FAIRY TAIL For what reason of why i'm writing this i have no clue, it has been a long while since I remember really anything but hey who said it'll be following cannon at all it's an AU. Now, i decided on just having a nice slice of life/harem/romance...? umm i'll get back to you on that one. the type of natsu story, of course there is 200s (Harem) of them on the app which kinda baffles me. of course there are more hidden somewhere but lets see what this story is about.to be honest, nothing i mean it's not a smut-rub of a story.. (Maybe) but it'll be fun to just write ridiculous things for no reason right?But in the AU, I wanted to do sometbing abit different i would like to call it "Soft natsu" what is soft natsu? Well, soft hes a softy not the loud boy we usually know him not because I don't like it, but lets just see ok? and no this does not mean he is smart and is much more talented then everyone else, no i meant he is still natsu but with a more softer approach you get me? no? well. Cant blame you.Anyways! lets us go with the story name itself Soft dragon Girls, Natsu, Girls... and more girls. ALRIGHT LETS DO IT!
The day it happened
START
Fairy tail, a guild that stood for many things, but the strongest one was family, a guild where you stood together as one, blood related or not when you have the mark of a fairy you will fly with the rest.
And in fairy tail, bonds do matter as everyone here is a mis-matched moron, to a stripping ice mage, the stalking rain mage, the strawberry cake mage, the demoness, the manly man mage, as you can see by the amount of the word mage infront of the canvas, it has alot of mages.
But one stood out abit more then the rest, a certain salmon-haired, crimson flamed, loud-mouth dragonslayer.
"Natsu, are you sure your alright ever since you took that mountain quest with happy, he told me how you fell into that strange liquid near the edges, and ever since you haven't been.. well you!"
A blonde celestial wizard, lucy heartfilia an early veteran of the guild, take that with a grain of salt wanting to reassure herself that her friend was okay.
the blondie was questioning the person sitting infront of her next to the titania who was seemingly in her own world with her eyes shut.
"Yeah, definitely why?" The pink haired protagonist tilted his head slightly as he looked at his friend who was inverted across from him.
"I mean, you are definitely not you." The remark left the salamander abit confused as he saw nothing wrong with himself.
"It's a nice change atleast you haven't been causing trouble you flame brain.." Grey decided to try to poke and see if that would make the dragonslayer buttheads with him like the usually do.
Tension did slightly risen, as the small space they were near was suddenly more heating then before. Natsu scowled at his long time rival his eyes had a sharp glint in them, he readied his move and he went for it.
"That's mean." a pout was his retort, which by that alone left the three to worry. erza, lucy, and grey kept gawking at their spikey head comrade.
Their eyes slowly tracked back to each other, then back at the him. and them, grey saw a glint in erzas eyes, a lightbulb went off and erza suddenly had an idea.
As the guild got more louder as a fight broke out, a normal occurring thing in the guild. though not so normal as the one suppose to join...
"Aren't you gonna join them?" Lucy herself couldn't really believe she would ask that, then again they weren't in a normal predicament.
Natsu was looking at the situation, before turning back and smiling sheepishly at the wizard.
"I'm good, i'm kinda tired anyways hehe." Natsu lazed at his spot, but his relaxing nature slowly diminished and replaced with a crumbling smile on his face.
"Alright... i'll show you all, a new techinque i learned, ITS CALLED NOT BREATHING!"
And there he goes, a blaze with his temper as he went on his rampage
"I guess he was fine after all." Lucy smiled at the scene of natsu unleashing his dragonly frustration at... everyone.
While a certain knight smiled with pride swelling in her chest, as the old trick in the book worked. erza doesn't condone brawl's but this was an exception.
"For starting the fight you seem pretty proud." A teasing voice in the form mira who was behind the counter, poked at her long-time rival.
"WHAT!? Nooo, i would never do anything as barbaric as that..!" Mira could only titter with her hand covering her mouth.
As the brawl kept on going, and more joined in even the great titania herself also stepped into the battlefield after being assaulted by a chair.
Later.
As the last two strongest mages of fairy tail stood, panting they both took a step backwards before having their backsides colliding into one another as they swiftly turned their bodies and it begun.
