eat knowing full well she will puke later. John waved her goodbye and one last hug before Bucky opened the portal and awkwardly waved.

The moment the portal closed Helena rushed to the bathroom and puked and broke down crying hugging her toilet. She got up after she was done and started composing letters to everyone she ever met and cared for. The next day she made arrangements to have the letters delivered in 24 hours after the next day after tomorrow.

She dry cleaned the jacket and teleported it to Slade.

She saw by herself the in her house while she had shut off all electronics and teleported one last time to Kuasa's house and she let the totem to her.

Kuasa hugged her thanking her for her service and voiced how she hoped that she wouldn't do this and to think of her son but she smiled sadly and said she was, he deserved a better mother than her.

The moment she left Kuasa's house she could feel the life slipping away from her body, old wounds reopened, bruises re-appeared and Helena sat on the floor of her apartment crying in pain and drinking.

Soon it was over.

Her body laid lifeless in its own pool of blood.

It took a whole day before an angry Slade and Barry broke her apartment door down and rushed inside while Zia and Stella with Pavlos and Panos stood in horror as Slade held Helena's body crying.

Bucky was in the Stark Tower punching a bag when he went to wash his face from the sweat and saw a letter on his towel with Helena's handwriting.

He opened it with an angry sigh as he started reading it and his knees gave out as he fell on his knees and let a sob to be heard causing JAVRIS to alert Steve, Sam and Tony who rushed to him taking turns reading the letter and looking horrified as Steve and Sam held Bucky.

John was playing with his friends in the playground in his school when he felt a bang in his chest and froze as his eyes glowed green and tears picked up as he turned to his left and saw the ghost of his mum.

"I love you, John, but you deserved better than me as a mum and teacher." Helena told him with a calm expression and John grew angrier.

"YOU ARE BEING SELFISH!" John yelled at her and he run to grab his stuff and ditched school finding himself at the Stark Tower where he met his dad who was silently sitting in a couch.

"Mum killed herself." John said emotionless as he stood there and let his bag fall to the ground.

Bucky hugged him as both started crying again.

"I hate her." John said after awhile.

"I will never do that to my children, never!" John said serious.

"Good, because it's not nice. Sam is willing to hear you out as in a therapist session when you're ready, okay?" Bucky told him silently and John nodded as they held on to each other.

Maria appeared all serious and sympathetic and Bucky have had it with the women of that family!

"You knew all along, didn't you?" Bucky accused her and she nodded.

"I'm sorry." Maria said seriously and genuinely and Bucky nodded before he hugged her that was when Maria started to sob, it's been ten years for her yet it stung.

Helena's funeral happened in Greece in her dimension, Bucky's eyes were red from crying and so were everybody else's. They couldn't believe Helena would do such a thing.

Bucky stayed behind after the funeral and kneeled before her grave;

"Why would you do this?" He sobbed as he touched the freshly laid dirt.

"I had already decided I wanted to be done with this life, I feared if I lived any longer I would hurt even more people." Helena's voice sounded behind him and he jumped at the sound of it but saw no one, he felt the warm wind and he could swear he felt a hand on his cheek.

"Goodbye Bucky." Her voice spoke one more time and Bucky closed his eyes as more tears spilled and tried to grasp her hand but felt air.

Twenty Years Later:

Bucky watched smiling as his son with his wife, Tony's daughter of all people, were chasing their toddler daughter, Helena-Antonia. While Helena's twin James was sitting by his side eating a cookie and giggling happily.

He never found anyone to fill the hole Helena had left but he got a cat which helped him through everything.

"James, go to your mum I have to go pee." Bucky said now reaching the age of 53 years old although normally he should have been 126 years old but his body showed he was 53.

He went to pee in the public toilets they had at the park and as he started walking back to the bench he almost had a heart attack. A girl that looked EXACTLY like Helena only younger maybe around 21 years old was working her camera lens trying to get the perfect shot of a leaf on a tree.

