The multiverse is a large thing.

In one universe, a show called RWBY was made by a man named Monty Oum, in this universe reality really wasn't nice or evil, God was debatable, and humanity was debatably a good thing. The most important for this story is the sending of the Arecibo message, this will be important in a minute.

In another universe, and a world called Remnant, where Gods once ruled, then destroyed the moon after killing humanity and leaving an unkillable witch and soon a constantly reincarnating wizard, a world where magic once roamed, and a land where good and evil existed.

Now, in the universe where Remnant existed, this old Wizard asked a question, if he could stop the witch. He was told no. Now, this is where things begin to diverge, and we arrive into the universe we shall be following.

Now, in the first universe, the wizard didn't do much but stall after that, but in another he would come up with an idea, if she could not be killed, then send her some place she could not hurt anyone.

Remember that Arecibo message from earlier? That's coming up. The wizard found a way to send the witch some place she could not hurt anyone, a place of burning eternal suffering. Not Hell, no, a place far more real, a star. A star in another universe. You see where this was going?

Coincidentally, when the wizard sent the witch away, a message was also sent from Puerto Rico's Arecibo Observatory on November 16th 1974, the aforementioned Arecibo message. A message sent not really for alien life but more as a show of mankind's accomplishment, but it did. This is where things REALLY split.

Since the message managed to get through to Remnant, many of this planet's astronomers were confused till they managed to decode the message. And what was the result?

Extraterrestrial, or is it Extradimensional, life.

Now, eventually the wizard would open numerous portals to this new land, without too many people knowing, and bring a new age.

An age of Earthling/Terran and Remnant. Animals to Civilize and God made men and women… and how ever Faunus came to be.

Man Slayers and Monster Slayers.

This event would lead to many changes, one of the greatest were a head start to alternative energies (sadly not a big one, stupid stubborn humans), the downfall of Flat Earthers, and a major blow to antivaxxers, not because people grew smart, but because like no one will tell you, disease kills and no one can really prepare you for disease from another world.

Of course, there were the downfalls, the mass population of over 2 Billion attracted hordes of Grimm, so that was fun, but also a lot of racism, you know, "YoU'Re aN AliEn!" kind of stuff. And with how much Earth humans tried and have killed each other, Remnant humans weren't not much better, and even some Faunus. And worst of all, Remnant, even though a completely different planet, used imperial measurement.

Humanity did get somewhat better, less racism, still there, but less, along with some, not much, effort for sharing culture between two planets. A law got put in place to keep countries(looking at the U.S.) from mining Remnant fossil fuels.

Now, with a change for trying to be more open, many years later(starting in October 17, 2005), the first Tarren combat training and culture exchange school was opened in Remnant with students from all over Earth going there. Also coincidentally it was also in Vale with Signal and Beacon, maybe this school had something to do with the wizard?

Now, we know the story of the Little Red "Badass" Riding Hood, one of our main characters, we all know her story will be different, let's watch and get this started!

March 12th, 2013 (I'm assuming the day and month, but 2013 is when RWBY started! Way before the CoVid-19 shit happened!)

"Just take my Lien and leave!" an elderly shop owner held his hands up. In front of him was a ginger man in all white with a bowler's hat, and with him were multiple men wearing the same thing, black suits and hats with red glasses, carrying either machetes or guns.

The old man was shushed by the man in white, "Don't worry, I won't hurt ya, just hand over the money and while we're here, we'll grab some dust," the man said, gesturing for his men to grab the dust.

As the men grabbed the dust, one noticed a girl with a large red cape, as if she didn't see them (she didn't). And seeing the girl, the thug(fool) went up to her.

"Hey, put your hands where I can see them!" the thug(did I say fool I mean complete idiot) said to the girl.

Meanwhile with two of the other thugs, both of them seeming nervous as they looked around.

"Murphy, I don't know about this, we might look like bad guys," Charlie, a black man with a shaved head and American accent said. "We didn't come here just to be a criminal. I have a family."