Natsu and erza had a blazing stare down, as the hall got silent, gone was the brawling aura. Natsu saw erza as his rival while not on the level of grey, he doesn't wanna be out done. Even if she is the queen of fairies. because he is the king of dragons!
The scale scarf wavered as wind from somewhere tugged at the material, natsu had his sight targeted on her.
The stare down kept on for minutes, till natsu made the first move!
Him and erza charged, and sat back at the table with they're two teamate's who were expecting a fight, instead...
"I'm hungry." His stomach second that.
"Cake would be a lovely treat right about now." The guild went crickets.
Erza had her lovely strawberry cake, while natsu had steak. which he ate with a fork and knife, the knife slowly stroked away at the tender juicy meat before the resistance no longer prevailed before stabbing it with the fork.
Lucy who was watching, couldn't help but feel like whatever that liquid was, matured natsu.
"Hey natsu, can i have a bite?" She tested her theory.
He looked at the beauty as he cut a piece of meat and ate it himself.
"No." He smiled softly at the blonde mage.
Okay, maybe not so much matured but it did a number on his emotions.
"Where is happy natsu?" While being focused on the salamander she forgot and realized about the blue exceed who was always near him, was nowhere to be found in the hall.
"Said something about, fish and then about how he will train his mind. i dont really know, he just said he will return when he is worthy..?" Natsu shrugged at what his buddy meant, but he'll probably be back in about tomorrow as he had heard this type of declaration by him once before, and he returned in about 2 hours.
"And you just let him go?"
"Why should i had stopped him?"
Lucy could only lightly facepalm by his laid back attitude, and that cat did he also fall into the liquid..?
Lucy shook her head, sighing while resting her head against her palm. she kept her gaze at the salmon-haired dragonslayer, but as the world slowly dissolved into her own fantasy, she was brought into an image of her, natsu, her in a wedding gown but as she looked to her left and right there were more woman in gowns.
"Lucy?"
"EH!?" She shrieked as her daydreaming shattered back into reality as she faced natsu with a burning flush.
"You've been staring at me for like 10 minutes, its kinda... unsettling.." He smiled with uncertainty in his facial expression.
Lucy blinked, before her face was consumed by more embarrassment and heat. as she tried hiding her face.
Natsu genuinely smiled at the scene infront of him, 'Adorable, so adorable..' while natsu was just gawking at the celestial wielder.
unbeknownst to the young man, the scarlett princess caught the sight, but quickly shifted her attention away as she felt a hurting-ache deep in her chest. was she... jealous?
Meanwhile somewhere out near the lake, freshly dead fishes surrounded a blue being.
It sat in the middle, eyes closed seemingly meditating with the fishes scent trying to distracts his training. it is a torture he is putting himself through but he needed to be a stronger cat, a stronger him.
His black orbs fluttered open with a new fury, he is now a new exceed, he is hole. this training might have only took 4 hours, but he is ready...
"Nom" Happy continued to eat the unending cascade of fishes, he will finish this and he will not fail.
'I'M ALL FIRED UP!!!'
As the day was engulfed by the beautiful night mass, the guild was closed. but two figures walked around in the nightly skies of magnolia.
"I can't believe i thought you matured abit." Lucy joked with natsu.
"Well, i kinda did." He pouted, with a small red hue coating his cheeks.
"Well maybe you did, it's not everyday you become a savant."
"Why would i become a servant when you have virgo?"
"N-No a savant natsu."
"Croissant? i kinda like them." He smiled Innocently, lucy couldn't handle it and burst in euphoria.
"OH MY GOODNESS, YOU'RE SO RIDICULOUS!" She continued to laugh her eyes out, wiping away the tears that formed.
Natsu was bemused, as it was written all over his expression. but smiled as he saw that she was smiling, her bright and bubbly expression was so pure and, beautiful almost like the sun that was eclipsed by the moon.
"Savant, is like a very educated person. in short a genius." she explained the meaning of savant, natsu being who he is understood half of it though he was confused as to why there needed to be another word like that for just saying someone is smart.
