I got this idea not long after watching Miraculous World: Shanghai: The Legend of Ladydragon. This may or may not be turned into a series, depending on the feedback this story get.

Anyway, hope you like this!

It was a day of chaos in the city of Shanghai. All of a sudden, a giant creature burst out of nowhere and began laying waste to the city, destroying buildings and vaporizing people in its way. People were running, grieving, screaming in fear as the monster went on its rampage. But while all that happened, many saw the most incredible yet unexplainable thing. Ladybug and Cat Noir, in Shanghai city, what was even more surprising was the sudden appearance of a huge dragon, a creature which was thought to be just an old legend at the time, appear in the night skies battling the giant fiercely before it defeated it, and everything reverted to normal somehow. People were brought back, and buildings were restored. If this was in the city of Paris or New York, this phenomenon of villains showing up and heroes rushing in to save the day was something indeed common. But this was Shanghai.

"Dào dǐ shì zěnme huí shì!?" A man among a group, who was wearing dark blue asked. They were all confused about what was even going on as a wave of what seemed to be pink washed across the city.

"Bù zhī dào!" Another man answered equally confused, not knowing what was going on as they all looked around as the damages around them were being repaired and people were relieved, hugging each other after realizing that everything was going to be alright.

"Kàn!" One of the police officers pointed to the skies, drawing the others' attention to a red eagle carrying a man, soaring through the air before seemingly noticed them before flying towards them.

They held their guns up as they watched the red eagle landed down on the ground with the man, transforming back into a person, a red-haired girl. A man, presumably the head of the police force walked forward towards the girl, pointing the gun at her, glaring at her.

"Nǐ shì shéi? Who are you!?" the man asked demandingly in two languages, not knowing which one the mysterious red-haired girl spoke.

After a short while, the young woman spoke. "I'm Ladydragon! I'm here to drop off a criminal," the young woman spoke as she held Cash up.

'Ladydragon?" asked the man scoffingly turning to his comrades. "Tā shuō tā de míng jiào Lóng Nǚ." There were laughs and a bit of look of disapproval cast at her before the man leading the police force turned and spoke. "Are you one of those Parisian superheroes?" asked the man, glaring at her.

"I'm Chinese," Fei said confidently, looking at the police, who now looked surprised. "

" Nǐ shì zhōngguó rén? " asked the man in mandarin, sounding surprised.

"Shì," Ladydragon answered firmly, confirming her nationality.

The people who were they now looked at her in surprise, lowering their guns, as if the fact that she was a Chinese was something surprising.

"Look, I'm here to drop off a criminal, that's all. He is responsible for corruption, robbery, damage of property and assault," Fei revealed as Cash just looked at her fearfully.

"W- We will take him," the head of the police force said, still giving Ladydragon a weird look.

"Xièxiè!" Ladydragon thanked the man before transforming into her eagle form, flying away into the night of Shanghai.

An alarm clock rang loudly, vibrating on the floor, and next to it, was a Chinese woman, laying on a mattress on the floor of the room. Fei opened her eyes groggily as she turned around, her arms moving around aimlessly as she off the alarm before getting up. She was wearing her usual jeans with a T-shirt.

"Ah, I see that you are up," a low familiar voice said, startling Fei a bit before she remembered what happened two days ago, something that changed her life again.

"Good morning, Meishi," Fei said groaningly. "Do you even sleep?'

"I'm a spirit like being, I don't usually sleep," Meishi said as he floated up towards Fei.

"Well, at least don't sit there in the open, Marinette and her uncle cannot see you with me," Fei hushed warningly.

"I know, don't worry, I know what to do," the black spirit said relaxingly.

Fei's hand moved to her neck, feeling the pendant that she was wearing, making sure that the important magical pendant necklace was still there. She had already been frightened once when she lost the bracelet once, and that gave her a mental note to be more careful from then one. Then, sounds of people waking up in the house could be heard.

"You are worried," Meishi noted, looking at the brunette.

"Why wouldn't I? I lost the bracelet once," Fei sighed as she got up and walked into the bathroom to wash her face and tidy herself a bit.

"Understandable, Fei," Meishi agreed as he followed her.

"A bit privacy please," Fei reminded, glaring at the spirit.

"Of course," Meishi nodded before floating away.

Soon, Fei came out of the bathroom, her hair tied into her usual ponytail, feeling refreshed as she walked towards the door. "Meishi, stay out of sight," she reminded.

"I know," the black spirit said before he flew into the bracelet that Fei was wearing.

The Chinese girl walked out of the room then down the stairs, Marinette was already at the table, with her hair let down.

"Oh, morning Fei," Marinette greeted as she looked up from her phone, which made Fei smirk as she already knew what, or more accurately, who she was looking at.