"Charlie, I know, I know, but Junior said this would pay well, and if you need the money, as soon as we can we'll be out, then you and this misses along with your daughter can live better, get a nice, respectable job that doesn't involve robbery and staying out late with scary blondes." Murphy, a slightly shorter from Chinese descent also with an American accent told him.

"Thank you, Charlie," Murphy nodded with a smile.

"AHHH!" one of their coworkers was flung out of the window.

Everyone looked at the broken window and looked outside. Murphy looked out in horror. A small girl with a long cape, like something from a superhero comic, holding a giant mechanical scythe.

"I'm out, nope! No money is good enough for this shit, Roman, screw you!" Murphy said as he walked up the door and walked away.

The man in white, Roman Torchwick, let out an annoyed sigh. "Oum damnit you stupid monkey," he said pinching his nose.

"Hey!"

Roman looked at Charlie, "You know that's not what I meant!"

"I know, but it still doesn't change. It is still offensive to me, my mother, my classmates at school, and my baby girl, think about what you say. Words matter."

"God, you people are so sensitive," Roman said under his breath.

Charlie looked at Roman then at the little reaper girl. "Red, I'm done, I'm going home, take them, buh-bye!"

"W-what?" the girl asked confused as she saw the second man leave the store flipping everyone off as he left.

"For crying out.. Charlie! Wait! No Roman, you don't need him," the ginger said, "Men, get her," Roman told his other men, though his heart hurt from the abandonment of Murphy and Charlie.

What happened next?

It wasn't a glorious day for Junior's men. Nor did they ever think they'd get beaten by a girl in a skirt.

And Roman? He ran, or tried.

He would be caught by the red reaper, who herself would be caught by a grown woman, a Huntress.

And now? While Roman was being processed, the reaper was in an interrogation room. With the woman, and this was a scary woman.

"And you let two of them just walk away!" the blonde woman finished scolding the young reaper.

"Sorry! I just was confused, the first guy said he was done, threw his gun at a building and walked off, and then soon after hearing another one talking about monkey's, I think, walked off and flipped everyone off!" the young girl said.

The woman let out a sigh, "As confusing as that would be, you could have gotten seriously injured or someone else. Lucky for you, all those men had aura. If it was up to me, I'd send you home with a pat on the back," a sigh of relief came, "and a slap on the wrist!" she exclaimed slapping a riding crop on the table, getting a yelp from the girl. "But, that choice isn't up to me, someone would like to meet you."

"Ruby Rose," ah yes, our wizard appears at last! You know him, some of you love him! Oscar- wait. Ozma! Wait! Not right! Ozpin! There we go. "So, where did you learn to do this?" he inquired, as he played a recording of Ruby Rose, little Grim Reaper wannabe, kicking ass and taking names.

"Signal Academy…" Ruby responded, nervous as to what was to happen.

"They taught you how to wield one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?!" Ozpin inquired, little did he know, Ruby had actually wanted to make it even more deadly! With spikes! And a chain! Oh so much more deadly!

"W-well, two individuals actually…" said with a nervous chuckle following. Her nerves were soon put at ease as the professor put a plate of cookies in front of her.

Ozpin nodded as he and Glynda Goodwitch watched in a mix of horror and amazement as they saw he scarf down cookies, "It's just I've only seen one other scythe wielder wield like that, and another… how do I say this nicely… crazy? No, that isn't right, unique, when it comes to weapons."

"Hm Mhhm hmm Mhmm Hhhm!" she said with a mouthful. Soon, whipping her mouth and swallowing, "Sorry, that's my mom and Uncle Qrow! Well vice versa since Mom didn't use a scythe. I was total garbe before they taught me anything, but now! I'm like a WAAA WATCHAAA!"