"Would levy be count a savant?" He thought of the solid script user.
"I suppose, but she would deny it and say she's not that smart even though she is.." She sighed at her sister, although not related she might as well had been siblings with her.
"I think you're smart too." It caught the attention of the celestial wizard, as she looked over at the blushing dragonslayer.
"Wh-What do you..?"
"I mean you've been writing a novel, sure i laugh at it. but i wish could do that stuff too you know, but sadly i would rather kick butt then read a book." He gave her his trademark grin, which made the sweet-pale honey blonde flustered at his comments about her.
"That is... very nice of you to say natsu.."
"But i mean, that still make's you a dweeb."
"I dont know wether to punch, or be flattered by you..." All that passionate feeling left as fast as it came.
"Hahaha! I'm joking lucy, besides.. its better to be a dweeb then... dumb.." Lucy caught onto how his vocals dropped at his last sentence, his voice drooped slowly with something weighing on his shoulder.
Of course, yes he was very dense, charging in without thinking, fighting without a strategy most of the time.
But even then, everyone had their soft spots. Natsu might not be bright but he isn't stupid. Which was why the blonde wrapped her arms around the dragonslayers arm.
Their movements halted under a street lamp, that lit the two almost like a spotlight shining down upon it's superstars but with no one around them.
"Natsu. you are not dumb, well yes you are but.." She tried figuring a way to explain.
"Look, natsu... you are dumb. yes very, but in you're own respected way. being dumb doesn't mean you are a complete idiot natsu i've seen you done many things, you have accomplish alot. you have done what may look as impossible, i dont think a dumb person could just do that." She tried to give the motivational speech while not knowing if it's working or not, but she poured her heart and love into her delicate syllables.
"Natsu, what you disadvantage in a brain. make's up for what you have here." She placed her palm gently on his well sculptured body, she placed it on his chest.
"You have heart natsu, a heart the heart of a dragon but the soul of a kind and loving person. you are the heart of fairy tail, you are a fairy tale. you have grown so much, and natsu i-no we, we are all proud of you." The dragonslayer was left a struck emotional mess, he wasn't the best with them. his eyes stared into the brown of his best friend, his... crush, well one of them.
Tears were threatening to cascade itself down, but he shut his eyes trying to break it before it could escalate.
Lucy felt the tug of vulnerability in her heart as she saw him fought against his emotions that he had bottled for unknown amount of time.
"Hey." Her soft voice made him open his eyes as he was entrapped into her beautiful orbs that held such warmth and comfort in them.
"It's okay to cry natsu, for all you have done. i haven't properly thanked you... because of you, i have a family!" She flashed him a tearful smile, that ultimately broken the barrier of the dragon, as his tears dripped down onto his cheeks soaking him bit by bit.
She pulled the salamander into a warm embrace, she held him tightly into her chest as his sobbing started, lucy smiled to see him show his true emotions.
"There is nothing wrong, of fearing of being alone natsu. i know that is what you fear, you want attention because you dont wanna be alone.. and i'll make sure you are never alone. because i love you so much natsu.." She smiled, as he released more of his bottled emotions she caressed his back softly as he continuesly sobbed.
'You are such a crybaby.. you big big goofy, dragon.'
As the dragon cried and released his bottled fear, the fear he always held near as he was left to be in that fear untill he was found and made it into a family but he was still afraid, so with his nature he tried getting the attention with many different ways. although some maybe call him annoying, some may call him a nuisance.
But at the end of the day, he is still human. attention is what we need, reassure is what we wish for. and a bond is what we hope to achieve.
Natsu was suddenly pulled back into another pair of soft chests, which did stop his tears as he was surprised to see the face of the one and only titania.
"Natsu, You are not alone." Was the voice of the blonde and crimson, natsu smiled weakly.
"Thank you. I'll make sure you're never alone either!" He grinned lightly with some tears spilling again.

that's it was it good? i hope so what's the next chapter i dont know probably more random stuff, to be honest i'm kinda proud of what i wrote. dont know why, it's not like it screams amazing but hey to each his own.
