Chapter One

In the Halls of Valhalla

The Gods have all gathered today in celebration. There's no hostility, no bickering. Just a peaceful truce. Egyptian Gods, Greek Gods, and Norse Gods are all gathered together to show their appreciation of the 10,000 years of peace between them. The 3 major Gods; Ra, Zeus, and Odin all sit at the head of the table. Odin's voice cut through the chatter of the hundreds of gods and goddesses gathered.

"Thank you all for coming!", Odin's voice boomed. "We are gathered here to celebrate our period of peace and prosperity!" The Norsemen shouted WOORAH! He motions for them to be silent with a sly smile on his face.

"Yes, it is something to be proud of! Humanity as benefited from the many millennium of the Gods not infighting." Zeus interjected.

"Yes", Zeus started, "We have once again did good by our creations and even better, each other. We have ushered in an era of peace." Ra stood with his arms crossed, eyes closed, nodding along. Zeus and Odin continued to go on about the importance of maintaining the peace. When their speech was done, the party continued. All the cups refilled themselves with Valhalla's finest mead. Joyous laughs filled the grand halls.

Everyone was so caught up in their conversations, they wouldn't have noticed Zeus face get stone cold. Zeus doesn't show it long though. He puts back on the fake smile as he approached his son, Hercules.

Hercules was out drinking Greek men and Norsemen alike. Every person who failed to measure up to him is met with a booming laugh.

"My boy, Hercules! How are you enjoying the festivities?" Hercules turned with the biggest grin on his face.

"Father!", Hercules laughed. "I'm enjoying myself greatly. You and Odin throw quite the party". Zeus nods with a grin.

"Yes, no expense was spared. Can I steal you for a moment?" Hercules finished his mead and wiped the drink from his beard. He put his cup on the table and followed his father out the room.

Zeus led Hercules into an isolated room. The room was dark and empty, save Odin standing in there. Odin noticed the face of concern on Hercules face. Odin tried to ease his concerns.

"Don't worry boy, Ra is looking over the party."

"Careful Odin", Hercules answered. It was clear he felt disrespected. "I am no boy to you"

"Zeus, I thought you raised your children with more respect." Odin chuckled but he was clearly looking down at Hercules. "You don't have enough God in you to speak such a way. " Hercules fist tightened.

"Careful boy", Zeus warned. "But enough of these squabbles. There's an easy way to erase that slight Hercules. Just become a full God." Hercules scoffed in disbelief.

"I've tried this for centuries father. I've never been able to impress you or the council of gods enough to be granted full God hood."

"Well boy" Odin answered. "That's why you're here. We have a proposition for you". Hercules eyebrows raised. He looked at his father and Zeus' face seems to confirm everything being said.

"Well then what is it?"

"Well son, I'm sure you've noticed Thor isn't here. There's a reason for that. He's been on a secret mission for Odin." Hercules eyebrow raised. Odin took over.

"There's been a lot of criminal activity. Whether it's gods or whomever, there's a lot of underworld activity. Hades has not been able to give us answers."

"So where do I come in?"

"Odin sent Thor to investigate. We haven't heard from him in a week. The last report we got from them is that things were going down in a city called Nomad."

"Thor's missing?"

Odin responded, "Nomad is a city that escapes my vision. I don't know what clouds my sight. This is something I've never experienced. "

"So Hercules, we are tasking you to find Thor and help him complete his mission. You may take two people with you. You have 5 days to figure it out." Zeus left the room to return to the party. Odin followed after him to leave Hercules to ponder his thoughts and options.