This managed to get a chuckle out of the old wizard, along with a small smile from the blonde woman who just moments ago scared the girl. "Yes, Qrow and Summer, an odd pair, though they did give me a laugh the day we did landing stratagems, Qrow apparently shaved his legs."

A snort came from Glynda, containing the laughter, she and the staff watched that video when they needed to kill time.

"So, why does an adorable little girl like you want to be a Huntress?" Ozpin inquired.

"I want to be a Huntress. I only have two years left at Signal, then I plan to apply to Beacon, since my sister is starting there next week since she wants to be a Huntress. And I want to be a Huntress because I want to help people, and our parents always taught us to help others so I thought, "Might as well make a courier out of it ya' know?" I mean, police are alright, but being a Hunter is just so much cooler ya know!" Ruby's small speech soon turned into a fast rant, but still managed to get a smile out of the man.

"Do you know who I am?" Ozpin asked.

"Professor Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon Huntsmen Academy and Training & Cultural Exchange Academy."

"Hello."

"Nice to meet you."

Ozpin smiled at the girl, "Now, if I were to ask you, "would you like to come to my school, Beacon that is, what would you say?"

Ruby almost jumped out of her seat, "I would love to!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Well I'm sorry," Ozpin cut in abruptly. Leaving Ruby in a shocked state. Was the man toying with her. "Due to the last class size from the training school, we could not take any more students," Ozpin said bluntly.

"Ozpin," Glynda glared at him. Seeing as he was trying to have fun with his poor taste in comedy.

"But!" Ozpin said, feeling as if he didn't hurry, he'd either need implants like Ironwood or be sent to his next incarnation. "Since you are still in training how about I put you into a program I've been working on?"

That caught Ruby's attention, "P-program?"

Ozpin nodded, "Well, as you know with so many Terrans in one school is a very diverse place, now I want to try getting some Remnants in school with them to try and, as the name of the school implies, exchange culture. With your parents permission, we'll allow you to join the third year unit, like a team but made of 8 people. You won't be the only Remnant, we have a few people interested." Ozpin explained. "And since I would like to give you a spot, how about this, you'll alternate classes such as history, Grimm Studies, and Combat, between the training and Huntsmen academy, we can work details out late-," as he was about to finish, the young reaper grabbed the professor's hands and shook them.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Ruby thanked the man.

"Great, oh and before we end things," Ozpin called her, "Try to not use the word "Monkey" unless you're talking about the animal."

"Oh! My baby girl is leaving me!" Summer Rose, if not looking carefully, you might think Ruby was a clone of the woman, but no, this was her mother.

"M-mom! Can't! Breath!" Ruby struggled as she flailed her arms, trying to escape her mother's death bear hug.

"Sorry! It's just! I'm so excited for you! You'll be going to school with your sister!" Summer exclaimed with glee before looking Ruby dead in the eye with a stare that could freeze Hell over, "Make sure she doesn't do anything crazy."

"I will," Ruby said quickly, not wanting to have this conversation for long.

"Oh! I'll miss you!" Summer said before giving her daughter another hug. "If you are in trouble, call me, or your dad, or your sister… or Mrs. Maple from down the road."

"Mom, I will!" Ruby said to her mom. "Listen, I need to go soon, the Airship will be leaving soon."

Summer let out a disappointing sigh, letting go, "Alright, well call us when you're settled in."

Ruby smiled before giving her mom a quick hug. "Alright, love you mom!" she waved, as she rushed onboard the airship.

Beacon Training & Culture Exchange Academy, like the Huntsman Academy, was right by the cliff only a bit to the left.

All the students for the school wore verified colors of sweatshirts, hoodies, and other items of clothing with verified flags on the front and sleeve of each student. Ruby had made a game of counting the number of times she saw a student from a different country.

Ruby had gotten herself a similar jacket for herself, it was one with the Vale crest, which stood out from the triangle shaped flags around her.

"Another Remnant?" a voice said from behind her, causing the young reaper to jump from where she stood.