"Zǎo ān," Fei greeted. "You should let down your hair more, Marinette," Fei noted.

"Yeah, not the first time I heard that," Marinette said chuckling as she looked at her phone.

"So, are you still looking at pictures of your boyfriend?" asked Fei curiously, smirking.

"Wait, what? Uhmm… no! Hehe," Marinette giggled nervously. "He is not my boyfriend, just a very good friend!" Marinette corrected.

"You're a terrible liar, you know that?" asked Fei smiling, folding her arms as she leaned against the wall while Marinette just chuckled nervously. "Come on, I'm a girl too, you can tell me all about your crush with the Agreste boy," Fei said.

"Was I that obvious?" asked Marinette sheepishly as Fei sat down on the table, grabbing a bun from the plate.

"Quiet. For example…" Fei began.

"No, no, nope! No need to elaborate on that!" Marinette stammered in embarrassment while Fei just giggled.

"Good morning girls," Wang said as he entered the dining room, in a good mood as usual. "I see both of you are up already. You packed your bags yet? Wouldn't want to be late for your flight," Wang reminded the girl.

"Yeah, I packed Uncle Wang," Marinette answered as Wang walked back out of the dining room.

"It is a shame that you're already going home," Fei sighed.

"Oh? Don't you have friends here?" asked Marinette concerned, putting her device down.

"For years I was so focused on protecting Father's secret, that I, haven't exactly focused on making friends," Fei said sighingly.

"Well, maybe… this could be a new start," Marinette suggested. "You do go to school, right?" asked Marinette. "Make some friends."

"Oh, I don't know. I'm usually known as this… quiet figure in class," Fei said. "Well, I suppose, like you said, a new start I supposed."

"That's the spirit," Marinette said smilingly.

"And what about you? Going to ask him out anytime soon?" asked Fei cheekily.

"Uh heehe…" Marinette chuckled nervously, stammering.

"You're so hopelessly in love," Fei chuckled, shaking her head.

"What about you?" asked Marinette, attempting to divert away from this awkward topic.

"What do you mean?" asked the brunette confused.

"Don't you have a crush at school?" asked Marinette before realizing. "Ohh… right… I'm sorry."

"No need. I choose to be like this the moment my father made me the guardian," Fei said. "Although, I do acknowledge the fact that I haven't really had a 'normal' life," Fei sighed air-quoting the words.

"Well, a new start, remember?" asked Marinette.

"Yeah, right," Fei nodded smiling weakly. There was no doubt that all this would need some getting used to.

"Are you sure you packed everything?" asked Wang once more as he let go off the girl, making sure as Marinette was above to enter the departure hall.

"Yes, Uncle Wang. I'm sure I packed everything," Marinette confirmed smilingly before turning to look at Fei. "You know, I didn't expect to actually make friends here," Marinette said, her hand gripping the luggage. "I'm glad that we are friends, sister Fei," the Parisian said.

"As am I, sister Marinette," Fei said before wrapping her arms around the girl, hugging her tight before letting her go. "Take care."

"Good luck, Ladydragon," Marinette winked as she whispered softly, loud enough for Fei to hear.

"H- How-" Fei stuttered as she looked around cautiously.

"I kinda put that together already," Marinette answered. "You need to be careful… No one should know-"

"I know… Thanks," Fei and Marinette exchanged glances on more time before the Parisian turned and left, walking into the queue, leading into the departure hall.

Once the Parisian got inside, she waved her hands, looking at her great uncle and newfound friend one last time before turning away, walking onto the elevator, taking her to the top floor.

"So, shall we go home now?" asked Wang, looking at the brunette.

Fei just looked at the man and nodded smilingly. "Of course, Mr. Cheng."

It was a start of something new for Fei after so many years. A new life of living with someone else, a new life guarding the Prodigious around her neck, the life of Shanghai's newest and only protector, Ladydragon.

A car stopped in front of a police station, from inside the car, a man, wearing dark blue uniform as the man who accompanied him walked out. However, his uniform is largely different from everyone else. He's the commissioner of the Shanghai police.

The commissioner walked into the building, exchanging nods and receiving salutes from the people he came across. He then walked into a room, the office of the man whom Ladydragon has passed Cash to on that day, the Chief of this police station. The man quickly saluted the commissioner before the older man nodded.

"This is a surprising visit sir," the man said nervously. "Is something wrong?" asked the chief worried.

"It is a surprising visit, but absolutely necessary," the commissioner said firmly as he looked at the man. "I heard that you and your team has directly encountered this new…. superhuman," the older man noted.

"Yes, what you heard is true," the chief answered.

"Tell me exactly what happened that night, and what do you know about her," the older man requested quickly, glaring at the man.