This Helena had purple hair and was dressed in bohemian chic vibe, as Morgan would say, she wore glasses and had an old fashion messenger bag on her and a camera bag on her back.

"Helena?" Bucky gasped as he approached her and this girl jumped.

"Dude! You ruined my shot! Oh! Never mind, it's good! Sorry!" The girl spoke with a thick Scottish accent as she turned to face him. If she hadn't dyed her hair or wore that ridiculous patterned clothes she would have been a dead-ringer for Helena.

"Is your name Helena?" Bucky asked with his heartbeat elevating.

"No…it's Vicky…Vicky Fraser! Why?" Vicky asked confused with the Scottish accent sounding so out of place in Bucky's ears.

"Nothing…you look a lot like my late wife and for a moment I thought you were her. I'm sorry! Enjoy your visit!" Bucky said apologetically as he started walking away with a sad smile.

"Sir, wait!" Vicky yelled before Bucky turned and she snapped a picture of him with her Polaroid which she had whipped out in lighting movements before handing it to him. Bucky saw in the photo a white shadow next to him.

"Sometimes, loved ones linger but we must move on because we are the living not the dead to stay in one place, one memory." Vicky told him smiling kindly.

"You're right, thank you for the photo." Bucky said smiling sadly.

"My great grandma Claire was always right about these stuff…goodbye kind sir!" Vicky said smiling at him before she watched him walk away. She snapped a few pictures before she left the park.

She walked into her hotel room and opened her phone FaceTiming a name called grandmamma.

"Vicky, dear, how was the flight?" A voice of an American older woman said as Vicky took her stuff off her.

"Grandmamma Brianna, is mum there?" Vicky asked hopeful and the red haired woman nodded as another redheaded woman came forth smiling.

"Mum, I met him! I met Helena's husband…I can finally rest! I'm coming back to Edinburgh, first thing in the morning! I'm rid of the nightmares, ma!" Vicky exclaimed relieved as she slammed on her bed and the woman smiled proudly.

"Well done, sweetie! Dealing with karma one day at the time!" The mother encouraged her and she smiled.

The next day Vicky flown over New York as she looked down at it smiling, she was free…free of Helena and her mistakes.

Vicky ever since she was born she plagued with nightmares of Helena's life and it didn't help being in a family that time travel was their family secret. Thank god, her grandmamma suggested to start looking into her dreams, to see if they were real people or not. She found everything she could before she asked her witch girlfriend if they could do a past life regression ceremony to gather more info on it and she had seen everything in Helena's life.

Down on the ground, Bucky was playing chess with Sam when he instinctively looked up at the airplane flying by.

"CHECKMATE!" Sam's victorious voice made him shake out of the odd daze he was in and look bewildered and laughed in defeat as he handed Sam his owed money.

"Careful not pull a knee with your victory dance, Wilson!" Bucky said laughing.

At night Bucky laid in his bed and looked at the photo he got from this odd girl and his wedding picture to Helena.

Flashback:

Bucky was jumping up and down trying to shake his nerves as Steve and Sam were prying to see if Helena had cold feet.

"She's not running, Barnes!" Strange told him amused from his spot where he fixing his suit in the mirror.

"She might!" Bucky said anxiously.

He stood in the alter as Helena walked by herself towards him, he couldn't believe how beautiful she looked in her dress, he had to bite his lip not to cry.

End of Flashback:

Now that memory was bittersweet but it didn't hurt anymore. None of the memories did. Not even saying her name hurt. Not after he met his adorable granddaughter!

With a soft smile he fell asleep.

She was right after all, he needed her to release him to finally heal and enjoy what he got, wonderful friends, wonderful son he was proud of, a daughter in law he viewed as his own and grandchildren who were his kryptonite!

Helena's family cut contact with him after three years of forced communication but it hurt Stella too much to see them. Maria kept working at SHIELD but she barely made contact with him, she talked to James though from time to time.

Life felt light again. No more secrets and lies.