"Gah!" Ruby yelped as she turned around seeing who was behind her. It was a boy who was pale, his hair snow white, and his eyes ice blue, much like everyone else he wore a jacket, but like her it had a Remnant crest, Atlas's. "Didn't notice you there."

"No," the boy said, looking at her, "no you didn't."

"Well… hello, I'm new here, I'm Ruby! Ruby Rose!" Ruby extended her hand to greet him. Which got a genuine surprised reaction out of him.

He raised an eyebrow, "You don't know who I am?" a shook head was what he got as a response, "the white hair, white eyes? Nothing?" nope. Well he was either talking with an idiot or someone who just lived under a rock. "Well I'm Whitley Schnee, son of CEO Jacques Schnee, of the Schnee Dust Company."

"Hmmm," Ruby looked like she was thinking, "I'm sorry… it sounds familiar." Okay, so she might just be an airhead? Whitley wasn't like his sister, who would call her a dolt and a blockhead, he was more reasonable than that.

"Well, I'm sure you'll recognize it when you see the case," he said. "Say, do you want to look around campus?"

"Oh, that'd be great! I don't know why, but I got a feeling I'd get lost if I didn't get help!" Ruby exclaimed.

Whitley sighed, feeling as if he got himself a headache.

"You bloody Yankee! Get back here! A blonde boy yelled running past them.

Going past them, a boy with black hair Asian yelled back, "Bight me, red coat!"

"So, you have an older sibling going through initiation as well?" Whitely asked.

"Yeah," Ruby nodded, "she's pretty cool, super strong, pretty, kind of a hot head," she said having a chuckle, "though she does have a bad sense of humor, makes offal puns."

Whitley let out a hum in acknowledgment, "Well, don't tell anyone I said this… but, my sister kind of has a stick up her-"

His voice was muffled by the sound of two familiar faces sitting at a table.

"Checkmate!" the blonde boy from before yelled.

"Damn you!" the black haired boy yelled back.

"Ha, Yankee don't know how to play chess?" the blonde mocked.

"I am going to hurt you, you damn red coat!"

"Whitley, you shouldn't say something like that!" Ruby told the boy who'd shrug.

"Well, it's true, if you accidentally bumped into her, she'd yell at you, call you an idiot and then leave," the white haired boy said matter-of-factly. "Want to grab something to eat?"

"Sure!" Ruby cheered.

"I thought all you Americans liked your football!" the blonde boy yelled at the black haired Asian.

"Well sorry for not conforming to stereotypes! I just don't like it! Or… baseball, golf, and basketball."

The blonde looked at him in horror, "but isn't baseball your nation's pastime?"

"I mean, I guess?" he said.

"You bloody Yankee's make no sense," the blonde sighed.

"Yeah yeah, you red coat."

Whitley and Ruby both sat in the cafeteria looking at the two, wondering what was going on.

"You know, I've been seeing them all day, and still haven't figured out why they are calling each other that, the blonde isn't even wearing red," Whitely said looking at the two.

"Maybe it has something to do with nationality?" Ruby guessed.

"Ding ding ding! Ten points to Gryffindor!" a voice said to them, a brown haired boy, with an Australian accent, followed by an Japanese girl. The boy smiled, "mind if we sit here?"

"Sure, go ahead, now what was this about points?" Whitley asked, confused.

"It's a book joke," the Japanese girl said, "I'm Kuzaki Y- wait other way… I'm Yu Kuzaki, I'm never going to break that habit." the girl, Yu, muttered in defeat.

The Australian chuckled, "No worries, you'll get it. I'm Mathew Lee, now to let's see. You cape girl," he said looking at Ruby, "are from Vale, easy, and you're… from Mistral?"

"Atlas," Whitley corrected him, "now can you explain this "Yankee and red coat" thing?"

"Oh, that's easy. The boy, Alex Delgado, is an American, so he is a Yank, or Yankee, and the other one is Arthur Ride, a Brit, who often wears red, of course he's wearing blue today, but that isn't important, what is is the history joke Alex is making, in his countries revolution they fought Britain but back then they called them red coats due to the color of the uniform."

"History joke," Ruby uttered. A part of her wished it wasn't a joke, Yang PTSD flashed before her eyes.

"Well, nice to meet you, I'm Ruby Rose, and this is Whitley!" Ruby introduced the two of them.

"Alright Yankee, the orientation will begin soon, we will meet the new dormmates then watch Hell's Kitchen," Arthur said as the two got ready to go.

"Oh, they also both share a man crush on Gordon Ramsay," Mathew said with a chuckle as eyes fell on him.

"SHUT IT YOU UPSIDE DOWN BASTARD!" Arthur yelled.

"They both like food related shows," Yu said, taking Mathew's drink and taking the rest of it.

"Hey!"

"Orientation starts soon," she said walking away.

"W-wait! Yu!" the Australian yelled, going after her.

Whitley and Ruby watched as the students interacted with one another, some bickering, some joking, and some just trying to find someone to help them. And the two Remnants only thought one thing.

"These guys are weird," Ruby muttered, getting a nod from Whitley.

"Ruby! Over here! I saved you a spot!" a soon to be Beacon student called to the young reaper.

"Oh, Whitley! That's my sister, I gotta go! See you later!" she said, waving him goodbye.

Ruby rushed away, leaving the white haired boy by himself. Fortunately(or not) he did have someone to find. His dearest sister, Weiss.

"So, how's it going baby sis? Hey, nice jacket where did ya' get it?" Ruby's sister, Yang Xiao Long asked her sister. Her sister smiled indicating that she had a good time, much like her.

Ruby grinned with glee, "Thanks, they were handing these out to students, and has something to do so new students who can't speak English that well can find someone who can speak with them," Ruby explained. "Anyways, today was great! I mean, I was a little nervous, but then a student from Atlas came by, we also kept on running into an American and British student, then talked with an… Austrian? No wait, Australian student and… I don't remember if she was Chinese or Japanese, I can't remember which flag was which, it was white with a red dot, then we came here!" the young reaper said all this in one breath.

"Well congrats on making friends! I'm glad you're coming out of your shell!" Yang said, patting Ruby on the back.

"I don't have a shell!" Ruby protested.

"Yes you do Rub, yes you do," Yang said.

"So this is the person you've been associating with?" someone said looking at the sisters. Long white hair parted to the side, wearing a white dress with a pale blue hem, much like Whitley her hair was snow white, her skin a fair white complexion, and her eyes piercing blue.

"Yes, sister. This is Ruby Rose, MY real and actual FRIEND," Whitley said, putting extra emphasis to the words my and friend. "Ruby, this is my sister, and I assume… this is a friend?" Whitley questioned, not seeing any resemblance between the two of them.

"Sister, Whitley, this is Yang. Yang, this is Whitley."

"You two look nothing alike," Weiss said, looking between them.

"Half sisters," both girls said at the same time, getting a hum of understanding from the two Schnee's.

"Eh-hem," Ozpin called to the crowd of students, "I'll keep this brief. You all traveled here in the search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire unique and new skills. And when you leave, you plan to dedicate your life to protecting the peace, the people. But I look amongst you new students, and all I see is wasted energy. Looking for purpose and direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, your time here will show you something, a lesson, that knowledge can only take you so far. You have to be the one to take the first step," and so the wizard left, with Glynda taking the stand.

"All new Beacon Training students please wait for Ms. Oak to take you to your dorms, and all Huntsmen in training, you may leave. Those of you awaiting initiation will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow initiation begins. Be ready and good luck. Welcome to Beacon."

"Damn! You get to have a dorm room already? I'm jealous!" Yang said, slapping Ruby's back, putting a little extra oomph in it.

"Ow," Ruby groaned.
